Happy new year … yeah 16 days later, but still.

So during the Holidays I got the idea of using fresh pressed fruit in total of 80% Orange Juice and 20% Mandarin oranges Juice which I later ferrmented with wine yest using the same method as you do with apples or Pears to make Cider.

So now in January the mix was finished oddly enough earlier then I had expected, As there was a lack of an offical name for it I named the mix “Pirates Screw” mostly cause it a first test tasted like a screwdriver(Vodka + Orange Juice). Now I don’t know how much alcohol it ended up with but an estimate is around 10-15% something like that, though as understood this was made on raw fruit juice so its not sweetend at all, works ok to mix with Cola or any Schwepers mix I guess. Before you ask, yes it is totally legal to ferment own juice for own consumption BUT not for sale or so I have understood the law as it is written.

So I am within my right as I am not making it for sale but for own consumption

So that is one experiment I have been toying around with for the new years and its been a buzz (sorry I just had to pun).

I have been playing alot of Battlefield 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic since I last wrote and its been alot of fun, I had been planing on getting my hands on Modern Warfare 3 but the price is still to high for a game I have heard so much bad reviews and response to even dwel my head into it… From what I have heard of Modern Warfare 3 is that its simply a retouching on Modern Warfare 2 which it in itself was a retouch of the first modern warfare, so the idea kind of disguts me from taking any chance at all if not at a good price to do so.

Stronghold 3 proved to be interesting but had alot of bugs (though not as bug striken as some games I could quote), Firefly Studios however are somewhat faster then most companies to repair the bugs so its still a valuable game to all and any Talking about Firefly Studios, isn’t it about time they make a sequel to Space colony or even CivCity:Rome, I know I enjoyed hours of gameplay with Space colony, even had tantrums over it when things went south faster then a wookie when losing a game…

Now on to Star Wars: The Old Republic(SWTOR) I find myself back in the world of Star Wars once more and loving it, this time as a Sith, now that from most who know me is not my cup of coffee as I am not the type of player to go for the “evil” characters as priority but I can play it, afterall Evil is also a way to be, as long as your not such in real life.

So as a Sith Inquisitor I gained rank as a Level 42 Sith Assassin with Dark alignment III, I seem to get the better gear if I choose dark options so I have had to adapt to do the dark evil deeds, much like torture and death in the game Overlord when going for the Evil victory for achievement hunting

While I do play on an RP server, I do not really RP but I do not interfeer or try to block or get in the way of those who do, respecting that they wish to do such I am just on here by the guilds choosen path, though it has a benefit of less childish and/or abusive players to play with.

There are still a few players that dosent seem to know the difference between ” /1 ” General Chat and ” /3 ” Trade Chat, now It can be fine if its just the single player doing a WTB or WTS in general, but we all know that pretty soon it will be several trying to post over the other thus they should be in the Trade channel… but that will come sooner or later and it dosent really bother me to much.

Anyway I am to tired to write anymore right now, so I will go take a nap after dinner, have fun and play fair.

Stronghold and Battlefield, 3 is comming.

Stronghold 3

From what I have seen in dev trailers and media, the game will be a canonical story from that of the first Stronghold game, the story apparently takes of where the arch villain of the first game “the Wolf” was killed or rather presumed such, returning on a march of revenge.

Much of the media shows new features like that of daytime passage to night and vice verse, using the game engine Trinigy Vision Engine that was used in Settlers 7 & Arcania: Gothic 4 to name a few, thus the game uses Havok Physics Engine which was used in games like Company of Heroes, Fallout 3, TES4:Oblivion and Starcraft 2 and Portal 2 to mention a few selected games.

So far the game sounds like a wining concept and building on my own experience with Stronghold, Stronghold Crusader and Stronghold 2, It would not surprise me if lessons learnt from what worked and what did not in the game series might make this a heavy seller and a major attraction to castle builder fans and newcomers to the series.

I don’t remember if it was after a year or just how long after I had played stronghold 2 for several month on end that I took the guts to contact Firefly studios about if there would be a Stronghold 3 to be seen in the coming years, the answer back then was that they were busy with another project that for the moment slips my mind… but conclude that a new installment of the series would possibly be in development in a few years time and here we are now a few years later and just 24 hours of its release on Steam.

Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 has seen a lot of good response and bad responses in social media, most of the more common talk is the EA retraction of some digital titles on Steam in favor of its own Origin platform, many seem to think of the Origin client app as rather buggy and less intresting or useful to the consumer and feels more like a DRM infected inbetween client rather then what I believe EA was aiming for a Launchpad application with secured login and digital store for unlocking access to other games.

To me Origin is just a lite version of steam with limitation and feels like it was rushed into competition with Steam and Impulse when it should have made a bigger name for itself before it began kicking at Steam and removing titles instead of co-releasing on both platforms at once, though I see that Battlefield 3 having a browser based interaction interface before entering the game itself would cause a major delay and a lot of work to make it compatible with steam…

Anyway back to Battlefield 3.

From my own experience and the luck I have had with being in multiple beta and alpha versions of Battlefield games among most proudly Battlefield 2142, which was a reason me and a few friends invested in setting up a Battlefield 2142 dedicated server with the GSP I am still a customer at *wink* where we ran under the tag [BLYFRI] for a time until we could not keep up payments and had other issues at hand.

The frostbite 2 engine use in Battlefield 3 is indeed impressive and makes the game great, I myself would prefer the old Battlefield 2/2142 graphics, though I think that is because of nostalgia.

What I found to be a good addition is the suppression feature, now at least you can include tactics based on suppressive fire where a support infantry can suppress the enemy making it harder for the enemy to hit your friends advancing from cover to cover to get to the objective, though this type of gameplay is unheard of in games below professional gamers or those who are prone to good teamwork.

I like that they have once again included Jets into Battlefield, kind of missed them since the jets in battlefield 2, though i was never a good pilot due to less experience or practice with the jets in battlefield 2 mostly cause they were always the first to be taken, much like attack helicopters in bad company 2 and so on.

I am hoping to see a lot of interesting battles in the future with Battlefield 3 as well as on the stamfaste.se server, even though its limited to 24 slots I still think it will be good for a low ping server and if funds increase I can always increase the amount of slots on the contract.

Anyways I shant be dragging on any longer I have more things to do and some preparing for the Stronghold 3 release

Diagnosis: Diabetes

Hello all.

So, for much of the time during summer up until last week I had numbness in the tips of my fingers and in my legs on and off, had it not been for a medical side effect with one of my curent medications I would not have visited the local clinic to consult our house doctor.

I did not know that it was a side effect of my medication as it was not listed and was concluded as a side effect fairly recently in medical science according to the Doctor.

I had an EKG and bloodworks to check on the numbness issue, thinking it might be due to low bloodpressure, When I came back to revisit the week after for the lab results, the doctor told me “You have Diabetes”.

It was a shock indeed, The doctor remised me to the Diabetes department of the Hospital for further checks to see what type of Diabetes I had and initial help with medical equipment and its uses.

As far as I have understood, I have Diabetes Type 2, which means I will be on insulin shots for a while and pills until my body adjusts enough so I can be only on pills, which is great cause I hate needles…, So for now I take a dosage of 10 units of insulin at around 8′ish everyday.

I have a monitor/control device that i put a test stick into that will check my blood (after I pricked my finger with the needle device they gave me) and it should say my levels, hopefully I should reach a more normal level in a week or two, then its just a balance act of diet and excerise to keep it in check.

What is somewhat annoying is that my diet now strictly forces me to read labels for the content of salt and sugar(s) so that its not in to high levels per 100 gram, which means I am off most fizzy drinks, Juice, cakes, cookies, donuts and the likes, but that is what I need to do so guess its just something I will have to get used to I guess.

Hi all.

I have been busy with a lot of stuff since last, including my new computer, which is freakin’ awesome btw.

I bought a computer case a few years back a Cooler Master Cosmos S, It has been standing empty until i could gather funds for its equipment, and to find a shop that could attach the CPU on the motherboard and a good CPU cooler, I was not sure what CPU cooler I would put in the build so I choose one on recommendation, a NH-D14, that thing is larger then I thought..

It may not look like it on the picture, but I could attach memory in all slot without to much problem.

My SSD drive (main hard drive) took a bit of time to get into the Hard drive holding unit as I had to attach a 2’5 to 3’5 kit on it so it would be compatible with the case.

The 2TB HDD wasn’t easy to attach either, cause for some reason it was a little thicker then the Hard drive holding units slots, so I had to pretty much force it in but it worked.

The rest was pretty much straight forward, exception from the PSU as it is bottom mounted in the case, I thought it was best to invest in a +600W PSU so I went with a OCZ-ZX850W (80+ Gold) so got enough juice to play with and modular cable setup so less cables to hassle with

After all that I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64, works out well with the 12 GB RAM I have in the computer…
Why that amount?, well I thought I ordered 6GB, but I misread the labels thinking it was 2 packs of 3GB, when it was in fact (2x) packs of 3 sticks of 2GB, oops

so thinking everything is fine I install everything nothing seems wrong, a failure in the installer fro the GPU, didn’t think much of it since the computer seems to work around whatever is missing, however…

I thought just for fun I’ll check how high the score with Futuremark benchmark will get me, it ran ok until it was going to calculate the points, apparently this error that I pretty much ignored, reads out as if my GPU was 1MB rather then the 2GB it is…

I have been trying to read up on AMD forums about it but nothing seems available on it, is it a Windows 7 x64 error perhaps? …no idea…

Anyway, the computer works fine as it is anyway and thankfully I have been able to calm myself from the anxiety and stress the new comp build has given me and all that, I am just happy I can now play games with high quality and smooth graphics (always a plus)

60% of my days are in front of my computer and it is not something I really wished for really, due to the lack of local venues and the deep-reluctance in my subconscious called ‘agoraphobia’, that which I believe is lined in with my fear of having a panic attack in a public place, again…

I had a really horrible panic attack in the ”Tekniska Högskolan” subway station in Stockholm a few years back where I ended up lying in the middle off the station floor for more than an hour, the attack was so intense I had apparently vomited and been unable to even sit up for most of the time, I had also been slugish in speech and not been hard to keep in contact with, two people apparently had in the morning rush hour traffic stoped up to check on me and contacted my parents on my phone.

I do not remember the two people nor remember anything after I had steped on the subway car at “Danderyds Sjukhus” until I woke up later in the afternoon in my bed ..apparently I had showered before i got in bed and slept in the towel straight after, I could not remember anything and got to know later that day what had happend.

I am thankful that two people in this stressful world took concern of someone they did not know that was in apparent trouble and was not able to help themself in such a situation, I wish I could thank them face to face, but I guess that will probably never happen… but, where ever they are they should know that I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

The future generation and battle with stress

Hello again

I have been worrying about what I need or can do in the future to help my children or friends to avoid getting stress related diseases or problems, let’s be honest none of us are unaffected by stress… well unless you’re a Buddhist Monk that has reached ultimate solitude.

I mean what can you do to relieve yourself of excess stress, what can you avoid in everyday life?, think about it, do you need to take multiple different public transportation to get to a job or school for example, and it is often in the last minute or you when in transit race to get through the different means of transportation as fast as possible?

Take a few minutes and think about it, I used to do just that, race between the different trains, subway or buses to get from home to school, often without reason running to get to the first available and fastest route to get to my end destination… Why?, I wasn’t in any hurry most of the time, I could have waited until the next train or whatever it wasn’t like I didn’t have time to wait…

So why didn’t I just stop up and wait?, Humans are somewhat easily influenced by their surroundings, thus I believe I may have been sent into this “race” by those around me that indeed seemed to be in a hurry or in a panic to get somewhere before a certain time, like life is a time race of sorts.

Now this has just been an example of what could be a part of stress damage that can be found among many in today’s society, If one goes into my past and begin recording everything from age 4 until like 15 of all the bullying which caused anxiety and depression to cause even further bullying and being pushed away from the normal social progression pushing bad judgment in choosing some friends that indeed was not friends at all but using you in own selfish needs…

Anyway, as you from most of this you should now understand why I want to help the next generation of my own kin and friends or even the world progress towards a healthier world and better understanding of how to avoid or control stress.

I believe I may well one day be able to shirk of most of the stress damages that has been inflicted in my childhood and teen years, but will always have lacked that being a kid and social development most people get as they are young and will thus always be sort of an outsider in that remark.

…A thought just hit me, the stereotypical response from the those that never had the hardships or claims they got stronger from it is to “build a bridge, and get over it” which is as logical as telling a rape victim to go back to their job the day after the incident and get over it!*, which you must agree is that they are totally out of their minds.

*=(Believe me, I disliked using that example and would taken something else would I have thought of anything that is worse.)

So what can we do to prepare the children and youth of tomorrow to handle and relieve themselves of the excess stress in life and lower the rates of stress related diseases in the future?

I am no psychologist thus what I am describing and suggest is what I have experienced and concluded by own dealings with said professionals on the subject of my own mental health and what could be done and what could have been done and so on.

Many times suggestions are that one should take deep breathing exercises or any gentle form of meditation, this I agree on, but a word of warning, one should study and practice meditation in moderation and be mindful that there are some danger in meditation one should be mindful of, I recommend a few searches on a search engine on the internet about meditation, “meditation science” and “dangers in meditation”.

Consulting with my family doctor suggests that exercises may be a way to help with stress related problems and diseases, I agree here as well, in combination with light meditation it be a good combination and give a better quality of life, albeit some, like myself for example may need a friend or family member to be involved in the exercise if they have something like Agoraphobia or such to strengthen the feeling of safety for the person that suffers from it.

Some with stress related diseases may benefit from talking sessions with a psychologist or a trained voluntary support person, though in some cases this is a counter-effective solution as meeting new people may well be a stress multiplier for some when having to talk with someone that is new about their stress problems, even the psychologist, unfortunately this did not help me much for example as during a long period the local psychology department in my town had temporary psychologists on loan or that was for some reason or another just there for a few months and was soon to move on to another region/town, so at a time I had a new one for every planed session…

In some cases having a voluntary person by the department as an “assigned buddy” is more uncomfortable than talking freely to a person in the family, a good friend or significant other.

Many with stress diseases find themselves stuck in home due to being uncomfortable in a perceived “unsafe” environment for fear of having a panic attack or problems related to their stress damage/disease, this is more commonly known as Agoraphobia which I mentioned earlier in this post.

There are of course many different ideas and experiences of how and what one can do about stress, this of course is different pending on the person…

As you have read this, I suspect that you will at least have a better understanding of how my view is in daily life at least a little bit, there are of course so much more that could be suggested and written about on this subject, but I fear it would possibly get me into a long ranting that wouldn’t make much sense in the long end of things.

So, what do you think after reading this? what could help our future generations handle stress in a more efficient way and possibly a more healthier future?, comments and suggestions are most welcome

Minecraft and the Social Insurance Agency, Lack of Money

Hi all

It’s been a long while since I last posted anything and yes, I am alive!

I have since last post been playing Minecraft, bought it sometime back in the alpha version, been playing almost daily and its indeed growing on me, building stuff and an entire world..

I made a private server that my friends and friends of friends play on, we had a major mishap however with the old world when it converted to the new variant in version 1.3 of Minecraft which for some reason began to make some zones inaccessible, some “chunks” of the game world shuffled or reloaded completely new ones destroying months of work, but we managed to save parts of it and started a new server world and nothing heavier then some lag and chunk loading lag issues.

Onward to something more interesting, during January I was on a visit to the psychologist, yet another new one…, it went ok I think, however, during the talk she asked me to check on my current pension and so on, apparently the Social Insurance Agency was running under new regulations to a more pro-capitalist one where they don’t remind you that its time to re-apply medical pension and that I should apply for a permanent pension, mayhap it be cause I have not had any positive results thus far, figure its permanent after almost 10 years..

So you understand that my pulse was high when I got home from the psychologist and not only was she correct, my current pension was on the last month!, so we wrote together the application for permanent pension and together with the psych sent in a revised edition of my last test results to try and establish a diagnosis of my problems.

After we had sent in all papers and such we received a letter some time in February stating that it was in line for evaluation/judgement in June…

As my last pension payout was in January, I have had to limit much of my daily activities, thus far my economy in accordance to my planning will cover enough pay my bills and medication up until July with some hope.

Lucky enough I still live at home so I don’t have to worry about rent, but I do help out with the funding for food and such, that is the least I can do, I dream of the day when I have enough money to keep up with a rent, food and medication or even better get well and regain the ability to handle a job.

Anyway I will end this here and hope to get back soon with a new post, and something more to write about then myself ,and recent events around me.

The gaming birthday and Anime shopping HD

Hello again all.

I don’t think anyone in the world has missed that a Swedish political party that is known to be racist made it into the Swedish Riksdag, as I do not wish to promote them or even give them any further notice, I will not type its name here nor write about them in my blog from this point.

On the note of politics I will go ahead and talk about the political party I myself am a member of Pirat Partiet (The Swedish Pirate Party) which I voted for of course, Pirat Partiet got 0.65% votes this time, which might be a small result but still a victory over that of the 2006 election when they had 0.63%.

When I have taken my time to talk to people about Pirat Partiet they often go in one straight line, saying that the party has no use and it only has one goal, that of legalizing file sharing, this of course is wrong and it is often a surprise to them when I tell them that the party fights for the reform of copyright law, abolishment of the patent system & the respect for the right to privacy.

I think that if the party can make more people aware of those goals in a greater outreach for the Parliament elections 2014, we can get over the 4% vote line and get seats in the Riksdag.

…enough about politics, onward to something different.

I still need to find a shop that can supply me with Anime that has English subtitles (not English or Swedish dubbing) and offer them in HD Quality, this is cause I now have a TV with Full-HD (1080p) that can give me the full potential of my Sony Playstation 3.

My bow old TV was an old CRT model from SABA, it has to acting strange the last couple of weeks so I decided it was in my best interest to get a new one, so I bought a Philips 221T1SB yeah it’s a breakfast TV, but it fits in with my economy which is not that good at the moment.

I hope that as soon as my economy improves again I can start buying the anime TV-series I have seen lately, and some I wish to see cause I have seen some scenes on YouTube among others…

Civilization 5 has been released and I think most of the core fans have had their chance to play and enjoy the new changes to the Civilization game series, I enjoyed a few plays since the release.

On the issue of games the Left 4 Dead series has some new updates coming… today actually at the time of posting this in fact as I am posting it past midnight.

So what are the new updates?, For Left 4 Dead we get the campaign “The Sacrifice” and for Left 4 Dead 2 we get both “The Sacrifice” and “No Mercy” campaigns, so I expect many will be busy playing these new campaigns.

I might as well mention that there is a comic made for this event available at the left 4 dead website & blog, link – http://www.l4d.com/comic/ – .

Up and coming game this month is Fallout: New Vegas, I have heard a lot of people hope it will be as good as Fallout 3, I am a bit more sceptical to if it will be as good or better, time will of course tell.

I hope that I will be able to Live broadcast from the game when I get it, I broadcast my game play as I might have mentioned so that others who are unsure if they want to buy the game or not can see a bit of it and see if they like what the see and can start to play the game themselves.

October 21st is coming up which is my birthday on which I will turn 27, if you had asked me when I was 17 how life would look at 27 I would have said that I would be coming home from work as a computer technician and celebrate my birthday with my wife, child, cat and friends until late evening then spend the rest of the night with the wife looking at the stars…

Yeah I know, back then I had dreams and thought I knew how life would turnout, but life is never that easy, nor is it without it’s challenges, cant believe it myself that at the end of October it will be 9 years since I had my first panic attack and the start of significant changes in my life.

Twitter a Life and post-surgery questions

I mentioned on Twitter that I would make a post about an average day in my life.

Well lets take it that my mornings are like anyone else wake up, take a shower and so fort, OK.

After lunch is when most things sort of happened so to say, I come up to my room with a cup of coffee, turn on the main screen on my computer and check my mail and activate Tweetdeck to read a few twitter posts and maybe give a response to some, including retweets.

This is about the time I try to figure out what to do until dinner time, I look thru my PC Games database, the few PS3 Games and Anime Database to see if something interests me that day.

Sometimes I just simply cant decide on something and go by what someone else is playing on my friends list hoping they are playing some game that allows multiplayer and that there are several playing on an available good server.

If I cant get anything going for me be it just don’t feel like it or one of my problems that pretty much lock out my “Fun” response area of the brain or whatever to call it, basically I explain it as being at a comedy show hearing awesome comedy then like instantly mid joke or something all shuts down, nothing can be perceived as fun, all is dull and boring and I might as well go to bed and stare into the wall.

Often I re-watch Anime on my PS3 or the VHS/DVD player, pending if its on DVD, BluRay or VHS, …I have been thinking of getting a flat TV instead of the large heavy thing I have now, but that isn’t easy with my economy, each month I get about 6000 Swedish Kroner (roughly counting i think about 600 Euros), I pay for the Internet at home, my medication and a share of the rent and a share of the food budget, as you can imagine that doesn’t give me a lot of funds to other things.

Back in January I told you all about my visit to the urologist and what happened there (see Surgery Star Wars and Japanese), however I have gotten questions on the surgery and what I meant with that “my foreskin was extremely tight”, well all my life I have pretty much thought that it looked like most other men’s, but apparently the skin had narrowed itself so that the head could barely get thru the opening… which basically mean that if i ever would have tried to have sex it would have involved the foreskin broken apart and a lot of blood, so from a technical point of view I could not have had sex with anyone even at gun point (lol I know, but you get the idea).

Streams of Games and Twitters of Beauty

Recently I have begun to live broadcast and record my game sessions so I can upload them to my Livestream account I got thru Xfire.

Although the videos are not in the best quality it is sufficient enough for the time being and I am not doing anything I would consider professional so quality isn’t on my mind.

Due to limitations of the Xfire application I cant broadcast from some games, that is if I do not adapt the Xfire settings file to allow me to do so if it is possible, else I have to fraps the video and put it together in Windows Movie Maker so it fits within the 1GB source video limitation of the upload capacity to my Livestream account.

The videos are then recoded by Livestreams server so that it works optimally with the websites video player and other services provided by Livestream.

My account type at Livestream is limited to a storage of 10GB I will make backups of videos that are a couple of months old, my intention with the videos is to give potential future players or current players a chance to see the game and as well see how I approach obstacles or what tactics I use in a certain situation that may help them or provide a view to base own tactics for that game.

The warm weather and the limited access to cooling down as my room temperature with the ceiling fan on and window wide open is roughly 25~26c at night and about 28~29c in the day.

My economy can’t handle the purchase of any cooler apparatus at this moment in time but maybe for next year, so I will have to stand the heat this summer.

I twitter as many already have guessed and I am fairly active on it now and then, among those I follow on twitter is VampyBitme a cool & beautiful girl that is a cosplayer, model/stylist and plays video games .

I find her interesting cause I see her as a fun person by her twitter messages and her responses to my own twitters to her, and she has a passion for what she does that I admire to see in people, If I had the possibility I would someday in the future like to go to visit her just to be able to meet this friendly vampire, you can visit her blog at http://blog.vampbeauty.com/

Sadness, Allergy, Gaming and Dreams

Sunday April 18th morning, my aunt took her last breath and passed away, she was 53, she was my favourite aunt and she was one of those who in my life gave support and strength even at times when I did not need it.
My aunt and I both have Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency, which in some may cause emphysema in their later life and there is also a small risk of liver problems.
This is one of those reasons I immediately stopped smoking and at later stage stopped drinking alcohol at parties.
The way I found out I had this deficiency was thru a blood test where my mother asked the doctor that it be tested for in the same time they were probing to find an answer to why I had panic attacks, this being at the spring the year after I got my first panic attacks, as you might understand I had no real knowledge of what the deficiency was about other than that my aunt had it and she was a heavy smoker when younger and had a more progressed situation.
This means that when she came for a visit we had to clean the house at least the day before to remove and clear out dust as well we could not wear any perfumes or antiperspirants which could be bad for her lungs, those who know people with asthma or acute perfume allergy should recognize the need of keeping a clean environment and the air clean of high/heavy concentration chemicals.
Do I have any reaction to high dust or chemical allergy?, Yes I do have reactions to them but not in that extent, I can get nausea and dizziness from some types of perfume over usage or heavy perfumed fabric softeners.
The usual behavior I have seen when people see others that are allergic showing reactions to these things is often simple ignorance or the assumption that the person(s) is faking it to get attention or that they don’t ‘approve’ of the certain smell they are wearing.
Anyway getting bad memories on the subject of perfumes so I will go on to something different.

Mount & Blade: Warband

Mount & Blade in itself is a rather unique Action RPG even without the Warband stand alone expansion version, I myself have not played the original game but went straight for Warband and I love it and the M&B system seems rather easy to mod and I would not be surprised if there will be an abundance of excellent mods to be played in the coming years, having had some time to play the game and try out to start my own kingdom/faction in the game I found it lacking of a specific own faction/rebel kingdom army so I started fiddling on some new troops using “Morgh’s M&B Warband TXT Tools”.

To make it simple I plainly copied the “Native” (vanilla M&B:W game module) and renamed the copy to Rebelarmy that and then started playing around with the tool to see what I could do with it, as for the moment I have no intention of making it public, that is until I am certain that I can make the modified module legally public without problems, better safe then sorry.

Speaking of modifications to M&B:W, I was daydreaming on what one could do or modify into the game and here is a few ideas.

If your not joining a faction you might simply set up in a factions town and have one of your adventuring heroes establish in the local tavern as a mercenary liaison agent that offers men-for-hire to the local caravans heading from the city or if you are in good favor with the local lord offer your men for favorable rates and as favor improves maybe some of the loot from their campaigns or why stop there you are not a loyal subject so why play nice, have some shady dealings with the underworld providing information to lords of the other factions for a price, do some racketeering (extorting local businesses for “protection” money and such.) of course you must try and set up a regular bribe with the guards or risk be run out of town and fall in disfavor with the local lord and his faction.

‘Why not make the mod yourself?’ you might ask, well I would though I don’t think I could take the pressure, not with my stress tolerance at this time anyway, if I did have the right stress tolerance and knowledge of how to make the mod I would probably be punching code and going thru plans and asking for help from experienced modders that could provide some free on their off-time help with it.

Anyway let’s move on to something a bit different.

Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty to be released on the 27th of July!

I personally want to get into the story and see where the story takes me and what has evolved since the end of the Brood Wars expansion.
When it comes to RTS the story of the game tells if it has a good story that you want to replay the story again, I think they made it rather good in the previous Starcraft and I hope that it will be this time as well.
Multiplayer is as well a good angle but if the story of the game is not interesting enough to entangle the player into the story its just not worth it, but I don’t think it will be like that this time as the game is divided into 3 releases based on the 3 races each getting a game and a separate story that will make the full line, it’s a seriously great idea for those that are taken into the story as long as the story is worth it.

The only thing I believe that could seriously mess up the game would be if Blizzard made the same mistake UBIsoft made with settlers 7 and have a DRM that disgusts the players and potential customers from the game, and only reason I bought Settlers 7 was cause I am a fan of the series and had not seen the notice of the new type of DRM , had I seen it prior to pre-ordering it, I would not order it and wait until one of my friends had gotten it and tried it or actually wait for a cracked version of the game, Yes you read right, I would download the cracked game because of the DRM, because I believe that when you BUY a game and install it you should be able to play it out of the box no matter if you have an internet connection or not.

A DRM to me is like having a Condom you have to call the company and have the phone conversation during the sexual act to have the protection active thru it, and if you suddenly lose contact with the company on the phone, its protection stops working and all stops working, your partner and you become angry cause you have to stop early and cant resume until you manage to get back in contact with the company…
The moment has gone and it is not worth the effort and it will force you to look for a condom that works all the time during the usage of the product so that you can play for as long as you want.
I know a really odd (and disgusting) way of referencing it but you get the idea clearly, I do not like my games to be interrupted as it was when I was playing Settlers 7 the other day and it timed out a check for its DRM server thingy and ended the game, yes it ends the game shutting itself down when it cant get in contact with its “authentication” server.

I have had a dream the last few days where I am sitting on a stump looking out over a sea of flowers that is white and orange with a red middle and in the midst of the flowers sits 2 rather large white cats like the world of warcraft saber mounts sitting next to each other watching a white-purple-ish moon in the night sky with their tails semi tangling together like holding hands on and off, the last I see of this scene is a stream of light, like a star falling… then I wake up and I am back in my bed looking at the roof above my bed wide awake.

I sometimes wonder about my dreams and what they mean if anything..
