1 dash Maraschino
1 bsp grenadine
2 oz Appleton VX

Stirr on ice cubes and strain in a chilled cocktail glass.

I know some gin drinkers which prefer Pink Gin as the perfect winter cocktail. To me, as a rum drinker aficionado, this cocktail is the equivalent cocktail for the season.

1 oz lemon juice
1 1/3 oz Gin
1/3 oz Peter Heering
1/3 oz Maraschino
2/3 oz red port vine
2 bsp cherry jar
1 dash Fee Brothers Chocolate Bitter

Shake with ice cubes and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

After i´d invented the Kakali Koma, which had 3 different ingredients with orange flavor, I found my new passion - I want to combine liquors and syrups basesd on the same fruit.

I want the total intense fruit aroma with as many facets, or less, the maximum of one flavor, with all variations of this fruit.

Did anybody tasted this rum? I bought it for a lot of money and I´m not sure, if there´s the original rum inside this bottle. Jeff Berry told me this rum was delicious, but the content here is awful - like a cheap cheap wodka or whatever. So please let me know. Indeed, I really wanna know how this rum had tasted.

1 oz fresh lime juice
1 bsp agave
2/3 oz Chambord
2/3 oz Tanqueray Sterling
1/2 oz Dalmore 12 YO

Shake with ice cubes and strain in a chilled cocktail glass.

Philipp Struss´s "Dry Skipper"

2/3 oz fresh lemon juice
2/3 oz Rose´s lime juice
1/3 oz mango syrup
1/3 oz grenadine
1 1/3 oz white Jamaican rum
1 1/3 oz orange juice
1 1/3 oz passion fruit juice
2 dashes Angostura or Orange Bitter
1 1/3 oz dark Jamaican rum

Shake all except dark rum with ice cubes and strain in a large snifter or tumbler, add crushed ice and float with dark Jamaican rum.

Feel free to use Angostura or Orange Bitter! It turns the cocktail in two different directions. In a mild or a spicier one. We tried both and we loved them. You decide!

Jigger Zack's "Kahuna Kawentzmann"

1 1/3 oz fresh lemon juice
1/4 oz Crème de Cassis
1 bsp Demerara sugar
1 bsp honey
1/3 oz Cointreau
2/3 oz Bourbon (Four Roses)
2/3 oz Smith & Cross rum
2/3 oz Havana 3 Anos

Disolve honey and sugar in lemon juice, add the other ingredients and shake with ice cubes. Pour in a double-old fashioned glass or Tiki mug. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a cocktail cherry.

Despite the use of sugar and honey it is not a sweet cocktail.
I took Four Roses, but if.you should use Wild Turkey this drink is like the driest Martini.

Everybody knows what Kahuna means, but I think I have to explain what's a Kawentzmann. It's the German word for a big man or a huge thing. In the nautical language it means monster wave.

2/3 oz cream
1 oz orgeat
1 oz white Jamaican rum
3/4 oz Mozart chocolate liquor
2/3 oz Cointreau
1 1/2 oz orange juice
2 dashes Orange Bitter
1 tsp chocolate chips

Blend all with 1 cup cracked ice for 10 seconds. Garnish with chocolate chips and an orange wheel.

2 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz apple juice
1/2 oz orgeat
1/2 oz simple syrup
1 oz Hansen rum 40%
1/2 oz Asbach Uralt Spezialbrand
1/2 oz Steinhäger

It was my endeavor to create a German version of the fantastic TV´s Samoan Fog Cutter. I replaced the orange juice by apple juice and took only German spirits. Hansen rum is an old traditional brand. It´s a blend of Jamaica rums.
Asbach Uralt is comparable with Cognac. Trader Vic invented the "Munich Sour" with use of this liquor.
Steinhager is called the German gin.

All I needed was a good name for this cocktail for locals. I think "Sink the Bismarck" was a great idea. Mahalo Jeff!

Usualy I dislike Colada´s and other drinks with cream, but sometimes after a good dinner a well balanced digestif can be a wonderful thing.

1 oz apple juice
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/3 oz simple syrup
1 2/3 oz Havana Selection
5 mint leaves
1/3 oz PX Sherry

Shake with ice cubes, double strain in a small tumbler. Add ice cubes and drop in Sherry. Garnish with a mint sprig.

This drink was definitely one of my favorites at the Bar Convent Berlin. Stefan Hinz is in Germany well known for his skills. This guy from Cologne was the German and the world champion in bartending 2010.

So, enjoy a truly masterful cocktail.

2 oz Tiki Lovers Rum dark rum
1 oz fresh lime juice
4 1/3 oz Tamarind Drink ( Wonderfarm )
3 dashes Atzec Chocloate Bitter Fee Brother
1 pinch cardamom powder
2 bsp Tiki Lovers Rum white rum on top

Fill Tiki mug with crushed ice, add dark rum, lime juice, Tamarind and Bitters. Pour all through an airring in a shaker and back to the mug. Pour white rum on top, adust with cardamom. Fill with crushed ice and garnish with cherry and a mint sprig.

This is another recipe from the Lovers Rum Tiki Challenge and I think it´s a very interesting one. Massive flavours with a hint of christmas. Tamarind is a nice mixer and as I know, there are not so much cocktail recipes to find with this aroma.
Soon I´ll post the recipe for the selfmade cherries Markus had send me.

2/3 oz pineapple Juice
1/3 oz grenadine
1 oz Ron Abuelo Anejo
1 tsp Stroh rum

Shake with ice cubes. Shake it hard for 15 seconds and strain in a cocktail glass.

1 oz Tiki Lovers White Rum
2/3 oz Don´s Mix #2
2/3 oz Clement Creole Shrub
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
2 1/4 oz fresh pomelo juice
2/3 oz passion fruit syrup
1 dash The Bitter Truth Creole Bitter
1 dash Angostura Bitter

Stirr all ingredients with ice cubes. Strain into a large Tiki Mug, add ice cubes.
