Engagement Photo Mania!

Alright kiddies, we have been very busy with fall engagement shoots! The weather is so flawless right now and the city's best photo spots all look amazing. First, we have Amy & Hamilton, who are tying the knot at Montaluce vineyard next summer:

Kimberly & Phil had an adventurous engagement shoot - I know I just said the weather has been flawless and it has, but we got caught in a thunderstorm right in the middle of their photo sesh!! Aggh! Good thing they were such good sports about it, we threw them an umbrella and they rolled with it! First, we took some fun pics practicing their "first dance" moves:

At one point, the rain was so heavy that we had to hide under this mobile bar that was set up for Music Midtown!

Yep! It was pouring! We were all ridiculously soaked at that point.So, we met again the next day and did a re-shoot. Definitely worth it!

...and now we present Katie & Reuben, who are in the final countdown phase for their November wedding! These pics were taken in Little Five Points (with a little bit of Inman Park and Poncey-Highland thrown in).

Nothing like closing out a photo shoot with King of Pops popsicles ~ the banana pudding pop was a huge hit.

Where to begin?? This wedding was beyond phenomenal, ridiculously cool, a dream to photograph and a perfect example of full-blown wedding awesomeness. Allison & Rob had a shindig-to-end-all-shindigs at midtown's Opera, but we started pictures at the the nearby W Hotel and snapped pics while walking across Peachtree St. with the bridesmaids. Kudos to Event Perfect for putting this one together and hooking us up with the job of official paparazzi!

Bouquets by On Occasions:

I told Allison to pretend she was on the Paramount Studios backlot! This girl can rock that 'old Hollywood' look.

The guys were lined up and waiting for the ceremony to begin so that they could walk out first:

....and the girls were hiding behind the curtain before making their entrance, with Queen's "We Will Rock You" blasting as the processional music!All of the guests were stomping their feet in unison!

The ceremony was more like a theatrical production than a wedding!

The dinner theme was street food and everyone enjoyed gourmet burgers, hot dogs and other grilled deliciousness:

Allison brought a secret stash of special wedding tequila -I love a bride who will jump behind the bar and start pouring!

The guests partied all night to the musical perfection that is Atlanta's own Kingsized:

No traditional wedding cake here. Instead, doughnut holes!

It's "Braggie" time! Brad and Maggie got hitched on Labor Day weekend and had a gorgeous wedding at the Cathedral of Christ the King with an awesome reception at the Atlanta History Center. The fabulous team at Watermark Weddings outdid themselves in coordinating this super fun event. We started the day at the St. Regis Hotel, where Maggie was getting ready with the Formal Faces glamour squad:

Naeisha and Kevin had a perfect early fall evening for their outdoor ceremony on the front lawn of midtown's historic Rhodes Hall. The beautiful bride wore a really cool vintage style headpiece that looked so great on her ~ we really tried to play it up in our shots!

The kids in the wedding party lined up perfectly for the processional:

....although the adorable ringbearer, Chase, was not too happy about having to walk all the way down the aisle!

Abby and Mark's gorgeous wedding at Peachtree Rd. UMC was nothing short of spectacular! Both the bride and the groom were naturals for the camera and were wonderfully relaxed for their pictures. Their fun wedding party and families made it a perfect day for both of them as we started the evening in the church's bride's room:

This wedding had the cutest kids in the wedding party! Ring bearer William (Abby's nephew) was a total rock star when he walked down the aisle!

The reception was held at the beautiful Cherokee Town Club, where they make their own wedding cakes and never fail to outdo themselves. Now that is what I would call attention to detail!

OMG, Gigi's cupcakes are SO GOOD! They were set out as the guest favors!

Park Tavern's beautiful Piedmont Room (overlooking the park) was the spot where Ashley and Christopher tied the knot. Patrick captured the day in pictures and the multi-talented team at Watermark Weddings did the wedding planning, coordinating and videography!

Hilary & Nathan's Wedding Weekend ~ August 13th and 14th, 2011

Wow - Hilary & Nate's wedding weekend was a 3 day celebration that was truly epic!
We paparazzi started on night #2 at the rehearsal dinner Maggiano's in Buckhead.

The happy couple!

A fabulous dinner of family-style Italian cuisine was enjoyed by the guests and many toasts (and roasts!) were made throughout the evening.

Different groups of friends and family sang hilarious songs to Hilary & Nate!

A beautiful quilt was presented to Hilary & Nate as well!

The next day, Greg and I arrived at the Grand Hyatt hotel to take some 'getting ready' candids before starting the official photos with the wedding party and families. The team at Special T Events coordinated all of the many traditions and events that took place at this very special wedding!

Darryl Wiseman Flowers did a fantastic job with the bouquets and ceremony/reception decor:

Hilary and Nathan did not see each other until the Tish & Bedeken ceremony. This was such a fun part of their day - here is Hilary being escorted out by the moms with klezmer music by Tevyah (and singing and clapping by the wedding guests!)

While the girls sang and danced, the guys sang, drank top notch bourbon and the excitement built for the couple to finally see each other in wedding wear!

The men paraded through the hotel to get to the bride and present the groom to her!

Here comes Nathan, escorted by the dads - these are some of the best moments of the day - everyone was singing loudly and joyfully as tears of happiness were shed!

Then they signed the marriage documents and had a wedding ceremony in the ballroom:

Rupert's Orchestra was on fire! They kept everyone dancing all night!

Wonderful toasts were given by the MOH and best man:

At the end of the night everyone participated in benching, followed by more dancing!

Patrick photographed Brittany & Brian's brunch wedding with their closest family and friends at the magnificent Georgia Aquarium. The Arctic Ballroom was the site of the ceremony - but before that, photos in front of the huge viewing windows were a must. The team at Watermark Weddings made sure everything ran flawlessly and the whole event was watched over by the aquarium's famous Beluga whales!

The guest's place cards were all hanging from a beautiful tree of bling!

Atlanta's best, Chaplain Jeremiah O'Keefe West officiated the ceremony:

A delicious brunch was served by Wolfgang Puck catering, accompanied by perfect music from The Neons:

The newlyweds were psyched to ride off in this gorgeous silver Rolls Royce from Lovely View of Heaven limos. Congratulations, Brittany and Brian!

Alison & Tony ~ July 30, 2011

This has got to be one of the prettiest churches in Atlanta for a wedding - First Presbyterian Church, next door to the High Museum in midtown. Alison and Tony celebrated in style with a fabulous summer wedding here, followed by the reception at The Biltmore's majestic Georgian Ballroom. The Whole Shebang did a phenomenal job coordinating the event and On Occasions florist designed the bouquets and stunning reception decor.

Dani & Taffar ~ July 16, 2011

Dani & Taffar said "I do" at the beautiful 103 West, but we started photos at the St. Regis hotel, right across the street. This was a collaborative photo effort with Patrick, Greg and Sandra and also the great wedding planning teams of Atlanta Classic Events and Watermark Weddings. Taffar is the nephew of our good friend DeeLane Eades of Graceful Tables, so it felt like we were there with family!

Florist Bill Breuer brought in roses galore:

The Formal Faces team was at the hotel getting everyone glammed up for the wedding:

Dani & Taffar decided to see each other before the ceremony and do all of their pictures together then. We set it up so that they could have a moment alone before going all over the hotel for pictures!

The great thing about these two was that they were naturals for the more "formal" pictures such as this, but could break out into crazy photobomb mode at any time!

We all walked across the street together for the wedding ceremony & reception at 103 West. This is the happy MOG and FOG!

DJ Jimmy Economos kept everyone on the dance floor all night!

Patrick also photographed Taffar's brother Devin's wedding to Lexy a couple of years ago. As you can see, this is a very shy and reserved family!!

...and the newlyweds walked back across the street to St. Regis after the party. Now they are in Disney World, having a fabulous honeymoon - congratulations, Dani & Taffar!!

It's great when we get to photograph a fun bride's wedding, then get invited to photograph her sister's wedding a few years later! That is how we met Gabby and it was wonderful joining the Jones family again for her wedding to JP at Sacred Heart Church and the Piedmont Driving Club. The team at Watermark Weddings orchestrated this spectacular event and ran everything flawlessly.

Darryl Wiseman Flowers designed the gorgeous summer bouquets:

A quick thunderstorm popped up, but that didn't stop Gabby from getting a few pics outside right afterward - even though it was a steambath outside!!

Gabby's nephew Carter was the ringbearer and loved riding on the trolley to the church!

Gabby and her dad went straight from the trolley into the ceremony and Greg got these great moments out in front while they waited to go in...

Lauri and Marc had a gorgeous ceremony in the grand ballroom of the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, followed by a non-stop, calorie burning, crazy fun reception in that very same ballroom! Magnolia Events coordinated this spectacular event and Darryl Wiseman Flowers did all of the decor.

Lauri's bouquet was wrapped in material from her mother's wedding dress:

When Austin arrived at Peachtree Rd. UMC to put on her wedding dress, she was positively beaming and it was obvious that this was going to be a fun wedding. She and Blair had a great group of friends and family in their wedding party and we kept each other laughing all day! Jonathan from Evolution Video filmed it all and the flower decor was by Flowers From Us.

A classic Atlanta wedding with a few UVA touches thrown in! That is what Honour and John had in mind when they got hitched at St.Luke's Episcopal Church and had a swingin' reception at Piedmont Driving Club. Patrick photographed the event, along with his trusty associate shooter, Mitrina. The fabulous team at Watermark Weddings coordinated (and also provided a videographer for the evening) and David LaVoy designed the gorgeous flower arrangements. Enjoy!

Elizabeth and Will's super-fun wedding was a classic summertime Atlanta affair, complete with our famous afternoon thunderstorms! Weddings at the Four Seasons Hotel are always stunningly gorgeous and Tess & Brian's was no exception! Ok, so we had to dodge a major thunderstorm that occured right at the 6pm ceremony time and move the planned outdoor ceremony indoors. But thanks to Terry Saxe at Special T Events and the hotel's staff, all was well and the couple and their wedding guests had a blast. Darryl Wiseman and his team did a fabulous job with the the decor and flowers,too!

It was the perfect setting for an afternoon wedding - the Alston Overlook at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Janet & Randy had a small group of close friends and family gather for their outdoor ceremony, followed by cake and yummy appetizers by A Divine Event. But first, we took them all over the gardens for pictures together!

A beautiful summer wedding was what Amanda and Matt had planned and it was the perfect evening with all of their friends and family! The ladies of Magnolia Events orchestrated the day, beginning at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead (where the ceremony took place), followed by the reception at Cherokee Town Club. We started out with some 'getting ready' photos at the hotel:

A Legendary Event designed the chuppah and did all of the decor at the reception - stunning!!

The Westin hotel in Buckhead was the setting for Heather & Jason's spectacular wedding! The great thing about photographing such a fun couple in a place like this is that we could take them around to every possible spot in the hotel for cool photos and have a blast doing it! Terry Saxe from Special T Events did a marvelous job planning and orchestrating Heathson's (their Hollywood name) big day...

Heather gave her bridesmaids embroidered spa robes!

Look, it's Pam & Stewart cookies!! Uncanny resemblance! These two adorable redheads had a stunning wedding at Trinity Presbyterian Church , followed by a party-of-the-year throw down at the Buckhead Theatre. The team at Toast Signature Celebrations pulled out all of the stops to make sure this was an unforgettable day for everyone.

We started at the St. Regis Hotel, where Luxe Beauty Co. got the girls camera ready and Pam got into her FABULOUS wedding dress from Impressions that everyone was ga-ga over:

The wedding party enjoyed a cold one before heading over to the reception:

The Maxx was perfect - they played mellow music during dinner, then they kicked it into high gear for the rest of the night!

Affairs to Remember caterers had endless stations of incredible food everywhere:

At the end of the night, Pambler walked back to the St. Regis with their wedding balloons. Then they were off to Mexico for their honeymoon. Congrats, guys!!

Ginger emailed us at the last second (April!) to see if we could photograph her morning wedding to Miles at Emory's Little Chapel and reception at the Houston Mill House. Luckily, Patrick was available to save the day! They started off with some family photos at the church:

After the ceremony, everyone was treated to a fabulous lunch at the Houston Mill House, with the cakes as the focal point. Ginger is a librarian ~ take a look at her 'stack of books' cake! Awesome!!
