Low quality rant: my wireless carrier is a piece of sh*t. These mother forgetters ficked up my connection this whole month of May, all because they overlooked one tiny little exploit in their subscription plan, causing a whole bunch of smarty pants in this country to abuse their service to the max. And I mean these people gave Globe no quarter, pushing their data subscriptions to multiple GB's a month for the low low cost of 5 peso per activation. You know what that is? 10 US cents for an extra 800MB added to their data plan. I had to find out why Globe shut down the subscription plan, because I used it legitimately as it is, and not adding it to a data plan, and sure enough I found out why they shut down the service. These people were abusing it, like with no regard to the network, and they got the nerve to show off their exploited internet.....downloading hollywood movies. Like what the shiitake mushroom, why do these people always rip off hollywood movies in this country....

Never mind, that's why I'm late this month. Had severe stomach cramps on my birthday, causing me to do my birthday gaming the day after. During all this time, my internet was at its absolute shittyness because they still can't fix the exploit, wow I want to know how much money they lost. They can't even hire good software engineers because their corporate asses are too cheap. These mother forgetters caused me to be late in most of my anime this season because they can't fix a simple ass problem in their subscription plan. Sunnova beach ball they used to not allow multiple subscriptions on a single sim card, if June hits and they still didn't fix it, I will LAUGH MY ASS off at their twitter, on why they can't fix it. And, I heard that incoming president warned these telco's to get their ass together or else he'll bring in the foreigners, I say screw these local telco's, bring in the foreigners.

Anyways, due to my stomach cramps, I was only able to do the bare minimum for my birthday gaming. On to it, shall we?

In case you don't know, I play Company of Heroes because my birthday is VE Day, something I have mad respect for and appreciate to have been born on such a day. Though I did not seem to respect my armored car in the above pic, getting mauled by ze russians.

Feel my Birthday! Super late edition.

Super late to post this because this time around is very much different compared to last year. My leg last year was just swollen, in whatever phase swollen is, so I just sat around doing what I do on my birthday. This year, I concentrated on tending to my leg as it's very close to healing completely (it takes several hours a day to clean, bandage gauze, change said bandage gauze, rinse repeat etc), and for the first time in a long time I can stand on both legs without pain.

Year ending post 2014

Ah, what a year. From January 23rd to this day, I have been injured in my left leg that was the first I've ever experienced. In fact the whole year went in a way I was not expecting at all, especially not the way I had planned for some events (such as my giveaway).

So as a nod to this year, I went and lazed off the whole day, playing games, pigging out on some Pizza Hut delivery, browsing pics, watching korean drama's (ya'll give Highschool Love On a looksey). This post goes to the Vita though, something I acquired this month primarily for the waifu games XD (because soft-resetting for a decent Virizion in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire was such a chore lol).

Look at that. Need for Speed Most Wanted on the Vita was free during the Playstation Experience event, which of course I promptly downloaded it. I've read about how different it was from the PC version, but the above pic is a glitch I only encountered in the Vita version. Look at the mini map at the lower left corner. See that red line across the freeway? That's a roadblock. The glitch on the Vita version of this game happens when you enter cooldown, but get in range of a roadblock, and cooldown starts increasing your heat instead while flashing the minimap, maxing out the heat level at 6, which means you now have to escape from this atrocious heat level. This does not occur in the PC version.

mangatron's Holiday 2014 haul

Well I did say I was willing to do the giveaway because I already spent money on myself, so here I'm going to post about what I got in November-December. Yukiko Amagi is providing the modeling for the photoshoot :D

In case the picture isn't clear enough, yes, I got myself a PS Vita, though it hadn't arrived yet at the time of this picture. To lazy to do another group photo :P In the picture you can see what looks like a book underneath the Vita games, I actually got the "Let's Get Physical" edition of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, which came with an artbook/character profile detailing all the Senran Kagura SV girls with some producer commentary. And yes, I had to get Dead or Alive 5+, it's one of the main reasons why I got a Vita lol. Oh, and if you hadn't noticed it yet, yes, I got another 3DS, the greenish thing below the gunpla box, though that one was bought purely as a unit to test my repair skills as it was sold as "UNPLAYABLE", and of course, with my great skill, I made it playable.

It certainly was not how I wanted the giveaway to go, but it looks like it was a bust this time around. By the way, that's only 1 entry as the other entry was me, as I was testing if it needed a valid email.

Perhaps the prize was not big enough. Maybe if I made the prize a PS4 everyone would have jumped on it >__>

I guess if there's one thing I learned, it's that I should just focus on healing my leg first. It's really taking up a lot of my time these days, the amount of pain I go through and the amount of care needed to prevent it from re-injury, it's not something to be ignored.

Here's hoping my next giveaway has a much bigger turnout next time!

A year ago, 10 days from now, I received a new hard drive and my very first Figma. I was about to blog about both of my glorious purchases when I was devastated by the worst food poisoning of my life. Yes, for 8 years of food poisoning, this one was destructive as it eventually led to undernourishment and the eventual breakdown of my muscles in my left leg, an injury that I am still recovering from.

Feel my Birthday! Newgen edition! What?

I coined that term, yep. Newgen means all the changes that happened in just the last 4 years, and how much it changed those born within the last 14 years. Kids these days I tell ya...

So why the newgen edition anyways? Well, a lot of things have changed since my last birthday. My left leg is still kaput, my precious DS Lite's hinge finally ripped the ribbon cable for the top screen, rendering it half useful. I have Company of Heroes 2, which came out summer last year, after my birthday, so this will be my first birthday with that game. Except my computer absolutely lags with that game. There's a fault in my CPU that if it gets too hot, the GPU downclocks to 200mhz. I've done everything I could to cool my CPU but in the end, I need a new case >__>

I've known that for a while now, but it didn't bother me because I can remedy that by downclocking my CPU. That's why I've been spending my spare change on 3DS games, something I enjoy more :O So without further ado, this post brought to you late no thanks to a problem with my knee >_<

mangatron's bad luck: my Titanfall Beta experience

Ever wondered why I wasn't too happy about the month of February? This was the one time I wanted to forget my leg and enjoy myself, but my beta experience in Titanfall was anything but fun. (I blotted out my username because I wasn't thinking straight when I created my Origin account last year during those humble bundle sales, and it's not mangatron or einsteinecker, names I should have used >__> well I didn't have that much faith in Origin...) So my Titanfall experience was a little rough signing up for the beta, as I actually forgot my email used on Origin (I really didn't have much faith in Origin). A couple of days later, I get the wonderful email:

WHAT. I don't have an Xbox One, and I clearly remember selecting "PC" as my platform of choice. Nice start to my Titanfall experience, eh? Yeah I didn't blot the code, doubt it still works anyways...

As if this anime couldn't get any more hilarious, this time around they are changing the way you remember history XD

I think that's a nice touch btw, the title is in the OP. Hey, for a 12 minute anime, they sure are making the most of this series. Anyways, our first taste of a how history changed happens quite early too. Does anyone remember Seto No Hanayome? Yeah, Takurou's VA loves those mermaids XD but what I wanted to talk about, was the thing about mermaids singing. In Seto No Hanayome, if I'm remembering this correctly, their songs had power-up abilities, but here in Muromi-san, they.... sink ships XD

That has got to be one of the things I love so much about this series, is that they take much of what you knew, and twisted it. Seriously, what does singing have to do with sinking ships? Totally caught me off guard XD

My week leading up to today was absolutely mixed of good luck bad luck. I don't even know how many good bad things can happen to someone, I had to spend the week healing my ailing shoulder, I almost caught a cold, and perhaps the worst so far, my only functionally sane smartphone I had died. Lucky for me I had actually set my mind to something for once in my life, and I looked forward to this day, my day of peace and... a stupid power outage.

Kakumeiki Valvrave episode 01

Contrary to the way I found out some series this season, this one was probably the first preview I saw last year. I had been looking for info on the next Gundam series, when I saw a preview for this series. Well, since Gundam AGE was a little ehhh, I figured I'd give Valvrave a chance.

Let me start off by saying that after watching episode 01, I had this feeling of, this isn't exactly a vast world. I mean the setting, the universe the story is set in, it doesn't feel like you can get technical with it. I don't know if I'm making any sense, but....it just doesn't feel like a deep story. Let's say example, the characters, namely the group of baddies we see early in the episode. They don't feel unique. It's hard to easily describe them off the bat. In Code Geass, there was Orange-kun, the dark skinned lady (forgot her name >_<), Suzaku, there was the niisan who didn't last long, characters that have their unique traits. Valvrave was instantly compared to Gundam Seed due to a number of cliches in the first episode, but even Gundam Seed had a squad of baddies that were unique, the easygoing Dearka, the model soldier Yzak, the pianist Nicol, the father's son Athrun, characters you feel would be important later on.

In Valvrave, these "druggies" as some have called them, all pretty much act the same way, and their names are.... in fact, I think only 3 of them have been mentioned >__> I just don't see these guys as important like some series that have memorable bad guys, maybe the leader of that group, but everyone else is just... bland.
