Dating app Tinder has teamed up with Spotify to add new music-related features.

According to a press release, the move comes to “fully integrate music into the swiping experience”.
New features include being able to pick your own personal ‘anthem’: one song linked to your profile that could be what you’re listening to at the moment or simply your favourite track of all time.

Users will be able to connect their Tinder and Spotify accounts, allowing them to search for potential love interests based on their music tastes.

“We’re helping provide a completely new sensory experience on Tinder. Get ready for some serious sound,” the press release adds.

The R&B superstar made Sin City her second home in May, 2015, when she launched her hits showcase, #1 to Infinity, and she wrapped up the fifth leg of her concerts at The Colosseum in Caesar’s Palace on 11 September (16).

However, Mariah has announced fans will only get to see her in Vegas for one more set of dates, which will kick off on 26 April, 2017. The curtain will fall on #1 to Infinity for the final time on 13 May (17).

“Mariah is a phenomenal talent with ecstatic, global appeal,” reads a statement issued by John Nelson, Senior Vice President of AEG Live Las Vegas. “We adore Mariah and are honored she has called The Colosseum home over the last two years. We look forward to working together again in the future.”

By the end of the sixth leg of her residency, Mariah will have played a total of 53 shows.

The Hero hitmaker has only cancelled one performance to date, in May, 2015, after she was struck down with bronchitis.

Mariah is currently enjoying some downtime in Greece with her children, five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, and her new fiance, billionaire businessman James Packer.

The musician and her loved ones were spotted arriving on the island of Mykonos last week (13Sep16), and she shared snaps of herself and Monroe posing on a jet ski over the weekend (17-18Sep16), while vacationing in Santorini.

The boyband’s global fan base took to the social networking site after an eagle-eyed Directioner noticed a Future Events tab added to the boys’ official website.

Members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson only started their hiatus in January, after five years of nonstop work, but fans are hoping a comeback will happen sooner than expected.

The hashtag #ThisIsNotTheEndOfOneDirection quickly started to trend, though not long after the Future Events tab disappeared from onedirectionmusic.com.

“@onedirection WHY THE F**K DID YOU REMOVE THE FUTURE EVENTS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ARE U F**KING WITH US,” one disgruntled fan posted, while another vented: “WHAT THE HELL ONE DIRECTION REMOVED THE “FUTURE EVENTS” ON THEIR WEBSITE I FEEL SO BETRAYED.”

Others also commented about feeling betrayed, upset and disappointed.

News of the band’s hiatus came months after original bandmate Zayn Malik jumped ship to launch a solo career on 2015. At the time, Niall assured fans the group weren’t calling it quits.

“We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year,” Niall tweeted.

Louis added: “Your support is truly indescribable! It’s just a break we’re not going anywhere !! Promise Don’t worry.”

Doubts have been cast over a reunion though, with many of the band members signing solo deals in recent months. Liam and Niall have both inked contracts with rival record labels to former mentor Simon Cowell’s Syco label, while Harry has embarked on an acting career and Louis is enjoying life as a new dad.

Rumours of a rift between Harry and Louis have also dogged the band.

His performances at Folsom Prison at the time was quite unheard of, they revered him and rightly so. From the footage and music, we have heard/seen, the place was electric, to get that reaction from prisoners is pretty great huh? His voice unlike so many before and after him remained so consistent live and on a track, credit where credit is due.

Whilst writing this appreciation piece I stumbled across a really neat (yeah I went there) article called “78 Things You Didn’t Know About Johnny Cash” (link). I’m not going to rehash what the article said, because come on that’s just sad *ahem* rather I’m gonna pick out a few juicy facts I quite liked;

• Cash adopted his signature all-black suits as a good luck charm after he wore a black t-shirt and jeans to his first public performance.
• Jonny took only one voice lesson, after which the teacher advised him not to let anyone change the way he sang. (Thank you singing teacher, we love you)
• His parents named him J.R. Cash as a compromise between the names “John” and “Ray.” When he enlisted in the Air Force, Cash gave his name as “John R. Cash.” (Why oh why did you lie to me walk the line!!!)
• Richard Nixon was Cash’s favourite president. (So he wasn’t perfect then, side stepping the drug addiction I know)

But anyway definitely go and check it out, if I had the energy to write something like that I most definitely would, but seriously I don’t get paid for this sooooooo probably not going to happen anytime soon.

Moving onto his songs, any Johnny Cash fan knows his popular ones. “Walk the line” and “God’s gonna cut you down” are two of my favourites. According to that article I linked to a man named Carl Perkins suggested it. I think what appeals most to me about “God’s gonna cut you down” is the beat behind it, so simple yet so effective. Then “Walk the line” just has this old fashioned American country vibe to it that exudes a quality to it.

Jonny has a few grammy’s to his name and an epic final album of covers titled “American IV: The Man Comes Around” which is so good knowing that he died shortly after, the emotion and passion he gives is so heartfelt. “Hurt” on that final album feels so authentic if you look at it as a love letter to June, which is all the more heartbreaking. Johnny is an absolute legend of that I have no doubt I hope you enjoyed this little appreciation piece and give a listen to my favourite Johnny track below. Let’s be honest there is a mild resemblance between the two that does make you question the parentage (not really, don’t sue me!), to be honest even I have seen kids who look like Blue Ivy. But anyway I digress, people often say Blue looks nothing like Jay-z well cast your peepers on this new picture;

I cannot deny “One dance” is one of the best songs this summer without a doubt. “One Dance” and Views combined to give Drake the longest control, among solo males, of both the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 simultaneously with one song and one album: nine weeks. Drake passed Michael Jackson’s seven-week run of “Billie Jean” and Thriller leading both lists at the same time in 1983. Among all artists, Drake’s total is second only to the Whitney Houston’s 12-week stretch in 1992-93, which the late legend earned thanks to “I Will Always Love You” and the soundtrack to The Bodyguard.

And about the great man himself;
