I know this is going to sound strange but I was in Next the other week looking for some new jeans and a nice top. Then I saw THIS TOP and thought that would make a great card. So I got out my note book and jotted down my inspiration.

Here is my card

I punched the flowers from vellum I then arranged and glued them onto strips also cut from the vellum. I stamped them up with <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/qBVMn-ci-04" height="1" width="1"/>

Daisy ring

A second post for me to day and I want to get this done before I go to bed. Every one else in my house has gone up but I'm still tapping away on my keyboard.... how sad am I...

Well I had better get on before my eyes give up and go to sleep without me.

I made part this card yesterday and didn't know what to do with it. I had tried a few things but they hadn't looked quite right <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/1d5zYvS-8LE" height="1" width="1"/>

Cascade

This post tonight is a little tutorial for Cascade cards. I had a request for this a couple of days ago from Peta.
Here is a link to the post that shows the cards I made last year

So here go's

You can make this card with any size card but for this I am using 12" x 12" double sided card.

You will need two sheets of card . This will make two cards. When using pattend papers, <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/ztdkiwFYEZg" height="1" width="1"/>

Small Sprig with Pink flowers

This is my second post and my second entry into the Simply Less is More challenge. I couldn't leave it alone and had to have another go. This time I kept it really simple ( bit like me...LOL )

I used the Small Sprig stamp from Clarity Stamps again. I stamped it three times to create the panel within an embossed border.
I then drew in the pink flowers with my Zig Art &amp; Graphic twin<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/v-JCEyR9eDY" height="1" width="1"/>

Purple flowers

I hope you are all well and enjoying the fine weather we are having this morning.
I have not long got back in after taking the dog for his walk. It was a bit on the cool side just nice for a brisk walk, we went over the fields to Mapperley village then down into Shiply park. We stopped for a coffee at Derby lodge and then back home again via Bell Lane. Even though we have had snow this week, spring is defiantly on it's way. Evey where I look there are shades of green as new shoots start sprouting.

I went over to the Less Is More web site and the challenge for this week is ...... Three Shades of Green.

Well by chance I had made this card last night that didn't quite fit the bill....

So I remade it.....

Both cards are made <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/ESem0tXhS_4" height="1" width="1"/>

Butterflies in Spring????

O M G what has happened to the weather. It is snowing, cold, wet and horrible. And couldn't be more different to yesterday. Trouble with snow this time of year is it turns to slush and looks yuck. I don't mind snow but I hate cold wet SLUSH...

I bet the Robin nesting in our garden isn't happy with the weather either......poor little thing..... Well the weather to to day has been beautiful and a lovely day for walking. I do hope it has been as good where you are.
I walked over the fields near where I live with our dog Dan. We went the long way round to Shipley park Via Mapperly and back again a distance of about eight miles or so. Unfortunately I didn't take may camera with me. When we got up into the woods at Shipley park<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/AHOPEa02S_c" height="1" width="1"/>

Paper Folding

In the class this morning we made two cards with paper folded embellishments. ( well almost two cards we didn't get time to quite finish the second card)

The first was paper folded Hearts. This card is an adaptation of a card a friend had made.

I searched the internet for instructions on how to fold the hearts and I found this You Tube tutorial
It is easy to follow. To make <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/-hZs4P6xqDc" height="1" width="1"/>

Balloon in flight

Just a quick little card

and my second card entry for Less is More Masking challenge. This one was so simple I just masked off the top and bottom of the card. Then I used torn paper as another mask for the sponged in hills and sky. I then over stamped with the balloon and the little birds.

Thank you for stopping by and I will see you again soon.

Here is a little card I made for a customer. An unusual request.
But I said I would give it a go. I was asked to make a Pagan card depicting the Moon Goddess.

Not having anything in my stash remotely like it I had to set about making the embellishment. A perfect time to put my Pazzles Inspiration into action. In the software that comes with the machine I drew the elements that <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/X0a-hD5Ozxw" height="1" width="1"/>

Steampunk...ish popup card

Here is one for the men in our lives. I don't know why it is but we seem to struggle with men's cards for some reason. Well with all the steampunk being all the rage at the moment I think it has made things a bit easier.

I'm not overly keen on it myself so I have done a watered down version cos I like clean and simple cards. Full on Steampunk is to much for me.

Most weeks I go over to the Less is More blog to see what the challenge is for the week. I haven't joined it with a challenge for a long time now cos I either have not had the time or I just couldn't think of an idea to fit the theme.
Well this week it is masking. This just happens to be a favourite technique of mine. I'm not that good at it but I do enjoy having a go.

I hope you are all well.

OK for a good few months now I have been meaning to get around to having a play with the Split Tree stamps by Clarity stamps ......and to day I did.... Yippee.... I know, I can hear you saying "calm down dear" but I can't help it I just love these stamps.

Anyway the inspiration for this card has come from my walk to work in the mornings. Hi crafter's,

I know it's been a while since my last post but life just seems to get in the way of me and the computer sometimes.

I do have a few cards to share. I try my best not to let life get in the way of making cards LOL.

This one is a pop out flower card. I saw the instructions for this a couple of years ago but never made one. Then I saw it again in last months Craft Stamper <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/rBcQTdanR80" height="1" width="1"/>

iPhone card

I hope your year has got off to a good start.

Here is an idea for a card and my first card of the year.

It is always difficult making cards for men or teenage boys. This is a card I made for a customer. She said he liked mobile phones and was always on his, so could I do something along those lines.
Well I said that I would, then went into a panic because I had nothing in my stash<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/ZjvUSRG8oQ8" height="1" width="1"/>

.....Happy New Year......

Well that's it all bar the shouting... the presents have all been given, received and opened ( Did you get what you wanted?) and we have eaten far too much....... Thank goodness Christmas only comes once a year.

I hope you have had a lovely Christmas, whether it be the hectic visiting of family and friends and the endless round of parties, or a quiet stay at home Christmas with <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/bmvmQ41oKDU" height="1" width="1"/>

Christmas Door Tutorial

I don't know what the weather has been like where you are but it has been pretty foggy here all day. As a result the poor dog didn't get his 6 mile walk today. I did take him for a run in the fields. You couldn't see from one side of the field to the other so at times I couldn't see Dan.

Oh well on a brighter note I have a little tutorial for you. I have had a couple of requests <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/BsDGNKX3sCY" height="1" width="1"/>

A Bead Adventure

Normally my craft is card making but every now and then I like a change. Well this weekend I have made myself a beaded necklace.

I used seed beads and stone chips, the chips are of two different colours. Aqua and brown. I'm not a seasoned beader so I used a tried and tested simple spiral rope design . I used the seed bead as the core bead and the stone chips for the spiral <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/GY_gCrPvP_8" height="1" width="1"/>

A Clarity Stamp Christmas

I have more cards made with the Noel stamp from Clarity Stamps.

This is a one layer card. The stamped Noel is masked off and the background is sponged inside the O then I have over stamped with the Camels. I then masked off Noel again but this time I have sponged in the background outside The O. I used torn paper as one of the masks to create the sand dunes.

This next card <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/5onbLwmi-Rk" height="1" width="1"/>

A Fantasy Fibre NOEL

Well it is a wet and miserable Monday afternoon. I do hope the weather is better where you are.

On to today's card .

Here I have inked up a Clarity Noel stamp with Memento Paris Dusk, laid some of fantasy fibres over the image.then placed a heat proof sheet over the top of the fibres. Then with a hot iron, ironed over the lot.

This was just an experiment but it turned out so <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/DkxfW9l5v9c" height="1" width="1"/>

Just one more character

Last week I posted a couple of character cards, I mentioned I could see a cat as a card, so, here it is.

To build the face I used circle and heart punches. I have had so much fun with these.

I know I said I would post the dimensions for these cards in a couple of days. Oh well better late than never...

To make these cards I used a card fold I found on SplitcostStampers and <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/uR3UoWfj5yo" height="1" width="1"/>

A couple of Side Spring Card Characters.

Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since my last post.

I have a feeling you might forgive me though. I have a couple of cute little characters to show you. I got the idea for these from HERE at Splitcoststampers, there is also a great tutorial for the card fold.

These cards are both made on a side spring card. As I work with A4 card most of the time I have made these from A4 card<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/T04GjMNW3uI" height="1" width="1"/>

Draw a branch

This card was inspired by Paint Fusion, one stroke painting it's a technique I couldn't quite master. I had a few practice attempts they were ok-ish I suppose but I wasn't happy with the results . Later I got the idea to have a go with my Art and Graphic pens. After a few more practice runs I was much happier. I was now ready to draw the branch on to my card blank.

Ready to <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ThePinkshopBlog/~4/oX5n2dhf_wo" height="1" width="1"/>
