Since We've Been Wrong Lyrics

2009-06-09T14:52:00.002-04:00

Do you remember how you wore that dress?
It slit my sight beneath the eyelids
Do you remember what you said to me?
What cause has given you the right to stray?

And then you slid into my solid shade
The clocks are ticking fast with every breath

Since we've been wrong
I've been part awake
Since we've been wrong
you will never, ever know me
What took you so long?
I'm not sure either way
But my heart, it asks
just one more time
Are you still a mess?

One day a rain will come and wash away
dead earth that held us was no island
I have become ingrown inside this skin
I'll find a way out through those eyelids

And all the days become a castaway
I seem to think I don't belong here

Since we've been wrong
I've been part awake
Since we've been wrong
you will never, ever know me
What took you so long?
I'm not sure either way
But my heart, it asks
just one more time
Are you still a mess?

I don't belong here, I shouldn't stay
The whole time it grows empty
The walls between us will never break
Just seal it shut, it grows empty

Since we've been wrong
I've been part awake
Since we've been wrong
You will never, ever know me
What took you so long?
I'm not sure either way
Since we've been wrong
You will never, ever know me
Since we've been wrong
You will never, ever know me
What took you so long?
I'm not sure either way
But my heart, it asks
just one more time
Are you still a mess?

THE MARS VOLTA OCTAHEDRON HAS LEAKED!

2009-06-04T10:26:00.003-04:00

Hello all my beloved followers,

I know most of you hate me because I didn't get you the leak 2 months in advance. And for that I sort of half appologize. Thankfully I've just received word (55 minutes ago) that Octahedron has officially found it's way into the torrent landscape, below are some mirrors...

Please don't forget to buy many copies of this album when it does come out. I'm certain all the TMV addicts don't need to be told. I'll post some song reviews/analysis as soon as I can get baked.

The Things Behind The Sun (Nick Drake)

2009-04-29T09:23:00.002-04:00

My mad pimp informant showed me two more amazing rare songs. Some of us haven't had the priveledge to listen to these gems. Thanks again!

Birthday Cover (Sugarcubes)

2009-04-28T11:24:00.003-04:00

Another awesome secret track from Bedlam. Enjoy!

Candy and a Currant Bun (Pink Floyd)

2009-04-28T11:21:00.003-04:00

Here is a Pink Floyd cover that was a secret track on the Bedlam disc.

Back up Against the Wall (Circle Jerks)

2009-04-28T11:18:00.003-04:00

More rare Volta - This one is a cover of the Circle Jerks! Absolutley awesome! I love finding these wicked songs!

Pulled to Bits (Siouxie and The Banshees)

2009-04-28T11:15:00.004-04:00

Here's some rare content. Thanks to Capital G for pointing out that this is actually a cover of 'Pulled to Bits' by Siouxie and The Banshees. It was included on a tour edition of The Bedlam In Goliath in NZ and Aus. Also available for download through the website when you got the flash drive version of the album. Thanks again!

It's easily one of the better songs on Bedlam. This song reminds me a lot of the song 'Frances the Mute'. Great effin' tune!

Enjoy!

Octahedron Available?

2009-04-27T10:38:00.002-04:00

I just caught wind that people actually have final, pressed copy's of the new Mars Volta album, Octahedron. I can't believe other people have it before me! The reviews I'm reading are praising the new album and something new and fantastic ... I can't wait!

If anyone has additional information or can send me in the right direction for a leak/torrent, I'd be overjoyed! This album is sure to impress fans of the psychadellic genre as the band claims to have created an 'acoustic' album... I assure you based on the 2 singles "Cotopaxi" and "Since We've Been Wrong" - they are a long way off acoustic, haha!

Anyways - I'll be posting more info as it's released - rock on freaks.

Cotopaxi Lyrics

2009-04-23T15:08:00.006-04:00

Hey fans,

I found a bunch of different version of the lyrics to the new UK TMV single 'Cotopaxi', this is the most accurate one I could find. Enjoy!

This isn't what my mother told
spirits fill the pillow
Comic strips to pay for them
fools from which to teach

And in that pulse the future sat
story had been spun
Wet your bed to sleep in it
curse your naked house

I've fed him from the last of my crumbs
we'll be lucky if we eat tonight
I've fed him from the last of my crumbs
that's why he'll never find a home

Lightyears came and lightyears passed
tugging on the brink
Each formed from bullets missing
put down in its sleep

Strangled in the background
fitted for a mask
Future won't believe you
here's the reverend fast

I've fed him from the last of my crumbs
we'll be lucky if we eat tonight
I've fed him from the last of my crumbs
that's why he'll never find a home

Don't beat around the pulpit
there is no lost and found
Where is the Devil waiting?
Trying to disguise

I've seen what you used to look like
down here you won't survive

I've got the weight of half of the world
don't stop dragging the lake, don't stop dragging the lake
I won't come home if you can't come home
even if you make away with my name

I've got the weight of half of the world
you'd better keep looking for me
I won't come home if you can't come home
don't stop dragging the lake, don't stop dragging the lake

I've fed him from the last of my crumbs
we'll be lucky if we eat tonight
I've fed him from the last of my crumbs
that's why he'll never find a home

Follow me in
and I'll show you the body

Lay it to rest
don't say you're sorry

Check back soon for the leak/torrent!

Download First Octahedron Single: Cotopaxi

2009-04-23T12:59:00.004-04:00

Good news EVERYONE!

The brand new Mars Volta single has been released!! It's called Cotopaxi, and here is a direct download:

This song is so awesome, I'm in love! The Cryptomnesia disc is a lot less organized than the new Volta. This song is so well orchestrated, I'm thoroughly impressed!

I don't know how they can call this song 'acoustic' ... there's nothing acoustic about it! It's so loud and awesome, I love this band.

Enjoy the song, and I'll keep everyone posted for the Octahedron leak.

Have a nice day!

More of my TMV Art!

2009-04-23T12:06:00.002-04:00

Heya all,

Latley I've been getting a lot of repeat visitors, and for that I thank all of you! Yesterday I posted a badass spiral that sorta spins when you looked at it.

Today I have and old wallpaper I made for a widescreen. It used to be the header on this page until I updated it. Enjoy!

Old Artwork

2009-04-22T11:34:00.004-04:00

Heya fans,

Today I was sifting through my junk folder and came accross a badass optical illusion that I created as a tribue to the Mars Volta. This peice is 100% original, I made it using both Illustrator and Photoshop. Click the image to download the full size!

This is only one of a handfull of original Mars Volta art peices that I did back in college. Enjoy!

Octahedron Album Art?

2009-04-20T14:00:00.006-04:00

Hey lovers,

There's been some buzz on the internets/twitter that claim to have the Octahedron album art. The artwork is again done by Jeff Jordan. The band seems to love his art, and I personally agree that his art style perfectly matches the bands musical style. If anyone has more information on this awesome album art, please let me know. Otherwise stay tuned for more information!

Thanks for reading, spread the love!!

OK - I really love Cryptomnesis

2009-04-17T11:24:00.003-04:00

Alright - I finally had the chance to get right fucked up and crank Cryptomnesia. Let me tell you, this is just one of those albums that will go down in history as rediculously experimental. The rythems are effed up, the vocals are actually really good Cedric, I'm sorry my first posts said otherwise, and the band is just damn cool.

If anyone has listened to the first Hella CD, you can imagine adding omar, cedric, juan and Hischke to the mix... it's retarded. The second song is wicked. I'm looking forward to the Octahedron album now too - they're claiming it's the Mars Volta's 'acoustic' record! Ha! Rumour has it that the next Volta CD to be released after Octahedron has already been recorded, and is being code named 'the metal' album. Oh how excited are we? A little..!

Thanks to my readers for getting me upto 400 uniques a day! Check back soon!

Cryptomnesia: Louder and Faster than Expected

2009-04-15T11:41:00.004-04:00

So I've been listening to this godsend 'Cryptomnesia' and I had a mini seizure. Just kidding I've never had one in my life - but I was pretty godamn close! We all remember the first time we heard the Mars Volta - it didn't make any sense. It sounds like 5 bands playing ontop of one another. This is the same sensation I get with this new disc.

Unfortunatly I have been so busy with my other endevours and with my day job that I haven't had a perfect opportunity to rock a massive bong and listen to this album in high quality.

I am an audiophile and it's super important that this album is heard with quality speaks. I tried listening to it in my car without drugs, and shit - i kinda didn't like it.

That aside I'm working on the Octahedron leak now. Thanks to all the visitors thus far, and please check my other publications. Cheers!

Octahedron Out June 23

2009-04-14T09:48:00.004-04:00

Hey fans.

This morning on Pitchfork I found an article on the new Volta record called Octahedron. The new record has only 8 tracks and runs only 49 minutes. I'm very interested to hear/see why they've neglected the last 30 minutes of a CD.

I'm expecting this record to be off the damn hook. Their new drummer Thomas Pridgen is absolutley outstanding in his live performances. The usual lineup is still there, I love you Juan!

The tracklist:

1. Since We've Been Wrong
2. Teflon
3. Halo of Nembutals
4. With Twilight as My Guide
5. Cotopaxi
6. Desperate Graves
7. Copernicus
8. Luciforms

I'll keep everyone posted on the news and any leaks I can get ahold of. Cheers!

Cryptomnesia: First Impressions

2009-04-13T17:31:00.003-04:00

The first song "Tuberculoids" is exactly what you'd expect from Omar. This song is completely off the wall and messed up! The song starts with some electric baby sounds, they last a little while, then the song gracefully drops into riff hell with Zach Hills authentic style rattling the speakers on his own. Omar lays down a sweeping but constant ransack of notes.

The chorus if you want to call it that, switches up the style to more single notes from omar and a heavy on/off beat that makes you want to headbang.

Cedrics style on this track is a little played out. I'm tired of hearing his slow whine overtop of this musical masacre! Take me back to when you'd yell into a fan or climb up some shit - go nuts. The fans know and love you so don't take it personally, but I want more more more! You've got the gift and you need to lead the way like Robert Plant.

Kudos to the rest of the band for providing the rythems. This is only the first song and I haven't listened to the rest too much.

There has been a massive surge to my site, and google even picks it up at the top of the list. I will continue to keep these sites up! Please visit my affiliate sites in the top right, I write and manage all of them. If anyone out there has content they'd like to provide, I'll gladly share my space! Thanks!!

Isaiah Ikey Owens: Free Moral Agents Rips

2009-04-12T17:35:00.004-04:00

According to the Comatorium, Isaiah Ikey Owens the zany keyboard player for the Mars Volta, has released 2 free LIVE recordings from his side project called Free Moral Agents. These tunes are off the damn hook so please enjoy them responsibly and tell your friends!

I'm hoping that the rest of this music will soon become available. I do plenty of research each day and I'll be posting here regularly.

If anyone else has news or information about the upcoming Octahedron album, please send it my way. Cheers!
