I would say they will be perfectly safe. In all inclusive resorts, however, there are many Canadians and Americans who think they need to get their money's worth of food and drink and are drunk and disorderly in the pool by 9 in the morning. If they try not to call attention to themselves in any way, just like they hopefully would at home, they will be fine. The people who get into trouble here are often flashing expensive items/money around, or are inebriated.

Hi Kelly. I just got back from Mazatlan and I would say they would be safe anywhere they decide to stay. It's a beautiful place filled with great people! I'm sure they will have a happy honeymoon.

Very cool! Wish we could have been there. My wife and I will be coming to Mazatlan (from Milwaukee, WI) this Saturday for a week of fun in the sun. We wanted to come for Carnaval but our jobs are too busy now - which is a good thing in this economy. Glad to hear it was again a success. Maybe next year?...

Thanks Judith, taking that quiz was a bit of an eye opener for me. Hmm, more work to do. I've come so far, just a bit further. No matter what age we are, we need to be open for change. Great article and I look forward to the next one again. (see you soon!)

You paid $70? Pay NOTHING..
It's not that I doubt your story, but I live on the same street as Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay and not only have I never been stopped, I've actually never seen anyone get stopped anywhere near there or on Sabalo Cerritos, except for cars with Sinaloa plates. And as far as cities that protect its visitors: Have you never noticed the line of police trucks that are frequently in front of Pueblo Bonito EB? I lived in Baja Sur last year and I can just about guarantee that you are better protected here in Mazatlan. Cabo is now LA South...and the crime rate is rising quickly...
