Man spends $4 million on minor miracles

(CBS News) LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - "We have to love one another and take care of each other," Sal Dimiceli says. "That's what it's about."

Dimiceli pours over the dozens of letters asking for help every week. CBS News correspondent Steve Hartman reports the letters are from poor people in need of minor miracles, mostly - like getting their furnace fixed. Or maybe it's a utility bill that needs to be paid to get the gas turned back on.

Dimiceli makes it happen, using donations and a lot of his own money. He then recounts the stories in a local newspaper column he writes called "The Time is Now to Help."

His latest tip brought him to a should-be-torn-down trailer. "I thought there can't be people living in here," Dimiceli says. "And all of a sudden I heard little children inside - and my heart just sunk."

There were six children inside, and as we learned, each more adorable than the next. They belong to Henny Acup and her boyfriend, Tim. He works as a roofer but doesn't make much. The only heat they get is from the electric stove. Yet Acup said she didn't write a letter. Somebody else must have.

Acup said she never realized that she was like those people in the articles. "Not really. I feel lucky. I feel like just having my family they're all loving and caring."

That's all the more reason for Dimicili to want to help. But his main motivation for doing so is much more personal. Dimicili remembers things being tough economically when he was a young boy. "I remember being evicted," Dimicili recalls. "Evictions. We were like gypsies."

Poverty chased his family to every new address. "I made a promise to God that I would never forget these roots."

Eventually Dimicili would own a real estate company and become a multi-millionaire. His bookkeeper and wife, Corrinne, says Dimicili has given away pretty much their entire life savings: $4 million and counting.

Corrinne worries sometimes, "But there's no convincing him."

"It feels so good," Dimiceli says about helping people. "It's contagious - you want to do it again and again."

Over the last 20 years Dimiceli has helped about 20,000 people. Now, he's helped Henny Acup and her boyfriend Tim get into a new, completely furnished apartment.

Who knows how much longer he can afford to keep doing this - he doesn't know.

If hugs were dollars, it wouldn't be an issue. Or If only there were more people like Dimiceli in the world - there wouldn't be the need.

The Prayer of Jabez : Breaking Through to the Blessed Life is an inspirational book published in 2000 by Bruce Wilkinson as the first book in the "BreakThrough" book series. It is based on the Old Testament passage 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that it not be to my sorrow! God granted him that which he requested.

In the book, Wilkinson encourages Christians to invoke this prayer for themselves on a daily basis:

Prayer of Jabez: What is it?
The Prayer of Jabez comes from the Bible. In 1 Chronicles 4:10, we read: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested." The prayer is composed of four parts. First, Jabez asks God to bless him. Second, he asks God to enlarge his territory or increase his responsibility. Third, he prays that God will be with him and stay close. Lastly, Jabez asks that God keep him from harm so that he will be free from pain.

Prayer of Jabez: Why is it important?
The Prayer of Jabez reveals that Jabez understands what many people do not -- there is only one God and He should be the center of our work God wants to bless every life. But, we must first make the choice to invite God into our life and ask for His blessings. Jabez wants to succeed and increase his sphere of influence for God. The specific sphere of influence is not important. What is important is that when we want to reach for goals and accomplishments that we have God on our side. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." It is critical to understand and practice this in a close relationship with God. Further, it is equally important to stay close to God and rely on His continued support and guidance throughout life. Jabez clearly knows and prays specifically to the One who can protect him from evil and pain -- God. At the end of the verse it is clear that God approved of this faithful prayer by granting it. I can personally attest that I now listen to her music everyday and I have received healing from this.

I first discovered her music while watching the "Sid Roth Show". People who have listened to her music have given great tesimony to feeling the presence of angels around them, being able to sleep well, feeling physical healing.

I had a severe headache which lasted several days and I felt the pain life and healing while I played her music through the night. My daughter who alos had trouble sleeping fell to sleep. Definitions:

The last line of the Ana BeKoach prayer, provides "grounding" to make the Holy Name manifest in our world of Malkhut. Connect the prayer by bringing it from the metaphysical realm to the physicality of whatever we're praying for or meditating upon. Prayer For The Chains That Bind You

What is holding back in life?
Are there too many negative people around?
Are they telling you, you are not doing something right?
Is the stress of their expectations getting to you?
Are you tired of listening to other peoples demands and not having
enough time to fulfill your own?

In life we have difficult assignments to people and their expectations
of us.

We try hard not to let someone down, but yet deep down inside we hurt
in the process because there is little to no appreciation for the effort.
Who shall we be accountable to in life, man or God?
The Bible teaches us about loving one another and treating people the
way we wish to be treated.
We may not like the way someone is treating us, and yet we are taught
to do good anyway. Mother Theresa had a prayer she posted on the wall
of her children's home in Calcutta that I feel perfectly describes
what should be in our mindset when we feel bound to an unhappy situation.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive
them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish,
ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful
friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be
honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy
overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good
anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give
your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was
never between you and them anyway.

They key here is the last statement,
you will find that in life you will be much happier when the main
basis of your communication is with God. Focus on developing a special
relationship with God and the rest will take care of itself.

God Will Make A Way, When There Is No Way

This is not only the title of a favorite worship song. It is also what was proven to me last night.
I was driving through an impossible thick cloud of fog on I-90 west going from Illinois to Rochester, Minnesota. I was making the 6 hour drive to Mayo Clinic, which is where I prefer to take her for quality health care.
Bright headlights could not cut through the thick fog. There was only myself and one other driver on the road at 9:45pm at night. We both crept slowly over the Mississippi River and into Minnesota. I said silent prayer to God," Lord I am fearful , I do not know how to drive in this dense fog, the road is winding, the lanes are narrow, I am afraid we may go over a cliff with no barriers here, please send your Angels to guide me.
As if the Lord bolted down in an instant, A large truck passed me and pulled up in front of me and waited for me to catch up with him. The writing on the back said "KLEIN KEMP" This driver stopped driving fast. He just kept driving slowly and he guided me all the way to Rochester. He was very kind and kept making sure I was staying behind him. Who ever he is, he certainly was a messenger from God. I am grateful for his assistance and most of all to God For answering my prayer. I cannot stress enough, I had been driving for 6 hours, there was nothing out there, it was certainly miraculous.

Prayer is best used to connect

We often think of prayer as a time to rattle off our to do list to God.
God I need...., I need... I must have... I want....
For the sake of comparison, this week, try praying from the standpoint
of already believing that God knows all of your needs and by just focusing on him
in prayer and believing that he hears you and that you are connected. Just have a sense
of believing that his abundance is unlimited and he will provide you what you need.
For example,
God, I believe that you know everything about me. Thank You for all that I have.
Thank you for everything that you have provided to me. I trust that you know the
right moment to help me. I trust in you.

Let us know how praying from the standpoint of already believing that God is taking care of you
works for you.

I highly recommend that everyone read it. It is a short read and it will change your life for the better. The book explains why the prayer of Jabez had worked miraculously in the lives of people. There are so many people that have been blessed saying it everyday.
I will publish the prayer below. However, unless you truly understand what exactly this prayer means. You are missing out on the treasure of soul understanding. I will continue to explain what this prayer means and all of the wonderful gifts you need to understand to value the miracle of knowing it. First Here is the prayer. Welcome Everyone.
The power of focusing on God is amazing. When you focus on your being connected to God you are focusing in on being connected to abundance. Abundance means that intrinsically, there is never a lack in your life. I am sure you can look around and see what is missing in your life. It is not what is missing that makes you unhappy, but the inability to connect the source of all that is good who provides. Think today about believing that you can be provided for rather than thinking about what is missing.
