This week features the trio
dances, but first the teams did their individual performances. Zendaya and Val kicked things off with their
Fox Trot. It was so elegant and just
flowed across the dance floor. Whenever
they were in hold the crowd just went wild.
It was a really cute dance to “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”! Len called it a pretty dance and said the
longer the competition goes on the stronger she gets! Bruno said it was graceful and light and
breezy. Carrie Ann said that she thought
the beginning was a little simple but thought as soon as they went into hold
she took her breath away.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 9,
Len – 10, and Bruno – 9, for a total of 28 out of 30.
Sean and Peta took on the
Tango. They were a bride and groom that
were having some problems and then did a Tango of fury! He looked a little clunky at the start and it
just looked disjointed throughout. Also
he had a weird look on his face that I think he intended to look intense, but
it just looked constipated. Bruno said
that he started well but then his feet ended up in the wrong place at the wrong
time. Carrie Ann said that this week
things weren’t sustained and he lost the music again. She’s hoping he does better later in the trio
dance. Len said that he had attack and
it was powerful, but he still lost the fluidity and quality of movement. He added that the dance was “a little bit
ugly”.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 7,
Len – 7, and Bruno – 7, for a total of 21 out of 30.
Jacoby and Karina danced the
Viennese Waltz and it had a very strong start.
It was full of flow! Sean should
take lessons from Jacoby. This is a guy
who feels the music and it’s evident in his dancing. The crowd went wild during their dance. I think I saw Karina lift her foot up a
little during one of the spins at the end, and I hope Carrie Ann doesn’t go
after him as lifting her. Carrie Ann was
really excited and loved when Jacoby opened up his shirt and said that the
dance was absolutely stunning. Len said
that he loved it! He said he was looking
and Jacoby was cooking! Bruno said that
it’s a very hard dance and requires control.
He said that Jacoby lost it for a second but he doesn’t mind that
because he loved it too.

Ingo and Kym transported you
to a different time with their Fox Trot to “You Make Me Feel So Young”. It was very elegant and it was just such a
charming dance to watch. I didn’t notice
anything glaringly wrong and thought this was one of his best dances to
date! Len said it had an ease of
movement and said that it was well done!
Bruno also thought he did a great job and loved his interpretation of
the dance. Carrie Ann said that it was
his best posture and hold and said that he reminded him of Gene Kelly in the
way that he was so casual in his dance.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 8,
Len – 8, and Bruno – 8, for a total of 24 out of 30.
Kellie and Derek hoped to
achieve perfection with their Viennese Waltz.
She had lovely extensions of her arms and legs. It was an enchanting dance that Kellie
dedicated to her grandmother who died when she was 15 years old. Their spins were also just magical. My only complaint is that this beauty didn’t
last longer! It was so great to
watch! Bruno said it was a thing of
beauty and he called her a queen. Carrie
Ann said that she has something incredible.
Len said it had lovely lyrical movement and the extensions were lovely.

Len – 9, and Bruno – 10, for a total of 28 out of 30. I was expecting more 10’s!
Aly and Mark danced the
Argentine Tango. She does an amazing job
holding her positions when Mark lifts her and you can just see all of the
strength in her body. She brought a lot
of passion to the dance and obviously rehearsed her buns off! It was a great dance! Carrie Ann said that she’s seen an amazing
transformation in her and how focused she is, but she picked on her wrists and
said there were little strange moments.
Len said it had mood and said it was smooth, seductive and terrific. Bruno said that she’s so good at being
bad. He called it a sensational dance.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 9,
Len – 10, and Bruno – 10, for a total of 29 out of 30! Wow!
Carrie Ann is really being tough on giving out 10’s this season!
Zendaya and Val were joined
by Gleb for their Salsa trio dance. I
think the trio dances are so awkward and one of the weirdest parts of “Dancing
with the Stars”. That said, it was a
rousing Salsa and they were amazing.
They flipped her around, twirled her and shook it all about! They did a great job. Len loved it and Bruno said that all the
attention was on her and thought she was dazzling. Carrie Ann called it “hot,
hot, hot!”

Len – 10, and Bruno – 10, for a perfect 30 out of 30 and a total for the night
of 58 out of 60! What a score!
Next up was Sean and Peta
who chose Sharna to join their trio dance. They performed the first ever Jazz
trio on the show. I loved the magicians
theme it was cute! He looked a little
loopy, I don’t know how else to describe it.
Jazz is not a good dance style for him ha! I think it’s hard to be the guy in a
trio. His timing also got a little lost
at one point but he got back on track and held it together until the end. Bruno said it was plenty of magic with some
tragic. He said he wished that he didn’t watch his feet ha ha! Carrie Ann said it’s true and that Bruno is
right and she saw him get out of sync a few times. Len said it was a bit like his first dance,
and not in a good way.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 7,
Len – 7, and Bruno – 7, for a 21 out of 30 and a total of 42 out of 60 for the
night.
Jacoby and Karina were
joined by Cheryl for their Paso Doble trio.
I loved the fire burning in the background of their dance, it was really
cool! They all looked amazing in their
yellow and black outfits. He jumped over
the two of them and I think that we are all well aware of his jumping abilities
and he should kind of give that trick a rest for now. His footwork was great and although I would
have liked it a little more “stompy” at times.
Great dance though! Carrie Ann
thought he threw them around a little too much and it lacked some finesse. Len said that he came out with fantastic
presence and that he loved the dance and the quick turns that he did! Bruno said it was powerful and untamed. He did note that he wanted his hips to be
under him more.

Len – 9, and Bruno – 8, for a total of 25 out of 30 and a 52 out of 60 for the
night.
Ingo and Kym danced the Jive
with Lindsay. I loved the energy of this
dance! It was super fun to watch and had
a relaxed pizzazz about it. He did a
much better job of keeping up with his two female partners than Sean did. It could have been a little crisper but
overall I thought it was great. Len said
it could have been a little sharper in the feet but he said it was full on and
fun. Bruno said that it was like a sugar
high but said to clean up the kicks and flicks.
Carrie Ann agreed with the guys but said that he brought back the heart
and fun that she thought left with Andy Dick.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann – 8,
Len – 8, and Bruno – 8, for a total of 24 out of 30 and an overall score of 48
out of 60.
Kellie and Derek took on the
Paso Doble with Tristan. I loved how the
glass shattered that Kellie was looking into and they all started to swirl
around in this dark world. Kellie was
worried about not being intense enough but she nailed it! I think she’s going to win this
competition! Bruno thought it was a
masterpiece and said that it was a journey into the darkness and that it was so
engrossing and entertaining. Carrie Ann
started screaming and hugged Kellie and said that she took her breath
away. Len said that it was a hodge podge
of moves just to tantalize the taste buds and flashing lights and there wasn’t
enough Paso Doble in there. Then the
judges all started arguing. Kellie
looked concerned.
Their Scores: Carrie Ann –
10, Len – 7, and Bruno – 10 for a 27 out of 30 and a score for the night of 55
out of 60. People went crazy booing Len
for that score! I’m appalled that he
would do that, but I guess he is a stickler for those kinds of things.
Aly and Mark danced with
Henri and did the Jive. It was kind of
awkward when she was just Jiving by herself, but she kept up with the guys
really well. I loved their kicks and
their split jumps towards the end. It
was a great job and her dad looked really happy with her performance from the
audience! Carrie Ann said that she’s
gaining consistency, but did note that she’s a little flat footed and lost the
music at times. Len liked it a lot and
did say Carrie Ann was right about her feet.
Bruno said that he loves how she can play characters now and said that
he’s really hoping she’s back next week so he can see more.
