Is there a better feeling than finding a talented new band? Not for me. Every so often music fans come across a young band that is far from amateur. They dazzle you from the start and make you wonder how they are not bigger. This is how I feel about a fantastic band from Buffalo, NY called The Tins. It with great excitement that I introduce these guys to you. www.weallwantsomeone.org

Our friend Will from the music blog We All Want Someone was kind enough to introduce us to this amazing soft indie rock band from NY called The Tins.

The Tins are about to release their self titled debut EP in the next couple of weeks and without a doubt one of the most impressive songs in this 5-track collection is “The Green Room”. A melodically rich song full of harmonious pop elements. It is really hard to call anything EPIC these days as saying so is sooo last century.. but I am going to have to agree with Will when describing the song, “It is a 7 minute epic that is finely constructed featuring great bridge transitions, hooks, and tight instrumentation.”

Give them a try and if you are like me, you will be consumed by their genuine indie pop/rock sound.

Two Door Cinema Club are an Electropop/Indie Rock band from Bangor and Donaghadee, Northern Ireland formed in 2007. Recently, DJ/Producer LightsoverLA created a great edit for ‘What You Know’ that complimented the song with a much dancible disco sound without overpowering the original intoxicating vocals.

I just discovered the soft and soothing voice of upcoming Mexican singier/songwriter Carla Morrison on one of my favorite spanish-focused (but not limited) music blog Club Fonograma.

They describe Carla Morrison as a “young talented lady from Tecate Baja California, a fresh face with a remarkable and comforting voice who’s quietly making her way into the realm of Mexican pop. She’s the owner of a heart-trenching vocal instrument, which she radiantly displays through beautiful intimate songs.”

The song below is a beautiful cover of friend and popular Mexican pop-rock singer, Natalia Lafourcade.

It is finally here! I’ve been waiting for the post as much as you guys. It has been a while since I went hunting for some awesome electro jams to get me through the weekend and every time I am in need of crazy ELECTROGASMIC tunes GottaDanceDirty.com never disappoints. Gotta Dance Dirty is a music blog based out of L.A. CA and Miami, FL who always are on top of both the best underground and mainstream dance hits. Most of them are DJ’s themselves so their quality filter is high. If you have twitter check them out at @gottadancedirty.

I hand picked all this songs and made sure it included a little bit of everything from ear-bleeding frequency stretched baselines to soft and subtle bubbly electronic melodies. There is dance-able pop’ish tunes to killer hardcore dubstep. Most songs are current but they are no all necessarily 2010 exclusive.

No. The image above is not a picture of Jesus. An honest mistake as front man of, Alex Ebert, does resemble The Messiah. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is an indie folk band with quite a few experimental and psychedelic influences. Their single “Home” become one of my favorite songs of 2009. As jonkmusic puts it, “Home” is a victory march to everywhere and, in fact, it is everywhere you are.

Recently, André Anjos of RAC released a very subtle remix of Home giving it a much dreamy sound.
