As indicated earlier, Nelly Furtado will have a new album out titled The Spirit Indestructible that was originally slated for a June 19th release.  According to an official label press release, the Canadian superstar has elected to push the release of her new album to September 18 to “accommodate both US and International promotion schedules through the summer”.

This video will literally make your heart stop, it did for Trey Songz in his latest video.  The short-film-like music video features the smooth operator in unfamiliar territory as we watch a massive fight between Trey and Kelly Rowland (in a spectacularly played cameo).  There are flashbacks to happier times and a horrific car crash involving the despondent smooth man, where his heart, not just only broken but quite literally stops!  You gotta see this to believe it!  The song will be featured on his upcoming Chapter V record.

Alt-rockers The Hives have just premiered their music video to “Go Right Ahead” and announced the release date for their upcoming album, Musiqtone News has learned.  The band also announced via press release of June tour dates in the US!

Their upcoming album, titled Lex Hives is due out June 5 via their own record label and distributed by Warner Music Group’s indie arm, Independent Label Group.  The album comes ahead of a North American tour that has confirmed dates in June, all in the United States and that also comes ahead of a future fall US tour.  Lex Hives is now available to pre-order on iTunes, including a Deluxe Edition that features bonus tracks produced and recorded by Josh Homme.

The Hives recently returned to the live stage in grand fashion, including an explosive set at Coachella, a close-knit show at Webster Hall in NYC and a TV performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live that saw them play two songs from Lex Hives, “Go Right Ahead” and “Wait a Minute”.

Who says you can’t plan the fall in the spring?  No Doubt has.  You heard it right, No Doubt is back!  It has been nearly a decade since we last heard any original music from the group that made ska-rock cool and turned Gwen Stefani into an international superstar.

Their new album, still untitled is set to come out on September 25, 2012, making it easily one of fall’s most, if not the most anticipated arrival!  And to get fans started, we are showing the first in a series of webisodes done by the group as they preview a new track with Major Lazer and Jamaican star Busy Signal called “Push and Shove”.

Arizona metal-hardcore rockers The Word Alive announced today ( May 8 ) the tracklist and cover art for their upcoming sophomore release Life Cycles, due out July 3, 2012.  The release is a follow-up to their successful freshman debut Deceiver and is said to be a musical progression from their debut album.  The band is currenty wrapping up a Canadian leg of their World Is Ours Tour with Attack! Attack! and fellow metalcore outfit Escape The Fate.  And no rest for the weary…they will head out to Europe starting May 18 with I See Stars, For The Fallen Dreams and Upon a Burning Body and finally a 3-date jaunt through Japan with Crossfaith.
