Welcome to the kaleidoscopic world of Asya Satti.

Born in Stockholm to Sudanese parents, Satti was steeped in musical influences ranging from Aretha Franklin to Umm Kulthum.

Having spent her formative years travelling between Sweden, Egypt and London, Satti began writing her own songs at the age of 15. Pouring forth from the African and Middle Eastern wellsprings of her heritage, Satti’s music flows between blues and soul in alternating languages.

Playing age: 18 to 24yrs

Physical characteristics: 5’7”, slim build, attractive.
Character: youthful energy, playful, reckless, seductive. As she walks she is
aware of her sexual power but there is a naivety and vulnerability behind it.

STORY OUTLINE
Set in London and the clubbing/nightlife scene we meet two characters- Tammy
and her beige best friend. Tammy is beautiful, reckless, aware of her sexual power
yet innocent and naive all at once. Her charisma and confidence is to the envy of
her best friend who wants to be less like herself and more like Tammy. There is a
strong tension of love and jealousy that underpins the feelings Tammy’s best friend
has towards her.
The video follows their day together in London, shoplifting, playing in arcades, going
to a house party, drinking and drugs. The evening events take a sinister turn when
Tammy is put in dangerous situations by her envious best friend.

As he walks on stage, his very appearance prompts Simon Cowell to mutter ‘just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse.’

But following in the footsteps of Susan Boyle, Jonathan Antoine will tonight become the latest Britain’s Got Talent sensation.

Shy and overweight, with a halo of frizzy brown hair, the 17-year-old from Loughton in Essex would at first seem to be an unlikely star.

But as the classically-trained singer opens his voice to perform The Prayer by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, Jonathan soon has the judges on the BGT in raptures – and Cowell calling him a ‘huge star’.

And in an echo of Susan Boyle’s first appearance on the ITV talent show, the teenager, who performs with his signing partner Charlotte Jaconelli, 16, admits he is highly unconfident after years of abuse.

Cowell, 52, says: ‘You’re not saying much Jonathan. Are you shy?’, to which he replies: ‘Sometimes.

I’ve always had problems with my size since I can remember and when I was in primary school. It was back then that I had the p*** taken out of me, that’s all.’

He then credits Charlotte, whom he met through his singing teacher, adding: ‘Charlotte’s been a really big help to me in terms of confidence and making me a better performer, and I really don’t want to be going up on stage today, but I didn’t have a choice about that.’

Charlotte added: ‘I’m quite protective of Jonathan now. Before you make a judgement about someone you should get to know them. It’s clichéd, but judging a book by its cover. You’ve got to read what’s inside.’

After their performance, the entire crowd at the Hammersmith Apollo erupt into applause, and judge

Alesha Dixon tells them: ‘It’s not very often that that happens. That you can move an audience like that.

‘You sing beautifully together. So well done.’

Judge David Walliams added: ‘A pop voice and an opera voice together. It was incredible.’

However, Cowell attempts to split the duo up, saying: ‘Okay, this is what I think, Charlotte. I think you’re good, but Jonathan – you’re unbelievable.

‘You have an outstandingly good voice. How old are you? That’s unbelievable. Jonathan, you are a huge star.

Defiant, Jonathan tells the music mogul: ‘Well, we’ve come on here as a duo and we’re going to stay on here as a duo’.
As they get a yes from all the judges, Cowell admits defeat – for the time being – saying: ‘You know what. My head would say to you Jonathan, dump her. And then my heart would say, ‘but there is something kind of magical at moments together as well’. So I am going to say yes to the two of you.’
When asked by hosts Ant and Dec if that felt like a life-changing moment, Jonathan says ‘yes, to be honest.’ And Charlotte adds: ‘I think – for you.’
The pair will now perform in the live semi-finals.

The former church volunteer, who lives alone with her cat in Blackburn, West Lothian, has since amassed a fortune of more than £10million after selling more than 16million copies of her three albums to date.

Asya
Asya is a singer- songwriter from North London. Of Sudanese origin her early years were spent living in Sweden, Egypt and London. She inherited her talent for singing from her father Satti who was a firm fixture on the Sudanese music scene. Her love for singing and performance prompted her to write her own songs from the age of 17. Asya was vocally trained in the technique of Speech Level Singing. Her natural gift for singing led to a young talent bursary. Asya counts Kate Bush, Aretha Franklin, Radiohead and Britney Spears among her main influences.
Asya used her university years to create sell out events at Cargo and The Jazz Cafe. It was through these events that she had the opportunity to perform to a large audience.
After graduating, Asya put together a 6-piece band complete with percussion. Her popularity as a songwriter and performer earned her repeat performances at Ronnie Scotts, The Bedford, Cafe de Paris, The Jazz Cafe and The Pigalle Club.
Asya collaborated with producer and school friend Alex Anotonio in May 2010. Inspired by the everyday conflicts in life and love, Asya sought to write lyrics people could relate to. Her first single Bitch in the Bedroom showcases her punchy style of writing.

Sound Of Rum
Sound Of Rum are now set to release their debut album Balance on Rob da Bank’s label, Sunday Best Recordings. Forged from the combined talents of vocalist Kate Tempest, guitarist Archie Marsh and drummer Ferry Lawrenson; Sound of Rum’s music is as uniquely diverse as it is relevant and entertaining. From their humble beginnings less than three years ago, the band’s notoriety has progressed at an exponential rate.
Kate Tempest started writing poetry at around the same age as most people start writing their own name. By the time she was 15 she had composed material she felt was worthy of being heard. Plunging deep into the mainly male orientated world of hip-hop rap battling, Tempest quickly earned a reputation as someone who needed to be listened to. Similarly Archie Marsh and Ferry Lawrenson have both devoted their lives to the mastery of their craft. Bernadette Ryan
As ambitious as young writer/arists go, 21 year-old Bernadette Ryan is certainly setting her bar high with dreams of platinum records and international hits.
Schooled in the violin before discovering a love for the piano at fifteen, she taught herself how to play from listening to R&B and Soul records by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and John Legend and began to write her first songs.
After thriving in her first year of studying a vocal degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music, Bernadette dropped out to join a new pop band. It was At this point she knew she had to stay true to her own style if she wanted the longevity of a timeless release. With this in mind, she set off on her solo mission to create an album that defines her. Procuring numerous writing sessions with James Bryan (Nelly Furtado), The Nextmen (Jess Mills) & Si Hulbert (Ed Sheeran, Professor Green, Sugababes), solo acoustic gigs in & around London soon followed, as well as stints with Chad Beatz (G-Unit/Lloyd Banks), Inflo (Talay Riley, Loick Essien) & Adam Midgely (Talib Kweli, Cee-lo Green, Paloma Faith).
‘The songs I write are all from personal experiences or things that the people around me have gone through. I’m not here to write mind-numbing pop tunes, I wanna challenge myself and others by writing about what’s real, singing about a subject others are unable to write about or choose not to.’
With a slew of online features and live shows now under her belt (including supporting Island Records’ Josh Osho at his recent EP launch), Bernadette has certainly been adding plenty to her already impressive skill set of singer, song writer, musician and dancer.

Ronika
Ronika was a colony world that was terraformed into a common exile for criminals in the Empress Teta system under the rule of Empress Teta. It was the eighth planet in the system. Following the Unification Wars, many rebels were exiled to Ronika, but were later granted amnesty for their service in the Great Hyperspace War.
Ronika was a desolate place, covered in desert and rock. Her surface was exposed to high levels of ultraviolet radiation, and was home to stinger moths.
