The real problem aren’t the Americans, it is 200+ years of history of corruption, learn your Mexican history Mike. You think the problems in Mexico would stop if Americans didn’t want drugs? It would actually make the economic situation of Mexico worse because instead of having an income, the option would be more theft.

If you want to solve Mexico’s problems, get a growing economy and put everyone to work for a fair wage…the cartels lose their influence as their role would be severely diminished.

My comment about only in Mexico was not intended to be construed that it is only Mexican officials that violate the law. We all know that it is not uncommon in the United States and Canada. What I was commenting on was the way the chief avoided custody by having local police and personal bodyguards blocking the Federal authorities from apprehending him. After all a federal judge issued an order to appear which the chief violated. He then had another federal judge issue a Recurso de Amero giving him the right to remain free. It was the event that I was commenting on and not that he may be corrupt.

At least the Mexicans are trying to clean up the problems created by the Americans. Mexicans arrest the the people involved it is too bad they can,t stop the real problem, American demand for drugs or stop American government agencies from helping the gun industry supply the cartels with guns.
