HIDE SCRAPS FROM FRIENDS! ORKUT SCRAPBOOK TRICK!

Orkut privacy feature allows someone to lock scraps from strangers, but there is no official way to lock and hide scraps from your friends. If you have got something personal in yourscrapbook or simply want to hide scraps from your friends, you can now do this by using anotherOrkut feature. Well, you won’t be able to hide all your scraps or entire scrapbook from yourfriends, just a limited no of scraps (though there is no specified limit). We will use Orkut spamfeature to hide scraps from our friends.

Orkut spam filter is designed to filter all spam looking scraps (scraps with rich text, HTML tag, flash contents, external links, external images etc) and send them to the spam box associated with your profile. This spam box is visible to you only. Now if you intentionally mark a scrap as spam and move it to the spam box, that will get hidden to all of your friends and the scrap will be visible to you only.

Trick to Hide Orkut Scraps from Friends

Navigate to your Orkut scrapbook.
Select the scrap that you want to hide from friends.
Click on report spam button to move that scrap to your spam box.
Now that scrap will be visible to you only and none of your friends can see it.
You are done.

If you want to see that scrap, simply click on spam link. You can find it on the left sidebar of yourOrkut profile and it looks like this:

I know that it’s not the perfect solution, however, since Orkut is not providing any official solution to this, you can follow this trick to hide Orkut scraps from friends. Do you know that you can also hide Orkut album photos from friends!

Send Anonymous Scraps, Hiding Your Name on orkut

Sending anonymous scraps on Orkut is a pretty fun trick. You can send scraps to your friends, write whatever you want in that scrap, but your friend will not be able to catch you. Your friendeven won’t be able to drop a reply to that scrap sender also. This trick is known as anonymousscrap trick. Play this Orkut prank with your friends and surprise them.

To post anonymous scraps and hide your identity on orkut, follow the below steps.

Go to www.orkut.com and open a new account. (Use any email ID to get registered)
Sign in to your orkut profile with your new email and password.
Write scraps and post in your friend’s scrapbook. You can post scraps in as many scrapbooks as you like.
When you are done with scrap writing, it’s time to make them anonymous.
Navigate to your Orkut profile’s Settings >> General >> My Account >>Delete my Orkut Account >> Delete Account to delete your Orkut profile. (Remember that you are deleting your newly created account, your original account is safe, don’t worry!)
Now after the deletion of your Orkut profile, the scraps you sent and the scrap sender both will be marked as anonymous.
You are done.

No one will be able to catch you ever until & unless you share this secret with them. Your scraps in your friend’s scrapbook will have no orkut profile associated with this. This is the anonymousscraps trick by hiding your name and profile.source-darkorkut.com
