Where have I been? hmmm…. I feel like I am answering this question alot. So many things in the last year that have distracted me from blogging. Where do I start…

Here come the excuses- Work  has been mentally exhausting and with the way I have been feeling lately that’s about all I can fit into my days.  Being three months pregnant I pretty much sleep or lay awake avoiding moving these days. Cant wait till this phase is over. At any rate as I am feeling better I am realizing how much stuff I need to update you all on and I cant wait to start posting. I am finding my motivation…. slowly but surely.

I have lots to say about Los Angeles Makeup Show which you have probably heard all about by now but I do have some great products and pictures to share with you.  As for other events I have been MIA however I am planning on attending IMATS in Pasadena if all goes well.

Those who are still reading it means alot and hello to the new readers as well! New content coming at you soon!

The Makeup Show Los Angeles was my favorite event last year! Its an amazing opportunity to connect with other bloggers, Makeup Artists and Beauty lovers all in one location!

Last year I was blown away by the Professional Artists and quality brands on site as well as the education and speakers that were offered. This year I cant wait to experience it all again!

Make Up For Ever is always a brand that I get excited about. I love the broad range of color and the multiple ultra pigmented products. This spring is no different- The brand has pulled some of its top items together to showcase for spring.

Imagine bright oranges, Sun charged yellows, vibrant pinks and eye catching blues and that’s exactly the sorta groupings highlighted for Make Up For Ever for Spring.

I love that the brand has so many amazing products that you can get excited about each of them over and over again and that because they are not limited and they are always available to us.

Check out those products above. I’m sure you’ll recognize a few as current favorites! I love the bright pinks and yellows especially and couldn’t wait to work those shades together. Below I wore shadows in 58 and 71. A gorgeous fuchsia and amazing yellow. 

The star powder in #956 that is pictured above is just as pretty. I love the teal blue with browns and that was exactly what I wore today.

So remember when I was telling you about the EasiVolume Hair Extensions I bought. Well here is part two of that story. As gorgeous and full as the EasiVolume was,  it wasn’t something I could wear alone because my hair is so thick and short in comparison that  it made my hair look choppy. The EasiVolume is perfect for those who want volume and not length (hence the name.) Even with this said I don’t love this product any less. I still think the quality is gorgeous and it looks so good in my hair. I just had to purchase another set of extensions to add some more layers and try to balance out the length.

to go with the EasiVolume I purchased the EasiXtend HD in wavy to add to the current extensions I already have.  I chose the 16 inch thinking this would be a good length to mix in with my shoulder length hair with the 18inch EasiVolume I am already using.

NOTE- When you look at the site there is a 5 piece and an 8 piece in the exact same set.  The 8 piece is one layer of hair on each weft but for girls like me that want more volume the 5 piece has 3 layers of hair on each weft. Even with this package alone. My hair is so thick so this works perfect for me and gives me so much hair.

The EasiVolume that I purchased was 100% human remy hair. The EasiXtend HD extensions I picked up were synthetic. If you look at the two side by side the color is a tiny bit different even in shade 8 but in looks the appearance is almost identical.  They both tangle very easily which is the only downfall I have come across. So I havent worn them as often due to this.

CARE- Both kinds of extensions have to be washed- any gentle shampoo that is sulfate free works fine to  wash them. I also got the Denman brush with nylon bristles which has really helped to brush the hair pieces out without pulling too much hair out.

I love the look of these extensions so much and people who even see me daily cant believe how real it looks. The texture and color matches my hair perfectly.  Ill update you again after a few months and let you know how they wear but until then I hope you find this review helpful

My skin is sensitive and irritable. I have used product after product that have made my skin itchy and sometimes inflamed. After years of this frustration I fell upon some pH balance products and with products of this type sensitive skin hasnt been a problem sense!  That’s why when I saw that products from Yvonne Ryding were good for my skin and pH balanced I couldn’t wait to test out the line!

As I was telling you about in my Just Fabulous Post, I tend to shop at night which can be dangerous for me and my wallet. So I decided to check out the shoe clubs and see if there was anything I felt like trying. When I looked at Shoe Dazzle before they didn’t suggest enough shoes for me that I liked and I didn’t take enough time to navigate the site to see the other options available.

This time around was the same story. I didn’t like my suggested shoes so I started looking at my friends showrooms and was able to better navigate some more interesting selections that way. I ended up purchasing 3 pairs of shoes from Shoe Dazzle.

On my first purchase I saved 20% on the first pair then the additional styles were $39.95 each shipped. This shipping is both ways in the case that you want to return something. That for me was nice to know especially since I was worried about comfort.

The Adelaide shoes came in three colors. The multi- metallic (as shown), black and Nude. These woven pumps were love at first site. In person they are just as gorgeous. The heel is a bit high though. It took me a while to get over feeling that I was going to fall over when walking.

The Agata wedge came in Black, Cobalt Blue and Tan. I seriously was leaning toward the Cobalt Blue for these shoes. I love that color so much but I was afraid this being my first purchase and not being familiar with what I was receiving that It may look cheap with the studs. So I stuck to the basic black. Once I got them I sorta wished I would have ordered the blue because they didn’t look like I originally worried they may. The black though does give me a lot more options to wear Agata wedge shoes with. I wouldn’t say they are the most comfortable shoes but they don’t hurt my  feet. Only thing is the straps do feel a bit thin for the weight of the shoe but all in all I like them. Psst…Wanna see the blue? Click here for a pic!

The Rozee platform pump is the last pair I ordered and this was a spur of the moment purchase compared to the other two. I received the shipping confirmation for my order not even a day later for the above and when I clicked on my phone to view the details these beautiful shoes were staring at me. I LOVE printed bright patterned shoes. I wear a lot of plain colors so the printed shoes are a perfect way to add to my look.

The heel is just the right height on these shoes. I didn’t feel to high and walking was simply. The only think I was kinda disappointed about with this pair is a flap of material that sticks out on the front outer part of the shoe. In the site picture you cant see it but in person it definitely does. Oh well. The pattern is adorable and I am anxious to get some good wear out if these beauties.

Have you Shoe Dazzled yet?

 Being up late always seems to cause all sorts of trouble for me. I cant just find something to watch and fall back to sleep like a great part of the population, instead I shop. I really don’t like following the hype on new brands or collections no matter how interested I may be at the time. Hype in this instance surrounding the monthly shoe clubs such as Just Fabulous and Shoe Dazzle, etc.

So during one of these late nights up I bought a pair of shoes from
Just Fabulous. When you first sign up for Just Fabulous you get 50% off of your first purchase provided you use the discount immediately. So for $20 I picked out the “Morgandy” shoe pictured above.

One of my biggest hold up with these offers is the comfort of the shoes. I would hate to fall in love with a shoe and then receive it only to find out that it feels like plywood under my feet. But this doesn’t bother me as much when I am placing my order. There were a couple other shoes on the Just Fabulous site I liked but for the sake of the above argument I decided to wait and see how they felt before diving in…Honestly I am glad I did.

When I got the Morgandy shoe I thought they were cute and actually looked better in person that I had expected from the pictures on the site. But the comfort definitely wasn’t there.  I don’t expect much from heels in this department- but there wasn’t any padding at all.  Ill keep them for $20. Seems like much more hassle to try and return them. I probably will get some gel stick ins or something to make wear easier.

Tried anything from this company?

I received some great items from Cattiva Cosmetics a few weeks back. This brand I first saw on The Look Store but you can find them on their own site as well. The items that I tried were il Primo Bacio Lip Gloss in shade 2, Dolce Diva Lip Liner and Black Precision Eyeliner.

The packaging was lovely from the sleek black boxes to the sturdy plastic containers. The lipliner was love for me instantly. It reminded me of the MAC Neutral Pink lipliner. Both of these colors are both such an amazing tone that they can we worn with a range of different lipsticks and glosses. The gloss is great as well because its not really sticky on the lips and the color applies nicely. The shade two is an amazing nude that was the perfect tone for my pale skin.

I am totally late on the fun decorated brush holder. But I found some fun stones that I liked at my local craft store that I was excited to incorporate in my decor.

These marble accents that I found at my local Beverly’s Craft were adorable. The red and clear hearts came in 2 different sizes and
I opted for the smaller ones. They look so cute mixed in.

There are a ton of options for Marble accents and jars at Beverly’s Joann’s and Michaels. Check out your local craft store and see whats available near you.

I was walking through Staples and bumped into some ultra cute office accessories from Scotch! For $9.99 you have the choice of a red or black high heel shoe to use as a tape dispenser. Both are really cute but in my hand they felt really light weight which made me worry it wouldn’t last as long. The style of the black shoe I like the best… If it was in store in red it would have been mine for sure! You can see this option online!

There were also a couple of cute post it note dispensers that would fit into the beauty scheme.

The purse one was my favorite! But the heart is just as cute! Hope you enjoy these fun finds!~
