The Winner

Recap :

The final two girls took a helicopter ride to an overnight stay at Hurakia Lodge on Rakino Island. Miss J. arrived and handed them their CoverGirl commercial scripts. The next day, the girls shot both their commercial and CoverGirl print ad. Krista blanked out during her commercial and was forced to use cue cards, but was praised for laughing off her mistakes instead of breaking down. Raina got her lines out without much fuss, but failed to deliver believability.

The next day, both girls impressed Nigel during their Seventeen magazine cover shoot. When they returned to the house, Tyra surprised them with visits from their families; they proceeded to take a “Top Model” family portrait. After this, the final two proceeded to the Auckland Museum for a rock and roll circus inspired Anna Sui fashion show. It was also revealed that the past 4 eliminated finalists – Alexandra, Angelea, Jessica and Alasia – would also be walking with them. After the show, Tyra had some one-on-one time with Krista and Raina, where both shared their motivations for winning.

At the final judging, Krista’s walk was commended for being both commercial and high fashion at the same time, albeit slightly cheesy, whilst Raina’s smile and freshness were appreciated. Their CoverGirl print ads also received mixed reviews – Raina’s girl next door photo got the thumbs up, but the judges said she lacked a certain spark, while Krista’s stunning photo drew flak for failing to smile with her eyes. Both of their CoverGirl commercials failed to fully impress.

While discussing the final two’s overall portfolios throughout the season, the judges deemed Krista as a more sophisticated and edgy model who would do well on the runway, while Raina was the beauty model who would make waves internationally as a photo model.

In the end, Krista was crowned the winner of the fourteenth cycle of America’s Next Top Model.

recap:

André gave the girls a surprise visit to advise them about the fashion industry, as well as shed some light on his early career beginnings, including working for Andy Warhol.

The girls packed up and flew for Queenstown, New Zealand for their next photo shoot, but were surprised when they hear Miss J’s voice over the PA instructing them to walk down the plane aisles as part of a runway challenge. Alexandra impressed the Jays by bringing heels on board the plane, but Krista ultimately won her fourth challenge. She was rewarded with $2000 worth of Boh Runga jewelry and the chance to walk at New Zealand Fashion Week.

This week’s shoot required the girls to portray “ugly-pretty”. All the girls found a certain degree of success, and their photos similarly received both praise and criticism from different judges. Krista’s outstanding photo earned her yet another first call-out. Alexandra was told she needs to be more consistent in her photos, and the judges were uncertain if Angelea was able to handle critique well, and Raina was castigated for only doing well in higher-end shoots.

In the end, Tyra handed Raina the last photo, eliminating both Alexandra and Angelea.

recap:

Tension rises in the house when Angelea feels that her closest ally, Krista, is becoming closer to Alexandra than her. Jessica accidentally burns a taco, setting the toaster on fire.

at the top model house.
They got Tyra Mail saying :

“Who says you can’t fit a square peg into a round hole, luv Tyra”

The girls arrive at the “Hobbiton” movie set for the Lord of the Rings trilogy and meet actress Sarah McLeod, who introduces them to their photo shoot challenge – they only have five frames to pose at the doorway of the Hobbit House. Angelea and Krista excel, but it is the latter who wins $4500 worth of ($1500 extra for having the best picture at the previous week’s panel) designer clothes.
Tyra is the photographer for this week’s photo shoot, which requires the girls to pose with shadows. Alexandra impresses by pushing through despite having a runny nose. Krista’s knowledge of her angles earns her a third consecutive first call-out, tying the record set by Joanie Dodds in Cycle 6.
Tyra doesn’t feel enough enthusiasm coming from Raina, and she lands in the bottom two for the first time. However, the judges feel that Jessica’s face is unable to push through in high fashion concepts, and she is eliminated.

5 girls are going to New Zealand.
After panel, They go straight to the loft to pack their stuff
and go to New Zealand!!!

Because Krista got the best photo of the week, AGAIN!!
she get a first class on the plane. And Krista has to pick one friend
to accompany her, then she choose Angelea.

When They arrive in New Zealand,
They go straight to “Mount Eden” in Auckland.
And they traditionally welcome there.
But, They are not going to their new home and rest.
They are going on go-sees to visit 6 designer in 4,5 hours.
While the other girls going to the closest designer first,
but Angelea is going to farthest designer first.

recap :

At the top model house, Angelea is really happy that she got the best photo at panel, while Raina and Jessica is really sad that Brenda is gone home, but Alexandra looks really down and sad lately.
And suddenly, the elevator door open.

The model have guests. they are Pat Cleveland and Whitney Port (Star of “THE CITY”) They want to take the girls to “Lucky Cheng’s” and wear a dress from Whitney Port collection (Whitney Eve).

when they arrived in Lucky Cheng’s, they meet with Ms. J.
It is a challenge, they compete for the best runway walk at Lucky Cheng’s, but this time they have to let their personality shine.
The winner of this challenge is Krista, she got a special design + 500 pieces of Whitney Port collection.
Aaaand because Angelea got the best photo at panel, she also got 500 peices from her as well.
When they got home,
They got Tyra Maill says :

” tomorrow could be a hairy situation, dont get tangled, -luv Tyra “

The Next Morning, Everyone left Alasia home alone.
Alasia is trapped at the loft, she can’t open the door, but she has to go immediately, then she decided to use the stairs instead.
Lucky for her, They still wait for her.
This photoshoot they have to pose with an outfit made completely out of hair. But, Mr. J divided the girls into two teams, Team Weaven Steven & Team Derek J.
Derek J choose Alasia, Jessica & Alexandra, and Weaven Steven choose Anslee, Krista, Raina & Angelea.
This week panel is so different.
The judges are act like they are tired and they wanted to catch Z’s to make them fall asleep. And then, Someone come to the panel, he says that the best way to catch some Z’s is to count sheep. Then, some sheep are enter the panel.
While Tyra and other judges count the sheep, there are some clouds appear above them. When Tyra tries to pull the Z’s from the cloud, suddenly the cloud become a New Zealand poster.
The models are going to New Zealand, but only six girls are going there.

after panel, the models are back to their loft.
at top model house. there’s a new drama going on, AGAIN!!
Angelea start raina and brenda’s nerves for asking them how are their feeling in the bottom two with “her bitch pleased look”.
She is so confident because she got the runner up for best photo last week.
and then,, Tyra maaaiiiilll!!! :

“When you walk in, you might have a fit, luv Tyra”

Next Morning, Alasia make all the girls and herself late to go to the next destination. this morning they are going to seventeen magazine and they meet with Ann Shoket (editor-in-chief of seventeen), to have a fashion teach how to “dress for your proportion” .
Aaaaaanndd at the limo,, Jessica start Alasia’s nerves for judging her, and they start yelling at each other.
Followed with Brenda saying that Angelea is uneducated because the way she talks to someone with swear words.
at top model house, There’s Tyra Mail, saying :

“DING DONG”

and then the door/elevator bell ring. I think she is Tinsley Mortimer Assistant. She give a invitation to the girls, :

” Hey Girls,
I’m launching my latest line for Samantha Thavasa by Tinsley Mortimer.
And I’d love for you to come celebrate with me, – Tinsley”

When they are arrive, They meet with a lot of people there. And this is a challenge. They get an opportunity to have one-on-one time with Tinsley.
The Winner will have to pick one friend to have a photoshoot for the may issue of seventeen magazine. Because Jessica had the best photo last week she’ll be in the part of challenge win.
The winner is Jessica, Mr. J said, Instead pick one friend, she got to pick two friends. And she pick Brenda and Raina.
At top model house,
Raina enter “confessional Booth”, and talk about Alasia picking up Jessica and all that stuff. But outside the “confessional Booth”, There’s Alasia. And she starts laughing for hearing Raina talk about her..
And Tyra Mail!!! :

“It’s time to take your campaign underground, luv Tyra”

The next morning, They arrive at the subway. But, they didn’t see Mr. J, and the train comes… They see someone come out from the Train.
They are Mr. J, Mike Ruiz, and NICOLE FOX (the winner of ANTM cycle 13). The girls are going to have a cover girl shoot today.
The theme is “NEW YORK WOMAN”. The girls got their own New York Women.

Recap:

When they got home from judging. They get mail.
Anslee got a mail from her daughter, She cries after reading it.

” Dear Mommy, hey mommy I miss you and I ask about you everyday, I love you.”

and then, they got Tyra mail saying:

“you don’t need to be a scientist to be good at chemistry, luv Tyra.”

The next morning, they are going to Roseville Island and They meet with Miss. J. It is a test for The girls. Miss. J are taking the girls on the Tramp and on that Tramp, The models have to break the ice to make a chemistry with a male model. The male model is Nigel Barker, The girls are shock find out that he is the one that they have to make a chemistry with.
This is just a practice. They are going to get the real challenge. The real challenge is, they are going to have a photoshoot called “Intimacy and Seduction” with Ross Mathews (Comedian). But, they have to make the photo looks believable and do what they learn on that morning. The Winner will receive $6500 worth a diamond from Jude Frances Jewelry. The Winner is Jessica, but because Alasia got the best photo last week, she also got $5000 worth a diamond in frosted ring.
At home they got Tyra Mail saying :

” tomorrow you’re going to find out who’s fake, and who keeps it real, luv Tyra”

They are going to canal street, Chinatown and they see Mr. and Miss. J looking for some fake product from a vendor. Mr. J explain the girls that the biggest fashion crime we ever commit is buying a fake product.
This is a photoshoot, where the girls are wearing all fake products and it takes place at canal street.

After panel, they are going home.

they arrived in “Upright Citizen Brigade theater”, and they meet with Jb Smoove he is an actor/comedian. There, they are joining him to act without prop. but with motion.

at home..
they get another Tyra Mail.

“tomorrow you are really going to blow up, -luv Tyra.”

after that, the models have a guests, they are Sally Hershberger and her assistant. They are going to cut Brenda’s hair, to make her more edgy. They shave her hair like Simone’s cut.
That night, the models are going to Times Square, and they meet with Dania Ramirez she is the new cover girl.

they are going to have shoot for cover girl commercial, and will broadcast live in Time Square. This is a challenge, the winner will get her picture featured in cover girl ad. for seventeen magz.
The winner is Tatianna.
at home..
There’s a new drama going on there.
Anslee and alasia is fighting over some foods.
but, it turns really bad when Alasia said to Anslee that she is not a good mother.
They get into Screaming Match, they are yelling out to each other face, until Krista make them stop.
and then,
The models get Tyra Mail!!

“Tomorrow, beware of the no neck monster, luv Tyra.”

When they arrived in the set.
they see a guy lying on a bathtub, with red eyes.
and then, Mr. J appeared, with a sunglasses and cool makeup that looks like a vampire. He said that this week photoshoot, the models are going to be a vampire. They will be posing with a male model. his name is CJ. AND!!! they have to wear a light out lenses and pose in a bloody bathtub.

The next day, the models were picked up by THE FAB BUS, its a big bus, it has 2 different color seat. The models are surprised by Toccara Jones (antm cycle 3 contestant).

She give the models some quizzes about fashion, she divided the models into two teams, blue team are:
anslee, tatianna, ren, brenda, and alasia
the red team are :
krista, simone, angelea, alexandra, jessica
and the winner team will be going on a gosees to the headquarter of bluefly.com each member will receive $500 gift card and the winner of the gosees will get $2500 gift card and will be featured in bluefly.com spring collection campaign.

The winner of this challenge is the blue team, because Raina got the first call-out at panel, she’ll be join with the winning team to gosees.

and at the apartment, there’s a new drama going on, it start with Angelea and Krista are laughing about brenda’s new haircut. Angelea said that she looks like “Miranda from Sex And The City” and Krista said that she looks like “chucky”.
From there Ren told Brenda that Angelea and Krista are making fun of her, this situation getting worst after that.

The girls meet Ms. J for a runway teach about pacing and removing coats while walking. They are then challenged to walk down a busy Manhattan intersection while practicing what they have just learnt .

at their apartment, they received Tyra Mail!!!

"Make your mark before you disappear, -Luv Tyra"

The next day, the girls have to walk in a Rachel Roy fashion show at Lower Manhattan’s Surrogate Courthouse. The catch is that they have to time their walks perfectly if not they will get hit by two swinging pendulums on the runway. Some girls struggle with their timing, most notably Alexandra, who trips down the stairs, gets knocked off the runway by a pendulum, injures her knee and inadvertently tears her dress. Brenda wins the challenge and gets to keep her dress. Jessica, who was called first at the previous judging, also gets to keep her dress.

The week’s photo shoot requires the girls to shine through wind and rain to advertise a fast-disappearing perfume. Nigel deems Ren’s photo as an advert for swine flu, while Naduah’s awkward posing gets the thumbs down. In the end, it’s Naduah who is eliminated.

ANTM Cycle 14 : (Episode 1) Be My Friend, Tyra!

recap :

The 32 Semi-finalists are arrived at Unversity Sheraton .
and then, they are enter a dark room with only a LCD TV.
On the TV, they saw a page pop-up, it's kind of Facebook thing, but with a different name, its called "My Fierce Page".
And then, Tyra appear on TV through video chat.

she said,

" I have 32 model, and they all wanna be on my network. now how am I gonna narrow them down".

and then Tyra call Miss. and Mr. J. Tyra wanted some help from them to narrow the girls down to be on her "My fierce page" friends.

After the video chat end, the girls have no idea that Tyra are going to see them that time. The girls are so hysterical.

after some chit-chat with Tyra, Miss. and Mr. J.
The girls have to buid a "Profile Page", to be on Tyra's "My Fierce Page"

First step, they need a "profile picture" (with Mr. J)
Second, they need to show Miss. J their best "social Net-Walk" (with Miss. J)
The last is, They had to meet Tyra in the "chat room". (With Tyra)

After they complete their profile page. They meet Miss. and Mr. J .
Behind them, there are 32 touch panels represents their profile.
And there is a status button in each touch panels, if they click it and if the big "PENDING" stamp appear, they have a chance to be a part of top model , but if the big "DECLINED" appear, they have to go home.

So, the girls who have pending status, Mr. J took them to set to have a photo shoot, the theme is "What Supermodel Are You?". Do you realize, the theme remind me of one of those quizzes in Facebook..lolz Ok, the girls need to portray a famous supermodel.

After that, it's time to chose who will be the finalist and possibly become America's Next Top Model. But, Tyra only choose 12, yess 12!!..

recap :

This week, the remaining four girls had their pictures taken by Tyra in an impromptu black and white photo shoot. Then, they traveled to the House of Carven, the oldest couture house in Paris. They learned how to embody couture gowns with an alluring attitude.

Back in the house, the girls received Tyra mail saying that they would have some free time the following day. When Adrianne said she wanted to visit Jim Morrison’s grave, it ignited a conflict among them, specifically with Robin who wanted to go shopping. Eventually the girls would split in groups of two (Shannon with Robin and Elyse with Adrianne).

For the week’s challenge, the girls went to Fonquet’s Restaurant and met four gentlemen, who judged them in their ability to carry themselves in a couture situation. Adrianne’s shining personality charmed the gentlemen and she was chosen as the winner. She picked Elyse to join in her reward which was a one night stay at the Presidential Suite in Le Méridien Hotel.

The next day, the girls arrived at Buddha Bar for a nude photo shoot for Merit Diamond Jewelry. However, this did not go well with Robin and Shannon as it was against their belief, and decided not to participate, despite being offered to pose in flesh-toned lingerie.

The girls returned to New York and shared the Milan Room. At panel, Elyse was called first for her versatility and followed by Adrianne who took a stellar photograph. Robin was accused for shaking her breast at Jay Manuel making her decision not to participate in the nude photo shoot seem fake while Shannon was criticized for her inability to follow advice, although she as well did not take part in the nude photo shoot. In the end, Shannon’s outgoing personality saved her and Robin was sent home

recap :

The five remaining contestants - Kesse, Robin, Elyse, Shannon, and Adrianne - were then told that they would be flying to the fashion capital of the world, Paris for the remainder of the competition. In their hotel, Robin was picked by draw to sleep on the floor, much to her dismay. They had a lingerie shoot for Wonder Bra with male model (Brad Pinkert from Buffalo, NY) whom Shannon had a crush on, and each girl was given the opportunity to go on several "go-sees" to impress Parisian designers.

Adrianne was fazed after an unwanted encounter with a man who tried to reach up her skirt while asking him for a directions and had difficulty collecting herself. Kesse spent a little too much time visiting Paris, making her miss one go-see and Robin paid someone to accompany her, which she was admonished by the judges for.

At panel, Elyse was praised for her go-sees while Kesse and Adrianne found themselves in the bottom two for not attending all of their "go-sees", and Kesse was cut for not demonstrating enough desire to continue in the competition, despite her high likeability, which brought most of the judges and contestants to tears.

recap :

The girls were taught how to answer interview questions in this episode, and they had one-on-ones with a coach. While Elyse was being interviewed, the other girls gossiped about her weight and talked about incidents which they believed proved that she had an eating disorder.

At the challenge, the contestants tried to impress a tough interviewer, and Elyse's candid and outspoken remarks won her the opportunity to invite one of her loved ones to New York for a brief visit. She selected Adrianne to share her prize, who broke down into tears, stating that her mother had never been to New York and that her family never had enough money to travel.

At the photo shoot, to which Elyse's boyfriend Martin Crandall and Adrianne's mother showed up, each model was pictured in Reebok shoes with NFL Rookie of the Year Clinton Portis. At panel, Elyse was criticized for being too thin and being a know-it-all, and Giselle was sent home at panel because she was not able to overcome her self-confidence issues, despite her modeling talent and phenomenal photo for this week.

The seven remaining contestants were challenged to polish their acting skills. The reward challenge, a line-reading challenge, was won by Robin, who took Kesse and Shannon to get a spa treatment.

The other girls were left to clean the apartment while the spa experts came to them and gave them their spa treatments in the apartment. Ebony was angry with Giselle after she exhibited laziness by not helping the others clean, and asked the masseur for an impromptu massage instead. Ebony's girlfriend, Ka visited her and although most of the girls were polite and introduced themselves, Shannon and Robin chose to stay in their room and read the Bible, which Ebony took offense to.

The commercial was for Fresh Look contact lenses. At panel, while Kesse excelled, several girls were given harsh criticism for their performances. Adrianne was told that her accent was too strong, and that the judges barely heard her and Shannon was admonished for her awkward smile and lack of sexiness. However, she was safe from the bottom two, where Giselle and Ebony found themselves.

The panel said that although she had amazing model potential, Giselle needed to become more self-confident. However in a shocking elimination, Ebony, the early frontrunner to many of the girls, was eliminated due to her awkward performance in the commercial and that the judges felt she had a chip on her shoulder.

All eight remaining contestants were given makeovers. Giselle irritated her roommates because she overacted during it, while both Robin and Ebony were dissatisfied with the way their hair was handled. After a lesson on how to achieve a clean look, the reward challenge involved doing the best job picking out and putting on makeup, which Elyse won, and got to meet some famous fashion people, including Max Tucci.

She picked Adrianne and Nicole to thank them for help and wound up picking Robin by draw. Nicole decided not to go because she was "sick", but it was really because she wanted to talk to her boyfriend.
Later it was announced that each contestant would be posing with a guest model in the week's shoot — a snake. Robin, especially, was terrified by the snake, but most of the girls managed to take strong pictures.

The day after the shoot, Adrianne was rushed to the hospital with severe food poisoning, and she later forced her way out of the hospital and back to the competition so as not to be automatically eliminated, impressing the judges. At panel, Ebony was criticized for the texture of her skin, and Nicole was ousted as she was deemed not committed enough to the competition.

Tensions erupted in the loft between the Christians - Robin and Shannon - and several other contestants, especially concerning Elyse's atheism and Ebony's homosexuality. After a runway lesson with J. Alexander, Giselle won the reward for doing the best on the runway.

She got to meet Wyclef Jean, and she picked Adrianne, Nicole and Katie to accompany her much to Ebony's dismay. When Ebony decided not tell them about the Tyra Mail which arrived while they were out, the Christians went down to the hotel's lobby and told the other girls about the Tyra Mail. The next day Robin, to ease the tension among the girls, decided to make a group prayer, irritating Elyse, who went to the confessional and vent about her anger towards other contestants.

The second photo shoot was another bikini shoot, but this time for Stuff magazine. At panel, the girls were challenged to walk while removing their coats. Katie's photo was again criticized for being pornographic, while Kesse became very emotional while critiqued. This landed them into the Bottom Two. Ultimately, it was Katie's overt sexual appeal sent her home.

Twenty semi-finalists arrived to casting and were told that only ten would move on to the finals. After the auditions however, Tyra revealed that she and the producers only could agree on eight. The eight contestants selected arrived in New York City and were escorted to the loft apartment in the Flatotel.

In one room, they discovered pullout mattresses underneath their beds. Two additional contestants, Giselle and Tessa, were soon added to the group after being scouted at a separate audition, filling in for the missing two finalists.

After Brazilian bikini waxes have been administered to the contestants, and initial weights were recorded, the contestants headed to their first photo shoot; modeling JLO by Jennifer Lopez bikinis atop a Manhattan skyscraper in frigid weather. At the first judging session, the judges felt that Elyse was too thin, and that Tessa had been taught how to pose incorrectly. They also remarked that Shannon looked much better in her pictures than in front of the panel, and perhaps she has tanned too much. Finally, the judges decide to eliminate Tessa, because even though she had a strong high fashion look, they thought that she lacked the personality to be a model.
