Falling off the face of the planet...

2013-08-08T16:21:00.000+05:30

Hey all....

We are soooooooooo sorry for not being able to connect in last OMD!...6 months.

Mumma has been super busy with the new office and responsibilities that even when I was doing a loads of stuff, she never got to share them with you all. There are soooo many things I would like to share with you. About the little one (who is not so little anymore), About my monsoon picnic and About my second birthday and About making new friends and About the hip problems and About my new toys...phew... the list goes on and on and on...

So, here's a sneak preview of what is soon to come your way...

The little one is not so little anymore...

Me being Grandma's Pillow....

New toy and me... sharing a nap time

Wordless(?) Wednesday

2012-12-23T23:00:00.003+05:30

Is that....FOOOOOOD???

Come little one, share the food with me..

Ohh noooooooo.......

I'm disappointed in you, Little One..

Wordless Mischief??

2012-12-20T13:08:00.001+05:30

I slayed an Alligator... and I'm gonna KEEP IT...

Note from Mumma:
THAT little tiny alligator figure was a toy that the little one's cousin brought with her...and Pluto stole the squeaky toy from a one year old baby.... BAD PLUTO...

Hip Dysplasia... whats THAT???

2012-12-06T23:58:00.001+05:30

Hey guys... Long time no see...

Well, since Mumma moved out of grandma's house and I don't live with her anymore, she finds it difficult to blog much about my antics and hyper-activity these days... But rest assured, It won't be long before I and Mumma are re-united. Till then its going to be very irregular posting season for us.

BTW, mumma did drop by with the little one the other day and we went out for a little frolic on the terrace. and you know what Mumma noticed? Well, apart from grandma spoiling me rotten ofcourse.... She noticed that I'm in a much better shape and form and she can't find any signs of Dysplasia in me. Yuppieeeee....

(We are under no illusions that its cured or anything...but we are glad that the medication and care is paying off and I'm no longer in pain and discomfort.) Check out my snaps... Don't I look DASHING...

One year with mom

2012-10-16T13:41:00.000+05:30

Hey guys...recently we celebrated our first anniversary together... me and mom. So, Grandma celebrated it in the traditional Indian way..with Aarti and all... I even got to eat a small amount of sweet that day... Check out... don't I look handsome in my Yellow Polka Dotted T-shirt?

Yellow yellow...Handsome Fellow..

That's Grandma with the Aarti Thali and some biscuits :)

Pluto...the snuggler

2012-10-09T12:11:00.000+05:30

Labs are cutie-pies that think, snuggling is their birth right and their humans are the most preferred BEDS that they want to sleep on... Pluto is no different... You don't believe me? Here's evidence...

That's him when he was
just 2-3 months old, he's claiming my foot...

That's him getting/demanding a rub from Grandma.

That's him hogging a place next to mom after
she got back home from hospital with the little one

That's Pluto claiming his place on Amu D's Lap

That's Pluto with Grandma just after she returned from work

And now is the time for ULTIMATE proof....

Here's when Amu Di was trying to sleep the other night...

Wordless Wednesday...AKA I don't wanna play mom...

2012-10-03T17:12:00.000+05:30

Go away mom... I don't wanna play...

The CAAAAAARRRRRR

2012-09-26T08:59:00.000+05:30

Grand Papa bought a new car for the young one the other day.... Its one of those tiny things that has a flashing light on the top and it topples and turns around to change direction when it meets a wall or something AND it makes a gggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound when its running... so OBVIOUSLY I wanted to check it out...

(Mumma said to say sorry for the quality of video, she's still not very sure why she bought a new phone with such a bad camera; but she's working on correcting that mistake)

Man is a dog's idea of what God should be...

2012-09-12T22:26:00.000+05:30

There are a lot of strays around me...in office premises, in and around the residential complex tat I live...and in Pluto's absence, I've started noticing them more and more. It seems like once your heart is touched by a canine, you can't help but love all of them...kinda like how new moms find all babies cute and lovely. So, getting back the canines...

The predominant kind of canines that are found in and around me are usually referred as Indian Pariah. And they come in all shapes and sizes and colors. There is one sweet little female who follows me around every night when I walk through the parking lot. She's pretty young and hyper, she reminds me of Pluto....only a darker, more healthier version of Pluto may be. Recently there is this new dog that started joining this Black Angel...a mangy colored short one. But one thing that I noticed immediately that if Angel was boisterous, little Orange was the shy one. She never approached me on her own, even when she knew I had biscuits in my hand. What really hurt me, rather shocked me last night, was that Orange was sleeping around a stairwell and I reached out to her from behind. She literally jumped out of her skin. Her eyes were scared. And she won't come near, even after showing her the biscuits in my hand. She was afraid and it hurt to know she was afraid of me. I kept the biscuit on the floor and waited till she approached gingerly towards it. I could see and feel her apprehensiveness and she looked ready to spring in opposite direction at any moment. I couldn't help but wonder, WHY?

I got my answer when I reached home. There was a document waiting for me there. I had applied for a volunteer position with P.A.W.S. near my house. Being without Pluto is grating on my soul and I know I need to get my fill of unadulterated love that only animals can provide. So, I applied for a volunteer position with P.A.W.S. And they had sent the form via courier. One look at the envelop and I got my answer...

Unconditional Love...

Recently saw this ad and simply LOVED it...

NOTE: THIS IS A GUEST POST. I AM FILLING IN FOR MUMMA N PLUTO'S ABSENCE. BOTH SEND THEIR LOVE THOUGH.

Jump jump baby...AKA Monsoon Madness

2012-06-16T22:33:00.001+05:30

Monsoon brings with it a sense of nostalgia, memories of wet days n monsoon treks, of days gone by n laughs shared...and it also brings with it...a crop of creepy crawly tiny insects of all shapes, sizes n variety of colors.

This time around monsoon brought on a new dimension of joy... Pluto's immense curiosity about all flying objects. Though, he'll have better chances of learning to sing before he could catch anything that flies, he does not give up his efforts to investigate.

Here's one video capturing his antics. In this one he's trying to catch a bee. Though, its a bit dated n grainy...his Monsoon Madness is in the same league...

I've been teaching tricks to the baby...

2012-06-16T22:10:00.001+05:30

The little one learned to do this in last couple of days...

Where did he get the inspiration you ask.!.!.

well, I'll have to think about that... let me take my position for contemplate your question...

The joy of riding shot-gun

2012-06-10T22:16:00.001+05:30

After he's been on dozens of car rides, my baby, finally learned the joy of riding shot-gun...

Sorry abt the image quality, clicking in a moving car, aint really easy...

Pluto has a play-date

2012-05-27T00:06:00.001+05:30

Someone came with Amu D's friend the other day

I tried tasting the thing...

Then I tried looking all over...

And tried sniffing

then suddenly the black thingy grrrowled at me...

Turns out, it was only a small black Lab Puppy...

Sleep time is my fav

The jolly abandon of sleep

2012-04-30T16:17:00.000+05:30

Oprah on O magazine's Animal issue cover

"Dogs are my favorite role models. I want to work like a dog, doing what I was born to do with joy and purpose. I want to play like a dog, with total, jolly abandon. I want to love like a dog, with unabashed devotion and complete lack of concern about what people do for a living, how much money they have, or how much they weigh. The fact that we still live with dogs, even when we don't have to herd or hunt our dinner, gives me hope for humans and canines alike." - Oprah Winfrey

Mom took a dogster Quiz... look what she turned out...

2012-04-24T12:46:00.002+05:30

Bath...anyone??

2012-04-21T18:52:00.001+05:30

Sometimes I "really" doubt if Pluto has ANY lab genes... They say Labs are intelligent..when I look at Pluto, he seems to be using his intelligence only when trying to get your attention. They say Labs are easily trainable, Pluto seems to be wanting to learn how to get you to drop your food, human food... They say Labs are voracious eaters, Pluto never runs behind his food. They also say Labs love water...well, here's the evidence, you decide...

This is how it starts... Mom tricked me into thinking we are going for a frolic to terrace...

I tried talking her out of it... Mom, I really don't need a bath

Then, I tried to find if there was an escape route...

Can I at least try to the water beforehand??

But she tricked me, hosed me when I wasn't looking..

What could I do, but to surrender???

Get off me... Get off me.... Get off me....

Smiles all the way...
