The Great Sand Dunes (Photo Dump)

2013-06-17T19:28:00.003-06:00

Last week I went to The Great Sand Dunes with my family for a few days. It was nice to get out of town and to have something to do while Chase is on tour.

The first night we stayed at a campground in Gunnison, CO. It was by FAR the best camp ground I've been too. They had paddle boats, fishing, alpacas, sheep, horses, a play ground, a pond to feed fish, a huge deck that overlooked the pond, and of course really pretty views. Because it Gunnison and Gunnison is beautiful!

The next three days we went a few hours away to the sand dunes. It was pretty amazing. If you're ever in the area I highly recommend it! I've been there before, but I was about 5, so I didn't quite remember how amazing and huge they are!

Unfortunately, I get too lazy to bring my good camera everywhere. So most of these are just from my phone, but as least I got pictures...

The Un-perfect Is What Makes Life Perfect

2013-05-29T01:54:00.000-06:00

So many things have been happening these past few months and I could be kicking myself for not documenting them or taking more pictures and REALLY not keeping up on my blogging. But sometimes I think it's ok to just sit back and enjoy what's actually happening around you.

Just some deep thoughts at 1:30 in the morning...
I really haven't been he best wife, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, grand daughter, or friend. This is what I'm really trying to work on.
They're what matter most to me in the end.
Even though selfishness or laziness get in the way far too often. it's really all that matters.
The people around you.
I have to be the best I can. For them. Or at least try.

I'm far from perfect and my life is far from perfect. But sometimes all we can do is try our best and know that everything is gonna be ok. Life isn't gonna end up how we plan anyway.

Stop worrying about failure.

Stop wishing things were different.

Enjoy your life and be happy. With the good and the bad.

And LOVE the people you meet along the way.

Emery Ann

2013-04-11T23:10:00.002-06:00

This is my new niece Emery. Born on March 8th. She is just the cutest little thing and she's literally the most quiet baby I've ever met. I have yet to hear her cry. She's just so content and relaxed all the time. It's really nice to have another little baby here to pass around during family get togethers. It feels like it's been forever. Also, her middle name is the same as mine! I couldn't stop smiling when I found that out :)

All I have to say is, all my sibling make some mighty cute baby's!!!

Henry Ryan

2013-04-11T22:59:00.000-06:00

This little cutie is my new nephew Henry :) He was born on January 24th (and I'm just now getting around to posting this...) I haven't been able to see him in person yet cause he's up in Washington state, but my parents got to go see him for two weeks! I'm just a little jealous.... He sounds perfect though! And I can't believe how stinkin' identical he looks to my brother! I can't wait to meet this little guy. Hopefully he doesn't grow up too much by the time I get to hold him...

He's already gotten so big...

EIGHT!

2013-03-25T12:16:00.001-06:00

This dude's eight today! I can't believe how fast he's growing up... He's gonna be a teenager before I know it. But I really am proud of him. He's such an awesome nephew and he's turned in to such a great big brother! Happy Birthday Zayah!

LaRae threw a camping themed birthday for him yesterday that turned out so cute! She throws awesome parties even when she had a baby just a few days before... (I"ll have pictures of my new niece up VERY soon!)

Last weekend my parents and I went to New Mexico for my Great Grandmas 90th birthday. It was so nice to see all my family down there. And I fall more in love with New Mexico every time I go!

Sun & Snow

2013-02-13T10:05:00.001-07:00

The other day it was snowing while it was super clear and sunny. It was one of the prettiest things I've ever seen :) So I just had to take a few pictures of it (although they don't do it justice of how pretty it looked).

23 Before 24

2013-01-28T23:20:00.000-07:00

It took me a while to come up with 23 goals this year, but finally, a month later... here it is.

So far it's been going good. I'm one chapter away from finishing my book for January and I've been doing lots of organizing and re-decorating. Hopefully I keep it up!

....aaaand I just realized that I wrote 25 on the last one instead of 24. Fail...

Goblin Valley 2012

2012-11-03T23:10:00.000-06:00

Last weekend we went on our yearly camping trip to Goblin Vally. Not many people have heard of it which is surprising to me cause it's just plain amazing. There's been a bunch of movies filmed there including this music video by The Killers

it looks just like that but, um... without the white tiger.

This is a sideways panorama view of the valley that looks kinda weird cause I just patched like 4 picture together (in my hillbilly kind of way).

2nd Annual Wine & Cheese Partaay

2012-10-12T22:33:00.000-06:00

I guess we've decided to make this an annual thing since me and Liz have so much fun putting it together! It's also nice to have one last big outdoor party before it starts getting cold. (BTW isn't the fall amazing?! I'm gonna say that about 100 more times this fall...).
Anyway, I'm still learning my camera and have no idea how to take night time shots so excuse the terrible quality... ahem.

(and thank you to Miki for taking most of these pictures while I was being lazy)

A Proud Aunt Bin-Bin

2012-10-07T22:46:00.000-06:00

Since my last post we've celebrated both of these little kiddos 2nd birthdays

It's so crazy that they're already... toddlers?!
They were born like yesterday...

I seriously can't believe how old they are now :(
Happy birthday to you two 2 year olds!

Ok time to stop looking at baby pictures or I'm gonna start crying.

Happy Campers

2012-08-31T15:09:00.000-06:00

This weekend Chase and I took a last minute camping trip to the top of the mesa. It was a perfect time of year to go up there! The nights are still pretty warm, but it stays nice and cool during the day and somehow there were NO bugs. I didn't see even one mosquito!

Our trip consisted of biking, camp fire watching, Woodchuck, brats, and Regge. A recipe for some great camping!

While collecting rocks to build this fire, I somehow got poison ivy all over my hand. So this fire caused me a lot of pain.... But I'd have to say it was well worth it ;)

Webb Reception

2012-08-27T18:05:00.000-06:00

I do realize that it's Monday and not the week that I said this would be on but we took a last minute camping trip this weekend.

These are a few pics from the wedding celebration for my uncle Johnny and his new wife (my now aunt) Terri. They've been married for a while, but it was cool to be able to all get together and celebrate it :)

Also, The decorations were so amazing!!
(And my SIL makes the best cakes)

Cardenez Wedding

2012-08-19T15:26:00.002-06:00

I've taken pictures at three weddings this summer so I will be posting all of them this week.

The first wedding was my friend Alena and her husband Josh. They live in Dallas so they had a small wedding there and then afterwards had a reception here in Colorado. Which I might mention was ADORABLE!
