To service those deliveries Malthouse Engineering have received five DAF trucks from Greenhous Commercials in Wolverhampton to replace their existing DAF fleet.  The trucks are wrapped with new branding imagery to reflect the part of the business they are supplying.

The new fleet comprises two DAF FALF 210 12 tonne Euro 6 Rigids, two DAF FASCF 340 26 tonne Euro 6 Rigids and a DAF FACF 260 18 tonne Euro 6 Rigid.  The DAF’s have the most fuel efficient engines they have ever produced saving up to 7% on earlier engines.

Roy Taylor is the Managing Director for Malthouse Engineering and he welcomed the new DAF’s saying: “These new DAF trucks will be put to use transporting steel goods across the UK and Ireland.  They all have sleeper cabs and provide the comfort our drivers need when they are away from home.  They are all fitted with the latest technology including Lane Departure Warning and Advanced Emergency Braking. 

“We have built a good relationship with Greenhous Commercials over the years and will take advantage of their service and maintenance packages for the vehicles. Our sales contact, Rob Binnion has always offered us excellent customer service.  These vehicles have the latest Euro 6 engines with better fuel consumption and are quieter. They will reduce our carbon footprint by over 25% compared to our previous vehicles and allow us to continue to deliver into urban areas as government and local authorities are increasingly try to restrict emissions in towns and cities to meet clean air targets.

“We take our environmental responsibility very seriously and have worked hard to reduce our environmental impact with such initiatives as rain water harvesting for use in engineering processes, segregating all waste at our sites and we have planted trees in our stock yard.”

Malthouse Engineering started in 1947 on the site of an old Malthouse moving to its Hainge Road in Oldbury in 1949, now with operations also out of Worcester and Wednesbury.  It has fourteen brands in its portfolio of businesses. The range of uses to which its steel products are put by customers includes scientific instruments, large steel signage, forestry machinery, the oil, gas and nuclear industries and even the giant boring machines for the Channel Tunnel project.  Its services also include heat treatment and fabrication up to 5 tonnes.

Feedback for March 2018 from customers we supplied showed that we continued to provide our customers with a positive experience that meets their expectations. We achieved a score of 100% satisfaction with the speed of response to customers enquiries. 75% of customers rated there satisfaction with delivery speeds as 5 out of 5 and 25% as 4 of our 5. 87.5% rated their overall satisfaction as 5 out of 5 and 12.5% 4 out of 5. 100% of customers indicated that they felt we compared better to other profilers they had used recently.

This month has picked up from where 2017 ended with customer feedback showing that we are still providing high levels of customer satisfaction and service. 80% of customers we supplied this month said our speed of response met their expectations, 80% were happy with the speed of delivery and 80% also said they were satisfied overall with the service they received. Overall 100% of customers said we were better than other profilers they had used recently.

Each month a random sample of around 40 customers were asked to rate the service they received in total we sent out 465 surveys. The results were fantastic, we found that the vast majority of customers were very satisfied with the speed of our response to their enquiry, the speed of delivery of our profiles and overall were very satisfied with the service they have received from us.

We received a number of positive comments and feedback points including the following
