Shampoo for year and half

So my shampoo and conditioner is being discontinued at Walgreens in the smaller bottles. So the product that cost $8.00 for 13 ozs was being sold for $2.19 or $3.99 and the travel size for $1.38 was $0.50 each. Once these are gone I will have to pay $15.00 for the 33 oz size.

Breaking down the cost, I saved over half at $0.17 on sale and $0.45 regular price.

The girl at costmetics thought I was crazy because I got 39 bottles medium and 13 of travel. I can officially say that I have at least a years supply of shampoo and conditioner. That's blasting Romney out if the water compared to his 3 months supply. Hahaha!!!

Buying like this reminds me of my SIL and her search for my mom's discontinued perfume. 16 bottles or so one year and 6 or so this past Christmas. What were the numbers Carrie?

I got my SPOTLIGHT magazine from work this morning. I enjoyed reading Rob Falvo’s article, “Are You PURSUING Your Goals & Dreams?” Below are a few tips I took from his message…..

· Pursuit! Dreams begin to crystallize into reality when they are pursued.

Unstuck

I finally figured it out. It took me over a year but I kept trying. That's what is important, right? That i kept trying. So what am I unstuck about? Well, I don't get stumped too often when it comes to computer stuff, but i was when it came to this wireless printer. I couldn't figure it out until this week. Oh, do I feel so accomplished! I can now sit in the den and print to the office. Now office work is much easier now and has been a very successful. Glad the week is over, but excited that I am much more organized.

We took Champ to the football field but he acted complete whacked out. Champ just ran around and around the football field trying to get out. We didn't like being at the football field. The next day Billy asked Conner if he wanted to take Champ out to play. Conner responded with, not if we are going back to the football field because he acted weird there."

We painted Champs, dog house one Saturday.
It didn't take too long either.
I was worried it would take forever.
Conner LOVES Champ!
I just wish I had a picture of Conner in the dog house with Champ.
Conner will get into dog house with Champ.
He hasn't fallen asleep in there yet.

His horses name was Killer and was not very nice. Killer didn't want Herman to pass him on the trail. So, that is why I have pictures of the backs of heads.

I didn't get any pictures of me on the horse because I had the camera. Billy made fun of me and said I looked like I got ready for a photo shoot and not to go on an "Equestrian Outing".

I got REAL pearls for Christmas that included: earrings, necklace and bracelet. I LOVE THEM! So beautiful! My MIL (Mom-in-law) gave to me.

Dishwasher Sign

Part of the planning was to make the kids more independent. So, I made a sign that the kids will recognize that the either need to put their dishes in the dishwasher or it is time for them to unload the dishwasher.

How did I make it? I took a CD and used my scrapbooking paper to create a sign. Then, I made my own decoupage from glue and water. Took a magnet and superglued it to the CD.

Cork board for Kitchen

So, while we were up in the mountains for Christmas we got talking. We discussed chores and rules. In an effort to get more organized and it to look nice, I put together this cute cork board that has the following: Monthly calendar, weekly schedule, chores, rules and family bday's by month.

Now we have to continue to follow and as parents implement.

So, I have reviewed my blog over the past year. I was extremely dedicated until April and then I started dating BILLY. Then, we got married and then it was settle into married life which is something every night it seems. ESPECIALLY during Football Season!

BUT, I have posted more often than two of my brother's. Don't think I could ever keep up with SIL- The Rowdy Stroudy's. But today, even through MAJOR computer problems.... I finally feel like the computer area is setup.

It was dark but you get the idea. I love the board that holds all my pictures. It was given to me by my SIL Jacie last year for Christmas. It is suppose to be used to hold jewelry but since I travel so much and take my jewelry with me, I found a much better solution. Really like that I can change the picture out so often too.

Decorating for Halloween 2011

Carving the pumpkins was not the end, we also decorated. Had to make the candy corn trees again. Just this year we made three (3). My favorite is the fireplace with the cheesecloth web and black/purple spiders. Hard to see are the window decorations that the kids put in their room windows.

Looks kind spooky with the lights on at night.

We carved pumpkins in an effort to get ready for Halloween. It was a fun Saturday afternoon activity.

Sydney's Left and Conner's Right

IT was Gooey! The fun part for me was that I didn't have to get my hand dirty. Actually, after taking a few pictures, I left them alone to finish and they worked great together. I finally get a break with having to help out 100%. So, this is what it is like to have two children that can entertain and help each other!
