In Her Shoes is back! After a long hiatus, we’re back with our every once and awhile feature, bringing you an inside look at shoe tips and tricks from petite-footed women in fashion.

This week we’re thrilled to feature Cynthia Cheng Mintz, founder and Webitor-in-Chief of DelectablyChic!

Name: Cynthia Cheng Mintz

What is your shoe size? 4 ½ (can sometimes fit into 5 and have had to go down to a 4 before!)

What is your job? I run an online lifestyle publication called DelectablyChic! (www.delectablychic.com)

Where are you based? Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Who is your fashion muse or icon? I don’t know if I really have one. I guess I sort of have a style, which is a bit on the preppy side, but I can’t say I emulate or strive to be any particular icon or icons!

What is your mantra, fashion or otherwise? Keep it simple and never go over-the-top. Otherwise, you look like you’re trying too hard!

What fashion items can’t you live without? For fall/winter: my sweater dresses, long sweaters, skinny pants and tall boots. For spring/summer (or more, summer): jersey dresses and wedge sandals.

Tell us about that favorite thing in your closet. I have an old Banana Republic wrap dress from 2003 or 2004 that I still wear each summer!

Any fashions you are really excited about right now? I love the oxblood/burgundy shades.

Anything you’d love to add? I’d love to see more petite and petite-friendly items – and that includes shoes!

The Keri in Black and Brown- If you are looking for a staple pump, you cannot go wrong with Keri. Now available in black and brown leather, this shoe one that will be in your closet for a very long time. Heel height is 2 ¾ in. so you can walk all day and all night without pain. Classic suits and pants go better with this classic pump.
The Faith in Nude and Black- If you are invited to any warm weather weddings this holiday season, Faith will be the perfect shoe for you. Nude beige or classic black patent leather, and an open toe make this pump a perfect guest to special functions. Heel height is 4 in. with 1 in. platform. Wonderful addition to a cocktail dress.
The Annabel in Black and Beige- This is our basic hidden platform pump which can be made in virtually any color your petite feet desire.
