New OGR Email and Booth Confirmation

Hey All,
As most of you probably know by now, Octagon Global Recruiting sent out their second email confirming some more details and plans for Comic Con. For those that still do not know we have a team of Losties including myself that wll be at CC next week do our best to bring you full details.

LOST Nominations for Teen Choice Awards

Ok so I know that the Teen Choice Awards are not major awards, but Teens are a big part of the money making TV industry machine, so what they think makes a big difference and well, LOST, Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly were all nominated.

Maybe the acting of these three actors in Season 4 was not near the level of Henry Iam Cusick or Michael Emerson, but their popularity with teen fans has gotten them these nominations.

Yunjin Kim Finds Home in LA's Koreatown

"Lost" star Kim Yun-jin has found herself a home in Los Angeles' Koreatown.

Kim, a South Korean actress who plays Sun Kwon on the ABC series, said she plans to move into the Summit on Sixth condo development when construction is complete later this year.

Kim reserved a one-bedroom unit with a den, which generally sells for between $660,000 and $880,000, sales director Tamara Kim said Tuesday.

The actress will promote the luxury condo project in Korean- and English-language magazine and newspaper advertisements, according to developer Big Rock Partners LLC. She reserved a unit while meeting with developers about promoting the project, said Big Rock spokeswoman Phyllis Hu.

"When I toured the property, I was really impressed with the design and its central location," Kim Yun-jin said in a news release.

The building sits at the intersection of two major streets cutting through Koreatown, a bustling 5-square mile area of central Los Angeles featuring hundreds of Korean-owned businesses.

Tamara Kim said the developer was eager to recruit Kim Yun-jin as its spokeswoman for the 11-story project because of her appeal to a broad swath of potential Korean and Korean-American buyers.

Kim Yun-jin became an international star with her performance on "Lost" after an acting career that included a starring role in "Swiri," a 1998 movie considered the first South Korean blockbuster.

"She's very popular in Korea and she's well known in the Korean community here," Tamara Kim said. "She has a wide audience."

ABC Offers LOST Online in Asia for Free on TVB

One of the biggest complaints for LOST and ABC has been that the International fans have not been able to view the episodes online at ABC.com. Fans have had to resort to downloading episodes illegally, but it seems like a new deal by ABC and one of Asia's (Hong Kong) top English networks have made a deal to allow fans in those markets to watch the episode online after it airs on TV.

Could this be a sign of the future for other international markets as well?? Of course there will always be fans that want to download the shows for their "own" purposes, but at least this opens the door to new fans and it might help minimize illegal downloads.

Here are the details:

Hong Kong's top English-language channel, TVB Pearl, is partnering with Disney-ABC International Television to launch Catchup TV, a free on-demand TV service here.

"Dirty Sexy Money" will launch the service Friday on TVB.com, just 12 hours after the drama series premieres on the Hong Kong terrestrial channel, the companies said at a signing ceremony Tuesday.

A first of its kind service for ABC in Asia, TVB.com will make episodes of "Dirty" along with such ABC-produced shows as "Lost," "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers & Sisters" online for four weeks.

Disney-ABC International Television Asia Pacific senior vp and managing director Rob Gilby told The Hollywood Reporter that Catchup TV is a "complementary service" that will echo the success of the network's Web portal at home.

"When we launched ABC.com in the U.S., we found that it helps support viewers to enjoy the show on the network, they can also enjoy it online. It's an additive process," Gilby said.

Cecilia Tan, deputy controller of TVB's program division, said that TVB is looking forward to expanding the Catchup TV lineup to include series from other networks.

Elizabeth Mitchell is a Cool Mom

LOST Star Elizabeth Mitchell recently met with TV Guide Channel's Fashion Team's Daphne Brogdon to talk about motherhood and fashion.

In my job as one of the hosts of "The Fashion Team" on TV Guide Channel - or, as I like to call it, "deep cable" - I meet various celebrities. One of the great aspects of motherhood is the insta-connection you can make with people of all stripes. Between takes on my show, it's best to chat with your guest, get to know them, make them comfortable, distract them so they don't notice it's taking 20 minutes to set up a shot. Some are more fun than others.

Elizabeth Mitchell, "Juliet" on "Lost," was a recent fave. We all loved her. I remember her from 10 years ago as Angelina Jolie's girlfriend in "Gia" (hot!). It took us about 10 seconds before we were chatting about our kids, who are only a couple weeks apart. Mitchell's not a Hollywood mom; she lives in Hawaii for the show half the year, and Seattle is her homebase and she doesn't have a nanny. Her husband and relatives help her out. Love a Mister Mom!

I asked her what's one of the beauty rituals that's gone out the window with motherhood. She said, "I'm doing it." She said she only puts nail polish on the toes that peek out of her pumps and since she doesn't wear those much (for motherhood or "Lost"), she doesn't bother with a full pedi - it's outfit dependent. Good tip! (No pun intended.)

She gained 70 pounds with her pregnancy. Wow, that's a lot of girl. She is tall so she could carry it better than I - I would have been a perfect circle. She's lovely now, so I asked her how she lost it: "Nursing and running." We chatted about how nursing peels off the pounds. I have the knees of 60-year-old, so the running isn't happening for me anymore.

I asked her if I could quote her on my blog. Being Ms. Perfect, she said (paraphrasing), "Oh, yeah, I think motherhood can be really hard, all that goes with it, and I like to demystify it."

I gazed at her, "You had me at the toenails."

Seven Minute Slideshow of Josh Holloway

Well, a super fan or fangirl of LOST star Josh Holloway, made a tribute slide show in honor of his birthday which is on July 20th.

So Happy Early Birthday Josh!!

The video is a 7-minute Holloway slide show containing pictures of practically his whole life. The video claims it has some very rare pictures, many of them I had never seen before, but I am assuming you Sawyer/Holloway fans have seen each one several times.
