What magick will you perform during this full moon? now is the time for spells and working on prosperity, spiritual growth etc. Don’t let another full moon pass you by and create some magick on the full moon. Spells are a powerful thing and you should use caution when creating your own spells if you’re not used to doing it. Be sure to do a little research first or get a spell off a trusted source before just going in head first.

Today marks our Blue Moon, which is a very powerful moon for intense and elaborate magick spells! My Goddess that I revere is Hecate and this morning, early mind you, i lit my Hecate magick candle and charged it as well as performed money magick using a gold magick candle. Both of those i purchased at Sacred Mists store.. (link on the right in the column).

Select a candle and its color you wish to work with to create your magic candle. What do you have in mind? Do you want to practice raising energy? Maybe experiment with what you can do with a magick candle? Are you going to be working a magick candle spell?

Here’s what I did the other night. Granted I’ve not been actively practicing and one of those people that brought out the herbs, magick candles and magick books when I need something, but I’ve gained the passion back.. the mystery of it all still is within me and just dying to be unleashed and shared.

In my right hand I held my magick candle and in my left hand, I drew in energy..how do you draw in energy? what does it mean? It means you focus.. recieving energy from Goddess, from the Moon, from the Earth.. You will feel vibrations in your hand… you will know when your recieving the energy, believe me. You will feel vibrations and when you do then you focus sending that energy into the magick candle that you are holding in your right hand. You focus for as long as you feel it necessary.. you feel it..you do it.. until you know youve sent that energy into the magic candle.

“They” say use a match to light your magick candle with, thats fine if you got one, if you don’t and have to do a lighter.. you can still do this. You hold the flame just above the wick and focus on the magic candle..now i didnt hold the flame like 5 inches above my wick, but only maybe a quarter inch above it..and allow the flame to dip down..draw down.. to the wick and let your magick candle be lit that way…its just a magickal thing when it happens.. all these little things.. instill within us.. belief.. you need that. you need to believe.. you MUST believe. you must have faith in everything you do.. in order for it, to work.

I found something that I could do, to help me along this whole..mindset we get ourselves into… I sat there, in front of my magick candle and i focused on the energy within me, the energy i was putting off through both of my hands. I held my right hand up to the magic candle flame and focused on trying to get the flame to lean towards that energy..and it worked with focus.. and then i would drop that hand and lift my left hand up and focus on moving the magick candle towards the energy in my left hand. and it worked then I took both hands and focused on raising the flame… stretching the flame upwards.. takes a lot of focus and be somewhere you wont be disturbed and you will see that magic candle move left to right and be able to increase the size of the flame :)

These magick herbs you may already have in your kitchen and its why I chose these select few, there are many magickal banishing herbs for banishing spells out there, but heres a nice list to get you started, that include : allspice, almond, basil, catnip, cinnamon, clove, dill, garlic, lavender, nutmeg, onion, rosemary, sage and thyme.

Candle magick..it’s one of my favorite things! Granted the photo is a water candle and represents endless possibilities and I think it looks cool.

What can you do, right now? You don’t have all these magickal herbs you read about.. you don’t have a magickal pillar in that certain color either. Simple substitutions my friend! You would use a white candle and if your dabbling for $ then you would simply go to the kitchen, get you some magickal cinnamin and go to town…well not literally, you would find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed and focus on what you want and get that magick candle charged and ready.

Sit calmly. Relax your whole body from head to toe. Imagine your feet to be tree trunks and going down through the earth. Center. Focus on your need. Watch the magick candle as you say what you want over and over again in your mind. You may find yourself rocking back and forth.

Creating Sacred space can mean several things, the most important meaning however is what it means to you. You don’t have to spend hundreds of $’s creating a sacred space for you, but of course you can. It’s all up to you. One simple Sacred space I’ve created for myself consists of a beautiful ceramic Indian, 12 different stones, a small spell jar, a deck of tarot cards and a witchcraft book. Ive got those things sitting on the back corner of my desk.

What does this do for me personally? In the middle of working a shift through the day, I can get a sense of who I am, by just looking at my little Sacred Space I’ve created for myself. The Indian reminds me of my creative abilities. The cards reminds me of my love of divination and wishing to know the future, the stones represent peacefulness as well as great energy, depending on which I might pick up throughout the day. The book, well it reminds me I need to continue reading it.

Now of course there is a greater meaning to creating Sacred Space, because Sacred Space is also meant for spells, rituals etc. Spaces you can keep intact long after your spells been done. A place to go to, to perform such rituals and spells. Considering that I do my tarot readings at my desk, for the most part, Its good to have those things nearby, for me.

Sometimes sadness seems to be overwhelming doesn’t it? No matter how much you try to interact with other’s ..you wind up feeling sad and blue when those “fun” times are over.

Instead of thinking constantly about the things that have you feeling sad and blue, why not try to think of the things that bring a smile to your face?

Do you know that if you focus on the things that bring you joy and happiness, you too, are soon feeling joyous and happy.

Have you ever thought about a friend you used to be close to, but have lost touch with? Sure you have! Have you ever done anything about that whole distance thing? Probably not. Why? Ask yourself why. Give yourself 10 good reasons why THIS person would NOT want to talk to you and give yourself 30 seconds to think of them..bet you can not come up with even 3 good reasons.

Are you afraid you are going to bring that other person down too? Don’t be, chances are you’re going to be too busy catching up on old times or making play-dates, that soon the miserable feeling you felt and that groaning sensation you had waiting for them to pick up the phone, will go away.

Too often people think that other people are feeling what you are feeling and are so intune with what you’re going through, that you don’t even give it a chance. Well here’s the kicker.. we aint all mind readers folks! Chances are YOU are the only one that knows how YOU are feeling, truly.. so give that other person a shot today…and pick up that damn phone!

The moon is going to be full at 2.10 am Sunday morning. Now, I’ve read alot of great books, which I will be sharing with you and giving you links you can buy them if you would like to. I used to think I had to have every possible herb,stone trinket, gadget on the market in order to make my magick work. Found out though all you need is the ability to believe in your actions.. and never think its not going to work thus killing any spells you cast.

So, with that in mind, here’s the goal and heres what i did. The only thing I used that actually cost money was a simple birthday candle. mine was blue and white, so what. Grabbed a knife and ran my knife down the swirly indents of the candle. There are 4 on mine, i used 3 of them…and with each indent i ran my knife down over the swirls slowly, careful to keep inside the groove and focused soley on my mission. Of course I thought of my mission first, my goal and i tweaked it into one of those “if its meant to be” kinda things. Then I raised my energy, charged it into my candle and i lit it and its almost burned down to nothing as i write this.
