Organic Heirloom Tomato and Red Ruffle Basil Salad

4-5 Servings

Ingredients:

2 pounds heirloom tomatoes, different colors, such as pineapple, brandwine and green zebras 1 basket of multicolored cherry or grape tomatoes, yellow and red 1 bunch of Red Ruffle Basil or any other red or green basil that you can find, whole leaves torn from the stem1/2 cup of mixed fresh herbs: marjoram, thyme, tarragon, Italian parsley chopped Parmesan cheese shaved1/2 cup of good extra virgin olive oil 2-4 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar Fleur de Sel to taste Fresh cracked pepper

Method:

Core and slice large heirloom tomatoes into wedges. Remove stems from cherry tomatoes and cut in half.

Place tomatoes in a shallow bowl or on a platter. Drizzle the tomatoes with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle the chopped herbs and whole red basil over the top. Sprinkle again with fleur de sel and fresh cracked pepper. Toss and serve immediately.

Today is December 03, 2011.

The month is staring and the year is ending, December is a very important month for many of us Earthians, Reasons? well To begin with December is the last month of the year (Roman Calender). We make a big deal of the passing of time maybe because as time passes we get closer to the end of our time in earth. Christians for example, start counting time after the death of Jesus, AC: (After Christ) and BC (Before Christ). I wonder if we count the 33 years he lived on Earth? DC (during Christ) .....

In December Christians also Celebrate the Birth of Jesus and even though fact prove Jesus was not born on December some like to believed he did.

I like Christmas! I like the festivities, the food, the music and all the colors. must of all I like the traditions, ...and the rituals... Today is Black Friday 25 of Nov. 2011 8:30 in the morning

Yes I know sometimes we add colors to the days of the week specially the

black, we also have a black Tuesday and a red Monday

Black Fridays is the day after Thanksgiving and for the last 10 years or more the

Chamber of commerce (with money in mind), has manipulated the people by

making this day into the biggest shopping day of the year. You see we human

or happiness mainly on how much money we got and what can we buy with it.

Thanksgiving comes once a year on the 3rd Thruways of November, A day we

dedicated to give thanks to our God, the one Supreme Being, the creator and

ruler

of the universe. (I guest that made it your creator too, except we didn't ask you).

male deity, No body has ever seen him/her/it but we all know it is a male.

Believing in God is kind of complicated, and it has bring lots of problem into our

world, different people from different part of the world has different view about

God

As you could see that by the way the planet is ruining, this has bring war, hate

and divisions between us. Believing in God is a constant tug of war. Take

Christian for example they have "33,000 Denominations"

and they fight between each other. Yeah don't get me wrong, I believed in God is

the only way we can explain the coming and going into this planet.

I think that if you fix our difference about God and focus on him as a Supreme

spiritual being. who has not color, no race,and no gender. Love him and

respected him for what he is, and for God's sake stop the constant nagging of

asking him to solve of our problem and lets do it ourselves And maybe the

quality of life in our planet will improve by a big Percentage

Good Morning Peeps or who ever is reading at this time Today is Nov 18,

2011. its now 4:30 in the morning on my little corner of the world.

Time is something we earthians use to make sense of the planet

functions.

Do you guys used time? well I guest that depend of how big or small is

your planet ...or how many solar system ...or moons you have ...or if time

make sense to you at all. Well I hate to confesses that sometimes it does

no make sense to me either.

For some Earthians time is like a strict regiment one need to obeyed and

fallow with precision. I have a friend that to violate the time law is like an

Universal sin. - "We staring 5 minutes late, we need to start on time" or

"To drink coffee during the meeting takes time and its distracting"-

This is a crazy world! we have something call feelings, and its activated by

something call hormones. Women (females) have more hormones than

men (male) and at certain time of the month it could double or triple.

This is a very dangerous and defensive women weapon that must times

is used against Men.

Feelings could be fun too they make us laugh, and cheer and LOVE.

Flam de Leche (Dominican Flam)

Almost all Spanish speaking countries in their cuisine have the dessert "Flan", Mexicans, Central Americans, South Americans, Cubans and other Carribean nations, Spain, France calls it "Creme Caramel", Filipinos call it "Leche Flan" etc. it is very popular
INGREDIENTS .

1 cup of sugar.
1 can of sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces).
1 can of evaporated milk (12 ounces).
A pinch of salt (una pisquita de sal).
A dash of cinnamon.
5 eggs.
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
DIRECTIONS
Empty the cans of condensed and evaporated milk into a mixing bowl and stir vigorously for five minutes. Strain five eggs and add them to the milk mix, stirring vigorously for another five minutes. As you stir, add a pinch of salt, the vanilla extract, and the cinnamon into the mix.
Bake at 400 for about 1/2 hour or until a knife or stick come out clean
Cubans are known to use a caramel topping I used different kind of toppings

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 can of cream of corn
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Directions

In a bowl, combine dry ingredients; mix well. Add remaining ingredients and stir just until moistened. Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until bread tests done.

it rains every night and every morning lately.
They sky is gray and the day feel wet and cold. We're getting ready for winter that it will be here "ANYTIME NOW" and the snow will replace the rain.
I don't know if you guys in another planets could related to that but one day when you visit us you will understand.
The sun that provide us with energy has been cover by masses of clouds. The lock of sun light and energy made me sick and moody and consequently a very dangers HuMan weapon
I hope when ...and ...if you visit, you won't be offended by our mood swings. I know some people said you already visit, but I doubted. I think that if you come here you'll let us know. (won't you?) unless you are a peeping tom.
We are probably very lucky to liven on Earth, but we don't have anything to compared to, in the mid-time we are un-happy living in this world. -this is no paradise you know- Its more like a roll-a-coaster ride.
We only live here a limit amount of years and then we died. meaning we stop to exists, gone no more, disappear, but no without a fight.
we don't have a sure account of what happens to us after we died.

I've wake up early this morning, with the feeling of content, another Friday, another week gone by.

Friday is a day of reflection, a day to analyzed, a ME kind of day. I think of thing unfinished, words unsaid,

feelings unresolved. Next week I said to myself, Next week...

Everyday that passed its a day closer to our destination, a destination unknown. ...It just hit me, how we live our live with the uncertainty of a unknown tomorrow. A tomorrow we focus on, as if we are never going to die. But this is a post for another day, not today, no today...

Its a beautiful day outside, October is coming to an end. The temperatures are pleasantly cool, snogging kind of weather. (I don't mean in a smooching kind of way but cuddling kind of day).

I haven't get up yet, I'm still in bed, Hugging my blankets, I could easily spend the day like this. Watching old flicks, playing computer games, having someone bring me a tray of something light to much on. A cup of cocoa, Cream cheese on a toasted bagel, or a piece of quiche with some fruits will be fine to start.

...But reality creeps in and I must get up and resume the day, and pretend there is a future, and hope for a better tomorrow. Have a wonderful day.

^{Chilly con carne is a Mexican dish but it is so popular in USA that I think is as American as the Corn Dog.
I think The popularity of the dish is due to how fast and easy is to prepare it, beside being a filling and tasty dish.
I know that most of you know how to make chilly con carne dish, and this country do not need another chilly con carne recipe. What I am trying to teach you is how to simplified cooking.
Year ago I read a recipe book , "How to cook and prepare, Chinese food" I don't remember the name of the Author, but you do not find a single recipe in the book only methods and ways of cooking, that teach me to be practical when cooking anything, to improvised and substitute.
I had seen people with a recipe books going crazy because they can't find a particular ingredient needed for a particular recipe. People... improvise! In a case of being out of onions, on a recipe that call for onions I have skip the onions and double in other ingredients like garlic and peppers, the recipe has been equally delicious. I think that the more relax about cooking you are the better the taste. Notice: how those recipes, you have learn to prepare. always comes out tasting good.}^{I have been in situations where a recipe that call for meat, need a substitute (some people don't eat meat) with zuquini,}

eggplants, pumpkin or green beans, it is healthy and a delicious vegetarian dish, perfect for those in a diet,low protein,or low calories.
Remember that food is about ingredients, methods and love. Make cooking a delightful experience for those around you, get then involve in the process.
For example I get Dion involve by asking him to help me prepare, get me the eggs, and the milk, out the fridge, I also let him beat certain ingredients, I also let him taste and express his opinion After all he will be eating it.
All you cook should have your signature, one of my signature when cooking meat is to add a bit (very small amount) of nutmegs.
I find that it enhances the flavor of the meat. (I usually keep this to myself, like a secret ingredient).When cooking tomatoes sauce a hint of sugar kill the acid, adding a bit of sugar in the vinegar, made those vinaigrette's dressing taste delicious and kill the acid as well
Don't be afraid to experiment. I also love to stew my meat in a cast iron pot, it is my believed that it give a better taste and slower cooking proses to the meat. Its good to cure my cast iron pot by scrubbing the pot with salt and then burn it, now remember this is not a fact but a believe.

SARCASM N COFFEE

I've wake up this morning, no knowing what time it was. I keep my eyes close, hoping to keep on sleeping.

I've started thinking all kind of nonsense, yeah! this is the way I usually fall into that web we call sleep, but then I realize I must used the bathroom.

So here I am, laptop open, I'd first read my e-mails, My inbox is staring to look like my regular mailbox, (nothing but junk mail). Then I'd check facebook, the regular early people were on. read a few post and commented in one. Then I check Google+, what a bunch of stiff people over there. I keep going hopping it gets better, like a movie we don't really like but we watch it anyway. Do you know why facebook is so popular? its because its made for regular people, no professional braininess. "Google+ is good technology and non people skills" .

It cane to mind, I haven't have coffee yet. Once I've realize coffee is missing, I can function any more without it. I am taking a break to get my coffee going.

.....mmmmm good cup of Joe. I wonder why they called it Joe? it maybe the same reason why they call The toilet, John. lol I must look into that one day.

I love to collect coffee mugs, specially those that have some-kind of sarcastic comments on it, I think sarcasm and coffee goes together like a love n marriage. The one I'm using today said "I'm having a nice day, don't screw it up" So typical of me to blame someone else when things doesn't go well. Someone once ask me why I always blame anyone else when something doesn't work out. My answer to that was: "Do you think is healthy to blame myself?" o'course no! I don't care what the expert may said, we can't go around life blaming ourself for silly things, it distort our confidence.

You may find lots of bad grammar but what you want from me, I speak with an accent and I'm suck at grammar. here I said it.

A WHACK ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD!
Its Monday Morning, the best day to write.

After the weekend melodrama there it much more to be said and a lot to reflect on.

Talking about practicability, this world was built by a practical God or Gods. Yeah! now... I lost you. I know.

I believed in one Supreme being, "One God" but -what if...." he delegate to others Gods. Won't be easier if God has other Gods to help him. There are trillions of people praying, asking, demanding of his favors. To many even for a supreme being like him. Definitively he needs help. and now with the Internet the prayers are even more and louder. - As I had seen on facebook, prayers creating a domino effect- People demanding from other to pray with then. "....If you are my friend you post this on your wall for an hour"

Oh course I don't! I am defiant... I hate to be told what to do, beside there is to many people that only knows how to copy and paste so I am delegating the domino effect to then. Oh curse unless is something important like "FREE EGYPT" a hold country was depending on us and the domino effect for "FREEDOM"

Chains are made to restrain, I don't want to be held prisoner by chain letters, like those going around Facebook. IF... I take an hour to post every chain letter out there I will have nothing more to do, but copy and paste and beside there are only 24 hours on a day.

I am leaving you with that one.... What ever One that One is?

Right now I need my coffee and a bath. Like usual, I have lots to do on a Monday.

Again... like every Monday; dishes have been sitting inside the sink, all weekend.

RAMBLING MONDAY

Today the clock says 7am, I just lay there, half awake and half asleep, I’m finding it harder and harder to get out of bed each morning.
It’s beginning the feel a lot like…winter. Its no really cold but its dark, the lock of light its what gives me the blues.
Is time moving quicker each and every year? Just a couple of weeks ago I was having dinner by the lake, the grass was green and the weather hot.
To proved the I'm crazy, yesterday, I lost my keys, went out and left the door open all day. I came back and the key was just there on the table by the bed.

Sleep don't come easy these days Oh! how I miss those easy days of slumber when sleep came easy and dream where made of cotton candy. Fall is here I could see the leaves staring to turn. The nights are getting longer and the days shorter. The leaf begin to paint the landscape with a Nature's autumn palette. I'm preparing to go into hibernation as we wait for winter Solstice. Winter is a time of the soul, a time of spiritual questioning and aridity. We should sleep longer as the weather gets colder, so why I lay sleepless in bed. Tired in the morning and awake all night. It's been raining since yesterday. I have always loved the rains and splashing in the water. Let me put on my goulash rubber boots, my rain coat and go to subways for a turkey sandwich. have a wonderful day.

There are always a few people acting like the world has gone up in flames whenever Facebook changes something, but this time the chagrin was palpable. Boy people went ballistic.
It looks like the buzz was justified, because an overwhelming majority of respondents thought Facebook should drop the changes like a bad bowl of clam chowder and bring back the old News Feed -- the News Feed we grew to know and love, where we could exercise our right to choose whether to view top stories or recent stories! Are you with me?
Did you took a look at Facebook's new partners-in-crime, Spotify and Netflix. hummmm that's right
