Time is just flying by. I haven’t been very diligent in keeping the blog updated. Brea just turned 8 months yesterday and I still haven’t even updated her 7 month photos. We have been busy with getting a new piano, getting Halloween costumes ready, having people come stay, new callings, and just the regular everyday stuff that goes on.

Here is a sneak peek at Brea’s Halloween costume. You will have to wait on all the other kids’ attire.

Brea is crawling like a normal baby now. No more army crawls for this little mover. She also stands up on anything she can pull herself up onto. Kinda dangerous in Mommies eyes.

Brea rolled over for real on June 23, 2011. This is when all the fun begins.
Brea ate her first baby food on Sunday August 14, 2011 She had some applesauce. I don't know how well she liked it but she caught on fast! :)
Brea cut her first tooth on August 20, 2011 It was 3 days past her 6 month mark.
She loves to jump, sit in her bumbo, stand in her tumbler, swing and be around her siblings. She rolls everywhere! I think she is going to crawl before she sit up on her own.

Dantzel was so excited to start 1st grade. She wanted her hair curly and wanted to wear her Hello Kitty shirt and bracelet with her jeans to match. She also had to wear her new shoes. I just love my little girl! Even if she likes to be independent. I think that is how I was as a kid. :)

My baby turned 6 months old yesterday. She is getting harder and harder to take pictures of. She tries to sit up by herself and cant quite do it alone. She is always moving. I know this is suppose to happened but, it is all happening too fast! At night she rolls so much that it is hard for her to even sleep. If she would just hold still. oh well! I will just enjoy all my time with my last little baby! :)

My cute little Dantzel it growing up. She is going to start the 1st grade. She is excited to meet her new teacher Mrs. Burton. They start school on August 29, 2011

Dantzel is my big helper. She is the peacemaker in our home. Everyone wants to be around my cute Dantzel girl. I hope she will continue to be the good girl that she is throughout her life.

Duncan turned 2 on June 24th. We had a fun day! Don't judge my cake/cupcake snake too harsh. I know this is something I really really need to work on. I should just buy their cakes because this is so embarrassing to me. Oh well, life goes on.

Duncan is very loved/spoiled. He received a Strider bike. All the kids love it! Watch out world! As soon as it cools off here Duncan is going to be zipping around everywhere on his cool ride. Until then he will ride in the house.Grandma and Grandpa Park sent down his gift early and it has been hiding. I was told not to touch it because it is very loud. I was thinking "oh great!" Grandparents always seem to get away with the annoying gifts. This toy is actually a great one. All the kids play with it too. It is a Toy Story 3 car toy. They actually kinda race down the spiral track. Kinda cool even for me I have to admit. :)

My Dear Sweet Duncan,
I just wanted to take a few minutes to write a some things down about your stage in life right now. You are always so fun to play with. You laugh at everything. We have been very blessed to have you in our home. You are one tough kid! Half the time I don't know where you have received all your bumps and bruises. I guess that's part of being a boy. Some other things you really like are:

swimming in the big backyard pool
sleeping with either mom or dad on your big bed
your blanket
teasing your older siblings
holding your baby sister
going on 4-wheeler rides (mostly with daddy)
you are daddy's little puppy dog
You are very smart and know which car is mommy's and which car is daddy's. you always get so excited when you see them even if you open the garage and see them
loves piggy back rides from his sissy (Dantzel)
Loves to be outside
Loves to play with his friend Ari. They are so cute together too
Loves to eat. You are always the first to the dinner table and last to leave.

Kinda funny but, you decided to throw your binky away on your birthday. This has been kinda hard during nap and night time. I am proud of you for deciding to be BIG. I think we will get through this hopefully soon. He hasn't even tried to take Brea's binky once. This was my big fear.
We are so happy that you are beginning to talk so we can understand what it is that you need or want.

We have had a lot happen and I have been horrible at keeping up at the blog. Here are a few things that have been going on since school got out for the summer

As you can see I was not very good at taking pictures. I have figured out the reason behind this. It is because:
1. I always have a kid in my arms. My camera almost take 2 hands it is kinda heavy.
2.I am always having so much fun with whoever we are with that I forget to get the camera out until it is too late
3. I am sure there are a lot of other reasons but, I don't want to be a complainer and so I will leave it at that!

So while I was on my week long vacation these are a few things we did:

Spent a few days/night with Jodi and Chris in Annabella (watched a lot of kids so they could tile their new house)
did a photo shoot for my sister (she breeds and sell mini/toy schnauzers)
went shopping at the District (JC Penny's is always fun) The kids and Brandon got a few clothes
delivered a puppy for my sister
had a Park family reunion and met some new cousins. Ramie adopted these 2 cute girls
spent some time at Dallas and Tim's house. They are always such great hosts
Let the kids ride bikes and play in the courtyard at Dallas's
Got together with some Family Friends
Went to the Church History Museum (the Kid part only) with Dallas, Tim & Family and also Matt & Jaxon
James had a sleepover with Jaxon (he had a blast)
James played Mario Cart with Jaxon and was entertained for hours
Visited Grandma and Grandpa Rice (Aunt Cindy came over to see baby)
Had dinner and games with Lynn and Richard and Family
Went and saw Shawn
Drove home in some wicked rain on Father's Day Sunday

These are just a few things we packed into our week long trip. Brandon joined us on Wednesday night late. I was trying to keep the kids away so he could study for his Brokers test. He is almost ready for that now with us being away! :)

I guess Brandon wanted new family pictures because all of the sudden he got the camera out. I LOVE being able to take photos ourselves. I am grateful for a husband who keeps me on my toes with photos shoots. I didn't even have to stress for a week about the clothes and if we matched perfect. I think we did pretty well considering I had no idea until the camera came out. We needed to update because we didn't have a family photo with sweet little Brea in it. We are a happy family of 6.

I have been so busy. Bottling apple pie filling, getting ready to bottle beets, squeezing oranges and drying apples. It has been a lot of work but very rewarding. I love teaching my kids to be healthy. I love that they get right up on the kitchen counter and help. I did this when I was a kid and I feel very blessed that I can try and teach my kids to help out in the kitchen.

Brea turned 3 months and I need to get these pictures posted because pretty soon she will be 4 months. I also went and got her little ears pierced. She got cute little diamonds. All the kids got to come and watch. I think Daddy was a little surprised to see that I actually took her and had them done. He thought they were the magnet earrings at first. He should know me better than that already. He said they were cute and so I knew I was OK.

Look real close and you can see her cute little earring. I also painted her fingernails. Its so fun having another girl around to play with. :)

We have had a lot of visitors. We love that we can open our doors for everyone. Family is very important to us. Spending time with them is so much fun!Emery, Tim and Dantzel

Brea's Baby Blessing

On May 1st Brea was Blessed. It was a very special day and I am grateful for everyone who came and supported us. Brea looked like a little princess. I think she slept almost all day. She fell asleep right before the blessing but Brandon said she was wide awake during the blessing and then as soon as the blessing was done she fell right back to sleep. She sure is a special little girl. :) Its amazing how much you can love all your kids.

Yes, I have been slacking. I am trying to keep up but some days it is impossible.

We had some visitors. Zach and Nikki's family came to good ol' Bunkerville and it was so good to see them. I took a few pictures of Ned and Brea but to be honest it was hard to keep sweet little Gwen away to snap a few shots. She needs a baby sister (hint hint Zach and Nikki). These babies look so different it is amazing to me that they are cousins.

My Sweet little Brea is growing like a weed! She is now 2 months old and I can't believe how she has changed. I can't imagine my life without her.

Dantzel has lost yet another tooth. I keep telling her to stop messing with her teeth or she will soon have none to eat with. Isn't she cute without her front teeth.

My kids are so fun. They are such good kids. I am so blessed to have them in my life.

I had surgery and this is what my eyes look like. Too bad its not October (Halloween).

My sister got married. I got word at 7:30 am on Friday and she was married by 10:00 that same day. I am glad my Dad invited me. I went only to support my good parents. I hope she is Happy!

Just found out this morning that Jaidyn and Jaicee are going to have a new step mommy. I am happy for them but also sad because they have been such a big part of our family. Hopefully we will be able to stay in contact with them.

Seems funny to me that so much can happen in such a short time. I hope to update soon cause this last break was just too long for me. Happy Monday everyone!

up and running

Brandon brought home a new computer as promised that Monday night. The only problem is, he didn't have it up and running with all my programs until later in the week. So I am up and running with a brand new computer. It is amazing how fast they are when you first get them.
This last week was a good one. We always have so much going on. Here are a few things that happen.

Brea had her x-ray done and it came back NORMAL. This was great news.
Brea hit the mile marker of turning 1 month old

Brea got to 8 lbs. I have been a little worried about her. She is like Dantzel was. She also had a pretty ruff start to life.
Brea started smiling when you talk to her. Love this stage. :)

Duncan started talking in sentences. He said "Daddy, what ya doing?" He had perfect tone is the key.

Dantzel had her first kindergarten field trip to the Moapa Zoo and she even held the Monkey that she was so scared of. It bit her the first time she held him.
I got to read a book "Promise Me" all in 2 days. With a ton of kids around, this is amazing for me. I can't wait until my other book comes in at the library. I love to read when nursing a baby. :)
James is still a big tease and it about puts mommy over the edge by the time daddy gets home. Thank goodness the neighbor girl has had him over to play 2 times this week. Those are the days I got my book read. :)
Brandon has been working long hard hours at work. I could be mad but, I'm not. I am just grateful he has work right now.
I have taken a lot of pictures lately but guess what? They are mostly of Baby so, that is what you get to see this week. Enjoy!

I really tried to post a picture of the field trip but, I couldn't save the picture from Facebook. My friend was the lucky parent who went with them.

Computer problems

My home computer died this past weekend. :(
I am trying to update more often and so I am on the lap top. No pictures with this post. :( Here are 10 different things that happened this past week.
1. On Saturday the kids were all out playing and Jaicee fell from the jungle gym and split her head open. It was a laceration split and it needed 5 stitches. It split all the way open clear through to the bone. Needless to say I had a feeling to go check on the kids and saw the whole things happen. We had a lot of blood. Thank goodness she is okay.
2. On Wednesday Dantzel and Duncan went to the new Quick Care here in Mesquite. Dantzel had an ear infection and is now on antibiotic. Duncan had bronchitis. He is now on children's sudafed. Both kids are doing better now. finally!!!
3. On Thursday James and Dantzel had a dentist appointment. They both got x-rays and a cleaning. They both have cavities too. We will be making another visit to the dentist to get them filled.
4. When we got home from the hospital I think Brea had caught a cold from the discharge nurse. She has had a lot of snot and a little congested. Poor little baby! She has had a rough start to life. She sure is a good baby though. We are very blessed!
5. We had company come (Amy and her sister Ashley) It was so fun having them come see us. The kids loved playing candy land. Amy brought it with her for them. :) She is always so thoughtful!
6. Duncan moved from sleeping in his crib to a big boy bed. He now sleeps on a full size bed. He totally loves it!!!
7. The kids have loved helping me weed the back yard. Kinda nice huh! I dig them up and the kids wait in line to pick them up and throw them over the fence into the field.
8. I took the training wheels off the little bike for James. Now he needs to learn how to ride without them. He will catch on fast!
9. I guess I can put that my home computer died. Brandon has now told me it is time to buy a new computer. I am sad but happy. Reasons for being sad are: I don't want to spend money on a new machine. I have a few other places I could put the money ie. Medical bills :( I am happy because my computer is going to be up to date for a little while and it is going to run super fast. :)
10. I have discovered my love for eating and cooking with onions has come to a halt. Brea has showed me that when I eat these yummy veggies I will pay for it. She doesn't cry she just barfs. When I say barfs I mean BARFS!!! I have had to shower 3 different times. So grouse! Brandon still thinks she is barfing because I am over feeding her when she eats. Yes, he is not happy about this either. :(

I hope this next week consists of spending more time outside in this fabulous weather.

2 week old in hospital=no fun!

3-4-2011

I am actually sitting in the Hospital with my brand new baby Brea. It all started the other night. She started to run a fever and so I took her into the Dr. Her 2 week appointment wasn’t scheduled until Friday (today) but because she is so little I decided to take her in. The Dr did a few tests: urine and a spinal tap test to see if we could see what was wrong there in the Dr Office. Well, turns out because she is so little they had to admit her into the hospital. I drove her over to the Hospital, and here we sit. This is the second night and I am hoping that we will be able to go home tomorrow. They ended up doing a lot of different blood work, and an ultrasound. The lab took 24 hours to get the blood tests back. It turns out that she has a Urinary Track Infection and turns out moved into her Kidneys. Thank goodness the infection didn’t get into her blood stream. The ultrasound showed that there wasn’t any fluid on her kidneys, so that was good. We just had to play the waiting game. In the mean time Brandon had to play Mr. Mom. He is such a good Dad! I am very blessed to have him as my husband and father to my children. Sorry, didn’t mean to get all mushy on you. :)

We are home and on antibiotics. In a week Brea goes in for ex-rays to make sure the infection all got cleared up. I'm not looking forward to this. We will get through it.

BREA PARK

We welcomed Brea into the world on:
February 17, 2011
Weight 7 lbs 6 oz
20 inches

The nurse almost had to deliver all by herself. It all happened so fast. We got the phone call from the nurse at about 6:45 am on Thursday the 17th. We got in the car and drove to the hospital.

The Birth Story (probably kinda boring for most but, I want the memory so here you have it)

We got all hooked up to the machines at about 10:00 UT time. Dr. Astle came in to check me and break my water but he ended up putting something on Brea's head. I don't remember what it was called but it had a metal wire that could be hooked up to the machine to track the babies heart rate and such. I was moving along and decided to get my epidural when I was dilated to a 3. My Mom and sister Jodi showed up as I was getting my epidural. When they came in it was fun to just visit and not have so many contractions to get in the way of our talking. My only problem was, my epidural only worked on the right side. It was kinda weird to only have my left side work.
It had been about an hour and a half and Brandon started getting antsy because it was reaching 4:00 and he was sure that I was going to deliver Brea by 3:30 or 4:00. The nurse was like I am going to go get a new IV and then I will check her. He didn't think that was a good idea and he was right. As soon as the the nurse put her glove on and checked me she was yelling for my Mom to hand her another glove and yelling for Jodi to push the nurses button. Brea's head was out and I almost delivered her on the bed. Dr. Astle got their and got to deliver Brea but, she already had her shoulders out. It was amazing how fast he got there. He didn't even put gloves on. He just pulled her out the rest of the way. I think the only reason he made it is because Brea had the cord around her neck. It was so tight that the nurse had to cut it before they could even clamp it off. This made the delivery a little more bloody.
I didn't have to push once with this delivery and it was kinda weird. You don't really hear of your husband and nurses telling you not to push when delivering a baby.
I am grateful for another healthy baby. So far she has been so fun to have around. She sleeps very well during the night and I hope it continues. Thanks for all our friends and family who have helped during this exciting time in our lives. A big thank you to my Mom and Sister Jodi for taking my kids so I could enjoy having another baby enter this world.

Flooding in Nevada

When we moved to Mesquite in 2004 I was so naive to the Flooding that could occur. In 2005 we lived in our Coyote Willows town home and it flooded and took out the golf course. They got it fixed up the best they could and had it up and running again in November 2008. We thought this was the 100 year flood. Well it is now December 2010 and we are having flooding problems again. I wish I could go help more but, being So far along with the last baby I am pretty much home bound. Sand bags are too heavy for a prego mommy.
Here are a few photos I took Yesterday. So sad to hear of so many people losing there homes to all this water. I think as of right now Beaver Dam has had a total of 4 house float down the Virgin River. I am not sure how many homes have been damaged to all the water. SO SAD! We will continue to keep everyone in our prayers!

Dantzel would not let me talk her into being anything but a hula girl. I know, she was this 3 years ago. She sure makes a cute hula girl though.

California Trip September 24th-October 3rd
We had such a good time on this trip. We started off by going to Ventura to Aunt Lauri and Uncle Jamie's house. They are so fun and great entertainers. Thanks guys!
We also went to the beach, Disneyland, Lego Land (2 times) and Brandon even got to take me to dinner without kids. Thanks to Lynn and Richard for coming with to help with the kids. The Timeshare ended up being a hit.

The other day we were in the car and Brandon was talking with Dantzel and all of the sudden Dantzel said Dad, remember when they sized me. Brandon was like what did you say??? And she said it again. Remember when they sized me. Then it clicked and I said do you mean measured you before you went on the ride at Legoland. She said yes, that was my favorite roller coaster. What a goofy kid!!!

GIRL

we are all excited. I think Dantzel is glowing she is so happy. We actually let Dantzel come to the ultrasound. I think she was a little disappointed in the quality of the pictures. I think she was thinking that the pictures were going to be as clear as all the pictures we take with our camera. Oh well, at least we gave her the experience.
Hopefully this baby will arrive on or not to far after her due date. With my record, she might not come until march. My actual due date is Feb 20th.
Oh I am taking name suggestions. I am throwing around a name or two but would like to hear what you all like. TIA for my Brother in law TIA=(Thanks in advance) :)

Brandon and I tied the knot. Look at how things can change and grow in such a short time. Dantzel is 5, James 3, Duncan 1 and little baby ? due in Feb. I am so excited I have eternity to go. Love you Babe! :)
