Spring will be here before you know it. I am looking online at plants Moms love. I was just wondering if my mom will add to her flower garden this year. Her garden has stared very small, but grows a little bigger each year. My dad said good luck with that because he fights allergies. I hope this year that she will let me help her plant the new plants that she buys.

I think my husband is a little upset because he realizes that he might be needing reading glasses. He hates that he is getting older and has reached that age were his eyes don’t focus like they should. I always tell him that getting older is better than the other option. However, he still wishes that he was a little younger.

I am so excited because my husband gave me a gift for our xbox. Yes, he gave me the Kinect that I had been hoping for over a year now. I have to admit that I am so sore from all the dancing and jumping. I realize now that it gives me great exercise. Now I need to get my husband off the couch and come play with me.

I have been enjoying my time off from work with the kids that I have neglected my blog. I hope everyone will forgive me. I promise to post more this year and make this the best blog possible. The kids are doing fine but the husband is still sick. He has been sick since before Christmas. He is fighting colds and allergies and can not seen to get rid of them. He of course refuses to go to the doctor.

Poor husband

My poor husband has caught a cold and can not seem to get rid of it. It makes me sad to see him suffer with all the mucus congestion. He can not breath good at night even with all the medicine that he has taken. I pray that he will feel better soon. I want him healthy over the Christmas holidays.

Waiting for Christmas

The eldest son is so excited that Christmas is coming. The little one has not quite got it figured out yet since this will be his second one. He senses that something special is in the air. The parents are even excited this year. We haven't spent a lot of money like years before, but we are happy with the gifts that we are getting the kids. We also plan to open gifts at midnight this year. We are trying something different.

My husband told me last week that we’d have to be moving to a new place. I wasn’t really excited at first because I actually like it here but you know, now that things are moving forward with the new house in Atlanta I’m getting excited about doing something different for a change. I can’t wait to get all moved in and get Direct TV Atlanta and paint the walls and all the housey kind of stuff because really, at heart, I’m a true nester and I just want to make a great home for my family. I think there’s something about being a mom that makes you want to do this – make a house as perfect as you can – and that’s exactly the kind of drive I’ve got in my heart for mine. We’re going to make Atlanta work and I can just feel that it’s going to be a really nice place to live at the end of the day. We needed something different and not just the same old same old.

I work part-time and I am now in the market for another part-time job. Inflation is killing us. Food prices and gas is the two commodities that hurt the most. I have a few leads and plan to follow up on them tomorrow. Today after work, I have my annual check up with my doctor. I wonder if my husband knows that he will have to get the eldest from school. Since he made the appointment, I hope he already knows that information. I have to Thank my hubby because he remembers all these things and organizes us.

Medical Liability Insurance

The last time I visited my doctor I over heard him talking to his nurse about Medical Liability Insurance. He said that it was already too high and that it will go up again. It made me think about my own insurance and I was complaining to my husband yesterday that it too was going up again. At least me and my doctor have that one thing in common, we both watch our budgets closely.

My friend is pregnant with her second child and she is looking for a new video baby monitor. Her husband accidentally trashed the last one. I asked her how? She just looked at me and said that don’t get her started. I said okay and left that one unsaid. So we have been sitting here and checking the web trying to find one like she had before.

It has rained for the past three days and we are thankful for are blessing. We have been in a very long drought and this has helped us very much. I know my husband will be excited to get the lakes back full again. Our favorite lake, we can not even launch a boat. I know my husband misses his fishing. I kind of miss going to the lake too, but for my very own reason. It's ok if it will dry out for a couple of days, but we will invite the next round of rain to come on in.

He was getting old and paunchy
And his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion,
Telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he once fought in
And the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies;
They were heroes, every one.

And 'tho sometimes to his neighbors
His tales became a joke,
All his buddies listened quietly
For they knew whereof he spoke.

But we'll hear his tales no longer,
For ol' Joe has passed away,
And the world's a little poorer
For a Soldier died today.

He won't be mourned by many,
Just his children and his wife.

When politicians leave this earth,

It is not the politicians

Who won for us the freedom
That our country now enjoys.

Should you find yourself in danger,

Would you really want some cop-out,
With his ever waffling stand?

Or would you want a Soldier
His home, his country, his kin,
Just a common Soldier,
Who would fight until the end.

He was just a common Soldier,
And his ranks are growing thin,
But his presence should remind us
We may need his likes again.

For when countries are in conflict,
We find the Soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles
That the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor
While he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage
At the ending of his days.

Perhaps just a simple headline
In the paper that might say:
"OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING,
A SOLDIER DIED TODAY."

medical air evacuation

My brother-in-law has an exciting job. He is a firemen for our local city. He drives the ambulance now because he is also a paramedic. He was telling us some stories the last time we visited him about saving people’s lives. He told us that one time he used to work on the medical air evacuation helicopter. They would fly to accidents in rural areas which could help save lives by getting help quicker. As he tells the stories, me eldest keeps telling me that he will become a fireman too.

Felling Not Well

I have not been feeling well today. My husband thinks I have a stomach virus or a mild case of the flu. I think that maybe it's something that I ate. I don't care what it is all I want to do is get it over and feel good. Please say a prayer for me and ask that I would be healed. I have plans to enjoy my family and friends this Thanksgiving Holiday.

Poor neglected blog

I have been so busy that I have neglected my blog lately. I promise to try and be a better poster. We are doing well. The eldest made the A Honor roll at school, so we are proud of that accomplishment. The youngest shows now interest in reading yet, I hope that he will start enjoying me reading to him soon. I'm still trying to guess where the eldest got his intelligence gift from.
