Gracie’s Dedication and 10 Month Photos

Gracie is 10 months! Now that she crawls everywhere and is into everything the pictures are difficult. Here are a few of the “Oops, let’s try that again” photos.

And, here’s the best one we could get. Yes, she is now in her jammies because we had to try two different times to get a picture of her looking at the camera while being able to see the 10 months sign.

Today at church, we dedicated Gracie. It was such a special moment shared with our family. Jordan and I went through a 6 week Spiritual Parenting class to prepare for this day. It was an amazing class! By the end of the class we had to write our Family Mission Statement. During the dedication service, they showed a video of our family with Jordan reading our Mission Statement in the background. Then, we were invited on stage, with the other families, to dedicate Gracie and pray.

Our church gave a bible and a certificate to the children being dedicated.

Thanks to our family for being such an amazing support system and for making it to her dedication.

Afterwards, our family came back to our place to celebrate and eat lunch. It was a wonderful day!
And, Gracie loved opening presents!

A 2 Month Review

I realized today, as we took Gracie’s 9 month pictures, that I never posted her 8 month pictures. So, here is what we’ve been up to the past two months. Notice the teeth in the 8 month picture. She has 6!

The pictures continue to get harder to take as she becomes more mobile. This girl crawls everywhere now and she is fast! There’s been a few times she has crawled behind the couch without Carson noticing. Each time, he thinks she is playing Hide n’ Seek. It’s so cute how he tries to find her. Some of Gracie’s favorite things to do are waving, saying “dada” to everything, laughing with Carson, shaking her head no, clapping, dancing and eating. She is also pulling herself up now.

Gracie – 7 Months

Our little girl is becoming so much fun! Each month becomes more entertaining. She’s still a happy and easy going baby. Carson cries way more than she does, ha! (He is currently going though the “terrible twos.”) We have been enjoying hearing her express herself. She has many stories to tell us throughout the day. She also talks to herself a lot in her crib when she wakes up. Gracie is so close to being a crawler! She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. Sometimes she gets a few scoots in, especially if she sees an iphone within reach.

All she wanted to do was play/eat the paper when we tried to get her 7 month shots. It was difficult but we were able to get a few.

Gracie – 6 Months

Gracie turned 6 months yesterday. She is a lot of fun right now! She’s sitting on her own and discovering new things to play with everyday. One of her favorite things is her jumper. The girl has strong legs! It’s been a lot of fun to see her and Carson play together. They crack each other up and both get excited when they see each other.

Gracie is learning how to wave.

These photo shoots are getting a little more difficult.

We introduced solids to her. She loved her rice cereal. Carson wanted to help feed her and would say, “She likes it!” after every bite.

We are excited for Gracie’s 1st Christmas. I’m sure we’ll have tons of pictures to share in the new year. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Gracie – 5 Months

Gracie turned 5 months last Saturday. Teething has begun and she is not a fan. I can feel the very top of her front bottom tooth cutting through. She is chewing on anything she can get her hands on. On a brighter note, she is sitting up! It’s only for a few minutes, but she loves it. It’s fun watching her take interest in different things.

Rainy Day Fun

After running around Target to get some of our energy out, this is how we spent our rainy Wednesday.

Carson helped me out by helping me put the clean dishes away. He loves to sort out the silverware.

Carson and I baked Halloween cupcakes to decorate after dinner while Gracie seemed quite entertained watching us.

After dinner, it was time to decorate!

After we decorated (and ate) our yummy cupcakes I got a glow in the dark bathtub ready for Carson. It was awesome! The pictures didn’t turn out great. In person, it was really cool. The idea came from Play At Home Mom. Find her on facebook! She has lots of cute ideas.

Gracie at 3 Months

Gracie is 3 months today! She weighs almost 15 lbs and is a little over 25 inches. I love listening to her “talk” to herself in her crib in the mornings. Carson tries to have conversations with her. It’s pretty hilarious watching the two speak gibberish to each other. I really need to video tape it. She is starting to sit up on her own. Her record is one whole second! Impressive, I know.

Carson helped me with the set up for Gracie’s 3 month pictures. And he couldn’t wait to be in the picture with her.

Gracie at 2 Months

Gracie turned 2 months yesterday. We have a doctor’s appointment next week so I’ll have an update on her weight and length then. I keep forgetting she is only 2 months, she seems older to me. She is continuing to sleep through the night. I know this is something that probably won’t last, but I’m enjoying it for now. There have been times where I have to wake her up around 6:30 to feed her. She loves her sleep! Her personality is starting to shine through and she has a smile that melts my heart.

Gracie is one month already. According to our home scale, she weighs about 13lbs. She is already wearing her 3 month outfits!

Things are going well. I’m able to run errands with both kids, Gracie still sleeps a lot and Carson is enjoying being a big brother.

Carson’s 2nd Birthday

Carson turned 2 the day after we brought Gracie home from the hospital. It was great timing to have a whole day and weekend to celebrate him as he adjusts to their being a new baby in our home. Our morning started off with donuts and presents.

Carson got a look and find Elmo book from his sister.

Mommy and Daddy got him a basket ball hoop. Or, a “shoot ball,” as he calls it.

Daddy took Carson to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch where he got a basket ball to shoot with. They almost didn’t go out to lunch because Carson wanted to stay at home to play with his shoot ball. Every morning it’s the first thing he wants to do. He must spend hours playing.

On Saturday we had a family party to celebrate Carson’s Birthday. It was so much fun hanging out and watching Carson and his cousin, Aidan, play together. Those two have a blast together! We ate pizza and cake and Carson got to open lots of presents. Thanks to our families for all being here!
