WHAT CHRISTIANS SHOULD LEARN FROM THE 2020 ELECTION

Many of us are extremely disappointed in the pending most probable outcome of the Presidential election. Though we may feel that the outcome was stolen by illegal votes mailed in by Democrats, our President is fighting the illegal activities through the courts and will hopefully prevail.

If, however, he does not prevail, though we may initially be personally disappointed and distraught over the results, though we may dread the aspect of having to live under a God-hating administration of basically evil people, we need NOT let that keep us in despair and discontent in our status. We must remember the lessons from God's word, which teaches us that ALL events in our lives are controlled completely by God. In Philippians 4:10-13, Paul writes that he has learned to be content in every situation.

Dr. Charles Stanley's sermon today in intouch.org speaks directly to this. Dr. Stanley’s four main points are as follows:

1. Remember that every event in our lives is controlled by God and is designed to make us more like Christ on this earth.
2. If we believe #1, then we must submit to God's control of the situation
3. In our submission, we must learn to trust God that this situation, in the long run, is what is best for us to conform us more to Christ.
4. We need to learn to draw instantly from God’s power given to us through the Holy Spirit to guide us through learning to be content in our circumstances and the lessons that God is teaching us through the circumstances.

This lesson caused me to step back and look at the election from a higher perspective. I remembered how God dealt with Israel all the times that nation forgot or intentionally turned its back on God, even after being rescued from four hundred years of enslavement to Egypt by God through His messenger Moses. Is America not in a situation very similar to how God treated Israel?

Has America’s government not turned its back on God as the establisher, sustainer, and protector of this nation?
Has America not instead become arrogant and conceited, believing that it does not need God anymore, or even worse, banning God from all public institutions and teaching that God does not exist?
Has America rejected the teaching of the Bible and, in fact, mocked and turned the truths of God in the Bible into objects of ridicule and condemnation; truths like adultery being a sin, homosexuality being an abomination, same-sex marriage being a sin?
Has America started worshiping false gods like fame, beauty, wealth, sex, drugs, adoration of self, and power, and turned its back onf the God of our founders, the Lord God, creator of the universe, the one true God?
Has America become a nation that sacrifices its unborn children to the God of “a woman’s choice”, or sexual freedom, the same way that Canaanites sacrificed their children to Moloch?

I believe most Christians would answer these questions with a definite “YES”. My personal beliefs say America as a nation has abandoned Christianity. Instead, we have become a nation led by hypocritical politicians, influenced by predominantly secular, misguided news organizations controlled by evil, misguided, narcissistic, brainwashed individuals who do not worship God and fear nothing but failure in the ratings races. We as Christians have sat by and done little to stem the tide of secular humanism that had been spreading through the nation for two generations. Now, our gullible, brainwashed youth are rebelling against us, against God, and against anything that the liberal left says they should rebel against.

My tendencies during this time are probably typical of most Christians. I rotate through spells of anger, frustration, rebellion, depression, sadness, resolve, and determination to fight back. I ask myself “how can so many people be so stupid?”. The soldier/warrior instinct surfaces; to quote my former fighter squadron patch’s slogan “Patience my a**, I’m gonna kill something”! Then that quiet inner voice of the Holy Spirit in me speaks up and reminds me that I made a choice a long time ago to let God be the Lord of my life; to control my thoughts so that they honor him, and I am broken again of my rage, my hate, my sadness, my dread, and I pray to my Savior for forgiveness, and for wisdom to honor Him in all I do.

Today, when I listened to Dr. Charles Stanley, I was reminded of how the Apostle Paul handled himself through the good times and the bad. His experiences taught him how to be content in every situation; abundance, poverty, freedom, abuse, or imprisonment, Paul learned to be content. I reflect back on the Israelites and how they had to learn to turn back to God when they strayed and were enslaved and persecuted, and I see the great analogy to America. It is America’s time to be humbled by God, and we Christians living in America well feel the impact of the chastisement along with those who brought it on us. America has to be chastised, and God will do so as He desires.

This is a lesson evident throughout the Bible. No matter whether we like it or not, God is in total control, and America will be chastised until it sees the error of its ways and returns to God as our Father, Protector, Disciplinarian, and Giver of good gifts. God will NOT allow it both ways. Will there be pain? Yes. Will there be trials? Yes. What do Christians do? We recognize and acknowledge that God is in total control of this situation. Though he may not have imposed it upon us, He definitely allowed it so that we might learn lessons from it that in the long run, conform us more towards Christ.

Finally, the question arises, “do we just stand by idly while all this evil occurs?” I believe that the Bible teaches us that we are to comply with the dictates of our leaders, but it does NOT teach that we should be silent. Daniel was not silent, and he used persuasion to convince his captors to allow him to each foods which did not violate God’s laws at the time. Paul went into the Temples and taught the Gospel regardless of the punishments he received. Virtually all the apostles suffered because of their refusal to stop preaching the Gospel of Christ. Therefore, I believe that it is our duty as Christians to unashamedly profess the truths of the Bible to anyone who will listen. It is our duty to point out lies from our leaders, the news media, and anyone who tries to convince people that God’s laws are not Holy, are from Divine inspiration, and that things like homosexuality, abortion, gay marriage, or persecution of Christians for speaking the truths of the Bible are wrong. I also believe that we need to continue to support our police, firemen, and military and speak against those who try to persecute them. We must stand for truth, justice, and God’s way in America while also being good citizens and obeying our elected leaders.

When David heard how the Phillistines were attacking and mocking God, he put on the whole armor of God and faced his enemy fearlessly because he knew the enemy was evil, and he believe God would deliver them into his hands, which he did. When we are attacked if we defend God, we do not have to stand by and let the evil harm us or our property. The law gives us the right to defend ourselves if attacked by lawless people or groups, and we should not be afraid to do so. It is my belief that we should at first try to convince them of the error of their ways according to God's laws, and we should pray for them, but if they persist with their intent to hurt us, our families, or our property, that we should exercise our right to stop them however it is required to attain that stoppage, using only the least amount of force as possible. I heard someone say that "we are in a war for the soul of our nation". I do not know who said it, but I do believe that is a completely accurate statement. We should not initiate any attacks, but we are perfectly within our rights as citizens, and I believe as a Christian, to defend ourselves and our properties against lawbrakers who are attacking us illegally.

To quote Dr. Charles Stanley, our duty is to obey God, and leave the consequences to Him. God bless America.

OPEN LETTER TO ALL U.S. SUPREME COURT JUSTICES: "SCOTUS HAS ABANDONED 'ORIGINAL INTENT' AS THE FOUNDERS INTENDED IT TO BE"

THIS IS AN OPEN LETTER TO THE SCOTUS Justices complaining about how over the last seventy years, they have abandoned their original role of interpreting laws according to the Original Intent of the writers of the laws, and yielded to social pressures.

The letter included numerous quotes from our founding fathers regarding the Bible and Religion and government. Those founding fathers would probably have shot or hung many of the justices that have been on the bench the last sixty or seventy years! Many of them should be or should have been impeached!

Dear Justices,

First, let it be known that I am publishing this letter on every social media site that I can, and am encouraging all my “friends” on social media to copy, print, and mail copies of this letter to every SCOTUS justice, just as I am. I am also asking every friend to share it with every one of their friends and that they also will print and mail this letter to SCOTUS. I am praying that America will flood the SCOTUS mailbox with sixty-plus million signed letters protesting and demanding change in SCOTUS’s behavior. I am also copying this letter along with a letter directly to the President, Speaker Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader McConnell, Senator Rand Paul, and my Representative, Democrat John A. Yarmuth, who does nothing but what Pelosi tells him he can do!

I am amazed at how well you “Justices” can sleep at night; especially the liberal members of the court. How do you sleep knowing that the rulings of your court and your predecessors have let to America now basically being a nation on the verge of another Civil war thanks to your dictates over the last seventy years?

I am amazed at how cowardly our legislators are, and why impeachment proceeding were not filed on those justices who were responsible for destroying the use of precedent rulings in their decision, and instead decided to yield to public pressure to adjust the Constitution’s original intent as written by the founders and ruled instead by societal pressures of the day.

The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States makes no caveats when it states “…Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” Federal, State and local governmental officials that set out to prevent citizens from exercising our Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms are behaving in an unlawful and unconstitutional fashion, and it is our duty to oppose and resist such behavior.

I think the term “prohibiting the free exercise thereof;” is self-explanatory! Neither SCOTUS, POTUS, Mayors, City Councils, City Managers, or anyone else that can be named has the right to prohibit a church’s right to worship as it sees fit according to its church doctrine. Citizens of the United States of America have a God-given right to worship their Creator however and whenever they see fit, and any Federal, State, or Local Governing body is constrained by this Amendment to the Constitution from interfering with that worship.

As a taxpayer I deeply resent the over-reach that has taken place in cities and towns across this nation during this pandemic. The persecution and tactics of state and local officials against those wishing to worship their creator as they see fit is a flagrant violation of the 1^st Amendment, and should be opposed with great vigor in situations where the Pastor, church governing boards, and members decide that they wish to meet in person. I am encouraging all to resist both legally and with protest any movement by the U.S. or State or local governments to stop those services.

As the 3^rd and smallest branch of the U.S. Federal Government, the SCOTUS is responsible to decide legal matters according to the U.S. Constitution. It is your jobs to protect and defend, and interpret the Constitutional issues based upon what the writers of that Constitution intended the pertinent articles of that Constitution to provide for the citizens. You have failed miserably for the most part in those decisions since the late 1940’s with the Brown versus Board of Education decision. What a ridiculous ruling that was! The majority of that ruling certainly caused the founders of our great nation to roll over in their graves and cry foul! One complaining parent does not want his child to have to pray because that parent is an atheist. So instead of allowing that student to be excused during the prayer, the entire class is prohibited from participating in that prayer? And can someone please explain to me how allowing a prayer is somehow establishing a national church, especially when something as simple as setting aside a room for children whose parents do not want them to hear a prayer is violating their civil rights? What kind of warped mind could conceive these ideas? Talk about over-reaching. The Pharisees and Sadducees in Jesus’s day would have been proud of that type of lunacy!

Where in the Constitution did it read that the government’s role was to protect citizens FROM religion? I do not see that anywhere! I see in the wording of that 1^st Amendment that the SCOTUS is prohibited from interfering with an act of worship anywhere and anytime. It is also obvious that the SCOTUS hearing the Brown case chose to ignore the wishes of our founders, which were readily available if they had done their homework. Had they looked, they would have found statements by John Adams in a letter to Thomas Jefferson said, “…The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were …the general principles of Christianity….Now I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God….I could therefore safely say, consistently with all my then and present information, that I believed they would never make discoveries in contradiction to those general principles.”

Or they could have referred to the Northwest Ordinance, which was used in the development of the 1^st Amendment, which said “Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, school and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.”

How about what our 2^nd President John Adams thought about religion being important to the country’s well-being: ““We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion….Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any others”

Here are numerous other quotes from founding fathers regarding the Bible in schools! OH, and by the way; SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE IS NOWHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION, and the way that it has been interpreted by SCOTUS is not what then President Jefferson intended when he wrote it to the Danbury Baptist. In fact, the correct interpretation is exactly the opposite of what SCOTUS has used; Jefferson was promising that government would NOT interfere in anyway with the way they practiced their religion. That is a phrase manipulated by liberal judges in to justify their banning prayer in the public schools and now virtually everywhere but inside church buildings and private homes!

The great enemy of the salvation of man, in my opinion, never invented a more effectual means of extirpating [extinguishing] Christianity from the world than by persuading mankind that it was improper to read the Bible at schools. [T]he Bible, when not read in schools, is seldom read in any subsequent period of life. . . . [It] should be read in our schools in preference to all other books from its containing the greatest portion of that kind of knowledge which is calculated to produce private and public temporal happiness.

By motivation directed straight out of the pits of hell, SCOTUS over the years has passed and reaffirmed laws which basically have accomplished exactly the opposite of what our founders intended for our new government’s relationship with Christianity to be!

Shame on the SCOTUS. Shame on even the new courts where politics have resulted in rulings which guarantee at least somewhere between two and three million innocent unborn children will be murdered and butchered by companies like Planned Parenthood because a woman’s control over her own body is deemed more important than a babies right to life! I am certainly glad that when I stand before God after my death, I will not have to answer for allowing genocide against American unborn children as many SCOTUS justices will have to do. I hope they-all enjoy burning sulfa bathes!

A BOOK THAT CHANGED MY LIFE AND OPENED MY EYES TO THE TRUTH ABOUT THE SCOTUS!

ORIGINAL INTENT: THE COURTS, THE CONSTITUTION, AND RELIGION

I have read this book through several times. The first time I read it was in 2002, and it literally changed my life. It is the source of much of the information I wrote/write about in my blogs and in my talks to young people and churches when I had my ministry "Broken Vessel Ministries" several years ago.

David Barton, the author, has a collection of over 70,000 documents that our founders wrote. He researched them and references them in this book as he details to the reader how America was founded, what the personalities and beliefs of the founders were, and what they intended for America to be. He contrasts that to what has happened since liberalism took a foothold in America, and the SCOTUS started systematically misinterpreting the US Constitution, either intentionally, or out of ignorance, and destroying the foundation of our nation's laws, and the original intent of the founders with regard to what America was to do to maintain God's blessings on our nation.

To me, the book is spellbinding. I wish every American with an open mind would read this book. If they would, many of them (everyone not a brainwashed liberal, that is!), would be infuriated at what the SCOTUS has done. There, at the foot of the SCOTUS justices, lies the root cause for why we have become such a divided and violent nation.

I highly recommend this book, and I have no financial interest with Wallbuilders at all! I simply believe this book to be essential reading for anyone who wants to see America great again!.

Letter to SCOTUS Justices re: Christianity as USA's Foundation

I wrote this letter yesterday and sent it to every US Supreme Court Justice and the President of the United States. We assume these Justices know everything about the law, but I wonder sometimes if maybe they only remember what they want. I wanted to remind them of their responsibilities to "..protect and defend..." the Constitution. They do not have the right to change it at their will by abandoning the principle the founders set up of interpreting it based on what the intent of the writers of the particular article(s) or amendments(s) that are applicable to the case they are deciding on were trying to accomplish when they wrote them, and the country adopted them.

Dear Justices,

As a retired U.S. Army Major who flew combat in Vietnam in the F4 Phantom II fighter-bomber (USAF), and commanded a transportation company in Operation Desert Storm (U.S. Army), I feel it necessary to express my concerns about the recent past history of the SCOTUS with regard to several Constitutional matters. I KNOW I have earned that right through fighting in combat to defend the freedoms we all enjoy. Most of you, however, have done nothing but study the law and practices in a courtroom where real life can be twisted, disguised, and bastardized to the point of completely obscuring the impact that the decisions that you have been a part of have on the rest of us who have to live by those decisions. I feel the Court has errored in the past and where subsequent Courts, following those errant opinions, have moved America down a path that is leading America to the point of either another civil war, or at best, a nation divided with no moral compass to guide it back from the brink of self-destruction.

The Brown vs Board of Education decision was a terrible ruling. It set a precedent which started a string of ridiculous lawsuits which have inevitably resulted in Christianity and any symbol of that religion being banned from the halls of government at the local, state and federal levels. That is NOT what the founders intended, and any of you that have studied the writings of the founders know that! All of you should know that America was colonized by religious refugees from England and other parts of Europe who fled here so that they could worship God as they pleased with NO government interference. That was the entire purpose of the First Amendment. Read the committee notes on the discussions of the wording of the 1^st Amendment. “August 15, 1789. Mr. [Peter] Sylvester [of New York] had some doubts…He feared it [the First Amendment] might be thought to have a tendency to abolish religion altogether…Mr. [Elbridge] Gerry [of Massachusetts] said it would read better if it was that “no religious doctrine shall be established by law.”…Mr. [James] Madison [of Virginia] said he apprehended the meaning of the words to be, that “Congress should not establish a religion, and enforce the legal observation of it by law.”…The State[s] seemed to entertain an opinion that under the clause of the Constitution…it enabled them [Congress] to make laws of such a nature as might…establish a national religion; to prevent these effects he presumed the amendment was intended…Mr. Madison thought if the word “national” was inserted before religion, it would satisfy the minds of the honorable gentlemen....He thought if the word “national” was introduced, it would point the amendment directly to the object it was intended to prevent”

Read what Justice Joseph Story wrote about the purpose of the 1st Amendment’s clause:

“Probably, at the time of the adoption of The Constitution, and of the Amendment to it now under consideration, the general, If not the universal, sentiment in America was that Christianity ought to receive encouragement from The State…An attempt to level all religions and to make it a matter of state policy to hold all in utter Indifference would have created universal disapprobation [disapproval] if not universal indignation [anger].” On another occasion, in his “Commentaries”, he wrote, “The real object of the [First Amendment] was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sect”

Clearly, the founders intended that Christianity was the predominant religion in this nation; not any one sect or denomination of Christianity, but clearly the principles and guidelines for behavior as outlined in the New Testament and in the Ten Commandments were to be the foundation for our laws as a nation. Our founders did NOT believe that Christianity should be viewed legally on the same level as every other religion. The founders and the majority of the people of the nation viewed the principles of Christianity as foundation for our governmental policies. This is clearly stated by the founders. As an example, this quote from Justice Story: “One of the beautiful boasts of our municipal jurisprudence is that Christianity is a part of the Common Law. . . . There never has been a period in which the Common Law did not recognize Christianity as lying at its foundations. . . . I verily believe Christianity necessary to the support of civil society.

In the following paragraph from David Barton’s book “ORIGINAL INTENT, THE COURTS, THE CONSTITUTION, AND RELIGION”:, , during a ruling on this case, Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States (1892) United States Supreme Court, Mr. Barton quotes from the ruling and mentions several other cases establishing that Christianity is the foundation of the laws of this nation, and the Courts expected it to always be that way!: [W]e find that in Updegraph v. The Commonwealth, 11 S. & R. 394, 400, it was decided that, “Christianity, general Christianity, is, and always has been, a part of the common law . . . not Christianity with an established church . . . but Christianity with liberty of conscience to all men.” And in The People v. Ruggles, 8 Johns. 290, 294, 295, Chancellor Kent, the great commentator on American law, speaking as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New York, said: “The people of this State, in common with the people of this country, profess the general doctrines of Christianity, as the rule of their faith and practice. . . . [W]e are a Christian people, and the morality of the country is deeply engrafted upon Christianity, and not upon the doctrines or worship of those impostors [other religions].” And in the famous case of Vidal v. Girard’s Executors, 2 How. 127, 198, this Court . . . observed: “It is also said, and truly, that the Christian religion is a part of the common law.” 4

I apologize to the members of the court that are not of the Christian faith, and I realize that there is no religion clause with regard to those who serve. But the truth is the truth, and even if you are NOT a Christian, the founding fathers established the foundation of this nation and its laws upon Christian Principles and the Ten Commandments; not opinion, fact! As the ultimate deciding authority of the Constitutionality of a law, it is YOUR DUTY to render your decisions not based on anything but one guideline: the Original Intent of the author of the article or amendment to the Constitution. If one of you interjects your personal values, then you would be violating your oath of office. The Constitution is a document meant to be set in stone except when legally amended by the people of the United States through their elected representatives. You have NO RIGHT to interject your personal beliefs into the rulings. That is what many of your predecessors have done, and for that, theyt should have faced impeachment, except that the Legislature as allowed itself to be cowed by the Courts and they are as spineless and corrupt as many of the Court members have been in the past; they have become nothing but party lackies with no brain of their own and only know how to cow to the will of nut-cases like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Chuck Schumer.

I would remind the Justices that your opinion of the Constitution and its relevance to current times is totally irrelevant when it comes time to make your rulings. I would remind the Justices that it is not your right to decide whether our Constitution needs changing or not. I would remind the Justices that it is totally irrelevant as to how this Constitution rates in your opinions when compared to other nations when it comes times to make your rulings. Your oath of office as a Justice compels all of you to do one thing…support and defend and interpret this Constitution according to the way that the authors of the relative articles or amendments in question intended them to be interpreted and implemented, NOT the way YOU think that they should be interpreted or implemented. To do otherwise violates your oath of office, and should that happen, I would support immediate impeachment and removal from the bench, but sadly, our spineless Legislature and Executive Branches will simply bow down and kiss the feet of the Courts and screw the American public out of our basic freedoms from God and and as granted in the Constitution.

As members of the SCOTUS, your obligation is not to make laws as you see fit, but to render your OPINIONS based on the ORIGINAL INTENT of the writers of the particular Article or Amendment to the Constitution. Original Intent was and still should be your guideline for judging on the Constitutionality of any decision you make. It is not and was not the right of any previous SCOTUS justices to interject their interpretations, but to do your homework and rule as you believe the first SCOTUS justices, using Original Intent as their guideline would rule. To prove my point, here are quotes from several of the founding fathers regarding Original Intent:

“On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probably one in which it was passed” Thomas Jefferson in a letter to SCOTUS Justice Andrew Johnson

“I entirely concur in the propriety of restoring to the sense in which the Constitution was accepted and ratified by the nation. In that sense alone is the legitimate Constitution. And if that be not the guide in expounding it, there can be no security for a consistent and stable, more than for a faithful, exercise of its powers….What a metamorphosis would be produced in the code of law if all its ancient phraseology were to be taken in its modern sense.” James Madison, 4^th President of the United States

“The first and fundamental rule in the interpretation of all instruments [documents] is to construe them according to the sense of the terms and the intentions of the parties.” Justice Joseph Story

Your predecessors from earlier courts understood the dangers in letting ones person opinions influence their decision making with regard to the Constitution. All I am doing at this point is trying to remind all of you that this is not a game. Your decisions, because of the gutless ways that the Legislative and Executive Branches are letting the courts treat them as red-headed step children (of which I am one!), are extremely important. In the past recent 70+ years of the Court’s practices, the attacks against religion have moved the scales of justice to exactly the opposite of what the founders envisioned, and I am strongly requesting that this Court pray about this matter, and return America to the vision of our founding fathers, an America where Christianity is recognized not as the national religion, but whose principles are certainly the foundation of our laws. The evidence clearly points that out, and anyone with half a brain can just look at the laws and the Opinions that the Court has rendered over the last seventy years, and see that the founders’ vision for our nation has been totally reversed and frankly, put America on a path of destruction from within and eventually either another civil war, or a voluntary split into two or more sovereign nations, because Christians and conservatives like me will NOT allow the nation to be destroyed by people who ignore their oaths of office and intentionally make decisions that destroy the America our founders envisioned and established.

The true Christians on the Court will understand what I say when I tell all of you that because of past Court rulings and the impact that they have had on America, God has taken His had of protection away from America. The Courts have kicked God out of schools, public buildings and offices, and even out of cemeteries. The Courts have turned at least half of America into godless, amoral, self-centered individuals who have the “what’s in it for me, and to hell with the rest of you!” attitude. The Courts have destroyed discipline in schools, destroyed support for teachers when trying to control their classrooms, and destroyed the ability of teachers and even parents from disciplining their own children as they deem fit. The Courts have turned a well-deserved spanking into a federal crime of child abuse, and as a result, at least half of America’s youth are undisciplined, poorly educated, immoral or amoral agnostics who have no moral compass. That is why there are so many school shootings; teachers and parents have been virtually neutralized from disciplining children and instilling in them a love of country, a duty of self-discipline, the need to be self-sustaining, and the morals of a person who respects the rights, feelings and bodies of others. Half of our society do not have the training that teaches them the value of human life, the responsibilities of a productive member of society, and the wonderful blessing to have been born in a country that recognizes our basic freedoms are NOT from the government, but are from God, and must be honored.

The non-Christian members of the Court have the same responsibilities as the Christian members, and that is to decide on Opinions using the guidelines of Original Intent, NOT the trending social fad of behavior. That is why we are in the mess that we are in now, and if the Courts continue on as they are doing now, then the responsibility for the destruction of America as a “shining light” that the rest of the world looks up to will be place squarely on your shoulders and will be shot to hell and gone forever, and instead, we will be living in a cesspool of a nation like much of the European and African nations of today are living in.

I am a seventy year old retired U.S. Army MAJOR. I served in Operation Desert Storm as a Company commander, and also flew 117 combat missions in Vietnam in the USAF (F4 Phantom II Fighter-Bomber. I grew up in the south (Louisiana), and have lived around guns all my life. I own several, including several semi-automatic rifles. I have been plenty mad lately at people, especially liberals and Democrats to kick their butts, but NEVER have I had a serious thought of shooting one of them with one of my rifles! Why? Because I was brought up in a generation where faith in God was a central part of my life, and that faith generated a value system that centered around Christian principles and God’s Ten Commandments.

Liberals want America to believe that the Constitution and our founding fathers were not religious people. That is a bald-faced Lie. All one has to do is look at the list of the 200+ names of our founding fathers and the signers of the Declaration of Independence shown in this link List of Christian founders and signers of Declaration of Independence, and it becomes readily evident that our founders were, indeed, to the man, Christians. There is also ample proof in the writings of the founders that they intended for this to be a nation based on Christian principles. As the founders put it, it was to be a nation where every man could worship God as he saw fit. As Chief Justice Joseph Story, of our 1^st Supreme Court wrote, “Probably, at the time of the adoption of The Constitution, and of the Amendment to it now under consideration, the general, If not the universal, sentiment in America was that Christianity ought to receive encouragement from The State…An attempt to level all religions and to make it a matter of state policy to hold all in utter Indifference would have created universal disapprobation [disapproval] if not universal indignation [anger].” On another occasion, in his “Commentaries”, he wrote, “The real object of the [First Amendment] was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sect”

Our founders did NOT believe that Christianity should be viewed legally on the same level as every other religion. The founders and the majority of the people of the nation viewed the principles of Christianity as foundation for our governmental policies. This is clearly stated by the founders. As an example, this quote from Justice Story “One of the beautiful boasts of our municipal jurisprudence is that Christianity is a part of the Common Law. . . . There never has been a period in which the Common Law did not recognize Christianity as lying at its foundations. . . . I verily believe Christianity necessary to the support of civil society. “

Why is it important for America to know that our founders viewed the principles of Christianity to be the foundation upon which our laws were founded? Because they also realized that for this Constitution to be effective, it was written FOR a Christian people in a Christian nation. It protected the rights of other religions to be worshipped freely, but the founders DID NOT believe that any other religion was to be viewed by the government on an equal level with Christianity, because they believed that only Christianity had the moral and spiritual principles that would insure our nation’s future and security, both internally and externally. Again, do not just believe me, but look at the writings of our founding fathers!

John Adams, 2^nd President wrote: “…The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were …the general principles of Christianity….Now I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God….I could therefore safely say, consistently with all my then and present information, that I believed they would never make discoveries in contradiction to those general principles.”

“…We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion….Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any others”

Samual Adams, Organizer of the Boston Tea Party and Signer of the Declaration of Independence: “Religion and good morals are the only solid foundations of public liberty and happiness…..A general dissolution of the principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of American than the whole force of the common enemy….”

Thomas Jefferson, writer of the Declaration of Independence and 3^rd President of the United States wrote: “The practice of morality being necessary for the well-being of society, He [God] has taken care to impress its precepts so indelibly on our hearts that they shall not be effaced by the subtleties of our brain. We all agree in the obligation of the moral precepts of Jesus and nowhere will they be found delivered in greater purity than in His discourses”

Our founding fathers understood that a nation without a moral compass such as the general principles of Christianity would be a nation that would not endure. They encouraged the teachings of the New Testament in public schools. (Yes, that is a fact: Until the American people wake up from the deception and liberal indoctrination being spewed out in our universities and by liberal politicians and judges, and reject their lies and deception, then sadly, it is doomed to fulfill Thomas Jefferson’s prophesy from over two hundred years ago where he said:

“The germ of dissolution of our federal government is in the constitution of the federal judiciary; an irresponsible body, (for impeachment is scarcely a scare-crow,) working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little to-day and a little to-morrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief, over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall be usurped from the States, and the government of all be consolidated into one.” - Letter to Charles Hammond, August 18, 1821

No nation without a moral compass can secure the freedoms of its people against the incessant encroachment of an out-of-control government. Government cannot stop the slaughter of its citizens by simply taking away their guns, the only way the slaughtering can be stopped is by instilling in its people the principles of Christianity, where life is valued as a gift from God, where people fear God’s wrath and the just punishment awaiting those who break its laws. Trying to seize all guns in this nation would lead to an outright violent overthrow of the government and the destruction of our national structure. Our founders knew what/who would protect our freedoms, and they instilled it in the Constitution. The SCOTUS has destroyed that foundation, and the other two branches must step up and restore the founders vision of the nation and put the judiciary back into its place, e.g., using Origional Intent as the guiding principle to issuing their opinions and NOT be allow to create law by declaring unconstitutional laws that comply with the original intent of the Constitution as written by the founders.

WEAPONS DO NOT KILL PEOPLE; PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE!

When will people stop looking at a weapon and blaming it for innocent people being killed? That is so symptomatic of this “victim” society, but it is an absolutely stupid view!. The gun does not kill until a person points it at someone and pulls the trigger; same for a knife, a bomb, poison, a car, or anything else!

Anyone ever wonder why mass shootings like this almost never occurred prior to the late 1980s and began with regularity in the late 1990s? Although a few occurred prior to this, random shootings with no real grievances against someone being a motivation really did not start until 1998. Although there are some who disagree with my beliefs, there are also many experts who say that violent games promote aggressive behavior and condition players to view the act of killing someone and the gory results of shooting somebody in the head, or cutting off a body part as not so repulsive an act. In other words, they cheapen the value of another life to the players. Virtually all of the extremely graphic video games came out after 1995 (ex: Mortal Combat 1993; Grand Theft Auto 1998; Call of Duty 2003; World of Warcraft 2004 ). It is my belief that these games cheapen the value of life and slowly desensitize players to the actual horrors of taking someone's life violently. The more graphic and realistic the video games actions become, the more that they desensitize the players to the gore associated with shooting someone in the head and seeing their blood and brains splattered all over the walls and floors. If killed in the game, then just restarting the game brings the characters back to life. The finality of a death in real life is cloaked and softened in the minds of the players.

Again, there are conflicting beliefs on both sides of the argument whether the games do or do not stimulate violent behavior on the players. I tried playing those games with my sons for awhile, and I observed that the graphic depictions of snipers blowing peoples' heads wide open, the blood and brain matter being sprayed graphically, and the mayhem done to people in those games was very disturbing to me personally, but seemed to have no effect on my sons. Personally, I believe that although they may or may not stimulate the violent behavior, they do desensitize individuals to the gore and finality of the act of taking someone's life by a bullet.

There is also no question that the rise of violence and the exponential growth of gun violence is directly correlated to the disintegration of the family unit which is directly correlated in time line with the SCOTUS’s numerous rulings which removed prayer from public schools (1947), then government buildings, legalizing abortions (1973), government interfering with parental disciplining of their own children, and the school systems’ being sued by parents accusing teachers of improper disciplining of students in class.

The Surgeon General of the United States stated in 2001 that "...According to the report, the strongest risk factors for school shootings center are mental stability and the quality of home life, not media exposure." As long as history has been documented, life has been centered around family. The Bible tells us that after God created man, he created woman because it was not good that man should be alone: Genesis 2:18-24: "¹⁸The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him. ...²¹So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs^[g] and then closed up the place with flesh. ²²Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib^[h] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. ²³The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” ²⁴That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh."

God created the family. God made that family unit a man and a woman. It is through family that mankind grows in number. It is through family that generations of individuals have learned proper manners, respect for others, belief in God, and the right ways to love one another as human beings and kin. But that family unit has been systematically destroyed by liberal judges making rulings that have destroyed the moral compass of this nation. They have made rulings which have subjected Americans to pornography which poisons the minds of men, women, and even children with sensual stimulations stressing sex with anybody at any time, where adults have sex with children, and humans with animals, and sex where men and women are abused physically, mentally, and emotionally. Pornography destroys the proper bond between men and women and replaces it with a fantacy world where people live out their fantasies with strangers they see on the screen, sometimes permanently destroying the relationship with their spouses. They have made rulings which destroy the family structure that God designed and have imposed upon society a made-up family structure that is offensive to many individuals and groups that think God's plan is the ONLY plan that will effectively unite the country again. What individuals do behind closed doors is between them and God, but to force through judicial mandate society to view and tolerate and have to not be critical of the perversion to Biblical guidelines that many of us believe the overriding mandate guiding our lives is extremely offensive, is hypocritical, and in my opinion illegal. We have a government telling us what we have to think and what we can and cannot say, and that is antithetical to everything that the founding fathers believe and provide for in the Constitution.

To sum up, America functioned until the late 1940s under the concept of Original Intent, e.g., interpreting the Constitution by first looking at the intent of the writer(s) of the particular article of the Constitution and using that as the guideline principle by which the decision was conformed to the intent of the writer. Starting in 1947 and continuing through today, the liberal judges adopted the concept of Judicial Activism, wherein they used the social norms and trends of the day to guide them in their interpretations of the Constitution. That shift left the nation with an ever-changing basis upon which right and wrong was defined, leading us to a situation where today, in many cases, right or wrong is defined by each person, by the loudest protesting voices, or by special interest groups lobbying powers, rather than by the Original Intent of the founding fathers. This is wrong, it is immoral, definitely unconstitutional, and goes against the spirit and promise of freedom that our founders wrote in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

The majority of our founders were Christians, and the evidence is found in their writings. David Barton, President of Wallbuilders, has collected over seventy thousand of the original writings of our founders. It should be noted that many historians agree that there are 204 individuals that qualify to be called "founders" of our nation. Of that 204 individuals, every last one of them identified with a Christian sect. Of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence, all fifty-six identified with a Christian sect. The breakdown can been seen here: List of Christian founders and signers of Declaration of Independence Those who claim that our founders were not Christians are simply lying or do not know what they are talking about.

America has lost its moral compass, which our founders intended to be the principles of the Christian faith, and frankly speaking, until that is reversed, all the laws in the world will do NOTHING to stop mass shootings in schools, and gun violence on our city streets. People kill other people, and if a gun is not available, they will find another weapon to do it. The hearts, minds, and souls of America’s citizens must be changed before it can expect any behavior changes. The concept of gun control changing anything is proven to be a pipe dream; just look at Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and many other cities where guns are as available as cigarettes to anyone with money and the will to look for them. The government trying to control anything is ridiculous. Prohibition didn't work, the War on Drugs didn't work, and gun control didn't work in the past and won't in the future.

Let's face it; if history has proven anything, it is that evil is going to be a part of this world as long as it exists until Christ comes back and establishes His kingdom here on earth and banishes Satan and his demons to hell. But until then, we will be fighting that evil, and unless we do so based on a belief in Christ and governing by His principles, it will be a losing battle.

AM I READY FOR THE RETURN OF CHRIST? YES!!!, AND NO...

As a Christian, for decades I have been hearing about the pending return of Christ. At least twice in my lifetime, that coming again has been forecast, and both times obviously was incorrect. When those times approached, I felt pretty sure those forecasts were misguided in nature, but still I pondered the "what-if" scenario; was I ready or not if by chance they were correct. Though the Bible says that not even Jesus knows when the Father will send Him back to bring His Church home to Heaven, still hearing these people so certain of that time made me both curious and cautious in saying whether or not these prophets of the pending return of Christ were wise, crazy, fanatics, or just publicity seekers. In the end, I told myself that I was ready, and actually prayed that the forecasters would be correct.

But now, as I think about that, I question the wisdom of that prayer. Not from a selfish standpoint, however, but because of the state of many of my countrymen and actual friends and loved ones that I now know were not then, and are not now ready for that coming event. I feel like I have failed to be the best I could be for Christ, and I am ashamed and disappointed in that failure. I am one of the millions of Christians who took the "let someone else..." or "I am not goid enough to..." position, and will regret that probably forever as I do now. My friends, acquaintants and loved ones have been deceived by Satan and this evil world, and had Christ come then, I am certain would have been condemned to hell for all eternity.

I guess the reality of that has hit home because I personally have friends and loved ones that I know do not believe that Christ is the only way to Heaven, that the Bible was written not by prophets and the disciples of Christ, but by men simply trying to improve their position in history, or that the translations are in error, or that a loving God would not condemn a "good person" to hell. And I am not ready to accept their fate yet; I am still praying that God will be merciful and open their eyes to see the truth. And I am convinced that Jesus IS the only way to Heaven, that one can never be "good" enough to earn one's way to heaven, and that the Bible IS God's words and instructions to us and is truth!

I say that NOT from pride, but because of evidence that God has shown through others, through the inspiration of His word, and through God's own speaking to me on two different occasions clearly. I cannot deny God's truth, His existence, His sovereignty, and His love because I have experienced it first hand, and have seen too many instances where He has revealed Himself to the world in undeniable ways.

So God, personally, I will say that I long to see Jesus come and save this world, and should You choose to call me home, I am ready and long to lay any jewels in my crown at your feet and thank You for your sacrifice and love for me that You would go through what Jesus did so that a miserable sinner such as I might know the redemptive love and freedom that You gave through Christ. But for the love of others, for the burning desire in my heart to not see ANYONE and especially those that I love and care for so very much suffer the indescribable misery of eternal punishment in hell separated from you, in Your infinite mercy, forgive my selfish desires . Please let me stay here long enough to hopefully share my faith in ways that honor you and open the eyes of those I know and love personally, and those You love and would allow me to share my faith in a way that helps them see the loving God that I see as my sovereign God, the only God, and Jesus as my Savior and Messiah. This is my prayer. AMEN

Why Jesus Had to Die!

Why did God send Jesus Christ to earth to become the Messiah; to take on the burden of being the bearer of every sin committed by every person that will ever live from the time of His resurrection until the final judgement? Theologians and Biblical scholars can give great, in-depth explanations about how and why it had to be that way, but it really boiled down to a very simple reality: there was no other way for man to be reconciled to a Holy God.

FACT 1: Sinful man cannot abide with a Holy and righteous God.
FACT 2: Since the fall of man (and woman) in the Garden of Eden, man has been sentenced to live in a sinful world, and to have a sinful nature.
FACT 3: GOD gave man laws to live by through Moses, but mankind failed to live by those laws over and over, proving that we were incapable of being holy and living a sinless life. No amount of animal sacrifices were enough to keep man free from the guilt of sin against God.
FACT 4: Left to ourselves, man is going to sin against God, causing separation from God, and is incapable of obeying God's law and living a holy, righteous, and sinless life.

When we think about God creating us, we can understand why God followed the path He did in redeeming us. SATAN will use every means available to attack, including trying to destroy our children, grandchildren, friends, family, and other loved ones. I am also learning very painfully that Satan is the most evil, despicable entity in God's creation. The pain that Satan causes people is indescribable and so cruel and, sadly, often so unnecessary if only people would understand that He is relentless in his attacks. What is Satan's purpose in attacking us? The answer is very simple: To keep as many souls for himself and from following Jesus. Satan is a fallen angel. When the final judgement of Christ comes, Satan and all his demons, and every soul that has refused to accept Christ as their personal Savior, unfortunately, will be condemned to eternity in hell with Satan and separated from God.

Satan wants to keep people from focusing on worshiping God, on giving God control of their lives, from accepting Jesus and on rejecting Satan's deceptions. What is sad to me...so very sad...is that people are gullible and susceptible to Satan's deceptions because they/we/I are not grounded in their faith; we do not realize that we must commit to following Christ's example every hour of every day. We must constantly be on the lookout for Satan's deceiving ways or we will be swept away by the world and out of God's leadership if we give Satan even a toehold in our minds and hearts. Think it cannot happen to you? Do not be foolish! Think about what the Israelites saw when Moses went before Pharaoh to free them. They saw God turn the waters of the Nile to blood, God strike the Egyptians with plagues of locusts and frogs, and the Passover when he killed the the firstborn of every Egyptian, including Pharaoh’s. Yet, when they were camped on the banks of the Red Sea and saw Pharaoh’s Army of chariots approaching, they crumbled in fear until Moses told them to watch and see the redemption of God and God parted the Red Sea for them to cross on dry land, the drown the Army of Pharaoh as they tried to follow. Then, as Moses was on Mt. Sinai and receiving the Ten Commandments from God, they grew impatient and weak, and built golden idols and worshipped false God's. God then kept them wandering in the desert for forty years until the last of the old generation died off before allowing them to enter the promise land.

If the Israelites, having seen such miracles first hand can be deceived by Satan and his followers so easily, it is absolutely ridiculous for us to believe that in today's world of information overload, the internet, and the availability and glamorization of sin through pornography, drugs, and corruption of all that is good and decent, that someone not firmly grounded in Christianity could be easily led astray. The truth of this is obvious and evident by the growing war against Christianity by liberals, homosexuals, politically correct fanatics, and radical Islamist. Satan is on the attack, and is winning!

God knew that because of the sinful nature of humans, try as we might, we could not ever successfully resist Satan's deceptions and live keeping the laws of Moses and stay sinless and in a redemptive state with fellowship with God. He gave the Israelites opportunities over and over again where they fell away from following and worshipping God, were conquered and enslaved, cried out to God for redemption and forgiveness, were redeemed, and eventually the Israelites fell away from God again and again. God allowed prophets to announce that eventually a Messiah would come and restore the Israeli promise land and kingdom on earth.

God knew from the beginning of time that man would need a Messiah, but man had no idea that the promised Messiah would be like Jesus! The Jewish people expected the Messiah to be another King David, a warrior king protected and enshrined by God and the earthly kingdom would endure forever. But God knew that mankind needed another type of a Messiah, one that would establish an entirely different type of earthly kingdom that encompassed the entire breadth and scope of humanity. Jesus would open God's kingdom and freedom to every human who would ask forgiveness of their sins and accept Him as God's son and the Messiah.

Mankind had demonstrated for thousands of years that it was incapable of following the laws of God and being "good enough" to earn salvation. God demonstrated over time that we were incapable of living by the “law”, and that only an ultimate sacrifice such as Jesus made could free man from the condemnation of our sin. I am so thankful that God made it simple; simple to accept His mercy through Jesus; simple to accept the forgiveness of our sins through Christ; simple to receive grace and assistance through the Holy Spirit which indwells us.

Satan...in Jesus's precious name I curse you to the depths of hell. God...you have my life; forgive my weakness, my lack of commitment, my lack of discernment, and my lack of courage. Make me ever mindful of Satan's deception attempts. Please give me the Godly wisdom I need to recognize Satan's attempts to destroy my witness for you and the courage to reject them and to call on You as my salvation and strength. Thank you for Jesus, through whom I am justified and forgiven for my sins, redeemed from condemnation, sanctified to you forever, and will be glorified to you in Heaven when I close my eyes in death.

HOW AND WHY WE SHOULD LOVE GOD - "’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments"

It was twenty degrees this morning at 0645 when I woke up. Me and Louie (my 18-month-old Schnoodle), put on our extreme cold weather clothing (him a Santa Clause tee-shirt and me four layers of clothing that made me walk in a manner similar to the abominable snowman), ventured out for our morning walk.

The sky was crystal clear, and I saw the belt of Orion and Venus, the morning star, and as usual, I thanked God for waking me up this morning, for the beautiful sky I was seeing, and for all my blessings, and told God, “Father, I love you.”, in the same manner many of us probably do every day. Of course, I meant the words, but for some reason, still alone in the dark as the day started breaking, I thought “what do I mean when I say, “I love you” to God the Father? Am I repeating them out of a feeling of gratitude, and if so, what am I grateful for? Or, am I repeating them almost like I repeat the Lord’s prayer at times; just saying the words because I think I should say them because I have been told I should say them? Am I repeating them in a way that God really sees the love and gratitude that I feel, and do I really honor the Father with my words AND deeds, which reflect the love and gratitude I feel, in a way that He feels what I feel in my heart.

I pondered those words during my walk, and then when I came home and started listening to Dr. Charles Stanley’s daily message, I was rather shocked to hear that his message for the day was “Loving God”. When I heard that title, I realized that God was talking straight to me, telling me that I needed to love Him as He loves me. But even more importantly than me realizing that God was honoring me by telling me that He loved me, that He wanted me to share what He was telling me today. As I pondered why God would want me to share this message, it occurred to me that this message that God has put on my heart today, and on Dr. Stanley’s heart today, is a lesson that America needs to understand that our Government is totally failing in demonstrating to our nation and the world. That failure, as Jesus says below, is why America is failing in its role as standard bearer for goodness and righteousness in a world spinning out of control and going to hell in a handbasket.

When Jesus was questioned by the Pharisees and the Sadducees about what the greatest commandment was, His response was “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

The last sentence in those three verses grabs my attention: “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” As I interpret that, Jesus is telling us that everything else in the Bible is dependent upon us understanding and obeying those two commandments. He is saying that if we do not Love the Lord our God with all our hearts and with all our souls and all our minds, then everything else we do is just “going through the motions”, and not truly understanding why we are doing something, why it is important that we do God’s will, and what all of this means in our time while we are here on earth.

I have had many leadership positions in my life in the military, working for others, and in my church life, but probably none more important that my roles as a father and husband. One of the most important lessons I learned as a leader, however, was that to be truly successful as a leader, I needed to be sure that those in my charge understood not only what I was asking them to do, but more importantly why I was asking them to do something. I learned that in helping those I led to see the “big picture” as best I could, then they began to understand what their role was in that big picture, and why their role was so important and where and how completing their role successfully made the completion of the overall mission successfully possible.

God is doing the same thing when He tells us that in loving Him and loving our neighbors as ourselves, we are setting the foundation upon which the rest of the world has an opportunity to a demonstration of how God loves everyone and has a plan for each one of us to maximize our impact on His mission through Christ to save us all from Satan’s condemnation for all eternity for those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their savior. Just as a soldier or a worker perform their job better when they understand how important their job is to the overall successful completion of the “big picture” plan of their leaders, so we as Christians, by loving God as He instructs us to, will be able to more effectively communicate to others how God loved us so very much that He willingly sacrificed His only begotten Son on the cross of Calvary to become our Messiah, our pathway out of this sinful world into an eternity of bliss in the presence of the God of everything.

As I examine my own love for God, I realize I fall short of loving Him like I should, and because of that, I am missing out on many of the blessings that God wants to show me here on this earth before I close my eyes in death and go to Heaven. And though I cannot go back and regain all the blessings I have lost thus far, as Paul says in Philippians 3:12-14: “¹²Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. ¹³Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, ¹⁴I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Pressing on; putting in the past the mistakes I have made, the regrets for what I have and have not done, I will continue to pray, I will continue to read and listen to God’s word and seek with my heart and soul and mind to love God above everything in this world. For I believe if I can stay firm on that path, God will feel that love from me, feel the gratitude that comes from understanding how deeply He loves me, feel the gratitude that comes from Him drawing me closer to Himself, and eventually Him showing me ways to better serve Him while I am on this earth. This is how I need to show my love to my Heavenly Father, and how I hope to fully feel and understand the love my Heavenly Father has for me. With that, will come a deeper understanding of the how blessed I am, and I am confident that will allow me to better show my love for my Savior and Heavenly Father in a manner that will please Him. He deserves that if for no other reasons than what He sacrificed through His son Jesus, my Messiah, so that I have the opportunity to spend eternity in Heaven with Him and not be condemned to hell with Satan for all eternity. All blessings beyond that are just gravy.

Finally, I believe that God is telling Americas that we, as Johnny Lee once said in a famous country song, are “Looking for Love in all the wrong places”. Those Americans looking for love and peace through political power, through financial wealth, through strategic alliances between companies and other countries, through personal relationships, and any other way that one can conceive of, will not find it in those ways. Our politicians and judges today have turned their backs on God's word and adjudicated God out of the Government almost completely. That is NOT what the founding fathers envisioned and provided for in our Constitution and Bill of Rights, and if anyone says otherwise, they are either lying or ignorant of who the founding fathers really were and what they really believed about the necessity of our government system being based on Christian principles, and faith in God and Christ being the foundation upon which the nation would prosper. True peace and love and harmony in this world are never going to be found until we, as individuals, businesses, states, and nations, first learn to love God as Jesus instructed above. Jesus promises us that if we do that, everything else will fall into place, because “’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

SEXUAL HARASSMENT-AN OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS

I was raised to be a gentleman, and to treat a lady like a lady. That meant opening doors for them, pulling out chairs for them, insuring their safety, and complementing their looks on dates, special occasions, and in general if they had taken pains to make themselves look attractive. I am now seventy years old, and if I treat a woman like that today, especially if the lady was a co-worker or business associate, I could be accused of sexual harassment. To me, that is disgusting and very disturbing.

First, let me say that I am NOT a chauvinist. I believe that if a woman can do a specific job as well as a man, then both should be paid at the same scale, and a person's sex must not have any bearing on whether or not the person gets a job or not. In other words, a person's sex should have absolutely nothing to do with how much they are paid, whether they get a job or not, or what benefits they are provided. HOWEVER, there is one situation where that situation SHOULD be modified. In the military, physical strength often can and must be a factor in determining whether or not someone should be deemed qualified to do a job. As an example, if a soldier in an infantry squad/platoon/special ops team is wounded in combat, frequently it is necessary for that wounded soldier's teammates to drag or carry the wounded soldier quickly out of harm's way and to medical care. Facing facts, there are some situations where a woman simply could not drag or lift and carry a wounded male soldier to safety. But in the same light, if a female proves she can meet the same rigorous physical requirements of the job that the males must meet, then she should not be discriminated in hiring or filling a position-PERIOD!

Second, let me say that sexual harassment as was originally described in the law should not be tolerated. Sexual harassment was originally defined in rather tight terms; it was described as any situation where a person holding a position of either supervision or influence over another person's job uses that position to pressure someone for sexual favors. The vast majority of incidents report of males being the harassers. The following link gives a rather comprehensive discussion of what is "sexual harassment": Wikipedia Definition of Sexual Harassment This is plainly an evil and sick act and deserves both condemnation and punishment. Likewise, the same condemnation should apply to any female that would harass a male employee as described above. But over the years, that definition has been expanded and broadened in the court of public opinion and political correctness to the point that now, simply complimenting a woman's appearance might lead to a man being accused of sexual harassment, and that is wrong! Now, political correctness demands that if a man is accused of sexual harassment, then that man is crucified in the liberal press whether or not there is any proof or not. We have seen several instances recently where prominent conservative FOX News male news persons were forced to resign because of unsubstantiated accusations, some of them going back decades. Now, Alabama senatorial candidate Roy Moore from Alabama is now being persecuted by BOTH the liberal news media and the establishment Republicans in Congress because of accusations against him by five women who made their accusations after Judge Moore defeated another Republican and made his way into the state-wide contest to fill the seat that now U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions vacated after his appointment.

Are these accusations true or not; frankly no-one really knows now. However, many questions arise to any person with an objective mind. Why did the women wait until this time to make the accusations when the time frame of some of these accusations go back over forty years? Why did they not make the accusations at the time of the offense? Is/are the accusation(s) provable, will the accuser(s) be willing to take a polygraph before the stories are published? Did the accuser(s) know one another? Had the accusers ever told anyone else prior to this time of the attacks? Are the accusers from the opposing political party or vocal opposition persons of Judge Moore's religious and political beliefs? Have the accusers been motivated by Judge Moore's opposition to make these accusations? Were the women physically assaulted or are the allegations about verbal harassment? I have read in Judge Moore's case that in at least one instance, the accuser told her mother of the incident after several years. If so, that lends more credibility to the story, but, in fact the accusation is still just that; an accusation with no ability to be proven. And, when one considers Judge Moore's forty-plus year history of fighting for the restoration of America's original belief structure and conservative foundations, then some might find it hard to believe such accusations because they are so contrary to what Judge Moore has said and done over the past forty or so years.

All I am saying here is that it seems awfully unfair for this man to be convicted and banished to the point of being forced to withdraw from the Alabama race, or face expulsion from the full Senate if he stays in and gets elected, which seems highly improbable now. The principle of innocent until proven guilty is absolutely shot to hell by the liberal press and the politically correct liberals on the left. Especially when with some of the accusations could not possibly be proven in a court of law.

It is probably a very unpopular position to put forth, but it seems to me that the "system" is stacked against men in a very unhealthy and dangerous way. A woman today can make charges against any man, destroying his career, his reputation, and his future, with absolutely no proof presented, and facing no legal punishment when/if the charges are found false. In a day where women are demanding equality of treatment, then there needs to some quid-pro-quo in the legal and court-of-public opinion worlds for the protection of men from women who have ulterior motives and make damaging, unsubstantiated accusations of sexual harassment against a man.

I also have heard cases where women verbally attack a perfect stranger for simply complimenting the woman's appearance. Guys like me brought their male children up to treat every female like a lady. If in passing I were to tell a lady I was introduced to that she looked lovely or pretty or very nice, I would be behaving like most men born in the forty's through the early sixties were taught how to treat a lady, especially someone raised in the South and West. It would both insult me and anger me if a woman reacted like Ashley Judd did to being paid a compliment recently by taking offense and chastising me for trying to do so, and I would probably reply that I was sorry, I mistook her for a lady instead of a liberal nut-case, and politely then excuse myself.

I miss that age where women were proud to be known as a lady and complimented on their appearance and did not feel offended or threatened. I miss the days when women were ladies, where there was a standard of behavior and appearance where women exercised some modicum of propriety with their behavior and appearance. I miss the days when ladies were treated with appropriate respect and admiration for who they were rather than how they insisted others treat them because they feel like they would get the respect and recognition they deserve because of their sex.

Again, in MY opinion, over the last thirty to forty years, the women's liberation movement has intentionally done all it could to make women feel like they are wasting their lives if they choose to follow the traditional path of becoming wives and mothers and not do everything they can to prove that they are as capable as a man in every situation. What the women's liberation movement has failed to do is understand the damage that its platform has done to literally destroy the value placed on being a good mother and wife. Can anyone really say that in today's world, a woman that chooses to be a wife and mother is recognized as being as valuable as a woman who pursues a career to be a CEO or political leader? I think not, and that is a shame and an injustice. Every woman has value if she chooses to do and be what God intended for her to be, just as every man has the same value. A mother that raises a child to be a person of faith, integrity, dedication, and honesty has as much value as a woman that pursues her dream to be a CEO or President of The United States of America, and, as such, should be treated with respect, love, and value. In fact, that same analogy applies to every person, male or female. Sexual harassment of any person is an act of disrespect, conducted by a person with low self-esteem, the value system of a demon from hell, and one unworthy of the respect and admiration of anyone, and is an act symptomatic of the lack of a Godly moral compass having been ingrained into the person's up bringing.

It is a shame and disgrace that in a civilized, educated world like we live in today that women must fight for equal treatment on the job and in the workforce. Obviously, there are situations where a woman must work, rather than just deciding to work for their own satisfaction. But in either case, if a woman is in the workplace, she deserves the same treatment, respect, benefits, wages, and evaluation as a man would holding the same job. The ONLY situations where a woman MIGHT not be qualified to hold the same job as a man, as I described earlier, is where her physical strength capabilities might endanger a fellow worker's safety should an occasion arise where she must physically rescue a fellow male worker from danger and possible endanger his survival because she cannot assist the injured party because of her strength limitations. And, to be totally honest, there many be other situations where there might be justification to put a male requirement on a position that I am overlooking simply because of my background and frame of reference, and if so, excuse my not mentioning them. But other than that, I think it is absolutely the right thing to do to hire, pay, promote, and if required, fire an individual STRICTLY on their job performance and capabilities. To NOT do so is wrong, and to inflict the indignation of sexual harassment on an individual is a dastardly act and must face condemnation and rejection by any person with a Godly moral compass and sense of right and wrong.

WHY IS AMERICA TEARING ITSELF APART FROM WITHIN? DECEPTION BY LIBERALS AND BY SATAN, THAT IS WHY!

Why is America being torn apart from within? Is it racism, political abuse of power, immorality, sexual perversion, economic instability? The answer is yes to all of these destructive forces, but it should be noted that these are all just the symptoms of the major cause of our internal destruction. They are ALL symptoms of a nation that was founded by men who intended for that nation to operate and govern using as a foundation for ALL its laws, policies, and actions the Christian religion, but has strayed away from its intended heritage. Not the Jewish, Islamist, Hindu, Buddhist, or any other non-Christian faith, but upon the principles of Christianity.

I do not ask or expect anyone to believe me, but all should believe the words of the founders themselves. For example:

AMENDMENT ONE TO THE CONSTITUTION: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...".
The purpose of this Amendment was NOT to separate government from religion,

but to prevent the Federal Government from dictating to the individual states which Christian religion was the official legal religion of the nation. This is stated explicitly by one of the first Supreme Court Justices, Associate Justice Joseph Story:

The real object of the [First Amendment] was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sect”
“Probably, at the time of the adoption of The Constitution, and of the Amendment to it now under consideration, the general, If not the universal, sentiment in America was that Christianity ought to receive encouragement from The State…An attempt to level all religions and to make it a matter of state policy to hold all in utter Indifference would have created universal disapprobation [disapproval] if not universal indignation [anger].”

Our founders were a religious group of individuals, and all strongly felt that the principles of Christianity were essential to our nation becoming and remaining strong and independent. Again, don’t believe me, read their own words:

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion….Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any others” John Adams, 2^nd President of the United States
Three points of doctrine, the belief of which, forms the foundation of all morality. So, how did America go from being a nation with declared dependence upon the principles of Christianity as a foundation of our nation’s laws and government to what it is now, a nation whose government has done everything in its power to destroy Christianity as the foundation of our government, and to turn America into a godless agnostic, morally depraved nation? We Americans have done it to ourselves by becoming an morally apathetic and uninvolved bunch of individuals more focused on material success, self-gratification, and in denial about our nation’s dependence upon the blessings and protections of an Almighty God for the protections of our liberties and independence. We have become a nation who are convinced a big, nanny-state government, free from Christian guidelines and self-discipline, taking care of all our “needs” is what is best for all our people, a vision exactly the opposite of what the founders intended.

We have been deceived and blinded by Satan who has convinced over half of this nation that God either does not exist, or does not care about what happens. He has convinced liberals and non-Christians that Christians are people who look down their noses at non-Christians; that Christians think they are better than everybody else, that Christian beliefs are no longer applicable, and that God will not send people to hell as long as they are “good” people, although the definition of a “good” person is undefined, or varies from person to person according to how that person views the world and their and others’ behavior.

America was strong because America WAS a Christian-based nation who understood that our freedom and our liberties and blessing were given to us by God because of our acknowledged reliance and dependence upon Him as our protector and sustainer. Until it returns to that nation as envisioned by our founders, it will not be great again.

THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH

In the world of 2017, one must make certain assumptions when it comes to knowing what to believe is truth and what not to believe. In making those assumptions, one must have a point of reference which is believed to be absolutely infallible. Otherwise, we place our decision making about truth on questionable foundations.

The truth is our world today is full of lies. Politicians lie virtually every time they open their mouths. Children lie for fear of punishment. Criminals lie in hopes of getting away with a crime and not going to jail. Professors lie because they want to influence their students to believe according to their belief system. But the worst liar of all is SATAN. He lies to us because he wants us to believe that God is a liar so we will all end up not trusting God’s word and, because of that mistrust, refuse to accept Jesus as His son, and therefore spend all eternity in hell after we die because of that refusal.

I KNOW the Bible is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I know that sounds like an awfully strong and questionably declarative statement, but let me explain why I say that, and then maybe others can understand why I make such a strong position.

In 1972, I was in Southeast Asia, flying combat missions. I was scared. On many of the missions I flew, bullets literally flew over my head and over the wings of my aircraft by what looked like inches. I was looking for truth in my faith, because I wanted to be absolutely sure that if I was killed over there, that I would go to Heaven. I had several wonderful friends that were of the Mormon faith (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), and I admired them because they lived a life that seemed to me to be what Christians should live. They were kind, soft-spoken, gentle people who loved their families and others with what I would call the love of Christ.

I asked one of my friends, a pilot named Steve, to tell me why the Mormons seemed to live a more Christian lifestyle that most of my other friends who were Christians, and as he explained it to me, he told me things that started making me question whether or not that was really the church I should belong to or not. I liked what I heard, so they invited me to go through a process where I was taught about their church and could eventually become a member of that church.

While many of their beliefs were totally foreign to me, their story about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith at first seemed questionable, they presented historical facts to me which gave me reason to keep an open mind. I did, until they told me I would have to be re-baptized by someone in their church that had hands laid on them with a lineage that traced all the way back to Joseph Smith. At that, I got a disturbing feeling in my spirit and told them I had to pray about that, because I had already been baptized twice; sprinkled in the Methodist Church, and dunked when I converted to the Baptist denomination at the request of my first wife (at that point, I believed what the preachers told me that baptism was not a requirement of salvation, but an outward expression of trust and obedience to Christ’s instructions).

I was very uncomfortable in my spirit then, and when I later heard about our next day’s mission, I became even more uncomfortable. We were going to fly our first mission deep into North Vietnam and attack a base which was the only North Vietnamese anti-aircraft training school. It was a rather small base geographically, which made a fairly concentrated target, and around that base were, if my memory serves me correctly, fifty-seven anti-aircraft gun sites.

I got very scared at that point. In my fear, I became convinced that I was going to die the next day. I had taken anti-aircraft fire before from a few gun sites down in South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, and they got close enough to make me question how we did not get hit, but we never did. Now, we were going to bomb a concentrated area where they were fifty-seven guns firing on us. In my mind, I saw no way for us to get through that much firepower without getting hit and I just accepted in my mind that I would probably die the next day. But with that acceptance, the question of whether or not what the Mormons were telling me about baptism became an even more pressing matter, because when I died I wanted to be sure I would go to Heaven. The Mormons believe that all other faiths will not go to Heaven; they were telling me that only those who were Mormons would go to heaven.

I started praying harder than I had ever prayed before about what to believe. I actually fell asleep praying, but at roughly two o’clock in the morning, I woke up and sat straight up in my bed when I heard these words “Stick with what you know to be the truth” as clearly as if the person were in the room with me. But my other three roommates were still sound asleep.

I climbed out of my upper bunk bed and went down the hall to where Steve and his Mormon friend whose name I cannot remember were sleeping and woke them up. I explained to them what had happened, and asked them what they thought about it. They were very patient with me, and were obviously trying to wake up and gain some comprehension of what I had said, so they asked several questions of me getting me to explain again what had happened, and I explained as best I could what I had been going through all that day after they told me about the baptism requirement and how I had been praying hard, even falling asleep while praying.

Steve and his friend really seemed a little befuddled, but finally Steve’s friend said to me in so many words “sometimes, the devil will put thoughts in our heads in order to lead us astray, and maybe that is what is happening here.” He had no more finished his statement when I said to him “Well why would the devil tell me to stick to the Bible?” They had no response. At that point, I simply excused myself and went back to my room and started praying again.

My thoughts became pretty clear to me at that point. I had not even thought about what I would say to Steve’s friends statement; it just popped out of my mouth without my thinking about it. In my prayers, I had not thought about the question in exactly those terms, but I had prayed hard asking God to clarify to me whether my prior teaching from the Bible about baptism were true, or whether what Steve was telling me about the Mormon faith’s beliefs about baptism were true or not. I had not, to my recollection ever put it into context about whether the Book of Mormon was true or not because frankly, I had come to believe it was true until the baptism issue came up.

In the nine words that I heard that night, I believe that God answered my prayers. I can state unequivocally that from that time on, I did not fear dying. I was still afraid on every combat mission, but not of being killed, but of possibly being maimed or taken prisoner and being tortured. But death had no hold on me any more. I also realized two very important things that night:

1. God confirmed in my heart and mind that the Bible was truthful and to be trusted.

2. God answers prayers when we question Him about theological issues with a pure heart searching for truth.

Since that time, God has revealed to me that He is giving people proof of His existence, and proof that the Bible is true. Numerous books are available from people who have had near-death experiences and gone to Heaven and met Jesus. The most obvious and undeniable proof to me is given in the example of two children, one a then-three-year-old from a Midwestern state, and a young Russian child from the Chicago area. Both had experiences where they went to Heaven and met Jesus. Neither knew of the other, but the father of the young boy, a pastor of a church in that Midwestern state, kept asking his son what Jesus looked like, showed him every picture he could find depicting Jesus, and the boy kept saying no, that wasn’t him. Then, one day a story of the young girl was being shown on TV. In that story, it was showing some of the beautiful paintings that this less-than-10-year-old girl from Chicago had painted, and one of them was a large painting of the Christ. About that time, the young boy, who at that time was less than five years old, walked by the TV, and matter-of-factly told his father “That’s Him”, meaning that is what Jesus looked like.

So, a boy from the Midwest sees a picture of Jesus painted by a girl just a few years older than him from Chicago, a girl the boy had never met, and confirms that the picture is of Jesus as the boy saw Him in heaven in his near-death experience. Coincidence? No, I don’t think so. When one becomes a Christian, one soon learns that in the life of a Christian, there is no such thing as coincidence when it comes to spiritual truths.

I know all the arguments against the Bible being absolutely truthful. I listen to my skeptical friends with the typical arguing points (shell-fish versus no-shell-fish, women cutting their hair, conflicts between the Old Testament and the New Testament, the earth being billions of years old versus thousands of years old, etc). Do I know the answers? No. Does that bother me? NO!

Any religion is a belief based on one thing: Faith. Faith is believing and trusting in something or someone that cannot be seen or proven by empirical evidence. However, there is another type of proof that overcomes all the issues of empirical evidence requirements. In the Christian faith, there is the proof of the Holy Spirit. For those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, we have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit, and that Holy Spirit is as real as your next breath. The Holy Spirit is our interpreter when we pray but do not know how to express ourselves to our Father. The Holy Spirit is our conscience, guiding us on our quest for truth as we face the lying society in which we live. It is our source of the ability to believe and trust in God. We Christians know that the Holy Spirit is real and trustworthy because it is part of the Trinity.

Can I prove what I have told today? No. If Steve and his friend are still alive, I hope they would confirm at least factually what I have said is true, whether or not they believe what I have said spiritually is true or not. But in my own heart and mind I am convinced without doubt that on a hot July night before my first combat mission into deep North Vietnam I heard the voice of God speak to me as audibly as I hear anything while awake and tell me “Stick with what you know to be the truth”. And while I am a confessed sinner, undeserving of anything but condemnation, through the undeserved grace and mercy of God, when I close my eyes in death, I will spend eternity in Heaven in the presence of the one and only God, His son Jesus Christ. I pray others will read this and if there are any doubts as to whether I speak the truth or not, do not trust me, but go in earnest, heartfelt prayer to God and ask for His guidance, and I believe that God is faithful and will reveal His truth to you.

Today, the way our Federal Government is providing for the care and treatment of the Veterans of our military who have fought and served this nation with honor is disgraceful and dispicable. As we approach Memorial Day, a Day where we honor the men and women who gave their lives in the defense of this nation's rights as outlined in the Constitution interpreted the way our founders intended, as a retired Officer who served in the Army and the U.S. Air Force, I am deeply offended, angered, and hurt as I see what the state of our Federal Government is today and its attitude towards the military and veterans.

Memorial Day, to me, is the most sacred of all U.S. Federal Holiday other than Christmas or Easter. It should be a day spent being grateful that as an American, we are privileged to live in the only nation in world history where a person is free to worship God in public whether they are Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, or any other religion. Yet thanks to misguided liberals, congressmen, senators, and Supreme Court Justices today, I feel like our Government has allowed Memorial Day to become a day which disgraces the memory of all who have died in the service of our nation's armed forces defending its Constitution. If the liberals in Congress, the ACLU and other evil, misguided anti-religious groups get their way, pretty soon, the only way we will be able to shout the name of God is inside church walls, as long as we do not quote God’s laws against homosexuality, gay marriage, or this politically correctness trend where we cannot say anything that might hurt somebody’s feelings.

But that is not the way the nation was originally brought into being. Our forefathers fought a revolution to build a different type of nation; one built on Christian principles where its citizens were free to worship the God of the Bible; e.g., Jehovah, Yahweh, Elohim, Adonai, El Shaddai, and many other names, as they wished. But you do not have to believe me; read what the founding fathers said and did about their feelings about religion and worshipping or studying God and how that integrated into government:

· The Federal Government actually held church in the Capital building starting in 1800 and it continued until well after the War

· “The real object of the [First Amendment] was not to countenance, much less to advance, Mahometanism, or Judaism, or infidelity, by prostrating Christianity, but to exclude all rivalry among Christian sects” – Justice Joseph Story, U. S. Supreme Court 1811-1845

The U.S. Supreme court, beginning in the 1940’s arbitrarily injected a gross misinterpretation of the intent of the founders of our nation by taking a phrase from a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote to a group of Baptists that he was trying to convince that he had no intention of allowing any Christian sect to be named the official “religion” of the nation. In that letter he introduced a clause known as the Separation of Church and State which has driven American down a path undreamed of by the founders, and on a path that will inevitably lead to its decimation as the greatest nation the earth has ever seen.

The founding fathers all believed that America came into being and won its freedom in a revolution that was God-ordained and God-determined as to outcome. The founders, as they wrote the Constitution, prayed before every major decision regarding a point to be or not to be included in that document. Their original intent was for the Bible to be taught in public schools; it was the most prevalent book of its time, and as such, the leaders expected it to be used to teach everything from reading to good morals.

Yet, the U.S. Supreme Court systematically started destroying what our founding fathers envisioned as the proper role in government by injecting their liberal desires to create a super Federal Government and decimate State’s Rights that the founders blatantly states was something that they all dreaded and warned Americans was inevitable if the citizens of the USA lost their fear of big government and their zeal to protect the State’s rights to govern their citizens.

As a soldier who fought for this nation in two foreign campaigns, I deeply resent the intentional efforts of liberals to destroy the nation that our founders envisioned as they gave birth to it. I deeply resent how all liberals and most other politicians today are nothing but hypocrits, power-hungry, lying, individuals that ought to be put in front of a firing squad or sent to prison for life for treason against the Constitution. And, probably worst, I absolutely detest what the U.S. Supreme Court has become, e.g., nothing more than a political tool for the parties that they are nominated by, and who have totally ignored the intention of the writers of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as they reshaped this nation’s morals, freedoms of religions, speech, and protections from the Government that they are supposed to protect the citizens from.

Thomas Jefferson once said:” I hold it that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. It is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government.” and “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” All I would say is “AMEN”. Every soldier that values the freedoms as established by the Constitution as originally intended when written should be absolutely infuriated that the politicians are doing nothing but try to localize their own power and destroy the Bill of Rights. In my opinion, they are traitors and are worthy only of being tarred, feathered, disgraced, and imprisoned for treason. Their hypocrisy is unbelievable; they can send a citizen to jail for lying to Congress, but they systematically lie to the American Public without fear of any type of punishment.

I would pray that this Memorial Day, every Veteran that has fought for this country, in honor of every soldier that has died to protect and defend the Constitution contact their elected Representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate and vent their outrage over the way that our Federal Government is treating our Constitution, and disrespecting and killing the veterans that have fought for our nation.

Remember…evil grows and wins when good people stand by and do nothing. Veterans have already stood on the line. It is now the duty of the citizens of the USA to stand up and protect the rights of American Citizens as intended by the writers of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and care for the veterans in honor of the ultimate sacrifices we honor on Memorial Day.

What does it say about a nation's intellectual and moral condition when the nation can re-elect a man to office whose only accomplishments in office are measured by how much of our taxpayer money he has squandered on taxpayer loans to “green” companies that have gone broke in blatant pay-offs to political supporters, the passage of a health care bill that before it is implemented already has over twenty thousand pages of regulations to implement a two thousand-plus page bill that even the government's own accountants say is going to increase health care costs by over a trillion dollars and decrease the level and quality of care to America's citizens?

What does it say about a nation that will re-elect a man who was only able to win by maliciously attacking and slandering a man because he has been a success at everything he does, like turning around a failed Olympia in America, turning around several major corporations from bankruptcy and turning them into job-producing, profitable companies, when the attacker has never run anything but a neighborhood development, taxpayer funded organization, and has run up more debt in four years than his predecessor did in eight, and has increased the national debt by fifty percent in his tenure in office with nothing to show for it?

What does it say about a nation when it will re-elect a man who, while his Libyan embassy is being over-run and four Americans killed in a well-planned, coordinated attack by Al Queda terrorists, flies off to a fund-raiser in Las Vegas without knowing whether his administration has dispatched enough forces to protect the lives of the Americans in Bengazi? What does it say about a man who would then blame the attack on Islamics mad about an independent film that is critical of the Islamic prophet Mohammad, when he knows full well it is Al Queda terrorists, but saying so will make his administration look bad because he has been bragging on Al Queda being virtually destroyed and made an irrelevant force in the middle east?

What does it say about America when it is perfectly legal for a woman to kill an unborn baby in her womb, even though that baby has a heartbeat, sucks it thumb, demonstrates with facial expressions that it feels pain, and, if left alone, would be born a perfectly healthy human being, but if a murderer kills a pregnant woman, that murderer is charged with two murders?

What does it say about a government when it will continue to give foreign aid to nations that sponsor terrorism, that have sworn an oath to destroy our only real ally in the middle east, Israel, that burn American flags, and that verbally repeat how much they hate America and call us the great Satan, but they will cut-off funds to American citizens who want to pay fifteen dollars to take a tour of the White House, or a tour of a national park, or stop paying college tuition for our returning combat soldiers which were promised the opportunity to get college tuition assistance if they served in our all volunteer military?

What it says to me is that America is so self-absorbed that it worries more about poor cell phone reception than it does about rogue nations like Iran and North Korea possessing nuclear power that inevitably will be used against America's allies and possible America herself. What it says to me is that we are more worried about fake shampoo in a bottle on an airplane that we are with individuals carrying knives onto an airplane. What it says to me is that we have lost touch with the realities of right and wrong, morality and immorality, and honor and truthfulness being good qualities and lying and "spinning" the truth being wrong!

What it says to me is that about fifty-one percent of Americans are so selfish, so gullible, and so concerned about their own welfare that they care only about what they can get out of the government personally and to hell with the rest of the nation. What it says to me is that America is a morally bankrupt nation that worships Hollywood movie stars and celebrities, but barely notices when young, brave Americans die on a battlefield in places like Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. You want proof? We hang on every action of bimbos like Snookie, Kim, and Brittany, but we allow attacks on wonderful women like Ann Romney and Sarah Palin. What it says to me is that Satan has deceived fifty-one percent of Americans into believing that immorality is the new morality, that it is OK for the New Black Panther Party to stand in front of polling places and intimidate voters, but it is illegal for states, which by the U.S. Constitution are independent sovereign entities, to pass laws that make it a requirement for someone to prove that they are a legal citizen of the state and this nation in order to cast a vote. It says to me that it is OK for force states to fund education, health care, food stamps, free transportation, housing, cell phones, and prevent law enforcement from demanding proof of citizenship before receiving these handouts, but a person cannot apply for social security, VA disability, or even a job at the Post Office without providing copies of their social security card and their drivers' license to get an interview. In other words, it says that our Government is more concerned about protecting the votes it gets/buys from illegal aliens and their legal families in American than it is about protecting the rights of taxpaying citizens of this country, and that fifty-one percent of us are so self-absorbed and morally bankrupt that we don't care enough to kick them out and generate any moral outrage at their behavior.

What it says to me is that we have a socialist moron that fifty-one percent of Americans were stupid enough to vote for because they can be sold a bill of goods by a snake-oil salesman. What it says to me is that fifty-one percent of this nation elect liars, con artists, whores, and morons to our congress because they could care less about anything in America but what they can get out of the government to pad their own pockets while they rest of the nation can go to hell. What it says to me is that a majority of our U.S. Senators and far too many of our U.S. Representatives are so corrupt that they deserve to be tried for treason, or at worst for lying to the public, malfeasance in office, and run out of town on a rail after being tarred and feathers.

What it says to me is that people are so busy being convinced that they are victims, that they have lost sight that this has been for over two-hundred years and is still the greatest nation on earth that has ever existed, and that all this effort to be sure that we do not forget where we came for has blinded us to the facts that we better be damn careful and protect where we are now because it is sliding down a slippery slope to moral, economic, and spiritual destruction. What it tells me is that fifty-one percent of America better get the damn blinders and scales off their eyes, or all hell is going to break lose in America the same way it has in Europe. What it tells me is that fifty-one percent of America better realize that, as Margaret Thatcher once said “The only problem with socialism is that pretty soon, it runs out of rich and working people from whom it can take from to give to the poor and lazy people.” What it means is that if people do not start taking responsibility for their own futures and quit expecting the government to take care of their futures, their nanny nipple is going to run dry, and they will not know how to make it on their own. What it means is that our nation makes Sodom and Gohomorrah look like a Sunday-school class, and that a just and righteous God is going to smack-down America if we continue like we are going now, and deservedly so.

OBAMACARE - THE DEATH SENTENCE FOR SENIORS WHO GET SICK!

I received this email today. It is extremely scary to me since I will be turning 66 in April.

When I went into the military in 1969, I was promised that if I served twenty years and retired, I would be provided FREE healthcare for life, along with a pension. What a lie!!

I am already having to pay nearly three hundred dollars a month for my healthcare (Medicare and my supplemental care for my spouse). Now, I see this and I learn that my costs are going up and my coverage and care benefits are being drastically reduced! Thanks a lot for all that, especially after I fought in Vietnam and Desert Storm to protect this nation! The DEMOCRATS are SCREWING seniors and veterans royally, but their gold-plated healthcare plans make Obamacare look like trash (which it is!!!)

At age 72, today, I went to the Dr. for my monthly B12 shot that I have been getting for a number of years. The nurse came and got me, got out the needle filled and ready to go then looked at the computer and got very quiet and asked if I was prepared to pay for it. I said no that my insurance takes care of it.

She said, that Medicare had turned it down and went to talk to my Dr. about it. 15 minutes later she came back and said, she was sorry but they had tried every-thing they could but Medicare is beginning to turn many things down for seniors because of the projected Obama Care coming in. She was brushing at tears and said, "Some day they too will get old", I am so very sorry!!

I wish I had originated this. But since this is a blog, and since I am not taking any credit for this other than re-posting it, I am going to do so and state my emphatic agreement with it's content and purpose.

At 83, died on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence along with John Adams.

Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, his laws and the nature of man. Who are the real "haters"?

We have some real dumb creatures in Congress, folks, and it is time we came to realize that they have been up there so long, they have completely lost touch with reality. Unfortunately, and embarrasingly, however, we have no-one to blame but OURSELVES! For some reason, we have become so stupid that we follow along with these morons leadership like lemmings following the lead lemming off the cliff to their deaths!

I am a conservative, Christian, heterosexual, pro-life, pro-religion, pro-gun male. That makes me, according to the U.S. Congress part of so many “hate” groups that I cannot count that high. Who defines a hate group, though? How do they know we hate anything? Facts be know, I do not hate anyone, even those crazy lunatics in Congress that call me a hater. I think down deep, many of them are probably decent people, except maybe Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, Andrew Cuomo, Joe Biden, and Barack Obama, who I happen to believe are maniacal Hitler wanna-be's. But I do not even hate them; I pity them, but I absolute DISPISE their actions, per Jesus's instructions to “...love the sinner, hate the sin.”

Most Christians do not hate people, because Christians have a conscience; it is called the Holy Spirit that lives inside us. We believe the founders, who were almost to a man, God-fearing, God-loving Christians of varying denominations. We believe they understood that America's freedoms were due to blessings and protections from God, and not of our own works. We believe they understood that for America's freedoms to perpetuate and grow, that God's laws needed to be the foundations for the laws of the land, and that is why they wanted the Bible taught in public schools, why before almost every major decision was made regarding the content of the Constitution, the delegates prayed together and separately before the vote.

I believe that America was victorious in both World Wars because we understood and still held to the views of our founders, and we appealed as a nation to God for the protection and victories so that our freedoms could be ongoing, and we believe God answered those prayers. But since World War II, liberals, who believe the Constitution is an outdated, irrelevant document that needs to be rewritten to make it more relevant to today's world, have done the deal-level best to slowly and surely re-write history to make their visions of America come to pass; a nation where God is constrained to the inside of houses of worship and unwelcome anywhere else.

Liberals DO hate. They hate conservatives; they hate anyone and anything that does not think like they do, and that resists their efforts to change America. They hate democracy; they hate Christianity because it stands for everything they stand against. They hate pro-life people, and refuse to recognize that a fetus is a human, even though if no pro-active actions are taken, that fetus will be born alive and a human being. They believe if someone kills a woman who is pregnant, that the killer is guilty of two murders, but on the other hand, they think it is perfectly OK to commit partial birth abortions by sticking a pair of scissors into the brains of a partially born infant and scramble its brains to kill it, and they call that protecting a woman's right to privacy over her body. REALLY?

No, folks, the real “haters” are liberals. They hate anyone and anything that stands in their way of turning America into a socialist, agnostic, secular, utopian, nanny state. They hate the Constitution because the founders knew that eventually, power-crazy politicians would do everything they could to steal our God-given rights and turn them into rights given by the Government, which can then, at the Government's whelm, be taken away by that government. They hate guns, because guns are the only real protection that the American citizens have against a power-crazy bunch of politicians like we now have forcefully turning us into a nation of cowering pawns controlled by these power crazy politicians. They hate the founders because they know the founders knew what they were going to try to do sooner or later, and created the 2^nd Amendment to the Constitution to protect the citizens' rights to bear arms (any kind of Arms we feel like owning), so that if needed, the citizens could rise up against the Government and forcefully throw them out if they go too crazy!

Liberals hate the truth, and they hate facts. Confronted with the facts that the ten-year ban on assault weapons started under the Clinton Administration did nothing, when these mass shooting happened, what did they do? They climbed right back on that dead horse and now are advocating even stronger controls! What a bunch of idiots! There are so many analogies that could be made, but just to quote one, blaming guns for these mass shootings is like blaming the airplanes for the 9/11 attacks. Both make about as much sense! They are such ideologues that they refuse to acknowledge that virtually every demogogue government over the last century got its start by dearming the citizenry (Hitler, Stalin, Mousselini, Mao, North Korea, Cuba, just to name a few. They refuse to acknowledge that every situation where the citizens have been disarmed, violent crime rates and the overall crime rates have risen. It leave the citizens helpless against criminals who care less about the law and will get a gun by theft or by buying them on the black market. GUN BANS are Unconstitutional, and THEY DO NOT WORK! Liberals, get that through your thick skulls!

Did anyone blame the airplanes? No? Has anyone done anything to try and restrict airplane flights to stop things like this from happening? No? But they want to take guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens, they want to restrict how much ammunition, how many rounds can go in a magazine on our weapons, and want to stop the manufacturers from manufacturing assault weapons or even weapons that are "ugly". If we follow that analogy, then we probably need to make airplane manufacturers stop manufacturing airplanes bigger than a piper cub so they cannot bring down sky-scrapers. They should suggest we ground all the airplanes that hold enough fuel to cause fires like those that brought down the World Trade Centers.

Their idea of "fixing" things is always to restrict American's rights. They are ideologues that absolutely have no concept that it is not the tools that are evil, it is not the tool makers that are evil, it is people who use the tools that do bad things. But can they admit that? No, because then they would have to admit that their social experiments where they have removed morality, God, discipline, and punishment from the schools, prisons, government buildings and organizations has failed. They would have to acknowledge that America is an undisciplined, immoral, agnostic, heathen nation, led by undisciplined, selfish, immoral, agnostic, heathen bunch of liberals and that is the reason you have such crazy, unthinkable situations like Newtown, Columbine, Aurora, and on and on and on is the list of unspeakable crimes committed by seriously ill, mentally ill individuals that were never disciplined because the "system" did not want to say that they were unfit for society. So...the liberals in our government just look for other reasons and other actions that they can take which further their agenda, regardless of the truths that slap them in the face. It frankly is time for a good house cleaning and a return to the path that the founders envisioned for America.

We are just about there, America. We have some people with a serious God-complex trying to take our guns, run rough-shod over our religious principles, and use fancy words and lies to try and convince us all that wrong is right, black is white, and good is evil, and sadly, a majority of us seem to be falling for it. Why would I say we are falling for it? Because about fifty two percent of the voters in this last election re-elected a man who had done absolutely nothing constructive in four years in office, had increased our debt by 50% in four years, squandered over a trillion dollars on ponzi schemes to reward contributors, backed union thugs in armed confrontation with law-abiding citizens trying to keep states from going bankrupt, cowed down to Muslims, prayed with Muslims but refused to lead the country on its recognized day of prayer, and purposely divided our nation, committed character assassination on one of America's finest families and business leaders, and refused to take any action which got four Americans killed in Bengazi, Lybia, then lied to the nation about who committed those crimes, and stone-walled Congress investigating how our ATF provided guns to Mexican drug cartels, which ended up being used to kill an American border guard.

Who are the haters? The Liberals, and a self-centered, greedy, self-gratifying bunch of gullible Americans were foolish enough to believe the garbage the man spit out and re-elect the lying piece of trash for four more years.

Do I sound like I hate? I confess, I do. But I do not hate people, just the ideas that they try to shove down the rest of our throats that go against everything that the Constitution, the faith of our founders, and the country's history stood for prior to 1947. Open Letter & Caution to President Obama

Dear Mr. President,
I am more scared for my country now that I have ever been in my life, because I feel like my President is a treasonous, underhanded liar that is intentionally doing things that he believes will destroy the nation that has been the United States of America since 1776.
You come from somewhere, we cannot be sure of where, because every piece of supposed proof of your U.S. Birth, has been brought into serious question as to its authentisity. You got grants to attend college where you claimed to be a foreign student from Kenya. You attended Muslim schools, you pray with Muslims, but refuse to lead the nation in prayer on the National Day of Prayer. But besides these, there are actions that you have taken that, if looked at with independent eyes, tell of a person who is intent on destroying the United States economically:
You have nearly doubled the entire debt of this nation from where it was after the first 236 years of our nation in only four years. That caused our nation's credit rating to be lowered for the first time in its history. Your proposed budgets would push our debt up another twenty-five percent in the next four years, putting us in the same category as near-bankrupt nations like Greece, France, and Italy. Your healthcare plan is going to push American's healthcare into another government-controlled, single-source healthcare system similar to what England, France, Greece, and other European Community nations now have, which statistics prove is a sub-standard healthcare system by any measure as compared to what America has. An now, you make the dumbest statement I have ever heard when you state that America does NOT have a spending problem. Really? You confirmed your stupidity when you made the staement, and telegraph your intentions to keep spending borrowing forty cents of every dollar you spend, driving the nation into bankruptsy.
Now, you are attempting to institute some type of gun-control, your first-step in what everyone with half-a-brain knows will lead eventually to some type of gun seizure plan. Now you are saying that you will bypass Congress and use an executive order to raise the debt ceiling by relying on a sentence or two in the 14th Amendment to our Constitution, which, under the broadest of interpretations could NEVER have been interpreted giving you the right to by-pass Congress (except by liberals like you who just interpret it any fashion that supports your liberal agenda).
It is obvious from previous comments by you and other liberals that you think the Constitution is antiquated and needs to be "re-interpreted according to today's societial standards. WRONG! You do not have that right. The founders instituted inside the Constitution what the process was to change the Constitution. You are attempting sedition, and that is dispicable. It is my firm belief that your intent is to destroy the Constitution, destroy this nation, then re-shape it according to your Socialist, liberal agenda.
Mr. President, that would be a very grave mistake for many reasons:

The soldiers of this nation take an oath of office to defend that Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. They do not take an oath of office to defend traitors or individuals trying to destroy the Constitution. It is my absolute belief, as a retired veteran of two military campaigns, (Vietnam and Desert Storm), that I, my fellow retirees, and most of the active-duty soldiers of today would view your actions as treasonous and an attempt to overthrow the Constitution and establish a dictatorship should you make such an attempt. Frankly, Mr. President, most of us do not like you. We think you are a coward, anti-American in your root beliefs, and a coward. We believe you sacrifice four brave Americans at Bengazi just so you could win an election by sustaining the lie that Al Qaeda is no longer a power. I and my fellow soldiers believe you betrayed us and sacrificed those men for your political power play.
There are approximately three hundred million guns in this nation, owned by law-abiding citizens. Your announced intentions to institute some type of gun control are uniting us more than you will every understand. Do you really think that you can convince us to give up anything to an administration like yours, one that we do not trust as far as we could throw an M-1 Abrahams tank? If you really believe that, Mr. President, you are a damn fool. Nothing would unite us more than if you tried that, and I sincerely think, Mr. President, that your actions would end up in an armed insurrection that would overthrow your government. After all, Mr. President, ninety percent of us believe Congress is inept and unable to accomplish anything. Most of us believe that you are a liar, a closet-Muslim, and a socialist with the intention of destroying this nation. Actions like trying to sieze guns or restrict our ability to get the guns we want would only solidify that image and our resistance to you.
If push came to shove, Mr. President, I believe our military would not be willing to fire on its own people who are doing nothing to instigate a conflict, and are only attempting to do what the Constitution says we are entitled to do. As many of the military that cannot stand you, you would have a mexican stand-off of gargantuian proportions, and you would lose, because EVERY legitimate gun owner in the nation would be against you, and like me, many of them would be willing to fight any attempt to sieze our guns to the death.

So there you have it, Mr. President. You do not undersand it, but you are in a no-win situation. No matter what you decide, you lose. Your choice is to lose peacefully and live within the intent of the founders as they wrote this Constitution, or possibly die by attempting to destroy it or circumvent it and forcing several hundred million gun-owners to take a stand against you, one that there is no way you can win.

Your choice, Mr. President. I just hope you are not that stupid.

The Federal Government is after your guns! Be certain of it!

The ideal of controlling guns is as old as leaders realizing that if the people they are trying to control do not have weapons at all or weapons that are inferior in quality and quantity as the government has, that they can control the people. That is how Hitler did it, how Tojo did it, and innumerable other leaders in this world's history. It is a proven fact throughout history that when the citizens private weapons were confiscated, the governments eventually became despotic and abusive governments.
There is a misconception among the citizenry that our founders put the Second Amendment to the Constitution in place in order to give the citizens the ability to protect themselves from criminals, foreign enemies, hostile indians, and wild animals. While these are true statements, that is not the main reason that the Amendment was put in place; and the actual motivation for that Amendment being put in place is exactly what America is facing right now. Jefferson, Washington, Adams, and many of the other founders had, from their experiences witnessed what happened to an unarmed citizenry in Europe. They knew that the natural tendency of big government was to gradually and with absolute certainty, was to take away the citizens' freedoms and replace them with more autocratic, authoritarian, and evil forms of government. Our founders knew that the real reason the citizenry needed to be armed was to protect itself against a government stealing their freedoms and enslaving them under abusive, evil forms of government. America is in a very dangerous frame of mind right now. We are all sad about the killings of the 20 children at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticutt. We want to find a way to keep tragedies like that from happening. In the rush to try and stop those senseless acts of violence from reoccurring, we are opening ourselves up to letting politicians who are really only concerned with one thing...securing their power positions in government, by strengthening government's control over our lives and weakening the citizen's powers to force Government into a weaker, less controlling role in our lives.

First, they will define the type of gun the individual should own, then after they have done that, they will make owners who have guns with the wrong type of clip, the wrong physical look (assault weapons), or the wrong caliber turn in those weapons, then they will get the individual pistols, hunting rifles, shotguns. If you are foolish enough to believe this is not their ultimate goal, then you are indeed, naive and have your head stuck in the sand to avoid the truth.

I am a retired U.S. Army Major. As a retiree, I certainly am concerned about this economy. Being on pretty much of a fixed income, and as someone that has reached the age where nobody wants to hire someone of my age, I am looking at a very uncertain future. Yet, as I look at this election, I really get more concerned when I hear everyone saying the economy is the main thing that they are worried about. I think that is a very selfish, very short-range view of what America's real problems are, and that scares the you-know-what out of me.

I spent twenty years serving this nation. The military does something to a person that a non-military person cannot understand. People like Michael Moore, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and, in general, the left-wing liberals of the Democratic Party have no real idea what true love of country is like a soldier feels it. Every soldier, whether he is a front-line combat soldier or a rear-area logistic or personnel clerk understands that as a member of the military, in the time of national crisis, we may be called on to lay down his or her life to preserve this nation's freedoms. Politicians and liberals, on the other hand, look at this nation as a great evil monster, and have a mindset that they are going to be the saviors of our nation by transforming it into a politically correct, socialist, nanny state where the rich are persecuted and taxed into mediocrity, where the poor are continually enslaved by the government through social programs that redistribute income from the rich to the poor in turn for the votes of the poor.

There is a consistent pattern from President Obama and his administration that is extremely dangerous to the future viability of America's future. Obama's dismantling of the military, his outright antagonistic treatment of the Christian foundations of this nation, his statements that “America is no longer a Christian nation”, his refusal to attend a national day of prayer, but his praying with the Muslims on a Muslim day of prayer in Washington, D.C., his refusal to place his hand over his heart during the national anthem, and his disastrous handling of the economy and his government takeover of the national health care system are killing America. Now, his handling of the Libyan ambassador's pleas for help on 9/11 and the ensuing lies and cover-up of the handling of that attack which resulted in the death of the Ambassador and three other Americans are absolutely criminal.

As a student of the connection between this nation's history as a Christian nation [yes...that is what I said, and the beliefs and writings of our nation's founders confirm the assertion that America was founded as a Christian nation]. Our founders fled Europe and England and came to the new world hoping for a life where their economic and religious freedoms to worship God could be expressed according to their own wills, and not dictated by a monarchy or a dictator. They were NOT seeking the absence of religious practice, but the freedom to practice their form of Christianity without persecution.

The writings of the founders repeatedly confessed their belief that the future of this nation's growth, prosperity and freedom from tyranny was dependent upon its reliance upon the mercies and blessing of God. As they declared their freedom, they did so openly confessing that for them to gain and hold their freedom, God would have to sustain and empower them against the attacks of England and other enemies that would seek to enslave them and strip them of their freedoms to pursue their dreams of prosperity through their own hard work and their ability to determine their own form of government and how that government would function. Here are three examples of statements from our leaders stating their belief that following the guidelines outlined in the Bible had to be the basis of our nation's guiding principles, or the nation would not endure:

George Washington said… “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible”
Andrew Jackson said… “That book, sir, is the rock on which the republic rests.”
Daniel Webster said …”If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering and to prosper; but if we and our posterity neglect its instructions, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity.”

President Obama is a man on a mission, and that mission is to move America towards membership in a one world form of government; a huge nanny state that restricts the individual's ability to be whatever he wants to be and earn whatever he is willing to takes the risks and put out the efforts to do. Instead, he wants to allow individuals to earn only as much as this one world government deems is proper, then take the rest away and distribute it as this one world government sees fit in order to...give everyone a fair share and level the playing field. He is a pathological liar, as are most all liberal politicians. They tell the people what they want them to believe, then will lie looking them straight in the face and do all they can to cover up the truth so that their lies will not be uncovered and exposed.

Most politicians are liars today. Their big trick is to “spin” things so that they can twist the facts around and make it seem as though their way of looking at things is the only proper way to view them. That is the very reason that the First Amendment to the Constitution was written, so that there would always be a free press out there and that free press would be the watchdog for the citizens of this great nation against a government trying to lie and manipulate them.

President Obama is a master manipulator. We see it in what is happening with regards to their debacle in Benghazi, Libya. There, the President and his administration's failure to act caused the death of four brave Americans. Then, instead of telling the truth about what happened, the President and his cohorts have gone into full stone-walling and cover-up mode, trying to put the blame on some independent film casting a bad light on the Muslim prophet Mohammad, instead of recognizing the event as a well-planned, coordinated attack by Muslim extremist groups to cause more harm to America's image on the 11^th anniversary of 9/11/2001. As the evidence continues to come in, the President and his cohorts are only digging their holes deeper as they stone-wall and refuse to discuss the issue at all, and the liberal press are barely mentioning it for fear it might cause the President to lose his re-election bid.

This is a man that needs to be stopped. He and his entire administration need to be run out of Washington D.C. on a rail. He is un-American, he is a economic fool, an incompetent and gutless commander in chief, and he WILL destroy America. It is time for Americans to realize that there is really something more important than their own pocketbooks. We need to be Americans first in this election. We need to protect America first, and stop this fool before he has another four years to dismantle the America that our founding founders created.

To the people of America, and especially those in Ohio...I beg you to look beyond this temporary economic situation. America is a resilient nation of brave, industrious people, and this nation will recover from the economic recession in the long run. Instead of wasting your worries on the temporal things like the economy, look at a bigger picture of America's future; that of its destiny as ordained by our founders and by God. America was formed as a nation where people were free to be all that they could make themselves to be. We were a nation whose foundations were structured around Christian principles; a nation that feared God, yet understood that by putting God first, our nation's future would be bright and the freedoms that the nation was founded to provide would endure. If you want our nation to endure and prosper, you must turn aside from this socialist, this anti-Christian, closet Muslim, and this evil, diabolical, despicable excuse of a politician and leader that lied and bamboozled himself into the Presidency and elect a man that has shown true moral, religious, and ethical strength, and has experience in creating success, rather than failure.

If you respect our military, I can tell you that virtually every military person that has been involved in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is NOT supporting Obama. We think that he is a joke, a HORRIBLE leader, a fool, and a dangerous lunatic. We felt the same way about President Clinton. We still believe that Islamic militants are a serious threat to American citizens. We love America, have made the commitment that if required, we are willing to lay down our lives to protect American freedoms, but we do NOT want to die if we are being treated like political cannon fodder to protect a nut-case's fear of offending people who want to kill us. I care NOTHING about offending people who want to kill us; I want to kill them BEFORE they kill us, and unless you vote this sorry excuse of a Commander in Chief out of office, I can promise you that it is not a matter of IF, but only a matter of WHEN his weakness against the Islamic militants will result in another disaster like 9/11 happening here in America, but probably with more disastrous results than the first one. It is only by the grace of God that the number of deaths on 9/11 was not in the twenty to thirty THOUSAND, instead of the 3,000+ that occurred in the first attacks.

I appeal to your love of country, your belief in the military, and your sense of national security to NOT vote for Obama, but to vote for Romney. Obama is a loser; he is a con-artist, a liar, and a fool. He is an American hater, a socialist, and a closet Muslim, and we cannot stand another four years of this.

American women that are standing on the rooftops and screaming that there is somehow a huge subplot among conservative Americans to take them back to the days of the stone ages is about the biggest bunch of horse hockey that I have every heard of. Talk about politics gone crazy! But what is scary, is that the Democratic Party and the liberal, anti-God, anti-Christian, anti-life psychopaths that are trying to convince the world that conservatives are anti-women are actually having some level of success.

WOMEN OF AMERICA, WAKE UP!!! You are being played like puppets on a string, and apparently you are just so willing to go along with it that you have sold your brains, your common sense, and your real freedoms to the gods of liberalism and sexual freedom.

Anytime someone comes up with any statement that says that abortion is anything but a God-given right to a woman at anytime, under any conditions is automatically branded a whack-o, a woman hater, a chauvinist, and worthy of contempt, destruction, and damnation. But let's go back a few decades and look at the way his abortion controversy came to light. In the 1950's, abortion was a crime. The Catholic church went so far as to say that in the case of having to choose between saving the mother's life and the child's life, the child's life was to take precedent. In those days, sexual purity until marriage was still something that was believed in as a virtue and something that was highly venerated by society.

Then, along came the sixties and the “free love” movement. The temptations and introductions of mind-altering drugs into high school and college kids' lives became more and more commonplace. The U.S. Supreme Court in 1973 in Miller -vs- California abandoned the nearly century old Regina -vs- Hecklin measurements for defining obscenity and opened pandora's box, so-to-speak, which has got America (and the rest of the world) to the point that full nudity and pornography is as common as seeing Lucy and Desi in granny robes and full pajamas was in the 50s; it is now impossible to protect our children from pornography.

The sexual revolution of the sixties and seventies culminated in a landmark case that is both hated and revered by women all over; Roe-vs-Wade in 1973, which by the Court's reading into the protection in the Constitution of due process as provided in the 14^th Amendment {Section 1.All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.} . That this somehow extended to a woman having absolute control over what she does with her body in private, therefore if she wishes to kill her unborn child, that is her Constitutional right is beyond comprehension. Especially if one examines what the writers of the 14^th Amendment were intending to accomplish when they wrote it.

This decision along with innumerable others that time does not permit listing , in my mind, proves that the U.S. Supreme Court is a purely political body, subject to the political mindset of the continually changing waves of public sentiment, and as such, makes its decisions not on what the intent of the provision of the Constitution being debated was intended by its author(s) to provide the citizens of the nation, but instead on the pressures and social agenda of the day.

Seriously, someone would have to be a very creative individual to first of all read into this article of the Constitution anything that could be construed as there being any issue of privacy of a woman's body that would allow her to destroy a life within her. That is infanticide, plain and simple. A child, absent of any proactive actions, from the moment of conception would continue to grow and eventually would pass out of the womb and into the world as a living, breathing human being. It takes a physical act of intervention (murder, infanticide) or an act of God to stop that process. That physical act, until this really stupid and cruel ruling by the Court in Roe-vs-Wade was called murder, and had been for centuries.

This paranoia by women that it this effort to halt abortion is an attempt to put them back in their rights for equal treatment under the law is absurd. It is the work of women who somehow think it is better to all women to have the right to have unprotected sex anytime they want, then if by some mistake they become pregnant, rather than have their lifestyle cramped by this new life, it is legal to kill it before it ever sees the light of day.

I have a real problem with that on a lot of levels:

In today's world, contraceptives are readily available. A woman can buy birth control pills for about $9.00 a month, or if indigent, can get them free at Planned Parenthood. There really is NO excuse to have unprotected sex anymore. If a woman is too impatient, too 'liberated”, or too anxious to take precautions before having sex, that should not be a reason to kill an unplanned, unwanted child. If she has no protection, nor does the man, then they should NOT take the risk of having sex; they should wait. If they cannot wait or cannot go get protection, then if a pregnancy results, that is NO excuse to kill the child.
I remember what it was like to be a young boy, but I also remember that my parents instilled in me something called respect for a young girl. I was taught that to make sexual advances to young ladies was an insult to those women. Today, women seem to have been taught the exact opposite; that if a young man does NOT make sexual advances towards her, that she should be insulted. I guess women are being taught by society that the only thing about them that deserves respect is their sexual attractiveness. Is that what you “liberated women” want...to be viewed as worthwhile only if you can elicit sexual advances from young men? It is beyond me how that can possible be considered a woman being treated equally in society. What about your brains, what about your contributions to society, what about your morality, what about your service to mankind and your fellow citizen? WAKE UP, ladies! You are being manipulated and maneuvered by advertisers, Hollywood, and liberals into becoming a single-value person; a sexual animal, good for breeding purposes, but nothing else, and you are letting it happen and the destruction of your real self-worth is being conducted by your own misguided liberal gender.
Women today are being told that they are paid less than a man doing the same job. That is not right, and I believe that if a woman does the exact same job as a man and does it equally as well as a man, then the two should be paid the same. Period!
I get REALLY MAD when I hear women get up and say that if a person does not agree with Roe-vs-Wade that abortion should be legal, that man wants to suppress women's rights and drive them back into the homes and make them all “good little wives”. That is hogwash and a purely political, self-serving, divisive tactic to deflect the real heart of the issue. People who object to children being treated like a mole or tumor instead of a person understand not only the physical sciences have proven that life begins at conception, but that to take the life of an innocent, unborn child under any circumstances is a criminal act against a defenseless, innocent person, and should be considered as murder.
- Well, women are constantly throwing up the cases of what if a woman is raped, gets pregnant from incest, or the life of the mother is threatened by the continuation of the pregnancy. What should the law say, and what should women do there? Honestly, those are difficult questions that I cannot answer. If measures are taken immediately after sex which prevent the baby from ever being formed in the mother's uterus, I am not morally or theologically equipped to determine whether that is a crime or a sin or both or neither. However, if the child is formed in the mother's womb, then we still have the same situation as initially mentioned; under what (if any) circumstances is it proper to destroy a healthy fetus that, if left alone, would develop and be born as a human child? Morally, and legally, that seems to cry out as murder of the most innocent of our citizens, the defenseless, innocent child.
- Many state and federal laws are on the books that state that someone who kills a pregnant woman and in that act the unborn child also dies will be charged with two murders. Those laws recognize the life of the unborn fetus as that of a human being. Why does the method of conception of the child change the circumstances or the status of that child as a protected citizen of the United States of America or the State in which the child is conceived? Those laws do not differentiate on whether the woman was married, unmarried, whether the child was conceived in love, through rape, or through incest. They just say it is a person that was murdered.
- There have been numerous studies done since Roe-vs-Wade was made law. Some of the more recent ones by organizations like The Alan Guttmacher Institute and Planned Parenthood's Family Planning Perspectives show that of all abortions performed, approximately one percent (1%) involve rape or incest claims, and approximately six percent (6%) of abortions performed involve situations where the life of the mother might endangered. Therefore, approximately ninety-three percent of all abortions performed are done as a matter of convenience to the mother. That equates to approximately thirty-nine million children (worldwide) being aborted each year for the convenience of the mother.

These statistics are extremely alarming. Every day in America, approximately three-thousand, seven hundred children are killed in the womb, or even more grotesquely, while being partially born, or even after being born. In my mind, that is just wrong, and no amount of justification or poorly concieved argument by a sick and warped U.S. Supreme Court can justify it.

Women, if you want to be given equal treatment under the law, then do things that would justify it. But standing in a crowd and demanding the right to kill an innocent, unborn child to me does not evoke sympathy or support. It evokes the most vile form of contempt I as a man can imagine. It to me represents a woman who values herself in one venue, that of a sexual object, and is demanding the right to be a totally irresponsible, and if required, murderous sexual object in order to feel equal. Anyone that demonstrates that type of mentality is, in my mind, no equal of mine, but something to be pitied, avoided, and prayed for.

By the way, I believe that every woman deserves the chance to do any job in the marketplace, as long as she can do it. But I do NOT believe that an employer should have to make any “special” arrangements for a woman to do that same job where a man would not need any “special” arrangements. It is not my responsibility to have to pay extra to get a job done just so a woman can be given that job. You want equal treatment, that is exactly what you get. If you can do the job, great. If you cannot, I am sorry, but to expect me to pay extra or to accept sub-standard performance just so a woman can fill the job...not something I feel I should be required to do, unless I cannot find a man that can do the job, but a woman that can do it with a “special” arrangement. Then, OK.

The end result must be an equal or better performance by a woman in a job for that woman to receive equal or better pay.

And ladies, no sense trying to dream up a thousand “what-ifs”. Every scenario can be scrutinized to death and a thousand twists added which change the situation. The general guideline is equal pay for equal work for men or women. But if you demand respect, you earn that, and screaming “WAR ON WOMEN” to keep a right to kill an innocent, unborn child...that only evokes contempt on my part; not respect in any shape, form, or fashion.

No, What America now have are a bunch of Pharisees and Sadducees sitting on the benches in the Federal Courts who may know the letter of the law, but are either clueless to what the authors of those laws or articles intended, or who are just so vile that they could care less what the intent was, and they try to twist the “words” so that they can meet a goal of changing society to meet what they think it should be, depending on their political and social beliefs of the day.

Our Forefathers understood the danger of twisting the intent of the laws as they were written and using modern-day interpretations or language when deciding cases. Listen to what some of the founders said regarding changing the purposes of laws:

In a famous early Supreme Court Case, Church of the Holy Trinity v. United States (1892)United States Supreme Court, the court stated this: It is a familiar rule that a thing may be within the letter of the statute and yet not within the statute, because not within its spirit, nor within the intention of its makers. . . . [F]requently words of general meaning are used in a statute, words broad enough to include an act in question, and yet a consideration of the whole legislation, or of the circumstances surrounding its enactment, or of the absurd results which follow from giving such broad meaning to the words, makes it unreasonable to believe that the legislator intended to include the particular act.
James Madison, 4^th President of the United States, to Henry Lee on June 25, 1824: “I entirely concur in the propriety of restoring to the sense in which the Constitution was accepted and ratified by the nation. In that sense alone is the legitimate Constitution. And if that be not the guide in expounding it, there can be no security for a consistent and stable, more than for a faithful, exercise of its powers….What a metamorphosis would be produced in the code of law if all its ancient phraseology were to be taken in its modern sense.”
President Thomas Jefferson wrote this to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court William Johnson June 12, 1823: “On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed”

When the U.S. Supreme Court decided in the middle of the 20^th century to abandon a century and a half of using the original intent of the authors of the Constitution to determine the constitutionality of a modern law, and instead decided to use the current court's judgment and see if it could find a modern way to interpret the “words” of the Constitution and therefore re-engineer American Society according to the society's social opinions of the day, it set the stage for practices that destroyed the America that our founding fathers intended to establish when they wrote the documents two-hundred plus years ago.

Women, get your head out of your reproductive parts and look at the world in rational terms. You have progressed amazingly over the last few years in equality in the job market. Women are flying fighters and participating in combat in the military. You have changed the mindset of corporate America to where they view women as equals in capability and performance in virtually every category. Yet your gender seems willing to forgo all of these gains and still define your equality status on the ability to kill your unborn children upon demand, with virtually no restrictions on justifications for doing so. Get real, women. You are more than this, and it very degrading to yourselves and your gender to identify your equality by this criteria.

Shame on you for degrading yourselves by these actions.

IN GOVERNMENT: "FACTS" -vs- "STATISTICS" Don't be misled!!!

I read an interesting article lately by Leonard Pitts, a nationally published commentator from Florida, who wrote an article entitled “The unemployment rate and GOP’s ‘War on Reality’. In that article, Mr. Pitts makes what sounds like a very logical argument that because the GOP is questioning the “facts” of the Obama administration and the liberal press's claims that the unemployment rate dropped to 7.8%, they are waging a “war on reality” so that they can discredit the Obama administration and win votes. Mr. Pitts thinks this is wrong, claiming that in order for rational decisions to be made, there has to be a commonly agreed upon body of facts. That is a very valid point, but where Mr. Pitts fails in his analysis is that “facts” are indisputable information. I am male...indisputable; Mount Everest is the highest mountain on earth...indisputable. Government statistics, are, unfortunate, not facts; they are statistics, and every first year business major that has taken Statistics 101 knows the adage “GIGO”, or “Garbage in, Garbage Out”. Simply put, if I make a statistical claim, the validity and the accuracy of that claim is based upon what data I use to develop that claim. If I use valid sampling rates from a valid body of evidence for my numbers, and I properly evaluate those samples, and I properly state the margin or probability of error in those calculations, then I can draw a fairly believable conclusion from that data.

There are two critical components that must be done accurately in order to come up with believable statistics:

The body of evidence from which the sample of data is collected.
The size of the sample

A third factor is important, but it is related to the first two, and that is the time factor of when the sample of data was collected to when the outcome is reported.

For example, if I am sampling the percentage of shirts that are produced with flaws in them, then I should take an equal number of samples each day of production over a specified period of time. I should take a sample large enough to be representative of a typical production run, I should take the sample from the same style and size of shirt, and I should take a sample that would be representative of all of the individuals that are involved in the production of that shirt.

If my sample is too small, then I stand a chance of not having a large enough number of flawed shirts in order to accurately project the probability of getting a flawed shirt.

If I take my sample only on a Monday, then I am probably going to get a higher number of flawed shirts that if I took samples from Monday, Wednesday, and Friday because more people are going to be “recovering” from the weekend and are therefore more likely to make a mistake that could cause a flawed shirt to be produced.

If I take my sample from the slowest period during my production year, then I am more likely to get a sample with the smallest number of flawed shirts because my workers are not being pushed as hard to meet production demands, and can pay more attention to detail as they manufacture.

For example, If I am calculating “unemployment”, I can determine one set of numbers using the total number of persons filing for new unemployment compensation nationwide as a “set” of data point. But, to insure a representative and accurate sample, I also must include some other factors, such as a estimate of the total number of vacant job positions available which are filled, the total numbers of deaths in the categories of individuals looking for work, of individuals who died that were included in the numbers of individuals working, and I SHOULD include the numbers of individuals who gave up looking for work because they could not find a job,because they could not find a job that paid enough for them to feel justified in going to work, or just decided that they could get by working odd jobs that do not go into the statistical calculations.

Out of all those “statistics”, there is only one that is available readily to have fairly reliable data, and that is the number of new applications for unemployment. That is data readily available from government computers. The rest of the “variables” in the equation are “estimates” based on a statistical “model”. Variables are bodies of data that, if not properly calculated, can significantly sway the overall outcome of the end result being sought.

For example, in this example regarding unemployment, if I want to slant the result to reduce the unemployment statistic, I could do several things:

I could choose to include an estimate of the number of new jobs which was created that are still unfilled to a LOWER number. By doing so, the percentage of people that are employed as compared to the number of jobs available would be a higher percentage, thus making the number of people unemployed less.
I could take a sample of those who are finding jobs as compared to those who are not finding jobs from a cross-section of the population where the likelihood of individuals finding jobs is statistically higher.
I could “estimate” the number of deaths in the sampling body of individuals seeking jobs to be higher than it should be, thus lowering the numbers of individuals looking for work

Mr. Pitts argues that for a valid decision to be made, we must have a set of “facts” that both sides can agree on as valid from which we can begin our debate. I wholeheartedly agree. For that to happen, however, there must be universal agreement that the statistical analysis from which the “facts” being used to come up with the “facts” is a valid analysis, and in today's political arena, we both know that the probability of that happening is, as the old cowboy used to say “slim and none!”. BOTH sides can, with a great deal of validity, find data that was used to create the facts in question which cold sway the statistical conclusion in a direction that is favorable or unfavorable to their liking.

That is why, in MY opinion, it is a mistake for the citizenry of a nation to rely too heavily upon some statistical analysis to decide who should be a President or not. When the nation does that, then it becomes not a decision that is based upon what direction is better for the nation in the long run, but what side's representatives are the more cunning and convincing debaters, and when that happens, that comes down to which candidate lies the best.

The decision on who should be running our nation is a decision that SHOULD be based on which candidate is trying to make America the nation that our forefathers wanted it to be, and that is a nation where the individual states had the responsibility and the Constitutional authority to make most of the decisions regarding how to govern its citizens.

The majority of the founders of this nation were vehemently against a big, overly-controlling central government. They established a very strict process by which an individual could become a citizen of this great nation. Which party wishes more to protect America against an uncontrolled influx of illegal aliens?

The founders of this great nation wanted this nation's government to be constrained by the people, not visa-versa. Which party is in favor of less regulation and more freedom for its citizens?

This nation knew that the ultimate protection of the citizens against a tyrannical central (Federal) government was the citizen's rights to bear arms. Which party is trying the hardest to protect that right, and which party is trying to turn those rights over to a world-governing body like the United Nations?

This nation's most fundamental founding principle was freedom of religion. Which party is trying to destroy that freedom by regulating churches fundamental beliefs in the sanctity of life by mandating that those (or any church) that believes abortion is murder still be required to provide insurance coverage to people that will allow for abortion and birth control to be covered FREE for those desiring it?

America should be looking for one type of person to lead this nation, whether it be as President, or as an elected Representative or Senator, or as a judge. America's citizens should be looking for an individual who could care less about whether or not they are re-elected to an office or not. We should elect or an individual that goes to Washington with a solemn sense of obligation to do what his constituency want him to do, as long as that is consistent with the Constitution. If his constituency want him to do something that is NOT consistent with the Constitution, then he should either convince them that it is not consistent with the Constitution, or he should simply tell them that he will not vote for that, and then let them decide whether or not to send him to Congress or the White House or not.

That was the way this nation was founded, and was the principles of the first elected individuals. Career politicians are dangerous creatures; they become arrogant, become jaded by the adulation and praise of those seeking favors from them, and they become corrupted by the power brokering that is part of the Washington scene today. Our existing politicians are “party” animals; they cannot think, they simply will do exactly what their party leaders tell them to do, or they will be punished by getting insignificant or menial committee appointments or no committee appointments at all. That is where our citizens have allowed our government to evolve to. Our own apathy in government's goings on while we pursued our own selfish interests have given our representatives a free hand to vote themselves benefits and perks from the public treasury and to make themselves virtually invulnerable to prosecution or persecution. We should be ashamed.

Mr. Pitts is a self-professed liberal. Mr. Pitts is NOT a “reporter”, he is a columnist. As a columnist, he is entitled to present his opinions. However, as a responsible columnist, he should at least be willing to explain when he makes assertions like he did in his recent article mentioned above, that the “facts” as he is describing them, are certainly not “facts”, but statistical assertions that can be shot full of holes, or be verified as virtual “facts”, depending upon who is analyzing the way the “facts” are derived.

Both political parties are quick to “slant” their studies to hopefully present themselves as the side to which the statistics point as being correct. Unfortunately, unlike the old days, there are a lot of very intelligent people out there just waiting to show them for what they are. Both are liars, cheats, and not to be trusted any further than they can be thrown. Both candidates in this race have their strengths and weaknesses. But Mitt Romney, in my humble opinion, overall is the most truthful. And, unlike Barack Obama, he will tell people to their face what he is going to do whether or not it is something that he knows they will like or disagree with him on. Plus, he AND Paul Ryan have stood up for the principles of the founding fathers, where Barack Obama seems determined to destroy those principles and install a socialist-style, big, burdensome, intrusive, type of government which will, in the long run, take complete control of our healthcare and treat senior citizens like the movie “Soylent Green”, only not to be used to be made into Soylent Green food to feed the masses that are now on government assistance.

Remember the words of Thomas Jefferson:

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. “

““Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” (Quoting Cesare Beccaria)

“To take from one because it is thought that his own industry and that of his father’s has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association—the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.”

My favorite: “God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”

The Bliss of Flying Fighter Aircraft

I'm a bit melancholy tonight. I saw a picture of some young Naval Aviators having a good time after doing a flyover at a recent LSU Football Game. That brought back a flood of memories when I flew what was, at that time, considered the most powerful airplane in the world, holding all of the speed and time-to-climb records world-wide, the McDonald-Douglas F4-D Phantom II Fighter/bomber. Most of you probably know I flew fighters in the USAF from '69 to '74. I was a Navigator/Weapons Systems Operator in the back seat of the aircraft shown above. (That's me in '71 when I was "younger!" with the 9th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, about a month before we were deployed to Southeast Asia.)

I was trying to describe to my friend with the Naval Aviators that having once done this, there is really nothing that can replace that sensation, and that I miss it terribly. I've tried to describe it, but up until tonight, I felt like I've always fallen short. But tonight, I remembered something I learned in OCS and Flight School; a famous poem that is sort-of the theme poem of the USAF. It is called "High Flight". What follows is what that poem, and what I wrote to my friend(s) to try and put some of the wonders of flying such an aircraft in my own words.

I hope whoever reads this enjoys it and, hopefully, can get just an inkling of the sensations that flying something like this provides. I have not flown this aircraft since July of 1974, but I think about it every day, and the memories are as vibrant and exciting as they were thirty-eight years ago.

"High Flight"

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth

of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air....

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace.
Where never lark, or even eagle flew —

The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
- Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
I learned this poem when I was in flight school back in '69 and '70. I've never read anything before or since that captures the love of just being in the air in a magnificent flying machine, unbridled by earth or boundaries. To feel the burst of speed when afterburners ignite, slamming one back into the ejection seat; to see billions of stars not twinkling, undimmed by fog or shimmering lights from cities while soaring over a totally dark jungle at midnight over some unknown jungle in Southeast Asia. To feel the force of eight times one's own weight pressing you down into your seat, then in a moment's time, hanging in the straps as the maneuver transitions into negative g's and any loose object is flung against the canopy, only to be cast back down in another second as the positive g's are re instituted. To fly at five hundred miles an hour with an airplane on each side of you with three feet of overlapping wings, doing loops and dives and rolls; to feel the sensation of knowing the slightest mistake will send multiple millions of dollars of airplanes hurtling towards the ground, but yet know that you will not make that mistake, because you are trained better than any aviator in the sky.
Nothing can, or will ever compare...and I was blessed by God to actually do it! To be part of the best, and to beat that airplane into submission, and survive. GOD! That was living...and I miss it with ever breath I take.
