In Your word a picture

Painted so clear

So vivid in my heart

To my soul so dear

Filled with love and praise

To a God who fills my world

In so many different ways

I write of all His touch

Laid out in front of me

Though mere words fail to describe 

The wonders that I see

He has filled this world with beauty

ETERNAL SPRING

Tired, beaten and thirsty

Finding my refuge in sin

A continual struggle in battle

A war I could not win

But God, who knew and loved me

Showered me in grace and mercy

Brought me to a place to drink and sit

END OF DARKNESS

Not so long ago in life

I constantly tossed and turned

In my sin I looked to rest

By my conviction always spurned

With Grace He reached out to me

I repented and confessed my sin

I felt the comfort of His arms

I was free, my rest in Him could now begin

With the dawn of my new life

The end of the darkness like night

My heart filled with the radiance of a sunrise

Illuminated by His glorious Light.

Be thankful for each one

Before you go

When morning comes

and it’s time to rise

when a new day dawns

and you open your eyes

Before you get up

before your feet touch the floor

before you start your day

before you walk out the door

Spend just a silent moment

be thankful for a new start

ask God for His blessing

allow His love to fill your heart

Apprehension filters in

 To ease my fears and worries

I open Your word and enter in

I find direction and understanding

Wisdom to see me through

Some things a blessed reminder

To what I already knew

Oh my Lord, I give thanks

For all You have given me

For Your mercy, love and grace

That flows abundantly

In the hope that comes with Your promise

Comes joy that will never cease

And what came with my salvation

That certain inexpressible peace

The one that shines through

Light of Your glory

That draws men unto You

May the difference be evident

In all I do and say

Proclaim with love

You are the light, truth and way

You have taken me from darkness

The light of salvation on my face

Unmerited favor for me granted

Only through Your mercy and grace.

Joy Of The Spirit

Salvation mine He has called me

Saved from eternity in hell

To be with Him forever

On this promise I will dwell

I will love Him with all my heart

Sing songs of glory and praise

Keep my eyes fixed on the cross

Follow Him all of my days

For He showers me with abundant grace

To I one so unworthy He longs to give

Oh to know this wonderful joy

That only His Spirit can give.

Tears Of Joy

I read Your word in quiet solitude

And the joy does truly increase

Truly meditating on what You did

That I may have this peace

The peace of salvation through Your sacrifice

  With love I wipe a tear from my eye

Overwhelmed knowing that out of love my Lord

So that I may live, You would choose to die.
