Batman Nine-Nine - Something Hairy

This is yet another (mostly) AI animation using a comedy bit from a classic episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. This time, I was inspired by the season 2 cold open where Detective Charles Boyle grows a very unflattering goatee and is upset when Jake and the other detectives are honest about how bad it looks on him. Poor Boyle even gets so attached to the ugly goatee that he gives it a name: Bianca.

This time, Nightwing is cast in the role of Charles Boyle, instead of Jake. Some may argue that this casting is too against type, since Nightwing is typically considered the "cool" and/or "quippy" one in the Bat Family. However, over several decades of DC Comics, Nightwing has had more than enough cringeworthy and blind-spot moments for this to be justified, in my opinion. :)

This is a (mostly) AI animation made with Adobe software, Daz Studio, Elevenlabs, and open source AI graphics software (WanGP & ComfyUI). The premise is a classic cold open from a season 2 episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Like my other recent Batman video, I created this as an exercise to teach myself and stay up-to-date with AI technologies, such as Comfyui and Wan video.

This video shows Batman's team in the Batcave, reacting to Batgirl being late for the first time ever. Inspired by one of many scenes from Brooklyn Nine-Nine that lives rent-free in my head, this AI animation recontextualizes the 'Amy Santiago is late' cold open with a full recast by the Bat-Family.

Yes, this is (mostly) AI animation, and yes, this comedy bit is totally lifted from a classic episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. This time, I was inspired by the season 5 episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine where Detective Rosa Diaz comes out as bisexual to her friends and loved ones. The original version of the Rosa comes out scene recently appeared on my YouTube recommended, and it made me start thinking about how Robin (Tim Drake) came out as bisexual in recent years. I started to wonder if I could make Rosa's scene work for Robin. Fast-forward and here we are with this animation that recasts Rosa's coming out to the Nine-Nine with Robin and the Bat-Family.
