Hi Everyone,
I know I haven't been here for a while as I have been quite busy. I was able to get working on the videos a little bit and got You Tube up. My Promo video clip about me is done:

Of course I put up the previous You Bring It Swing It June 20 2010 video, but I started one for this month on the 29th. You can watch it below and I had originally intended on adding some new footage of the toilet seat being resurrected, but our weather was more rain than anything and the footage I wanted would have been done outside. Although what I had planned would actually go with it "gloomy weather" I had no desire to go out in it and try to shoot some film.

The above is the result of what I did and I don't know why, but there's a few things I did in the video with the output expecting to be different and somehow it ended up like it did which seemed better. Typical for me where I try to do one thing and wind up with something else.

Well, mixing music and effects with video takes time so it might be a while before I add more new videos to You Tube. Meanwhile I'm looking for the older ones I did to get them posted there.

Just to back track a little bit

Hi everyone,
I've been busy getting ready for the big show in April and there's the GWN following that. This is where I am back tracking.

It seems like it was only yesterday, but actually it's almost a year ago I did a video for the GWN when they had this You Bring It We Swing It card coming up. It was that day I had no idea I had some footage and photo to put together to create this clip, but to get to the point. I realized I hadn't put it up here and thought it was about time to share.

I have to say I didn't think it would wind up taking over 700 hits on Twitter and became so popular, but ironically enough there were tons of tossed out old toilets throughout the year that I kept seeing wherever I went.

There were crap jokes and other toilet related things too and it seems that everywhere I went I was able to use a flush joke. Then I found this little tidbit (pardon another pun) and put this up for the NEXT You Bring It card.

Well as the story goes it got a lot of attention and here I am finally getting time to mention it.

So here's a few photos and a video about it from last year and I hope you enjoy it.

I think it was a good way to get across that the heels were pretty crappy and the baby faces had the opportunity to flush away their opponents.

Needless to say it was swung:

I have no idea if this year will have something as entertaining as this match, but if so you may need to wait another year before I can update it here.

Springing Forward as usual

Hi everyone,
Still recovering from that hour's loss of sleep are we? Well I always find myself springing forward into everything I have to do because I like to get things done and out of the way. There are some exceptions; one is the show in April that annually gets prepared for. Not just by the promoter Brian Martin, but also by myself.

It's funny how people can just show up at various shows I've seen and not prepare for it at all really, but since I've been in shows and around them all my life it's been a constant preparation for each. This show in April is one of the biggest and a lot goes into it each year that I have to look at Mr. Martin as a super hero to be able to put together something of that magnitude and still get around the show looking every bit as if he's not had a single moment of pressure.

For three days the show runs and there's a schedule to maintain as well as many to be accounted for including the stars of the show. I can't imagine the amount of work, but I do suspect that because it's been running for so many years it's somewhat routine.

There are a few areas that are lacking, but they aren't huge matters and the show does run very smoothly and quite enjoyable.

Well they spring forward into it right after it's finished and start preparing for the next year and I have to say that's one of the things I admire about people running shows like that and everyone involved. They have so much to set up and so many things going on at the Queen Elizabeth Building that the second you get inside and look around you're in awe at how much is there.

Vendors have come and gone as well as various people who've appeared. I have to say the ones that have been a main stay at the show are always a friendly face to see when I get back there. I finish by saying the British Air Paratroopers are a great bunch of guys and along with them are the Bobby's.

Following this show is another GWN Wrestling show which is by far a much smaller production, but one with a lot of heart and it's great to be able to show support and do what I can to help them capture some of that heart and soul. I have no idea what the future holds, but if they ever reach the magnitude of the Isles show I'd like to be around for it. I've been with the Isles show longer than the GWN, but haven't been there from the start like the GWN. Regardless it's wonderful to be a part of the it and catch photos of the talent as each year passes.

Well readers I must get back to work in preparation because when the April weekend hits I won't have time for anything and I have to be completely ready.

Hello Readers, For a while I have been busy working on this video that's finally ready. It's of the GWN from the years 2008-2010 and I have gathered quite a lot of footage to put into it. For the record the video was mostly done in order of the GWN people that have been around continuing to the new people and current wrestlers. I had to add the ladies at the end or nobody would stick around to see the entire video. HA HA Of course it was a lot of fun making the video getting the music and believe me I had a lot of selections to go through, but it was a blast. OK, ok, here it is...

Well I hope everyone enjoys it and remember there's more years ahead for me to get much more footage to create yet another video that will keep the wrestling memories alive. If the upload doesn't work because it's long then this link might work

Holiday greetings

It was a few days before Christmas and I got an idea,
It wasn't that junk you buy from Ikea.
A year's worth of story was my big goal,
But it's been such a year I could be on a roll.
There were wigs, wedgies, cage matches, and wrestling galore,
But thankfully the best; I never saw Jay Moore.
Heads were shaved and rings were broke
Most unfortunately Igor spoke.
There were some new wrestler's and oh what a joy,
The most charismatic and loved was of course Danger Boy.
The photos continued snapping all year long,
Tyrant sticking JQ with the needle was just plain wrong.
Everyone knows needling takes some class
And most hope JQ kicks some...uh carcass.

Okay, so the wrestling was fought tooth and nail,
I'm really pleased nobody came with slop in a pail.
I got some air photos inside the cage,
Fighting for Ethan became the new rage.
A table of weapons was used for a bout,
A lot of wrestlers got knocked out.
There was one referee who nearly got named Rip,
Who also tied his shoe one match so no one would trip.
There was another referee that kicked at a wig,
And the retirement of a wrestler whose name starts with "Big".

Months of wrestling and thousands of photos later,
I wonder who will make the year 2011 greater?
Thanks to all those captured with smiles and a wave,
You made the memories possible to save.
I'll continue this journey without any fear,
But look for me at ringside in the upcoming year.

Seasons Greetings...and wait! What's this?

Hi everyone,
Oh wow I came to write some seasons greetings and saw the last blog. Now I have to change my mind, but first Happy Holidays!

Why the change in subject? Dana White is the answer. The head of UFC you wonder? Well if you read Fighting For Freedom and know about the UFZ...the Underground Fight Zone; you'll get why.

Okay so the UFC is sanctioned here now and Dalton McGeeky (spoiler Macy name from Return Home series that's in progress) had his daughter convince him to allow it.

Wild that currently I am writing about the UFZ once again and there has been talk about which way people are going.

If you read the series; you'll know that underground fighting doesn't have the governments hand in the money pot, so you can pretty much guess what the hype is about. The UFC is all controlled here and you'll be very lucky if you're a fighter they're looking for to be in the UFC event.

The short of it is; many underground good fighters may never see a UFC octagon no matter how hard they fight; it's down to Dana White. Unfortunately they can't make the fame and fortune, but they'll always have the UFZ.

Example being the WWE taking over much of the wrestling leaving independent groups struggling to make money on cards. Fans will still go see these close events to root for the home town hero. You can't have it all. The promoter that knows how to put on a show, sanctioned or unsanctioned knows how to keep fighting matches alive.

So we can have the UFC here in Ontario and everyone can be happy, but the real fighters are the ones who've already been here doing the matches before the UFC even got here.

Not just the underground fighters, but independent wrestlers who have been dedicating their life to traveling from various towns across Ontario putting on shows for locals to come out and see.

With that said, if someone asked me to photograph a UFC or WWE and a GWN or AWF show was on at the same time I would always choose the latter two because the first two get enough hype and don't need me to help promote them.

Macy again.

As promised everyone,

What's up with the Macy Series? Well I'll tell you one certain thing; it will never have a shortage of material and eventually get finished to get online, but with all that's happened I haven't had enough time to work on it. With the holiday season approaching my time is even more limited.

For those patiently waiting, I assure you there's tons more Macy style excitement coming and as you know never a dull moment in the series. Macy is adapting to many different things throughout it all and serving as an example of many people you encounter daily. I think she brings different levels of society down to the same level and once you start to know her you learn from her.

In a way everyday life gets into the series and we get to see Macy deal with it her style which is always entertaining. Maybe sometimes we may not like her hard core manner, but it's our own society that built her that way and you can't help but feel it's justified.

Eventually you'll see her completely as I do in the series as time moves on; when she's legitimately one of the elite and no longer temporary in training you'll start to understand why she was chosen to be there and get her character entirely. Don't be fooled though, because she's still the Macy we know; only adapting to changes.

On a final note about the series; there will always be a person committing a crime or doing something needing justice and therefore the series couldn't end. There's plenty to write about and lot's of issues so it will be written.

JQ & Ethan
Greetings all,
The Nov 14th GWN show is done and I got caught shooting photos through the ring; lmao the ever so loved Danger Boy told all the new guys to look for me. I have until Feb next year to get in shape for candid photos again.
I'm still busy sorting through photos and video to make the 10 show video even though I am past that now. I finished putting the photos up at Facebook and finally got up a 2 year old video I did for Time Bomb.

Laughing again here because it took so long. I guess this indicates how long it takes for me to update things at this blog and there's my website still needing updating as well. I happen to have it so I can put it up here right away now that I've got it handy...so funny!

I am also working on the Christmas card photo and from the last GWN show I got my chiropractor card photo. I see him in Dec right in time to get it to him. This was the photo I picked to use on the card...kind of fitting for a chiropractor. This particular match made me wish my chiropractor could see it so he could tell me his thoughts on Danger Boy's spine!

Unfortunately I don't have any holiday year poetry going yet. I like to write a seasonal poem about the year for me and include it with cards. I hope to get them going soon. I also would like to add them here. I could do one for the year on Twitter too if I get the chance; definitely one for wrestling. I don't spend much time sitting in front the computer online; I suppose because I spend most of it on photos and writing...oh right the Macy Series. Well unfortunately my time is up here so I'll have to write about it next time.

Of course I egg on @BeNsOnIX (Dave) by giving him crazy antics to do. I asked him why Tony always gets him in these videos like this sundae one...

...and finally he got him back with porridge!

I hope you think it's as crazy and funny as I do because I still enjoy watching these you tube vids they do.

I will defiantly get the links and post more of their antics here when I can, but you must check them out at You Tube because there's more. @BeNsOnIX can give you any new links, Dave is friendly and funny as well as kind. Tony isn't on twitter as much, but he is also very nice. My pals from the UK are the coolest I've met on Twitter.

A turn of events

Wow,

My mom took ill this month and I have been super busy.

I was busy burning GWN DVD's of all the shows and hoping to get a 10 show video going with all the material, but things got hectic quick.

I have the Apocalypse Wrestling DVD ready, but the Halloween show was cancelled! Not that I have time now or am able to do anything for the holdiay.

The GWN show in Nov was changed to a earlier date and I am getting my sister to cover for me at home so I can go out of town for the show.

Things have settled down, but I am still busy, I doubt I will have any Halloween photos...lol not that I get time to post any here.

Fall Brawl

Hey everyone

The Sept GWN card is done and I still have photos to post here for you.

Inside the cage or outside the cage the action was wild and it was pretty crazy all around with fans screaming. It was a huge ending with Igor doing as he said and sitting in the ring to get his head shaved.

Yes I was in the middle of the cage capturing the action where part of Igor's head got shaved, but then had to get ALL of it shaved off. Well you can see he didn't like that and the ref Dave got a little threatening. It was only a bit scarry for me because they closed that cage door after I got inside to take the photos...I didn't feel like trying to climb out of there with my camera if things got too hairy! Threatening or not I did keep clicking away and took some video with my camera too and in all I got a lot of good action in the ring.

I also had Danger Boy, Big Mic Blackwell and Don O'Shea along with the ring announcer and ref there so it wasn't that scarry. I think it was worth it because I never would've gotten the last photo and it's one of my favorites.

Thanks for a great show and inviting me to come in and get these photos, it was a great card and I am pleased with the results of the photos. So many air photos and action shots.

Don't know what I am doing for Halloween but if I take photos I will eventually get them up here. I have been contemplating what I'll be doing and I do have a lot of cool effect equipment to get a really good costume together since I did that grim reaper one. It's the one time of year where it PAYS to be UGLY!

Nov is the last GWN card of the year and another Love For Ethan card. Hope to get back here and post some more.

I wish I had more time to post!

August GWN show

Hi all,

Just a quick note that I enjoyed the GWN show and these Love For Ethan charity cards are just the greatest accomplishments in wrestling history.

Ethan is a trooper that comes out to the card and meets all the wrestlers.

It never ceases to amaze me that every time I go to one of these wrestling events that there is some kind of charity going on. There are some really nice wrestlers that will personally take the time to come out and meet the children and make the effort.

Danger Boy is one of the kindest and it isn't any surprise that photographing isn't just a job for me when it comes to Danger Boy because I truly enjoy getting as many photos as I can of him meeting and greeting all the fans. I think he's one of the best I've encountered in a long time that goes out of his way to sign autographs and take photos as well as try to fill every request.

I know that there are many well known people in the world that do the same thing, but they should ALL take a lesson from Danger Boy and be as graceful, patient and courteous to all the people who come up to them for autographs. I know that sometimes there are a few strange stalkers or crazy people that will come out and do things, but for every photograph I've taken of a smiling fan and Danger Boy, I think it's worth doing a excellent job. Way to go Danger Boy.

I will continue to voice and show my support to those wrestlers dedicated like Danger Boy and others. I will also likely be getting more photos of them than others because of their gracious acts of kindness outside the ring...so other wrestlers let this be a hint to you.

Onto another subject I an still writing, but I am thinking of doing a special GWN 10th card video with all my material in the near 2 years I have been with them. So between the photos and writing I have been as busy as ever.

I will update with a few photos when I can.

Hi all,
Let's see, I have been writing Macy Series #7 Return Home and still taking wrestling photos.
It's coming to nearly 2 years with the wrestling group GWN and there have been some changes. Some wrestlers have been around a long time and no longer are active, but are now managers like Igor.

Although we always like some wrestlers to keep active in the wrestling world we also must expect them to slow down and eventually retire. Fortunately they stay in the business either promoting, managing, training etc. Some get tired of it completely and walk away.

I can't tell you how many have gone since I started in wrestling, but it happens and some times there are choices of walking away for good. Those are the wrestlers I've known that just stay out of it completely without ever coming back...not even in a few years to do a manager gig or even a quick appearance.

We'll miss them, but the ones that can't ever come back we remember the most.
So although I am busy I am taking a moment to leave a blog to those that won't return to the wrestling world.

Here it is another long while before I have been here and although I have not been working, I have been very busy helping various people do things. That's another blog though, this one is long due in coming.

I'm talking about someone I've known for a long while now, but never taken the time to mention which is quite long over due.

Rip Impact

The very first time I met him was at a wrestling card at the Studio in Hamilton. Along with a few other wrestlers, he was one of the first to come up and introduce himself to me. I was also quickly added over on Facebook even though I hadn't any photos of him wrestling up that I deemed anywhere near as worthy as the one to the left.

I enjoyed every match he wrestled including the one on that first card, and all his other matches that I've seen. Check the video above for some clips of his match. Let me tell you, the fast moving, quick wrestling, matches are the absolute biggest challenge to photograph or video. They go way too fast for most to keep up you really need a huge knowledge of wrestling holds and moves to anticipate what is coming next. For the record, I've never been told what's choreographed in any wrestling event I've attended, it's all experience on holds and moves and ringside savvy that's gotten me these photos and videos.

You'll have noticed in the photos tape across his arm with the words "Owen" written on them. The date taken was May 24th 2009, if anyone remembers Owen Hart they will get the connection. In fact it takes a lot of wrestling knowledge to know that Rip Impact wrestled a lot like the late Owen Hart complete with the "Sharpshooter" that Bret Hart used before Owen took it and used it nearer to the end of his life.

That's precisely what Rip Impact did in his match which was essentially a tribute to Owen in all aspects that I could see. It ended up that he lost the final match on that day, but that's wrestling for you. Yet another long blog I could get into about what not to do as a promoter as I've watched many try and fail, or try and succeed.

Staying on topic though, I not only wanted to mention Rip Impact for the wrestling skills, but also the dedication to the wrestling world that I find can be rare with wrestlers. Over the years that I've seen him around in the independent wrestling world I've observed all his help to each of the cards in various manners. Whether it's helping to take apart a ring, or ensure something was running right, Rip was always on hand there doing something.

It's that kind of dedication that I truly love to see in the wrestling world and this is long time in coming for Rip Impact because I could clearly see that from the start he was one of those wrestlers that deserved a lot of recognition in the wrestling world.

It should also be mentioned that somewhere throughout the matches I've taken photos of him at that he also found a way around towards my camera to get some good photos such as the one to the left. Maybe he knows just how difficult it is to shoot a fast moving wrestler in the ring and was giving me a photo opportunity like I was a paparazzi in Hollywood, but personally I know he's a nice guy and would simply stand there just so I could get the photo.

Not many wrestlers will acknowledge the camera when I'm busy around the ring taking photos and I don't know if they realize that sometimes angles just don't line up so nicely to get a great photo opportunity. In fact during one entrance I was recently filming of a lady wrestler, she turned and her hair swung across her face rendering the photo absolutely useless. A true wrestler that knows the photographers are right there taking photos would make that one moment count rather than turn around suddenly to look back at someone. Wait for the photo, then turn to look at whatever has caught your attention.

Several of Rip's entrances I've caught, but the last one he came in way too fast for me to catch him. The lighting was also dark; you can tell by the video at the top of this blog as this is the wrestling card I am referring to.

I am pleased with several of his photos from that card though. It all went down so fast I don't know if I was chasing him getting the photos or he simply stopped for the ones I got. (See photo to the left for an example) Regardless, it takes a lot of ring presence to get where people are and what they are doing. You're covering a huge area of space with a big immovable ring in the middle of it looking for the best vantage points to shoot photos from.

I believe that wrestling photographers are pretty much a wrestler's best friend in the wrestling world because we capture the permanent images that will remain in the world forever and it's something that generations of fans will treasure. It's a piece of wrestling history etched in time for youngsters to look at. When you get a good wrestler like Rip at ringside it makes you want to capture all that moment for everyone to keep looking at years from now.

Think back a moment to the wrestler you remembered the most that was just before your time. The one that you wished you could have seen that match. You'll have heard about how they were with fans and people at ringside and think 'he was great'.

The photographers and video camera people that trailed those guys around are the ones you're thanking for being able to see what it was like back then. If not for them, there would only be a memory.

Now we're here in the present where friends, family and fans of Rip Impact are looking at these images and video thinking about how great the match was and how good a wrestler he is. Years from now those memories are still alive and well because I was able to get those moments. How could I possibly not give the long due credit here to Rip Impact that he truly deserves.

A winner that match, a lot of applause. It's all there in the photos to keep treasured for eternity. In my world where lighting and flares are constantly problems, it makes these kinds of photos very worthwhile to take.

Hi again everyone,
I was looking around for more wrestling groups to go out and photograph and found a lot in my area. So many at so many times...some conflicting with others. So I may or may not attend, but whatever the decision I know I will be updating it here.

I have a point to the may or may not attend too. Some of these groups are farther away or charge admission at the door that as a photographer, first time shooting I don't know if they will want this fee. It would simply cost me to travel and get in just to get some photos. I know I do it for my own reasons, but it doesn't help if the wrestling is mediocre.

What I like about attending these new cards is the ability to expand my friendship in the wrestling world and meet new people. There are some cards that I actually have seen some of the wrestlers; one of which is a nice guy and friend on Facebook. Unfortunately there are some wrestlers I'm not too keen on and one of those will be on one of the cards.

I don't mind travelling out to Hamilton, Ontario to attend some of these cards. I know the area very well to get to them; Hamilton is a quiet city to me. A day trip is all it takes to realize I am away from home; even with the wrestling.

Perhaps I should explain...Toronto=excitement you can't go a block without something going on. Car horns/alarms, emergency vehicles sirens, road rage, crazy people, fights, vandalism or crimes, arguments, etc. All occur almost all day, every day. So one trip out to a wrestling card in Brantford the most exciting part of the trip was the way the conductor on Via Rail came up asking me, "Do you know about my hammers?" He was talking about the emergency exit windows where you get those hammers and break through the glass. Did you not know that, you would find that odd to the point of humor. Hamilton I rarely encounter any kind of excitement until the wrestling.

So when I eventually return to my city I know I am there and usually get a "welcome back" honk or whatever. My problem with leaving for these cards is the immediate boredom that strikes for lack of something to observe during the journey. The last trip out to Hamilton I made my own fun by "Tweeting" my trip. I took photos along the way and posted the journey; most exciting part? The key tag for the women's washroom in a Tim Horton's. The thing was the size of a text book! I posted it on twitter, I had to. The thing was the size of the calazone from Kitchen Nightmares.

I know I am going to get off topic here, but I could just picture Gordon Ramsay's face if he saw this thing during an inspection of this Tim Horton's. I was laughing the entire time thinking of these things right after I saw this key tag. Can you picture someone trying to steal this thing? It wouldn't fit in a pocket, but would look obvious in a bag. Of course following that I'm thinking about Macy and the character of Chris Dellar AKA "Hulk" I can think of a billion funny lines I could give them if they came across this key tag.

Before I really get off topic here, my point to this was about if I would encounter another funny or interesting thing during the time I go and shoot these shows? I would suppose it's a chance everyone has to take in life and you'll never know if you don't try.

Hello readers,

I had a feeling things would get busier and I wouldn't have much time to update. Wit the upcoming British Isles Show I have even less time. I decided to take care of the important things and the things that were holding me back.

The show is really what I want to blog about today because usually it gets prepared every year, year round. This is a big anniversary for the show...two Coronation Street stars are coming, Becky and Shawn.

For me it means deciding on what I want to wear with much more precise decision because this would not only mean meeting a lot of people and looking nice, but also being in front of cameras.

The back drop isn't so bad for the show, but that red carpet! I pretty much blended in one year with a red top. Then there is the rest of the show where you need to be in comfortable clothes to walk around in. There are many vendors and navigating for the first hour is usually crucial.

The stage show I also like to get to various great photo opportunity spots to take some pictures. For the most part the show has the same lay out as always, but sometimes a vendor or two move somewhere else.

I still have yet to get a camera card ready for the show, I have plenty, but haven't gotten one clear of photos. I simply have to back up and burn to DVD, but that alone takes some time.

There are many other litte things that need to be prepared for, but I don't want to go on about it here now.

I mostly try to get onto my Twitter account and tweet what I am doing, so I will likely be updating more there first.

Hello people,
Again thanks for taking time to read me and now onto the topic of my blog. Whenever I get working and don't have any "fun" during the work I tend to bottle all that up until the next time I can have fun. This of course in turn is sort of like shaking a soda bottle a little bit at a time until the top flies off and a chain reaction of events occur.
No matter how hard I try I know I will eventually make up for this lost fun time. Of course this comes at the expense of those around me. Those are the people not really aware of this that don't know better to keep me busy before I get into something I shouldn't be in.
So here's the reason behind the title for this blog. Usually when I am so busy working all I have time to do is just think. I get all these neat little ideas and make note of them for later. Then later comes and I unleash them all driving everyone absolutely bonkers.
So that is what I have been doing, thinking up all these things and waiting until I'm not busy to have fun. At least some of it will go into my writing, but the rest I put aside for those boring times.
A good example is when I travel out of my city to take photos at the wrestling cards, and the cards themselves.
The point is, it is better to be able to release some fun from time to time because if it builds up too high usually someone gets the brunt of a big gag.

Always something entertaining going on, always up to something, even when it looks like I'm not.

Hello again,
It's always a mad dash everywhere on a weekend, but this one isn't as crazy. For a change I thought I'd write about my usual Saturday friend Barry. He's been working as a contractor in the neighborhood for a long time, but also an avid sports fan with sports cards and memorabilia for sale on the weekends.
I've known Barry for a long time now and I have mentioned him at my website's blog. Barry can make anyone laugh; together we can be trouble. The most amount of victims of our jokes are all the people that come into the sports card shop. The rest are anywhere else we've ventured; which have been several places.
Barry was helping me seal(okay seel) the driveway of my parents house and of course we needed materials. I can't tell anyone enough times that if they don't want me to touch anything inside a store they shouldn't take me. To me stores have things for sale that you should be able to look at...even if it's NOT what you're going in there to buy.
To be honest I know better, why do you think I stopped regularly visiting Toys R Us unless I really need to go for something?
Barry has often made fun of the things I do in the store and I usually take it all in stride making a joke back. For example he says, "I have to hold your hand when we go into stores or I'll lose you." I replied, "That wouldn't work, you'd wind up holding a glove and I'd be gone."
He's actually quite lucky we didn't go into a Toy's R Us because he'd never find me in there. So why am I mentioning all this...because the store he most recalls is Canadian Tire (Crappy Tire most people call it)You're all wondering what on Earth could I possibly get up to inside a home and hardware place?

Barry, "What are you doing with that oar?"
Me, "I always wanted to stick my oar in something!"

I like testing sporting goods things, it's the closest I'll get to a team so why not? I get intrigued by the way things work and how they're used. Just like the web and all the links and things you can do here. I have a big imagination and these things tend to feed it.

Tools are even better, everyone wants to test them before buying. If they don't want you to touch it, they wrap it in plastic. If it's not wrapped up like a mummy then go ahead and try it out. Of course I draw the line on testing out anything hygienically used. They have "testers" for lip gloss etc, but I wouldn't try them.

My reason for mentioning that is this cool collapsible dolly that I was testing out in the store. They had one on display all set up so I wanted to try it out. Of course Barry thought I was playing with it. I was seriously busy trying to imagine what I would cart in it and if it would hold up. I didn't get it, but eventually I got this nice neon pink "Granny cart" to carry items in. It has this beautiful waterproof cover and has been quite useful to roll things home in.

Anyway usually Barry and I have breakfast on Saturday mornings before the shop, sometimes we eat in, other times we take it out. Now to the point of this blog and that is that Barry might be going out of the sports card business and the fun will come to an end soon.

I hope I have left you readers with something to think about today as I always know some things can come to an unexpected end. Some pleasant, others not so pleasant, regardless always live in the moment with spirit and imagination; true life. You'll never regret it and always have fond memories.

Hello again,
I had so much information and interaction from Twitter that I hope I can get it all in here today. First I started chatting with @Bensonix across the pond. He told me about a "bad" neighbor, but things seem to be okay. I mention him because he looked very familiar to me; I swear I saw him at the British Isles Show here in Canada, but he said no. He is a fun twitter friend and I hope readers follow him.
Then I came across a follower @paulbritphoto Paul who made me a shorter link to this blog and became a follower of it. You would think photography would have been the initial discussion, but I was educated on how to make the link.

That is the little link maker as I call it. It shortens your links for you so that they aren't longer than one of my books. At this site you have to sign up and you can have it directly linked to Twitter if you wish. Once there you have to ensure your computer's "cookies" remember you. After that get the site page of your blog/domain etc and put it into the bit.ly link maker. It gives you a shorter link to whatever blog/domain address you entered.

I was told by @paulbritphoto Paul that by making my own I could track the number of clicks the above link would get. I am not exactly that far into this blog to start tracking it just yet, but it is handy to know.

The last thing I want to mention is a friend of mine Peter who I often see at the library. He is originally from Britain where his mother still lives. I believe we first got chatting over British pensions as he is a pensioner and I came into contact with some great advisors at the British Isles show. I hadn't seen Peter in a long time and was glad to run into him and hear his mom (in her 90's) was doing fine back home. With the upcoming British Isles Show in April I had been thinking about him and his mom. It's so odd how these things all happen around the same time. All is good so I am good.

It's times when you are the most busiest...

Hello everyone,

The official Desiree Doucette here again with yet another blog. Sometimes when I get busy, it seems everyone else wants me too. I often wonder when it is slow why then didn't they need me? I juggle quite a lot from time to time, but mostly I like my writing time. My lack of blogging will attest to the fact that I don't get much time to do online writing.

For today I thought I'd write a bit about my novels and the writing I work on or complete. I don't get much time to post what I go through when I am in the middle of a Macy Series, or simply writing one of my novels. I barely even mention the wrestling book that I did.

What goes on with me? Okay here is the Macy Series thought process. It's always about the characters and what they are to me. For example Macy herself is a lot like me in various ways. I try to be good to everyone, I don't think that I should be above, but equal to people unless they excel at something I don't. I respect those that are better in those areas and those with age and wisdom of life. I don't like disrespect and I wish I wasn't so kind and more like Macy and tell these rude, ignorant people to just "shut the f**k up" I try not to swear and usually don't need to use any violence. Macy has it all though and I love how she stands up for people, for the community. She protects them and just shows people she is who she is.

Mostly when I am writing Macy and what she is doing, I am thinking about all those people that are getting treated so badly and the justice. Sometimes wherever I am writing I actually see these things happen and it inspires me to write a stronger point. While I am writing I tend to think of other things Macy should "say" or "do" so I make a note of it. I keep a Macy Series journal that lists all the characters from A-Z, the series by order, a brief synopsis and then things I want to add to the series.

Other characters I have other things I like to think about. Each one is as complex as Macy, I write a brief bit about them in my Macy Series journal to keep me reminded of these things. I also add some of their most familiar "quotes" and where they said them. For example Chris Dellar "Hulk". I still like to recall his first encounter with Macy she says “You look very familiar; didn't you used to be green?” Chris who doesn't really resemble the Hulk, replies “No you must be getting me mixed up with my brother he’s The Incredible Dork.” You get the first sense that he's just a great big laid back guy who is cool with just about anything as long as it's good. At the same time you get the no nonsense, blunt Macy all in one meeting. From that point on she dubs him "Hulk" and he pretty much just goes with it. It's that atmosphere that I continue to write in whenever they meet, which is most of the time.

The atmosphere with the big drug dealer and club owner Benny Marrow and his right hand henchman Nicky Barnwell is also a continuous one. Macy the same no nonsense, blunt woman and they the tough, but cool guys. Again Macy using her bluntness in the start of the series sets the pace...

Nicky proudly displayed a huge set of knuckles that were painted black. The four dark circles made Macy grin, “What did you do to get those? Kill a four eyed raccoon?”

There are times when I see things and can't help but blurt out whatever I am thinking. Sometimes they aren't for the best, but in Macy's case it really doesn't matter because people are cool with her regardless of where she goes.

So there you have it, a nice inside look at what I see within my writing of the Macy Series. I really hope it enlightened you all and I appreciate you taking the time to read me.

Hey everyone,

It's Desiree Doucette here again with my next blog. I had intended to make a blog about myself as in things I have done, people I have met and so on, but I got into this test. I was using Uber Twitter and got on the computer to blog logging into the website. Twitter vs Uber and the test began.

It started where I finally got to see clearer avatars of the people I was tweeting with. Some of those tiny ones on my phone via Uber were so odd looking, but if you know me well enough, you know I don't discriminate. I'll tell you though, some of those photos in the avatars were like those optical illusion paintings. You think you're seeing one thing and it turns out totally different.

The twit pic feature is used differently here. In Uber you get to see the photo and comment right away. I should know as I used my Uber to check out how my photos looked on the site. It turned some of my photos to the side.

On Twitter you leave the page, go to Twitpic and have to log in again over there to leave a comment, but you can view the photo. You don't see it in the webstream.

So the comparison went on until finally I realized Uber re-tweets posts much faster and auto refreshed the webstream faster than the actual Twitter web.

No wonder Uber has all those upgrades to my phone.

Posting photos if you're simply using a home computer I guess would be as easy as an upload. I can't seem to find anywhere on the Twitter web stream page that says you can upload to the stream. I finally find it on the Twitpic site where you have to log in again to upload it into the webstream. I never would have thought to go there if @Bensonix hadn't posted photos of his new cute kitten and I clicked the link to look.

I guess if I mention my new tweet friend I should add some others here too that have been helpful and truly wonderful. @joecamel0711 helped me with creating lists for the tweeters too famous to bother following you back. I slowly managed to make lists via his help @joecamel0711 gave me some patient guidance getting me started on my lists. I currently have 86 listed and unfollowed those people to make room for others. I also did a mass un-follow and lost about 300 people who weren't following me back.

My next mention is of @BlondeTXGoddess courtesy of her I learned about Twitter jail and more about what I had to do. While her husband went on a new "Promise to FB" list to wait for me to get room to follow she shouted out to her friends I needed followers. I really needed to get to a computer to mass unfollow, so this was very kind.

I cannot go without mentioning, @bethowen_am who showed me how to make all those neat ☞☛☯symbols and characters to add to your posts to make them look cool. I actually copied and pasted his original and used it as well as RT his post.

Well that is my time for this blog today. I hope that I have reached someone with it somewhere. Helping by this information and giving you all something interesting to read.
