Oak and Ebony Blanket Chest

The Blanket Chest was built with Quartered White Oak. The joinery is large pillowed finger joints. The top has breadboard ends and the chest is adorned with Ebony inlays. The finish is natural and the topcoat is poly. The four panels are Quartered White Oak veneer.

Ciseal uses Birch, Oak, Walnut and Sapele veneers to create unique, drool-worthy tablet stands, magazine holders, lamps, chairs, benches and custom pieces. Rudy, an old car refurbishing hobbyist, purchased this 18,434 documented 1948 Chevrolet Country Club Woody from the original owner. What makes this car special is that it is 100% original, except the renewing of the wood . Rudy wanted to use Philippine Mahogany, only available at Oakwood Veneer.

Teak Veneer “Texan” Yacht Tables

These tables were made for the 55′ Viking Motor Yacht “Texan” They are made with Teak background and Pecan wood Texas map and Texan logo. The star on the map is Bloodwood. They are covered with 1/4″ of epoxy and varnish. The owners of this yacht wanted to have their Texan heritage displayed prominently. The builder, Blue Water Trading, shows a photo of the process of making the tables which is really interesting.

Kewazinga and Maple Wing Desk

Duane Ebben, of Ebben Custom Cabinets & Furniture, built this stunning “Wing desk”. He built this unique custom modern style desk for a customer from solid Maple and Kewazinga Veneer, with matching drawer fronts choosing a portion that he felt resembled a face. The front legs also match having the heartwood down the outside of the legs. It has Maple dovetailed drawers on wood runners.

Japanese Tamo Ash Cabinet

Wenge Veneer Credenza
