Biz kullanıcıları mutlu etmeyeceği kesin olsa da birilerinin çok mutlu olacağı kaçınılmaz gözüküyor.

Yes, it's time to put away the razor guys!

Before sharing the news for Movember Mobile, here it comes for your awareness...

On average, men die at a significantly younger age than women. The average life expectancy for American men is almost five years less than women (presently 76 compared to 81), however there is no biological reason for this. The reasons for the poor state of men’s health in America and around the world are numerous and complex.

Now, you can join Mo-society by downloading the app Movember Mobile; then you can join Mo Space, the Movember social network, which serves as a hub for raising funds and connecting wither other Movember participants.

You can download the annual reports to check the funds raised during Movember through the app.

You can also support Movember in alternative ways such as parties, shaving events or just running.

There is also another app raised for tracking your mustache growth process and create a movie (.gif). Check Mo Tracker

ps. Please consider that you should keep the mustache till next Movember ; )

The World's Smallest Movie

2013-05-02T09:25:00.001+03:00

IBM has created the World's smallest stop-motion movie, certified by the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS.

"A Boy and His Atom” depicts a character named Atom who befriends a single atom and goes on a playful journey that includes dancing, playing catch and bouncing on a trampoline. Set to a playful musical track, the movie represents a unique way to convey science outside the research community.

Think about Atoms magnified over 100 million times, 250 stop-motion frames depicting a boy playing with his atom, two-ton scanning-tunnelling microscope, which operates at minus 450 degrees Fahrenheit since atoms do not move so easily as human actors.

From those we understand that there was a big challenge for the scientists at IBM to shoot the film due to physical conditions.

Here is the super atomic movie, A Boy and His Atom.

Haters Gonna Hate!

2013-03-12T09:10:00.000+02:00

As we all know, Instagram is one of the most popular photo-sharing platform in these days.

It's a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your photos with friends and family.

On the other hand, Instagram folks usually feel to share things that they (pretend to) like and then make us (pretend to) like them too.
Let's imagine you're sitting at a beautiful cafe all alone, unless we count your smart phone, yummy chocolate cake and latte. You probably feel so lonely due to losing your job and you don't work on Mondays anymore, plus nobody is out.
Now, here is a possible result for Instagram:

It's been a long time that online people start to ask why we always have to 'like' things on social media.
I heard from many of people that social networking platforms such as Facebook should provide 'dislike' button or Instagram should have 'hate' button.

Unfortunately, there is still no development for those buttons, but we have a new platform where you can share the things you hate and hate things people share.

source

Now there’s an app that allows you to share the things you Hate. Hate on celebrities, politicians, bad service, too much traffic, classmates, or annoying Facebook “friends.”

Hater app launched on the iPhone during SXSW, and will be available on Android in the next couple months.

It is very similar to Instagram where you can take, filter and share photos with your 'alter ego' to express how you dislike.

Snoox: Do you recommend?

2013-03-07T10:25:00.001+02:00

We don't know when and how but, we all need different type of recommendations in daily life.

Let's remember the time when you try to taste the best local beer in a foreign country or hear the critics about the movie you watched and liked or find out the benefits of a smart phone you just bought..maybe the most delicious hamburger just near your hotel or the coolest vintage boutique in the town.

Those above are common needs and require recommendations from others, especially people you know.

"The Snoox mobile app lets users access location-based recommendations from friends on the go—instead of browsing recommendations from complete strangers.."

Now Snoox is available on mobile market and available for IOS here, and for Android also here.

Is There a Social Life After Death?

2013-02-27T09:34:00.000+02:00

We're all wondering if there is life after death? Still can't say anything, but now we know you can lead your social media life from the afterlife.

DeadSocial is a free tool that allows us o create scheduled messages. These are only distributed across our social networks after we die.

"A message from a loved one after a fatal accident could help in the grieving process" (Forbes)

Now the question is that who is going to post those on your behalf? You should assign a reliable and trust worthy executor (administrator) for your account.

Here are some basic features:

Sending messages to your Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.
Sending both a final (!) message or a series of scheduled messages
Posting video or audio messages -this one is a real drama-

Here you can watch a short introduction video.

Kickstarter: Do you have an idea?

2013-02-22T09:29:00.000+02:00

Today, it's announced that Kickstarter is available on iTunes Store, and you can download it here.
Now it's only for iPhone and iPod Touch.

With the Kickstarter app, you'll have thousands of projects in your hands and a front row seat to the creative process. Wherever you are.

By using Kickstarter, you can search among many different projects that you can get inspired from.
There are filter options such as category, popularity, and location -so you can see projects near you- .

The major difference from the web version is that creators can take pictures and videos with their iPhone camera and post them as project updates through the app.

Do you 'like' Facebook smiley?

2013-02-20T09:12:00.000+02:00

Good news! Facebook has decided reinvent emoticons.
I am sure, many of you think the same way after using smiley icon on your posts. For me, I always hated the gesture of that smiley emoticon looked, especially on Facebook mobile.
Not sure, if there is someone who smiles like this guy?

As we heard from BuzzFeed, Facebook is in a collaboration with a Pixar story illustrator and former storyboard artist at the Wallace and Gromit studio, Matt Jones.

Facebook wants an awful lot from its emoticons: They should be able to convey complex emotions, for example, like contemplation, admiration, affirmation, maternal love, determination, devotion, resignation, and gratitude.

Here some early drawings from Jones' sketches:

Congratulations! Your Ex is Gone : KillSwitch

2013-02-18T09:08:00.001+02:00

We don't always feel good after some breakups, whether the heart is broken or not.

The real issue is that many of us try to get rid of each trace from Facebook; and let's admit that breaks your heart -or piss you off- much more while you're deleting each photo, wall post, comment etc.

KillSwitch app will erase any photos, videos, wall posts, or status updates you posted and tagged with your ex's name from Facebook profile before you unfriend him/her.

Just in case, all deleted pictures are placed in a hidden album on your Facebook profile.

Make breakups suck less by seamlessly removing traces of your ex from your Facebook profile (you must be Facebook Friends with your ex in order for it to work).

KillSwitch launched in Google Play marketplace on last Thursday (on 14th Feb- St. Valentine's). It will be available on Apple app store soon.

The app costs $0.99 cents. Do not feel bad about paying, since a portion of the profit will be donated to the American Heart Association of New York.

*Hope you don't have to use this so much.

With 2560 x 1700 screen resolution -almost look like an Apple's retina display-, Chromebook Pixel may not be real. At least the design is disappointing in the video.

Just decide if you'd like to face with them or not; hence it's time to create a 2012 year book from your Facebook and Instagram content.
All you should do is to go to PastBook site and relive your 2012.

archify: your own personal archive

2012-12-04T10:09:00.000+02:00

We browse so many pages each day to find cool and interesting stuff.
Sometimes we share them instantly but sometimes we decide to check them later.
Anyway, the truth is, the more time we spend on surfing online, the more absent-minded we become.

archify your web history to never lose them.
archify keeps the pages you browse, and every action you do like commenting, retweeting, mentioning etc. on your Facebook or Twitter stream.
The beneficial part is that you can search records by time and application.
In that way it will be easier to reach without adding them as bookmarks.

Now you can say, Google is good enough for this. And they say, you are right, but the founders of archify emphasizes that you can find generic information for your search on Google. Instead archify provides personalized content for your search.
For instance, you can search for a city on Google, but you can search for your favorite restaurants or shops through archify.

Connect your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn to receive your social media streams.
Connect your Gmail account to use the archify integration
Easily search for any online content that you have seen, making the process of searching easier, faster, and more effective.
Receive insightful statistics about your web activity

As it sounds it's giant and can be seen at the National Museum of Computing in UK.

"Tommy Flowers spent eleven months designing and building Colossus at the Post Office Research Station, Dollis Hill, in North West London. After a functional test, Colossus Mk 1 was delivered to BP late December 1943, was assembled there by Harry Fensom and Don Horwood over Christmas 1943, and was working in early January 1944."
