Yes I know I have been M.I.A for a while, just started a new job and a new move and have been super busy working and such. Needless to say I haven't had much time for my hair which is now suffering from neglect. I can't keep my hair moisturized by spritzing with water in the mornings so I've been wearing twists and just oiling my scalp. However, my hair is more dry than usual. Cowashing entails washing ones hair with conditioner alone. While many shampoos strip the hair of it's natural oils and moisture, co washing is a great alternative because it allows you to cleanse your hair and retain moisture. 

When should you co wash? I normally Cowash my hair every two weeks or in between shampooing.

I found it at whole foods about eight months ago and have been using the same bottle since. Yes, I paid ten dollars for this 32oz bottle and I still have enough for at least another two months.

The one thing I hate the most is dry brittle hair. Not moisturizing your hair well enough can cause brittleness and breakage. I struggle with dry hair because I don't like to put a lot of things in my hair. I have learned that oils alone do not moisturize, so about once a month I do an at home avocado mask to restore moisture to my hair if i feel its a little dried

Ok guys so this is my one year update, I went natural in June 2010 because my hair fell out from bad perms and lack of proper care. As you can see due to my hair care regimen my hair has made quite some progress

The journey has not been an easy one for me, I have been struggling for a while to accept the new natural me.
