Cowon D20 Price Announced in Japan

Cowon Japan announced that the Cowon D20 will be available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB on 5th April 2013. The suggested retail prices are 11,800 Yen (~US$125), 13,800 Yen (~US$146), and 16，800 Yen (~US$178) respectively.

No surprise since first notice Cowon D20 on official Russian site. D20 is introduced as retro Cowon D2+, where the latter indeed a retro of D2. It has a faster CPU and longer battery life that housed in the same casing with same features. The 2.5″ LCD touch screen is still resistive technology. You will still play usual MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, WAV & APE formats audio, and AVI, WMV & MP4 video up to 480P. BBE+ sound effect is still there.

We “believe” these are efforts to optimize battery life. Cowon D20 plays audio for 90hrs and video for 13hrs. It is highly possible that Cowon D20 is made of TCC7901 + WM960G chips. If you hate to charge your gadgets frequently, choose this. But we still think it is overpriced!

iRiver Lyumo M21 Released

iRiver Japan has announced its new Lyumu M21 to be available in store at 6th April 2012. It features a 2″ LCD screen and 8GB memory.

The new portable media player is selling at 4380 Yen (approx. US$54), with 2 choices of color (black & white).

Teclast to Introduce Retro T59?

Teclast T59 was supposed to be successor of T39, since launched on year 2007.However, T51 was introduced to take over this.

But T59 plan is not died yet. It is segmented to be portable hifi player, with a retro old school look. It is expected to bring us 24bit 192Khz audio quality. Detail specification is yet to know, but we won’t be waiting too long

iRiver to Introduce U100, P100, D2000

iRiver has just published a commercial that tease us on its comeback on 2011. Three products are introduced, including U100, P100, and D2000.

The new U100 is the portable audio player that feature a touch screen, microSD extension, built-in speaker, and WiFi-enabled. P100 and D2000 are the PMP/Digital dictionary with 11.9mm and 14.9mm thickness respectively. Well, not much details on this teaser video. But we can foresee much more in early of 2011

Is this iPod Nano 6?

Is it how the new iPod Nano 6G look like? Though the new iPod Touch 4G and iPod Nano 6G are not release yet, accessories for them are being sold in Alibaba. All these tip us that the new iPod Nano will have a square body, instead of rectangle.

Personally, I think a mini iPod Nano is really bad!

Picture above was previously published on China mobile phone community, sj.91.com. The website claims that these are accessories for the new iPod Nano and iPod Touch 4G, manufactured by X-doria.

If it is true, we will then see a hobbit version of iPod Nano. iPod Touch 4G maybe maintains the rounded corner of previous version. The little hole on top right of the case seems made for built-in camera and flash light. Probably not, it could be made for built-in speaker.

Cube U5 Runs on Android 2.1

China-based Cube claims their latest Cube U5 is the first PMP runs on Andriod 2.1 with Rockchip solution. Well, the title doesn’t matter. It just means that consumer will get a cheaper andriod toy soon. Cube U5 is built on Rockchip RK2816 chip and running Google Andriod 2.1 OS. No other information disclosed so far.

iRiver T8 and S100 Coming Soon?

A recent update of iRiver Plus software has leaked two new iRiver MP3 player models. The 2 new players are T8 and S100, which are probably the replacement for T7 and S10 respectively. Both players shall feature a LCD display with 320 x 24o resolution, according to iRiver Plus.
