What is Klout ?

Klout measures your online influence from all your social networks. Anywhere you have an online presence, you can influence people by creating or sharing content that inspires actions such as likes, retweets, comments and more. The more attention your posts receive, the more influential you are. Klout uses this information to provide you a Klout Score that measures your overall influence.

So how does it help you ?

Well I know you will be asking why do I need another application to log into, that is just human nature.

Klout provide you with insights to help you better understand your own influence:

• Do others trust your opinions online?
• What topics are you the most influential on?
• How do you compare with your friends?

So then its 2012 and we are nearly all ready to hit the "grindstone" again for another busy year. Many have already broken their New Years Resolutions and the opening of presents seems a long time ago.

What steps are you planning to take to launch your business into the next gear ? With the poor economic state we all need to innovate to stay ahead of the game. This is where I can come in and help. Social media is going to be even more important than ever before.

With Social applications such as

1. Pinterest
2. Facebook
3. Twitter
4. LinkedIn
5. Instagram

Now this is only [5] of the popular ones there are many more and I might just write a blog post about the benefits of using them all another day.

The simple fact that done correctly you can generate a genre specific following that will become your "super-fans".

What is a Superfan ?

Basically Superfans are your biggest marketing tool and FREE too. These fans are actively selling YOU and YOUR product automatically. They have experienced your service, and are telling others how great you are.

This is where Social media comes into its own. Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are marketing machines, you attract followers that are interested in what you have to say and also sell.

So whether that is a service or product these people are all being added to the best FREE mailing list and database you can possibly have. You can see what % are of a particular age / gender / location and then message them with specific and well targeted advertising or special offers.

Social media should not be ignored, many say they "do not have time" yet spend lots of money on very poorly targeted and specific advertising which is not only wasting time but it is also costing them money to do it. Many of the people I encounter are not actually too busy they just do not understand how to use Social media effectively.

Posting to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn does not mean you have to re type the content three times. Linking your social media is so easy and saves you hours of time whilst still keeping you in the driving seat of your business.

So over the coming weeks I am going to show you how to maximise the use of all the different social media platforms and help you integrate them within your website / blog also.
