How To Cut The Cheese

I am sorry…I could not resist entitling this post that Anyway, I don’t know about you but when I make very soft or sticky sort of cakes whenever I go to cut it it always sticks to the nice and you don’t get that nice cut of cake. Now if it is just for my family I don’t care been when you are making this for a party or for something else you want to make sure it looks as good is it is going to taste! Get some dental floss and hold both ends in either hands and pull it. Then just push it through the cake and you get a nice cut of cake. This is also great on cheeses if you don’t have a cheese cutter. Even if you do sometimes they just do not cut cheese neatly…the dental floss is sure to!

Chaperones For Field Trips

I just chaperoned my daugthers field trip today and it was a great day. But it is a tiring day because I am constantly counting the kids that I have. I am so over protective and when I am responsible for other peoples children I want to make sure that they are well looked after. There are som chaperones that I saw just let their kids run ahead and I could not do that. These kids are kids…they shouldn’t be left a lone in an area FULL of kids from other schools as well in a place they are unfamiliar with!

Homeschooling for Children

I have looked into the homeschooling curriculum for my children especially with all the talk of the swine flu vaccines being mandatory. I was ready to take my child out and homeschool her for this year. Luckily they don’t have enough so this will not be mandatory and quite frankly the Swine Flu is not as bad as they had thought. The regular seasonal flu is still worse for the majority of people. My cousin went through a homeschooling program with the curriculum online . She loved it. She did it the last 2 years of high school because for personal reasons. I have taken courses online before a the collegiate level and I personally think that they are great. You learn just as much if not more when you do a program and a course online. The Global Student Network is a great site to check out if you are thinking about homeschooling your children. The site is very well set up and you will have no problems find the information that you need. The thing about online curriculums is that you have access to it 24/7 every single day of the year. And this site has unlimited courses for grades 2 through 12. Definately something to look into!!

Shopping for Kids Toys

I really can not understand why so many people do not do more of their shopping right online. It just makes so much sense to go right online to find what you are looking for and lets face it…the internet pretty much has it all. You can find everything from the simplest of kids toys to automobiles wrapped up with a big red bow. And this way you are not only saving time going from place to place but you are limiting your chances of getting sick. And I am not just talking about the Swine Flu…there are a lot of things going around these days and if staying home helps me stay healthy then that is what I’m going to do!
