Celebrate Color: January

For the first pick in our "Celebrate Color" series, I decided to choose Pantone's "Color of the Year" for 2012, Tangerine Tango.

I've been always been a fan of orange and her many cousins. As a child, I carried around a "Tigger" figurine everywhere I went and since then, I've always counted the sunshine-y shade as one of my favorites!

In addition to the Tangerine loveliness you'll find here on the blog, you can follow my Twitter Page where I'll be featuring spotlight fabrics as well. Kaffe is taking the stage today...

So this month, look forward to posts full of Tangerine inspiration! Here's a little Tangerine tune-age for you to kick us off!

Hope you all enjoyed a fun weekend! I was unexpectedly alone this December 31 and shared this documentary on the Barnes collection with a slice of chocolate cake. Art, sweets and solitude: not a bad way to start a new year if you ask me!

My theme for Spincushion in 2012 is "Celebrate Color". Each month I'll be spotlighting a new color that's finding it's way into our lives in the form of fashion, home decor, surface design, etc- a "Color of the Month" if you will. I'll feature color boards, fabric collections and other inspirations to get you thinking about how to incorporate the color into your world. Sound like fun? I thinks so!

So what will the color of the month for January be? Any guesses? You have to tune in tomorrow to find out!

When I first saw the clip I kept yelling, "Pick up the clutch! Pick up the clutch!" to my computer screen... it didn't work.
