The Farmer Asks the Pope about the Sabbath

Dear Friends,

A number of years ago, a farmer sent a letter to the pope, inquiring about the Bible Sabbath. The letter was sent to Chicago for reply. There are many similar verifications of the facts regarding this subject. Years ago people spoke more directly with much less subtleness. The letters from the farmer to the pope and the reply speak clearly and directly to the truth and facts. Here are both letters:

Dear Sir:

Is the accusation true, that Protestants accuse you of: They say you changed the Seventh Day Sabbath to the, so-called, Christian Sunday: identical with the First-Day of the Week. If so when did you make the change, and by what authority?

Dear Sir:

Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts:

(1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them in the eyes of every thinking man.

1. To render useless or ineffectual; cripple.
2. To cause to appear stupid, inconsistent, or ridiculous.
3. Law. To allege or prove insane and so not legally responsible.

(2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church instituted by Christ, to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the Ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept the change of the Sabbath to the Sunday. We frankly say, "Yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday Abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of the Catholic marriages, and a thousand other laws."

(3) We also say that of all Protestants, the Seventh-day Sabbath observers are the only group that reason correctly and are consistent with their teachings. It is always somewhat laughable to see the Protestant Churches, in pulpit and legislature, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in the Bible.

By Rome's own statement, very few people are keeping God's 4th COMMANDMENT - for only a few are keeping God's Bible Sabbath. The (Roman Catholic) Church changed the observance of the Sabbath to Sunday by right of "the divine, infallible authority of the Vatican Pope."

"Every week over a billion people testify to the world their obedience to the pope and disobedience to God. Over a billion people every week testify to the world that they prefer to obey the traditions of the pope which make the COMMANDMENTS of God of NONE effect. Every week over a billion people reject the SIGN which God gives to His people and embrase the SIGN of being people of the pope. The Protestant claiming the Bible to be the only guide of faith, has no warrant for observing Sunday."

Exo 20:8-10 8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Heb 4:4-9 4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: 7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Jesus and His apostles NEVER spoke of another day. The pope did. Jesus Christ, who is the I AM, who wrote those 10 COMMANDMENTS in Stone for Moses, and on His people's heart by His Holy Spirit of TRUTH, never spoke of another day. The pope did. Jesus Christ IS the SAME yesterday, today, and forever. The Word of God does NOT change the Commandments of God. Popes and perversion version profane bibles change what God has said. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. To the pope and all pope followers the Word of God still says:

Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
James 2:10-11 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.

The time has come to totally adhere to God's Word. We have two choices:

To go to Heaven.
To go to Hell. (that sounds so evil...well, it is!)

We either do what God has said in His more sure Word, or what man says in his blasphemous manner as it has always been. The following is some hard truth to take in - but it MUST be God's way, or our way. Only God's way will take us to Heaven.

We need a little more depth in understanding, NOW, why Yeshua said in Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

It was the "church fathers" who established religion to destroy THE FAITH of The Lord Jesus Christ. In fact, it was the Roman Pope who put Mohammed in the religion business, to "kill people of the book" as the Koran of Islam calls Jews, and REAL Commandment KEEPING Christians. It is the religious perversions of the "church fathers" that are responsible for all of the blood shed by the martyrs for THE FAITH through history. The global laws are NOW in place, to give this new pope full force to bring about the great fulfillment of this prophecy of the Lord Jesus Christ in John 16:2-3. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. It should be no wonder why Islam, the religion to "Kill people of the Book," has been the favored religion of the antichrist, and global elitists in these last days.

The term "pope" is a Greek word meaning "father." Yeshua says - "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." (Matt 23:9) Call no man on earth father in the spiritual sense of the word. Why are priests in many religions called father? It is a direct contradiction of a COMMAND of the Lord Yeshua. Calling the pope, Holy Father, is almost blasphemous if one were to really think what Holy Father means, as Yeshua taught His disciples. God is our spiritual Father, for He is the only one who is able to forgive our sins. Only His Spirit can and will convict us of our sins. We are made new creatures, part of the family of God, by the grace, and the finished work, of our Savior Yeshua, THE Messiah. The only true Holy Father is the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua. The Holy Father, pope title, is somewhere in the range from disgrace to blasphemy.

A disciple of Messiah is a disciplined one. A few characteristics of a "disciplined one in Messiah":
- He READS His Word.
- He HEARS His Word.
- He DOES His Word.
- All true disciples have the keys of doctrine AND discipline.
- Their doctrine comes only from the scripture.
- Only the scripture orders their lives.
- Their lives show what is acceptable to God, AND what is not acceptable to God, according to the scriptures.

The Catholic Church admits to the Sabbath being Saturday, NOT SUNDAY!

There is NO, zero, zip, nada, biblical grounds anywhere in the KJV Holy Bible for the pope's changing of the 4th Commandment, or doing away with any of the 10 Commandments of God's Royal Law of Love, Life, and Liberty.

Even the Roman Catholic Church likes to demonstrate their sound bible scholarship on that PARTICULAR issue using the bible to make this point over, and over, and over. Rome's bible scholars love to prove that the authority of the Pope, and not ANY scripture, is the basis of Sunday assembly and/or worship. The following Roman Catholic quotes will illustrate the PRIDE that the Roman Catholic Church takes in the obeisance that many Protestant Churches pay to Rome and the Pope every Sunday.

Roman Catholic Quotes Affirming that particular Bible FACT and TRUTH:

"No such law in the Bible "Nowhere in the bible do we find that Jesus or the apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races!!!

Allah or Jesus?

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their belief systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:

"Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr.Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!"

The Imam was speechless.

I continued, "I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

I think everyone in the US should be required to read this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized by standard media.

Q: In Genesis 1:28, God talks about man subduing the earth and having dominion over it. What exactly does that mean?

A: Many people feel that subduing the earth means to “conquer” it. But the Hebrew word used means to “study and understand” the earth.

God was instructing Adam to study all of life and understand how He made it work. It was like God telling Adam to go to school and learn the sciences, including such areas as botany, zoology, chemistry and ecology. Adam had the task to learn about every aspect of God’s creation, not just to lay back and take life easy.

With the knowledge that Adam was to have learned, he was then to have taken dominion over the earth. This meant that he was to be a good steward of all of the resources on the earth and not abuse them.

Like Adam, we’re also to subdue the earth—but this doesn’t mean we’re to let the earth have dominion over us. Let’s be reminded that we’re to use the earth’s resources for man’s good and God’s glory, understanding from Genesis that sin and the Judgment of the Curse have drastically affected our world. Thus, it’ll require hard work on our part!

Salmon gives evidence of a Creator!

A: When you think about it, scientists have to spend millions of dollars to invent very complicated computer systems to produce a guided missile. And these missiles don’t always hit their target.

But the Pacific salmon have a built-in guidance system that must make these same scientists drool with envy.

Research indicates that salmon are able to use the earth’s magnetic field, the position of the sun, moon and stars, along with the ability to detect the chemical composition of the stream from which they began their life. All this to enable salmon to return to their native stream to spawn!

How could evolutionary scientists be so blind? The salmon’s remarkable achievements, especially its amazing ability to navigate great distances with perfect accuracy, is impossible to explain as a result of purposeless and unguided evolution.

New Testament...Are we to Forget the Old???

A: Ken Ham once spoke to a pastor who proudly proclaimed that his church was a New Testament church. He said that he didn’t have to worry about the Old Testament.

Ken asked him, “Pastor, do you believe in marriage?” “Why yes,” he replied. “Why do you believe in marriage?” Ken asked. “Because Paul talks about marriage in the New Testament,” he said. “Well that’s interesting,” Ken said, “because when Paul talks about marriage, such as in Ephesians, he goes back to Genesis to give the foundation for marriage.”

Then Ken asked, “Do you believe in original sin?” “Why yes,” he said. “Well that’s interesting,” Ken went on. “In 1 Corinthians 15 where Paul is writing about the message of Jesus on the Cross and His death and Resurrection, he goes back to Genesis to justify why Jesus died on the cross.” Ken continued, “It’s all very well to be a New Testament church, but you must realize that all of the New Testament is based in the Old Testament, and ultimately all of this is founded in Genesis 1–11.”

The first eleven chapters of the Bible are the key to understanding the rest of Scripture. This is how we can fully understand the meaning of New Testament doctrine!

We see the entire world choked in the thorns of the cares of this life. None of them are important. They are all going to pass away. The Word of God will not pass away. When the stuff of this world does pass away, the only thing that will have mattered is whether or not we had a personal relationship with God the Father, through His Son Yeshua. AND whether or not you were a light to others and helped bring others into the knowledge of the truth. Bringing glory to God, and pleasing God, is not self-seeking.

I tremble with fear at times. Not fear of man. Not fear of the fearful things coming upon this earth. I tremble in fear of walking in rebellion and walking out of His perfect will. I fear walking away from the safety and security of being UNDER the authority to which He has called or positioned me. Jesus teaches us NOT to fear anything or anyone but God. He told us not to fear the one who can take your life, BUT fear Him who after taking your life can cast your soul into everlasting torment.

If fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, then the love of the Lord must be the completion of it. WE BETTER NOT GET THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE ON THIS ONE. God is God. Yeshua defined that for us by saying if you love Me, keep My commandments.

God is God. That little three word sentence, can tell us much about Faith and the relation of Faith to authority. It tells us much about how the faithful remnant body of Messiah will be brought together in UNITY of the Spirit of Truth, by the Word of God. Alleluia!

IF ONE HAS ANY UNDERSTANDING OF AUTHORITY WE MUST KNOW THAT BEING UNDER AUTHORITY COMES FIRST.

Do you understand how much better and more important it is to be UNDER authority than it is to be IN authority? No one should be IN authority if they have not proven themselves FIRST to be UNDER authority. In FACT, you cannot be IN authority if you are not UNDER authority. God is God. To strive to be IN authority rather than to be UNDER authority is to be walking in REBELLION and not faith. That is why rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. People who understand authority ALWAYS prefer to be UNDER authority. But they also know, that they have been given authority to overcome ALL the power of the enemy. The people of God, walk in FAITH, not rebellion. They walk ALWAYS UNDER authority and are ready to exercise the positional authority they have been given IN Messiah. People of faith KNOW that they must, at times, exercise authority, yet they remain under authority, because, "God is God."

The reconciliation and uniting of the body of Messiah will come through the understanding of our POSITIONAL AUTHORITY in the body of Christ. We need better understanding of the intercession of our Savior that allows us to be counted as children of the living God and joint heirs with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Understanding the greatness of the privilege to come BOLDLY unto the throne of grace to find grace and help in time of need. We must LEARN and firm up the foundation of the Fear of GOD. We THEN seek the understanding of who we are IN Him. The POSITIONAL AUTHORITY we have IN Him. Alleluia! That is what "in the Name of" really is all about, POSITIONAL AUTHORITY. To me that "In The Name of" Jesus, "In The Name of" Yahweh, "In The Name of" Yeshua, is the key to it all, and it is very sad so few understand it.

America wants God's blessing?

Real true Christians are unpopular folks today. I mean by that, anyone who takes SERIOUSLY biblical truth and biblical principles, will find himself reviled. If we dare speak the truth in the midst of today's national crisis, you will need boiler-plate rhinoceros hide.

America has all of a sudden gotten very religious. Great prayer meetings where all gods and all faiths are welcome are in vogue. People who had not said "God", except in profanity, for years are all of the sudden getting religious. The 911 terror attack has turned things upside-down in many ways. Woe to those who think this new religiosity is a reason for rejoicing for Christians. You MUST understand that it most surely is not.

The US issues statement after statement that it is not at war with Islam. Bush praises the god of Islam and claims the god of Islam is the same as the God of the Christians! Such a statement could only be the statement of a liar or Luciferian, because Presidents and Popes can not possibly be so ignorant. Bush continues to insist the war is not against Islam and that it is only at war against terrorism. All terrorism?

But no matter how often Bush and company repeat their mantras, the most simple minded people on the planet KNOW, that Islam IS at war with "the Great Satan". This is the message that is preached in a million mosques every Friday. Is it any wonder the most active terrorists in the world today are Muslim?

We do know the pope and president tells us Islam's god is the same as the God of the Christians. We do know the pope and the president kisses the Koran and/or brings Muslims into the Whitehouse for Ramadan. We do know the pope tells us to pray to Mary like he does. Knowing all of this, the problem should still be easily seen: Christians believe, that there is one true God, and not even the pope and the president can say otherwise. This terrorizes the new American religious spirit controlled masses.

Islamic terrorism now unites most nations of Islam against America and Israel. This is not because of what we have done, or what we do, but simply because Israel is in the promised land of Israel, and the god of Islam can not allow any Muslim to have a moment's peace in their soul with the existence of Israel. Every Jew and Christian, people of the book as the Koran calls us, are RELIGIOUSLY HATED.

"All Muslims are religiously bound by a duty to KILL us. That is the religion of the moon god of Islam. That is what the Koran teaches those poor demonically bound people of Islam."

How dare Bush give the credibility status of the Holy Bible to that satanic Koran book!

The REMNANT is the FEW who will cry out against this foolishness. Real Christians cannot withhold the truth about sin and judgment out of fear of man's opinions. That is precisely what makes the Cross of Jesus Christ of no effect. In the American religious spirit, there is no Cross. There is no sacrifice, where there is no sin. The religious spirit has no offense that demands forgiveness to be found through His perfect sacrifice! Not to speak of sin and judgment to "win" a person over is unfaithfulness to the gospel itself! To what has such a person been won over? Where is the gospel when there is no sin to be forgiven at Calvary? But it is right here that the new American religious spirit stops its ears and refuses to hear.

America wants God's blessing? We want God to be near us? We want Him to protect us from the horror? We want Him to guide our military and allow us to flex our muscle and launch our missiles with impunity? We want a blessing and caring God who simply caters to our wants and desires. We want a god to gratify our lusts. This is the "God" of the American religious spirit.But what America does not want is a God who is holy, who is just, and who has revealed His will concerning how we, His creatures, are to live.

America is covered with the innocent blood of abortions. We glory in violence. We are so selfish, so bound in covetousness, greed, fornication, and sexual lust. The religious spirit of America will rationalize the murder of our own offspring! Lighting candles with blood stained hands and selfish unrepentant hearts will not move the One True Living Almighty God. Almighty God does not move because political and religious hypocrites sing "God Bless America."

The religion of pseudo science, and vain philosophy, and evolution are American government policy. There is no creator, we are told, to express His law for us in the first place. That is the government policy of the new American religious spirit. God and His law are not allowed in court rooms, our school rooms, or any public institution. God's Royal Law is not even found in the Churches, for we are under grace, right? If God says it is wrong, the new American spirit in the government AND the churches celebrate it! Every form of sexual perversion is found in the land. The mass media exalt fornication and adultery. Homosexuality is not only turned into an acceptable "lifestyle," it is made politically correct! By the new American religious spirit it is even blessed. Sodomy is a test for being properly "tolerant."

I do not know whether to cry or scream. I MUST tell you that the time for national repentance is PAST. I must tell you America is bound by the religious spirit. People like Bush, who claim to be Christians, and stick a knife in the back of Israel, is what will bring Romans 1:18 to pass in America SOON.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

I am to tell you that PERSONAL repentance is all that is left. There will be no revivals. There will be FEW to be saved.

Isaiah 3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. 11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. 13 The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.

I am to say it will be well for the righteous. Are you righteous?

BY WHOSE STANDARDS?

Religious liberals may mock. I say, "rage on and fill up your cup!" The Bible says their foot will slip in due time. Call me unpatriotic, ignorant, and judgmental. I did not write the Bible, but I KNOW Who did. The God, who cannot lie, in His Holy Bible, teaches these things are sins which MUST, inevitably, bring God's judgment upon a people.

I WILL NOT SUPPRESS THE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF GOD.

This is not a popularity contest. This is the "Great God Contest" of all time where choosing between eternal life or eternal hell hang in the balance of making the right choices. Choose ye this day whom ye will serve.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Can Faith Alone Save you?

What is Faith? The Bible says that: Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

And James says that Faith alone cannot save you... Jam 2:14 What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

So what am I saying? Weren't we all taught that "IF" we believe that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself as the perfect and final sin offering that we could have a chance to enter into Heaven? Yes! That is part of what I'm saying. But I'm not the only one saying this. GOD said in His infallible Word:

Jam 2:17-18 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

So Faith "ALONE" DOES NOT save us! What does this mean? Well, what does the Word say?

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

God calls us liars when we DO NOT "KEEPETH HIS COMMANDMENTS". So are we to deny His word? We are taught also: James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

What happens to liars according to God's Word? Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

What do we do then as Christians who truly Love Christ and want to do what He TRULY said? Read the Word the way that we were commanded by God:

"...Precept upon precept...line upon line..." If we are to TRULY know what "Thus saith the Lord...", then we need to read His Word - COVER TO COVER, FROM GENESIS 1:1 TO REVELATION 22:21. The rest is the responsibility of the Holy Ghost:

John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

In Conclusion to this brief, but powerful message, Faith is two-fold. First, believing the FACT that Christ was crucified and given as the perfect and Final Sin Offering to give all that "believe" the gift of eternal life. Second, to act upon that belief, therefore, solidifying your faith - i.e. "Faith without works is dead" - so that our faith is not simply believing a fact and then do nothing to show your love to God. - i.e. "If you love me, Keep my commandments."

May God give us the spiritual eyes to see the TRUTH. AMEN.

Saved by grace...but then what?

Justified by the blood? Better check your walk with Christ first... I found perfect scriptures to fight those that say, "I'm justified by the blood. I can't lose my salvation if I wanted to." That is such a backwards statement AND an Oxymoron. You can sin just like before you were saved. The difference between the two is written here:

Gal 2:17 But IF, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, [is] therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Gal 2:18 For IF I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

We make ourselves transgressors. So IT IS possible to sin after being saved and we must NOT make ourselves transgressors.

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
