Today's card is another CASE from the Chattanooga Regional - I think it was Shannon West's card?? This card is a great way to use up your DSP scraps! I think the Floral District is my favorite DSP - I just love the bright colors.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Today's card is a CASE of a card demonstrated by Bonnie Thurber at the Chattanooga Regional. I love the impact the DSP makes peeking through the Framelits window on the front of the card. And don't throw away that cut-out! Use it for your writing space on the inside of the card!:

How genius is that?!? What a cool way to dress up the outside and the inside of a card by lining it with DSP - I just love the effect.

I am WAY behind in sending birthday cards this year - to the tune of birthdays going back to June!!! Oops! We found out we were expecting our first baby in June and everything else got put to the side as we celebrated the news :). So, this card was just what I needed to get caught up on birthday cards! I am finally getting caught up and it feels good! Hence all the blog posts lately :).

Thanks for stopping by today!

Today's card is my 5th anniversary card to my hubby. We celebrated our anniversary on August 18th and then took a wonderful trip to Savannah, Tybee Island, and Hilton Head. Hard to imagine it's been 5 years!

I love clean and simple masculine cards. This one was easy to put together using several layers of Framelits cut-outs. And you gotta love the Memorable Moments set for milestone celebrations - or any celebration for that matter!

I'll leave you with a baby bump picture of me at 16 weeks along. I'm actually 20 weeks along, but haven't taken an updated photo yet! Thanks for stopping by today - have a great day!

Today's birthday card is a clean, simple, and fun birthday card. I used the Petite Pennants Builder punch to create the party hats and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch to create a trim for the hats. The pom-pom on the top of the hats was created using the little 4-petal flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I just used my Paper Snips to cut a slit in each petal and then smooshed (sp?) them around my Simply Scored Stylus to give a pom-pom feel :).
Thanks for stopping by today!
Today's card is a 60th birthday card for my father-in-law. I love the Memorable Moments set for milestone birthdays and anniversaries! And the added bonus is it coordinates with the Labels Collection Framelits. The Stamp-A-Ma-Jig makes personalizing cards with this set a breeze.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a restful weekend!
Today's card is a wedding card I made for a college friend of mine. I created the card based on her invitation colors of black and silver. The sentiment is heat-embossed with silver layered over a background of silver glimmer paper. To add a little more bling, I punched out a small heart with red glimmer paper.
I have news to share with you in today's post!! My husband Bryan and I are expecting our first baby, due February 16th, 2013 :). We waited until we reached the 2nd trimester before we told our families, and, of course, I had to do something creative to share the news with them. Since Baby DiMatteo is due February 16th, I decided to go with a Valentine's Day theme to throw them off a little ;).

First, I made a 3" x 3" pizza box. Here's a great tutorial for making your own pizza box. It's great for giving gifts!

Then, I found an adorable poem online and tweaked it a little for each family member based on their relationship with the baby. I adhered the poem to the inside, top lid of the pizza box. Here's the poem (author unknown):

I do not have a face to see,
Or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss.
I don’t yet have a name.

You can’t yet hold my tiny hands,
Nor whisper in my ear.
It’s still too soon to sing a song,
Or cuddle me so near.

But all will change come February 16th;
When my parents say I’m due.
I am your new grandson or granddaughter;
And I can’t wait to meet you!

All I ask between now and then
Is your patience while I grow.
I promise I’ll be worth the wait;
Because of all the love we’ll know!

So what I have to give you now,
Is a wish to you from me.
I cannot wait to be a part
Of this wonderful family!

And finally, I've started getting into embroidery with my new embroidery machine, so I made this adorable onesie using a pattern I found online for a pregnancy announcement.

We couldn't be more excited! I'm halfway through the pregnancy and we're having a girl!!! She's going to be my little papercrafting helper - I just know it. Needless to say, I've been neglecting my blog a little bit, but I'm still here and I've got more cards to share with you over the next week or so :).

Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you have any questions!

Here's my 2012 Convention Swap card - all wrapped in a plastic sleeve and ready to hand out. I made 100 of these and received some amazing cards in return! I'll highlight my favorites in a future post :).

I created the ribbon using the chevron pattern from the Summer Smooches DSP. I cut the strips using my Tabletop Paper Cutter, then used my 1" Square Punch to punch out the bird's beak end. Each layer is popped up by Stampin' Dimensionals® and the background is textured with the Stripes Textured Impressions ™embossing folder.

Today's birthday card is a bright one! I love this color combination together for summertime. The flowers were made with the Blossom Punch. For each flower, I punched out 2 blossoms and, using my bone folder, broke down the fibers and split each punch-out into 2 to give it some texture. All 4 pieces are held together with a glimmer brad and then scrunched up for some dimension. The sentiment is embossed using Tangerine Tango embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Today's card is a fun, country-style card - or at least that's what came to mind when I finished it! I didn't really have a plan in mind before I started this card - just wanted to use some of my new products and try out our fabulous new firm foam ink pads - I'm a huge fan of them! They give you such a clean, crisp image without a lot of elbow to do so - I will for sure be replacing my ink pads with these new ones!

Today's card is a CASE (copy and share everything) of this card by Maureen Merritt. I love all the cards on her blog, so please go check her out!

For the base of my card, I used Naturals White - I like using a heavier cardstock than Whisper White - it gives the card more strength. I could stare at this card for hours - I just love the design of it! Wouldn't you love to get a thank you card like this in the mail? :)

Hope you're having a great day - thanks for visiting!
How cool is this card?!? It's a fancy-fold box in a card! Technically, it doesn't hold anything, but when you open it, it opens like a box. Check out Frenchie Martin's blog here for a video tutorial on how to make this fun card.

Today's card has a fun element to it - a ribbon flower pin! I found this website with tutorials on making a variety of ribbon flowers.
Once I completed my flower, I sewed on a button, adhered the flower to a small circle of felt,
sewed a pin to the back of it and attached it to the card (see picture
below).

The backdrop of the card is from our Lattice Bigz Die. Isn't this a fun birthday card? It's a card and gift in one! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

Today's card is a very clean and simple masculine birthday card. I chose some cool-colored cardstock for the layers and jazzed up the top layer with some ink and texture. To do this, I cut my cardstock to size, inked the raised side of my Stripes embossing folder with Pool Party ink, and placed the cardstock in the embossing folder at an angle to create diagonal stripes. Pretty cool effect, huh?

Hope you all have a wonderful day today and thanks for stopping by!
Today's card is a CASE of a card by Kathleen Hopperstad. It uses a technique called "VersaShadow" - you can find a great video tutorial by Erin Gonzales here. It has such a cool effect!

Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend - I was super busy in my craft room this weekend sewing, embroidering, jewelry-making, and, of course, paper-crafting! I have quite a few cards lined up to share with you, so stay tuned!
Today's card is my version of another one of my pins on Pinterest using Stampin' Up!® supplies:). This was my first attempt at sewing on a card. I love the effect, however, please don't look too closely at the photo ;). I am a beginner!!

I punched out all the circles using my 3/4" Circle Punch from the Everyday Enchantment DSP (Sale-A-Bration) and adhered them to the card using a 2-Way Glue Pen. Then I zipped the card through my sewing machine. The sentiment is stamped on a sliver of Very Vanilla and I created the "bird's beak" edge using the 1" Square Punch - who knew!

I hope you enjoyed today's card and it inspires you to try sewing on your next card! Thanks for stopping by!
Today's card is inspired by one of my pins on Pinterest! The color scheme comes from my Vera Bradley bag that I carry my laptop in - the pattern is "Sittin' on a Tree" :). For the sentiment, I created my own using words from Fabulous Phrases and I added a period at the end of each word using my Stampin' Markers. Of course fabulous = bling, so I added rhinestones to the center of each doily. The card is finished off with some Lucky Limeade Everyday Enchantment Organdy ribbon.

Here are the dimensions of the 3 panels:
4" x 1.5"
4" x 1.5"
4" x 2"

They're all popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals® on a card base of Naturals White. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by today!
Today's card is a sweet Valentine I whipped up in a few minutes. The three-dimensional heart is made using 6 Full Heart punch-outs - 5 of which are scored and folded in half and glued together on top of the 6th heart which is flat on the bottom. The heart is surrounded by a cut-out using our new Hearts Framelits Dies.

I haven't busted out any Real Red recently - it is such a divine color! And I love the sentiment - "for everything you are to me" - perfect for that special someone :). I finished off the card with an embossed trim of hearts and a beautiful knot with that yummy satin ribbon of ours!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Oops! I forgot to share this card with you back in October! This was my swap card for the Birmingham Stampin' Up!® Regional. The Regional was awesome! Lots of great ideas both from the presenters and all the wonderful swap cards I received! And to top it off - my card swap from Convention was on one of the Display Boards! I was so surprised and excited to see it on display!

The color combo for this card came from our Color Coach® - Sahara Sand, Poppy Parade, and Not Quite Navy - love the combo!

This was the first card I made using our fabulous Designer Frames Embossing Folders. I first embossed the card stock, then punched out the center with the Extra-Large Oval Punch. That layer was popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals® on a card base of Sahara Sand.

Using a clear-mount stamp set (Friendly Phrases) I stamped the sentiment inside the oval frame. The card was finished off with a punch-out from the Doily Triple Layer Punch, a sweet knot in Poppy Parade and a Basic Rhinestone Jewel to make the sentiment sparkle.

I had a few extras and they've been wonderful for quick thank you notes when I need them :). What do you think?
Today's card is a quick and easy, clean and simple, masculine birthday card! I just purchased the Extra-Large Tag punch and had this idea in my head to do a masculine card using a pattern with both sizes of the tag punches. This was a pretty easy card to put together - I tied the ribbon first and then adhered the punched pieces with Stampin' Dimensionals®, so I could position the ribbon knot in the center of the punch pattern. What do you think? What I love about cards like this is you can add any sentiment you want to! And the Well Worn Designer Series Paper makes masculine cards a breeze :).

Thanks for stopping by today!
Today's card was inspired by Erica Cerwin at Pink Buckaroo Designs! She's created a great video that shows you how to do this herringbone technique. Also, she did something really cool with our Stitched-Poly Ribbon that I would have never thought of! If you trim off the white edge of the ribbon, you can pull out the fibers for a really cool bow. On my card I used both the fibers I pulled out for the bow and what was leftover to add a fringe border to my heart!

Isn't this Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper to die for? And the coordinating brad? They both could be yours for free during Sale-A-Bration - one free product for every $50 you spend :).

Today's card is a wedding card for my brother, Greg, and his beautiful wife, Anne! They were married back in September, but I just now made their wedding card - oops!

The idea for this card came from the fabulous Dawn Griffith! Here's a link to her tutorial on how to make this card, which includes a video.

This card is folded just like you would fold a box top to keep it from opening. I added a ribbon to dress it up :). My dimensions are different from Dawn's to fit one of our Medium Square Envelopes:

Back Layer - 5-1/4" x 5-1/4"
Folded Layers - 10" x 5" - scored at 2-1/2" and 7-1/2"
Inside Layers - 4-3/4" x 4-3/4" and 4-1/2" x 4-1/2"

I chose to use Elegant Eggplant as it is the closest Stampin' Up! color to Anne & Greg's wedding color :). It was a beautiful wedding and I was so happy to be a part of it! Here's a photo of the fun and fabulous wedding party (that's me on the far left):
