The app was developed by Australia-based Jase Morrisey, who will join Reddit and improve the app as a part of the deal. The acquisition comes after Reddit had raised $50 million in funding by led by Sam Altman with Sequoia Capital’s Alfred Lin and Marc.

The popular message board site has sought to venture into the mobile space for adapting to the technological advancements. The terms of the deal and the number of app users were not revealed.

“We want to be able to have new features from Reddit.com show up on mobile faster and better,” said Ellen Pao, head of partnerships and strategic development at Reddit.

Earlier, the company had worked with Mr.Morrisey for some years and decided to help him as there was help needed to further develop the app. The company mentioned in a blog post that hey were happy to welcome the first Aussie in their team and the popular iOS client. The Alien Blue iOS client will be available alongside the official Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) app in the app store and users can upgrade it to the pro version for a week. Morrisey shared a post on Reddit, expressing his happiness on joining the company.

Reddit has definitely lost out a significant amount of revenue by not releasing a mobile app and integrating ads similar to the AMA app. the company plans to introduce ads in the app in the coming days and there will be future upgrades. The details regarding revenue from feature upgrades were not disclosed.

The Apple Watch Sport model now retails at $249, and the new price tag is in effect for all Best Buy stores nationwide, along with iPad price cuts. This could very well be a strategy to boost web traffic for the upcoming holiday shopping season, but it could also mean that the tech behemoth is prepared to launch the Apple Watch 2.

At the moment of writing this article, Best Buy has the cheapest prices for Apple smartwatches, beating Amazon and even the Apple Store itself.

Target also offers price cuts for Apple’s smartwatch. The major retail chain sells the Apple Watch for $29, but that’s just in form of vouchers – if the consumer spends enough at the store, then he’s eligible for that price cut.

IBM’s Watson supercomputer, and super-app, has predicted that the Apple Watch will be one of the most sought-after gifts for the past Black Friday event, and also for the upcoming X-Mas season.

Before restoring Google Nexus 7 to factory state, the user data will need to back up the data and download the required files. The guide requires a certain level of command prompt knowledge and is aimed at Windows users. A 7-Zip software for extracting files from .tgz file, Android SDK along with the required Java SE development kit and Nexus 7 factory image can be downloaded from the links.

Download and install the above files and notice the install location (default location: C:/Users/AppData/Local/Androidandroid-sdk) known as SDK directory. Follow the steps:

1. Run SDK manager -> under Tools check “Android SDK Platform-tools” -> under extras check ” Google USB Driver” and press install #packages  -> continue with on-screen instructions.

2. The platform tools will be installed in sdk directory>platform-tools and USB drivers at extrasgoogleusb_driver.

3. Follow the YouTube link for Driver installation.

Extracting and flashing Factory image:

1. Use 7-Zip for opening the .tgz file and the.tar file inside the file -> open the directory “nakasi-jwr66y” extract the contents to sdk directory>platform-tools.

2. The extracted files should contain bootloader-grouper-4.23.img, image-nakasi-jwr66y.zip, flash-all.sh, flash-base.sh.

3. Enable fastboot mode by via adb command Code: > adb reboot-bootloader and fastboot unlock command Code: > fastboot oem unlock.

4. Use the power and volume buttons and follow the commands based on device variant, Wi-Fi(nakasi) or GSM/HSPA(nakasig)

If you can, see if there are any other hotspots available to connect to and test. This will determine whether the problem is with a service provider or with the App itself. It’s also a good idea to reboot your Wifi router at least once to ensure that it is not just a momentary router glitch.
