Press Frenchly

2011-02-07T22:50:00.000-08:00

Not a huge fan of the French language, customs, or people; however, one thing I am a fan of: The French Press.

The French Press is a convenient, coffee brewing and serving device that was invented in France in the early 19th Century.

It consists of two primary parts: a glass cylinder and a metal filter, and it is used for its convenience and is often thought to create a richer, fuller-bodied coffee.

I recently acquired a Bodum French Press, and I have really enjoyed the hobby of trying new techniques and coffees daily. It is an ongoing experiment.

If this sounds like something that would be a fun pastime for you, here is a link to get your hands on one of your own.

This is one of those songs that will always be good. No matter how popular it gets or how many times it's played on the radio.

So sentimental

Not sentimental, no!

Romantic, not discussing it
Darling I'm down and lonely
When we're the fortunate only
I've been looking for something else
Duel it, duel it, duel it, juggle it, duel it, duel it

Go slowly, discouraged,
Distant from other interests
On your favorite we can end it
This love's for gentlemen only
That's with the fortunate only
No I gotta be someone else
These days it comes it comes it comes it comes it comes and goes

Lisztomania
Think less but see it grow
Like a ride, like a riot, oh!
Not easily offended
Know how to let it go
From a mess to the masses

Lisztomania
Think less but see it grow
Like a ride, like a riot, oh!
Not easily offended
Know how to let it go
From a mess to the masses

Follow, misguide, stand still
Discuss, discourage
On this precious we can end it
This love's for gentlemen only
Wealthiest gentlemen only
And now that you're lonely
Duel it, duel it, duel it, juggle it, duel it, duel it

Let's go slowly, discouraged,
We'll burn the pictures instead
When it's all over we can barely discuss
For one minute only
Not with the fortunate only
Thought it could have been something else
These days it comes it comes it comes it comes it comes and goes

Lisztomania
Think less but see it grow
Like a ride, like a riot, oh!
Not easily offended
Know how to let it go
From a mess to the masses

Lisztomania
Think less but see it grow
Like a ride, like a riot, oh!
Not easily offended
Know how to let it go
From a mess to the masses

Since the dawn of time, one species has reigned over all others in terms of sheer brutal bad assery; THE KILLER WHALE. They are vicious, unforgiving machines hellbent on destruction, and sexual gratification. You would do well to avoid them, and be wise to fear them.

The Abolition of Man

2010-03-16T10:06:00.000-07:00

I am going to keep this short and sweet.

Continuously fighting for the title of “Most Harmful thing to the Human Race,” in my opinion, is Political Correctness.

If I can urge you of anything at this moment in time it is this: Please do not sacrifice truth for feelings. It will never be worth it.

Philosophy

2010-03-04T00:56:00.000-08:00

Tonight I was asked what I would consider to be my life
philosophy. I was confused, at first, how to convert my many thoughts into a single mantra that could be practical and relatable. Initially my mind ran to quests of pursuing happiness, working hard, doing all the little things that we, as a unit of society, are “suppose to do.”

Instead, I landed on two simple aspects of pursuit that narrowed my search for the potential good life: "Strive for utopia and seek happiness.”

Utopia: an ideally perfect state; especially in its social and political and moral aspects

Hypothetically, if each us becomes a Utopian Citizen, we would eliminate the need for guidance. Each of us would esteem the intentions of others before our own. Each of us would work hard, be self-sustaining, and would help our brother if need be. We would live in a way that would make it possible for everyone to unequivocally pursue his individual happiness, which brings me to the second half of my life philosophy: seek happiness. This is necessary to mention 1. because everyone’s happy exists independently and 2. if not for joy, what is the point of living?

With that said, I am vowing to make a conscious effort to be a utopian citizen and seek happiness.
