We’ve launched a bunch of features recently that we’re pretty excited about. One of the more prominent ones is a wizard to help in the event creation process. Now as you click a create event button anywhere on the site a wizard will pop up and guide you through the process. Once you get the hang of it you can shut the wizard off, but it should really help the new-comers. A few other things worth mentioning are some backend improvements, the addition of more “add” buttons in events so it’s simpler to contribute your own content (photos, videos, tweets, etc) and we changed the display of the zoom button to be more descriptive.

We’re about to launch the ability to upload photos directly from you computer or from a URL, so hang on to your hats.

We’ve also been working on some great new designs for the timeline itself, but those are a ways off so don’t start holding your breath just yet.

Scott and I just got back from a trip to Northern Cali that included a sit down with the highly regarded technology blogger, Robert Scoble.  He conducted a 20 minute video interview with us.  Really nice guy and glad we had the opportunity to sit with him.

Barbara Bickham from the Examiner.com interviewed Kieve the other day about Dather. Excerpt below and link to the whole article at the bottom.

Kieve did an interview with SoCalTech.com the other day and it just went live. It gives a good snapshot of Dather and where we are at at the moment. It’s also the first ink on Dather, so that kind of rules. Have a look at the excerpt below and then click through to read the whole thing, print it out, put it on your wall, frame it, give it as a gift to a friend, etc.

A lot of similarities here for sure. I’ve definitely been thinking about how close the VC role resembles the A&R role.
