Here's something you don't see every day with classical music, especially something so entertaining. If I'm not mistaken, it sounds like Bach's Prelude in C which was a favorite from piano lessons many years ago.

Vänskä Conducts Strauss' Metamorphosen for Strings

noreply@blogger.com (Passion 4 Living) — Mon, 21 Sep 2020 05:41:00 +0000

Music Director Osmo Vänskä and 23 Minnesota Orchestra string musicians performed Richard Strauss’ Metamorphosen on September 12, 2020, as part of the first concert inside Orchestra Hall since mid-March, co-produced with TPT and Minnesota Public Radio. Listen to a selection from this powerful work.

As World War II came to a close, 80-year-old Strauss faced a deep, internal struggle surrounding his own career, his idealism, and despair for things lost. Metamorphosen is composed for 23 independent string voices that come together in a united river of sound, embodying this melancholy and soul-searching time.
