Check out Quinto's Bookstore at Leicester Square, who are having a closing down clearance sale before they move to new premises just up the road. Here, all the books are either £1 or £2, with a good selection of fiction and non-fiction second hand books. We went and had a look - and indeed found that there are some serious bargains to be had.

The collections of Julia Smith, Trousers London, Christopher Raeburn and Henrietta Ludgate are proof of that.  In the UK we buy around two million tonnes of clothing every year. The result is high energy use from washing and drying, excessive water use, toxicity from pesticides, tonnes of unwanted clothing in landfills, and labour, animal and trade inequities.
