Here's why the words online bullying are an oxymoron:

When you're actually being bullied, it's in person.

When you're actually being bullied, you can't always ignore the person/people.

When you're online, the person isn't actually near you.

When you're online, you can ignore and/or block the person who is being mean to you.

When you're online, you can simply go offline, and the person/people being mean to you no longer have any access to you.

You can't be bullied on the internet unless you choose to be. Even if somebody makes all kinds of accounts to try and harass you, you can still ignore and/or block them. There are all kinds of tools and options at your disposal when you're online, to keep the unwanted people away from you. If you can't see it, and you can't hear it, then how can it possibly hurt you? I understand if someone is trying to ruin your reputation where you work. If that is the case, then you have the ability to take legal action to get them to stop. But if Susie Whatsherface is telling everyone that you've got a big butt or that you're ugly, are you really going to cry online bullying? Are you that much of a child?

Look, this world is not nice. This world is not fair. If you expect to be treated nicely everywhere you go, then you're only setting yourself up for disappointment. Nobody owes you anything that you're not willing to work and/or fight to earn. I have nothing but a snarky comment and a chesire grin on my face for people who want to claim that they're being bullied online. Why? Because I find nothing funnier than someone who volunteers to be a victim, and then tries to blame it on other people.

The feminist movement is rife with hypocrisy. They're fighting so hard to get women to be equal to men, yet they still want to be treated like women. Look, ladies, you can't have it both ways. You cannot say that you want to be equal to men, then ask to be treated like a woman. That's not a reasonable or logical expectation to have. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

If a feminist wants to be treated like a man, then she should expect that any reason that would give someone cause to hit a man, should also be a valid reason to hit a woman. If you still want to be treated like a woman, then stop trying to insist on being treated like a man. I don't mind if you just want equal pay for equal work. I don't even mind that you get the same rights as men in the workplace. But when you want to be treated like a man in every area, then you've got some serious mental problems, one of which is severe penis envy. Perhaps you might just want to admit that you really want to be a man, and go get yourself a nice little sex change.

All feminism aside, there are times when a woman should be hit by a man. Here are a couple of scenario examples:

A woman is threatening a child. Her husband has no weapon at hand, and can't get to a phone. The only option this man has to save his child is to cause her physical harm. If he isn't willing to hit a woman to save the life of his child, then, in my opinion, he isn't a real man, and is a failure as a father.

A woman walks up to a man who didn't do anything to her, and she kicks him in his crotch. Since she felt it necessary to walk up to a man like a man would, she should expect to be hit like a man would.

There are times when it's right and appropriate to hit a woman. Hitting a woman during these moments does not make a man less of a man.

Women ought to remember that any and all rights that they have, were given to them by men. Women should also remember that the genders are different for a reason. Men ought to remember that if a woman wants to be treated like a lady, she has to earn it, by behaving like a lady. Men should also remember that if they want a good woman, they better behave like a good, respectable, honorable, strong and wise man.

As a whole, religion is where the majority of irony and hypocrisy happens in humanity. That is because most people don't want any honesty with their religion. They only want to focus on the parts of their religion that makes them feel good and like they're the ones with the right religion. They tend to gloss over the parts of their religion that isn't so shiny and pretty.

Among Christians, there is a mindset that 'God = Love'. These kinds of Christians are being dishonest about what their own religious document teaches them about their god. Here are a couple examples, as told by scripture, which debunks the belief that the bible god is love:

Isaiah 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

Malachi: 1:2-3 "I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness."

In their hypocrisy, these Christians will say that these were the righteous actions of a righteous God, who owes no explanation or justification to anyone. A leader always owes an explanation and a justification for his actions to those who follow them. If they will offer neither, they are a tyrant. Tyrants aren't loving. They only love power, and do not care who they have to step over, walk on, or destroy, to gain and/or keep their power.

These Christians also claim that 'Jesus = Love'. I again offer scripture which describes someone who is not the embodiment of love:

Matthew 10:33-35 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law."

A loving person does not employ a sword. A loving person does not seek to cause strife in a family. A loving person wants there to be peace on earth. What then, shall the reasonable and logical mind think of the Jesus that uses a sword, causes strife in a family, and doesn't strive to bring peace on earth?

I'm not here to try and rip away someone's religion. If that's what gives them a sense of purpose in their lives, then they are free to keep it. All I'm asking is for you to have some honesty in your religion, and be able to admit it's not all the 'sunshine and flowers' that you make it out to be.

Footnote: All scriptures are from the King James Version and were found over at BilbleGateway.

Please come in, I have a table waiting for you. Today I will be serving a light appetizer of humorous irony. Now, sometimes what I find to be ironic, might not strike the same chord in others. So, if you don't find this ironic, don't worry your little head. I won't take it personally.

It occurs to me that some people really don't think things through when they come up with an advertising idea. One amusing example is this lovely image:

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone is illiterate, wouldn't they be incapable of reading this sign?

It's just something to mull over.

I hope you enjoyed your appetizer today. Please come back tomorrow and I'll have something a bit more substantial to offer.
