Fat Tax Debate Leaning Towards Taxing Manufacturers

Research shows that more and more Americans are eating an overabundance of foods that contain greater amounts of high fructose corn syrup and sugar. By ingesting these foods and not including exercise or a healthier diet, more American’s are suffering from obesity on a daily basis.

Researchers at Iowa State University have explored the different types of foods that contain high fructose corn syrup and sugar. They have researched the affects that these types of food have on Americans. They have sent a request to the government to inquire about taxing certain foods that are greater in high fructose corn syrup and sugars. By doing this they hope to help consumers limit the amount of sugar, they put into their diet. This will help foods to become healthier for the American public. They hope that this will also help to lessen the amount of obese people in the United States. However, the study was not conducted as a way to diminish the obesity rate in the population.

A national debate is leaning towards placing a tax on foods that have higher sweetener. Instead of taxing the customers at the checkout, they have decided that it would be a better idea to tax the manufacturers before the goods hit the shelves. By doing this, they feel it will help the manufacturers revamp their products before putting them out on the shelves for customers to purchase. This will affect people in many different ways. One way will make the product healthier because the food is made with less of a sugary substance. The second will mark up those foods because of the tax is causing customers not to buy the product and in turn they would become healthier. The third is that because of the manufacturer is being taxed, they raise their prices and the customer still buys it.

Raising the price of foods that are lower in nutrition and higher in sugar can make it difficult for people who cannot afford to pay higher amounts of money for their food. This will definitely affect the poverty population. This will make it more difficult for families who are having a hard time feeding their families now.

Considering the fact that most processed foods such as spaghetti o’s and mac n’ cheese contain high fructose corn syrup and sugars, cheap meals will become more expensive. This will make it financially difficult on people who rely on these foods to feed their families daily. However by consuming these foods, more health issues will evolve with these families as well.

If more Americans are eating high fructose corn syrup and sugar products more, they are more likely to develop diabetes. This will benefit other companies because of the higher sugar intake. Hospitals and pharmacies will benefit more because more people will become diabetic from eating larger amounts of high fructose corn syrup and sugar foods.

If this fat tax comes into effect, it will cause people to purchase healthier foods for their families. It will also provide families who cannot afford to purchase healthier foods because of their cost, to buy even less and depend more on their food pantries.

High fructose corn syrup and sugar is usually the number one ingredient on most processed foods in America. By eliminating this ingredient, these foods can become healthier for all Americans who eat it on a daily basis. This will also help Americans to be able to make better choices when shopping for food for their families. The fat tax, although it may be difficult for those who are already having a difficult time feeding their families, may be helpful in the long run.

Ron Paul - The Big Dog Runs The Best Ads

Who in the world is creating these ads for Ron Paul? Whoever is creating them is doing an amazing job. The ads that the Ron Paul campaign has put out absolutely blow away the ads that the other campaigns have come up with. For example, have you seen the new "Big Dog" ad that the Ron Paul Campaign just put out? It is one of the sharpest campaign ads that I have ever seen. Now if they can just come up with some "End the Fed" television ads I will be really impressed.

Unfortunately, it is not just about who can run the best ads. Ron Paul also needs to do a better job of communicating his core message to the American people. He has been a little shy with his message of ending the Federal Reserve, but he shouldn't be. In times like these, people respect a bold message.

But I must admit that these recent television ads from the Ron Paul campaign are really amazing. Posted below is the new "Big Dog" ad....

This next ad is entitled "Newt Gingrich: Serial Hypocrisy" and it was also recently put out by the Gingrich campaign....

Ron Paul is up to second place in Iowa, and as he has risen in the polls the attacks have become even more intense.

Just check out what Donald Trump said about Ron Paul the other day. The following comes from a recent Politico article....

"As I said in the past and will reiterate again, Ron Paul has a zero chance of winning either the nomination or the presidency," Trump said in a statement in response to Paul, adding, "my poll numbers were substantially higher than any of his poll numbers, at any time."

"Few people take Ron Paul seriously and many of his views and presentation make him a clown-like candidate," he said. "I am glad he and Jon Huntsman, who has inconsequential poll numbers or a chance of winning, will not be attending the debate and wasting the time of the viewers who are trying very hard to make a very important decision."

Needless to say, it looks like this is going to be a very heated campaign season.

So does Ron Paul have a chance at winning the Republican nomination?

Only time will tell!

Is Donald Trump Going To Run For President As A Third Party Candidate In 2012?

He's back! When Donald Trump announced that he was not going to seek the Republican nomination, everyone pretty much assumed that he was not going to run in 2012. Well, that assumption was totally wrong. The truth is that there is a very, very real possibility that Donald Trump is going to run for president as a third party candidate in 2012. Right now, Donald Trump is not pleased with the Republican frontrunners and he does not think that they can beat Obama. If Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney gets nominated, that would make a Trump run for president much more likely. He is very much talking like he is getting ready to run for president, and he is doing most of the things that would be necessary to run for president as a third party candidate. So will it happen? Well, with Trump you can never be sure.

But it would be a huge mistake to write Trump off. He is extremely popular and would make a formidable third party candidate. The truth is that the country is not excited about Obama right now, and there would not be much enthusiasm for a Gingrich candidacy or a Romney candidacy either. There has never been a time in modern American history when conditions have been so ripe for a third party candidacy.

So why didn't Trump just run for the Republican nomination to begin with? After all, he was leading in some of the polls?

Well, Trump realized a few things. First of all, he is too socially moderate to attract the support of the social conservatives that play a huge role in the Republican primaries.

In addition, the whole birth certificate thing kind of backfired on him after Barack Obama produced that "birth certificate" of his. Of course we all know that birth certificate is fake, but the mainstream media bought it and they pounded Trump over the head with it.

So Trump stepped back and did not throw his hat into the ring.

But now conditions seem promising for an independent run and Trump sounds like he is very seriously considering a run for president as a third party candidate in 2012.

Just consider what Trump said during a recent Fox News interview....

"If the Republicans, and I've said this to you a number of times, if they choose the wrong person, and the economy will continue to be bad, because we have people who absolutely have no idea what they're doing leading the country, I think it continues to be a possibility"

He also told Fox News that a final decision would not come until May because of his television show....

"As you know, I can't do anything until May because of the ridiculous laws that talk about equal time, meaning that I have this big television show, so I'm not allowed to do anything. Would I like to do something sooner? Perhaps I would. But the laws preclude me from doing anything until May"

Another interesting Trump quote recently appeared in an article in the New York Daily News....

"Come May, when the Celebrity Apprentice is completed, my contract to NBC is completed, I'm a free agent, as the expression goes," he said. "I can make a decision. You know, obviously it would have to be as an independent."

Trump is thinking about it.

Will he pull the trigger?

Nobody knows.

But he is definitely keeping a high profile politically. In fact, Trump will host the Newsmax Republican debate in Des Moines on December 27th.

That should be interesting.

A lot of people dismissed Trump's talk of running for president before as a "publicity stunt".

Well, in his new book Trump reveals just how close he was to running....

"I was so close (to running) that I had already prepared the Public Financial Disclosure Report required of a presidential candidate. That's a big deal because the Trump Organization is a private company, and people don't know what I'm really worth. So, I had the independent firm Predictive, which is used by government agencies and top companies like GM, Visa, Pfizer, and others, prepare valuations on branding, and we filled out the other areas of the long and complex presidential Public Financial Disclosure Report."

Don't count out a run for president by Donald Trump in 2012.

Someone is going to emerge as a very viable third party candidate during this upcoming election season.

Someone is going to shake up the race for the White House.

In fact, it might be more than one person.

The 2012 election season is going to be very exciting, that is for sure.

So don't count out Donald Trump. There is a very real possibility that he may actually run.

Is Ron Paul Now The Front-Runner For The Republican Nomination?

Is Ron Paul now the front-runner for the Republican nomination? Many in the mainstream media had written him off long ago, but at this point there are a whole lot of reasons to believe that he could actually win this thing. Poll numbers for Ron Paul are surging in Iowa and New Hampshire, Ron Paul has raised a lot of cash, and Ron Paul has built a top notch organization in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Mitt Romney has long been considered the front-runner for the Republican nomination, but most Republicans are not excited about him. In fact, there is a significant percentage of Republicans that will not vote for Romney under any circumstances. Conservatives have been trying to find a viable alternative to Romney, but so far no other candidate other than Ron Paul has generated much enthusiasm at all. Donald Trump got people excited for about a month, but then he decided not to run. Sarah Palin would have garnered a ton of support from conservatives but she also decided not to run. Rick Perry soared to the top of the polls for a while, but his numbers dropped like a rock after a series of disastrous debates. Herman Cain was flying high for a bit, but all of the allegations of sexual misconduct have seriously damaged his campaign. For some reason, conservatives seem to have become convinced that Michele Bachmann can't win. Some conservatives have become so desperate that they have even started supporting a "RINO" like Newt Gingrich. The Republican field is very crowded and Republicans are not rallying around any one particular candidate. This is the perfect environment for Ron Paul to make a run at the nomination.

Ron Paul is still lagging in the national polls, but in Iowa and New Hampshire he is in excellent position.

A new Bloomberg poll of Iowa voters had Herman Cain at 20 percent, Ron Paul at 19 percent, Mitt Romney at 18 percent and Newt Gingrich at 17 percent.

What makes these numbers even more encouraging is that the support for Ron Paul seems to be much more "solid" than the support for any other candidate.

Just check out the following numbers from a Bloomberg article about the Iowa poll....

Among likely caucus-goers who say their minds are made up, Paul leads with 32 percent, followed by Romney at 25 percent and Gingrich, a former House speaker, at 17 percent.

That is huge. Among those that will not change their minds, Ron Paul has 32 percent of the vote.

Other polls out of Iowa show Ron Paul surging as well.

A new Iowa State University/Gazette/KCRG poll had Herman Cain at 24 percent, Ron Paul at 20 percent and Mitt Romney at 16 percent.

Keep in mind that Herman Cain's numbers continue to fall in the wake of the recent sex scandal revelations. Unless Herman Cain can turn things around, it does not look like he is going to be a serious contender.

In New Hampshire, a recent poll has Ron Paul in second place behind only Mitt Romney. If Ron Paul can win Iowa and take second place in New Hampshire that would position him as the "anti-Romney candidate". As other Republican candidates drop out, Ron Paul would pick up a lot of their support.

In the final analysis, there is a very real chance that the Republicans could decide to go with Ron Paul rather than Mitt Romney.

Plus, it finally looks like the mainstream media may be starting to take Ron Paul seriously. As author Jack Hunter recently noted, Paul is doing all of the things that are usually associated with being a front-runner....

"How does the media decide who is a front-runner? By any conventional standards we judge it by fundraising, poll numbers, and organization. And in all three of those- yeah- Ron Paul is a frontrunner. His fundraising is obviously off the charts good, particularly the nature of it - and organization he's second only to Romney, and in Iowa it is the best. In all the conventional ways - he's performing very well"

Many in the mainstream media are beginning to notice that the poll numbers in Iowa and New Hampshire are changing. Just check out this recent interview with Ron Paul on CNBC....

So what does Ron Paul have that the other candidates don't?

Well, for one thing, he generates a lot of passion. That is just not the case with any of the other Republican candidates at this point. Just check out the following video. Who else out there has volunteers that are this passionate?....

We don't see Romney supporters, Cain supporters, Gingrich supporters or Perry supporters making these kinds of videos....

Yes, Ron Paul has some significant challenges to overcome, but he is definitely in it to win it.

As this election season rolls on, we will continue to cover the key political issues of the day. One thing is for sure - America cannot afford another four years of Barack Obama. We need to send someone to the White House that will change the direction this country is heading in. Hopefully America will vote wisely in 2012.

Better Trade Those Fiat Dollars In For Bankable Food

This week I dropped in at the bank and was surprised to see only two harassed employees who were frantically trying to process the long line of customers. Typically there are at least six tellers helping customers at the Credit Union that serves a town of 40,000. When it was my turn, I asked about the shortage of help and the teller, whom I’ve known for years, who replied ”A bank-wide meeting was called. They left just two of us to cover the desk.”

Curiosity had me probing for more, and in no time I was hearing about an increase in defaulted loans. From what the teller shared, they were actually better off than most banks and credit unions. Arriving home, I did a Goggle search to discover that since January 1, 2011, 73 banks have failed: http://www.bankrate.com/finance/savings/2011-list-of-failed-banks.aspx

…And why most of us choose to ignore the warning signs all around us. The truth hurts! It doesn’t help that since the US no longer backs its currency with gold or silver, we are left with fiat money—funny money, if you will—dirty, slips of paper that are completely dependant on the blind trust of the people and governments. That worked fairly well before we shipped our jobs overseas through NAFTA and GATT, and it worked while the economy had the outside appearance of normalcy.

Problem is, as we watch countries like Greece and Argentina fold and hear about the trouble the EU is in, it’s getting harder and harder to put our faith in the greenbacks that once ruled the global economy.

In fact, should the Euro continue to implode, taking more European banks down, Bank of America, Citibank and Sun Trust may tumble along with them due to heavy Euro investments. Add the continuing decline in the housing market, and soon what we may be facing may make The Great Depression look like a pleasure cruise.

Now might be an excellent time for our own personal bail out, because if we wait much longer, those greenbacks may not sustain us, no matter how much Tabasco and salt and pepper we sprinkle on them and it’s for sure the government will not be offering boatloads of cash to “see us through.” Nor will they be handing us meals on wheels.

Consider filling those pantries. Even if your journey takes you to the Dollar Store, get some food put aside. Beans and rice are also a good start. If nothing happens out of the ordinary, you’ve at least inflation-proofed your grocery bill. But if what many of us are seeing as smoke and mirrors comes unraveled, and things get interesting, you will have the means to feed yourself and your loved ones.

Job cuts for teachers leave education grads out in the cold

States across the country are struggling financially, but if you look south of the Mason-Dixon Line you will find many facing budget deficits similar to Pennsylvania's that are making do and maintaining educational funding. States like Florida, which also was facing billions of dollars in deficits this year, managed a slight spending increase on its K-12 systems. Although the amount was expanded by only $1.22 per student, it shows a commitment to seeing that families are getting what they need from their schools. This is also in part because of an amendment that requires the Florida Legislature to provide necessary funding for districts to comply with class-size requirements. For K-3, the maximum number of students permitted in a Florida classroom is 18.

With extensive research from the U.S. Department of Education equating higher levels of achievement with smaller teacher-student ratios, one must question where the focus lies in Pennsylvania. In light of the state's most recent budget, elementary classrooms across Pennsylvania are now jammed with as many as 30 students. This move balanced many districts' budgets, but also negatively affected their quality of education and sent nearly 4,000 teachers to the unemployment line. Also lost in the shuffle are a brand new generation of would-be teachers who must now play the waiting game, migrate to other parts of the country as if the steel mills had shut down all over again, or go into another field.

In an informal online poll of 75 Pennsylvania residents having graduated with a degree in education within the past three years, the outlook is bleak on the financial and professional fronts. All participants in the poll graduated from a Pennsylvania institution of higher learning, with 18 counties and universities represented in the data. Of the 75 participants surveyed, more than 90 percent had not found a teaching position. Amanda Trainor is just one of hundreds of newly certified teachers from across the state, and a 2011 graduate of Point Park University in Pittsburgh. She spoke of the frustrations that many in her situation are facing and said that four years earlier no one could have predicted the massive unemployment that would ensue in the teaching profession in Pennsylvania. Ms. Trainor said this year "was supposed to be a big retirement year in Allegheny County, so we all worked very hard to put ourselves in the best position possible to earn teaching contracts and begin our professional careers."

What Point Park and many other education departments in the region told their new crop of teachers in training was, in fact, true at the time, as the elimination of hundreds of teaching positions in one year hardly seemed likely. In response to the massive funding cuts, suburban districts offered early retirement incentives or eliminated positions entirely to downsize their staff and payrolls.

Why are Pennsylvania schools -- and teachers -- in such a dire situation?
Priorities are shifting from what is the best way to provide a quality education to what is the most cost-effective way. The survey found 30 percent of newly certified teachers felt the recent crisis was a result of a state budget that has de-emphasized the value and importance of education, while 63 percent felt that it was also a mismanagement of funds by school districts. Sixty-six percent of participants had at least considered relocating outside of Pennsylvania to find a teaching position. More than half of new teachers surveyed were actively searching for positions in other states. Among the many things that the uproar over Pennsylvania's 2011 budget has created is a generation of young professionals wishing they could undo history. Participants were asked that if they could redo college, would they still pursue a degree in education. Nearly half said they would not.

Today we have a guest post from a reader named Jim. What you are about to read below will probably shock many of you. The truth is that the Federal Reserve is one of the biggest political issues of our time, but sadly most Americans do not know much about it. Hopefully you will really enjoy the analysis that Jim has put together....

RIP-OFF BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE

PREFACE: This mathematical analysis shows how:

1. The economic scheme in the U.S. of creating fiat book-entry money via T-securities in the amount of the principal of the security with a promise to repay the principal PLUS the interest (i.e., deficit spending), is impossible. The interest is never created. The debt must continually be increased to pay interest on earlier securities or the economy will collapse from de-leveraging;

2. The National Debt can never be paid off. Contracts that cannot be culminated are acts of fraud and are void from their inception;

3. The $8.4 trillion received from 2010 Treasury security auctions is hidden in the coffers of the FRBNY; its destination is undocumented and assumed to be profit of the Fed. (If it is used to redeem securities as claimed, there would be no inflation.) Whether concealment of this income from Congress is in violation of Title 12 section 247 requirement to submit a full report to Congress, or constitutes embezzlement, is for Congress to determine;

4. The Fed eventually receives the value of all issued securities as profit (it is inflation). The expense of maturing securities is not included in government records;

5. Congress has temporary benefit of ($1.4 trillion) deficit spending until maturity of the securities (the collateral). At maturity, the government must repay the value (of the loan) to the security holder. BUT THE VALUE OF THE REDEEMED SECURITY IS NOT REDUCED FROM THE FEDERAL DEBT.

6. Fiscal social obligations of the nation will be restricted while debt will escalate exponentially. Imposed social austerity and higher taxes merely postpones the inevitable.

7. The future explosion of interest (currently suppressed to “stimulate” the economy) and escalating debt will eventually consume the entire wealth of the nation and the future earnings of posterity for the benefit of “financiers”;

8. The operation is, as with any Ponzi scheme, predestined for inherent national bankruptcy when buyers to roll over the increasing debt cannot be found.

9. As the scheme becomes visibly precarious and the Fed becomes desperate, the interest rate will sky-rocket and accelerate the collapse.

The Federal Reserve uses euphemistic smoke and mirrors to obscure their scam. The appearance of the scheme is that Congress receives the benefit of inflation. In reality, it is the Fed that receives the purchasing power from inflation---without public awareness or documentation. With full knowledge the following is not the way the Fed or the government describes the system, allow me to offer a different analysis of their operation.

CREATING BOOK-ENTRY (FIAT) MONEY

Congress can pay for federal expenses with funds collected from taxes, but Congress is never satisfied with this amount. The desire to buy votes/campaign contributions from special interest groups induces congress-critters to spend more, and this is identified as deficit spending. To create this make-believe money requires the assistance of the Federal Reserve.

Congress will give the Fed a T-security (bill, bond, or note) and the Fed will accept the document as an asset of one of the twelve FR Banks. The Fed will then establish a line of credit for the U.S. government (a book entry) in the same amount and list the liability as Federal Reserve Notes. Voila !! Fiat money has just been created for Congress to spend. Ref: 2009 Annual Report to Congress by the Board of Governors, page 448 (for account identification only). http://www.federalreserve.gov/boarddocs/rptcongress/annual09/pdf/ar09.pdf The accumulated securities that have been authorized by Congress add up to the national debt.

If the Fed retained all of the securities (assets), the inflationary pressure created by the extended line-of-credit for Congress would be too obvious. Also, Congress complained several years ago the interest collected was too much profit. The Fed has been forced to return excess profit to the government. The Fed therefore wants to sell a major portion of the securities so it has arranged with the Treasury department to act as auctioneer for selling to the Primary Dealers. This immediately sells the assets of the Fed.

[FN: The Fed recently obtained $700 billion bailout funds. Secretary Paulson begged Congress, on actual bended knee, to give the Fed money and Congress gave them $700 billion in securities. The Fed then swapped the securities to GSE (Freddie and Fannie)/international bankers for toxic MBS‘s---and rescued Paulson’s $800 million in Goldman stock by bailing out AIG. ]

[FN: The 2009 Annual Report lists Assets of $776 billion securities and $908 billion Government Sponsored Enterprise Mortgage Backed securities out of $2.2 trillion total assets. Whether the bailout money, given in large part to international bankers for toxic assets, was a quid pro quo with the PD to avoid lawsuits for fraud is beyond the scope of this writing. The International Bankers do not lightly suffer transgression. The continued mutual benefit of programs, paid for by taxpayers, should evidence Wall Street and the Fed/international bankers constitutes a symbiotic relation.]

The value of any securities not sold by the Fed is still in circulation and becomes the Reserves for commercial banks. Commercial banks, as an aggregate, have no other source of reserves. All money in circulation is originated from T-securities. The reserves, derived from Treasury checks deposited throughout the world, are then multiplied via loans by commercial banks utilizing the fractional reserve practice. (The System Open Market Committee (SOMC) selling and buying of securities alters the reserves---with high leverage---but this effect is applicable only to securities that are already in the public domain.) The Fed currently holds a mere $750 billion of $12.5 trillion issued securities. Ref. http://www.fms.treas.gov/bulletin/b2009_3.pdf. Chart OFS-1.

Observe that the amount of money created by the security is the amount of the principal but the amount promised to be repaid is the principal AND the interest. The interest is never created but payment is required by the agreement. It is impossible. The linear expansion of base/reserve money via fractional reserves by creating commercial loans does not change this. If, hypothetically, all money in circulation was used to pay off the securities issued by Congress, all bank reserves would be wiped out and the commercial loans would collapse---and every dollar of interest on the national debt accumulated from day one would still be due---but there would be no money outside of the Fed’s vaults to pay it.

The debt created by usury based sovereign debt is perpetual; it can never be paid off. The contract cannot be culminated. Any contract that cannot be culminated is an act of fraud. A contract based upon fraud is invalid upon its inception. It would appear the national debt is not legally enforceable. (A debt incurred by a state or municipality is not a sovereign debt as used in this analysis. Such a debt is akin to a commercial loan and is completely repayable---but may be evidence of unwise administration and result in default.)

There are esteemed economists who contend the fractional reserve multiplier is a major cause of inflation. The concept is questionable. Assuming the amount of base money and the multiplier factor remain constant, the creation of fractional reserve money reaches a ceiling that cannot be exceeded until more base money (from T-security issues) is added. The multiplier factor is a mere linear increase of the base money. A major tool of the Fed is to alter the base money with SOMC transactions to boost or quench transient situations. Once the ceiling is reached, only Congressional deficit spending can create new money in circulation.

SOMC operations and multiplier factor alterations change the amount of FRN's in circulation---a debt obligation of the Fed. Only Congressional deficit spending changes the debt obligation imposed on the citizens. However, if the multiplier factor is reduced to zero and banks are permitted to issue currency without limit, this analysis is subject to review.

THE INESCAPABLE WHIRLPOOL OF PERPETUAL,

ESCALATING NATIONAL DEBT

There is more skullduggery involved. Let us assume a newly established sovereign nation is setting up a usury based economy and will issue 100 unit securities, a five year maturity, and an annual interest rate of 20 percent over a span of five years. A high rate of interest and short maturity is used to reduce repetitive calculations. The identifications of Congress and the Fed will be used to convey the images.

Upon the issuance of the first security, Congress has 100 units to spend. At the end of the year, Congress/Treasury has to pay 20 units to the Fed for interest. If the nation had to pay off the security at the end of the first year, the bankruptcy is obvious. There have never been 120 units created. Twenty units could be removed from society but that would leave only 80 units in circulation, cause great financial hardships, and still leave an impossible obligation to redeem a 100 unit security. (This economic diminution would be akin to a contemporary balanced budget.) The solution is to put off the interest payment until the next issue of security for the second year. The interest is paid from the principal created by the second issue.

During the second year there are 200 units in circulation but the actual rate of interest on the second issue is not 20 percent. Since 20 units had to be paid to the security holders, congress only received 180 units to spend (100 + 80) but they are committed to pay 40 units of interest on the security at the end of the second year. The interest rate of 40 divided by 180 is 22.2 percent. Considering the second year alone, the interest is 20 divided by 80 or 25 percent.

When the security for the third year is issued, the interest of 40 units for the first two years securities will not be available for congress. Congress will receive only 60 units for public projects but will have to pay 20 units interest at the end of the year. The 240 units received by congress (100 + 80 + 60) will require 60 units of interest at the end of the third year. The cumulative interest rate (60 divided by 240) is 25 percent. The interest rate for the third year alone (20 divided by 60) is 33.3 percent.

At the start of the fourth year, the security will have to cover the interest charge for the three prior years of 60 units. Congress will receive 40 units for government spending. The 280 units received by congress (100 + 80 + 60 + 40) will demand 80 units of interest at the end of the fourth year. The cumulative interest rate (80 divided by 280) is 28.5 percent. The interest rate for the fourth year alone (20 divided by 40) is 50 percent.

The security issued for the fifth year will pay the 80-unit interest for the prior four years. Congress will have 20 units to splurge. The 300 units received by congress (100 + 80 + 60 + 40 + 20) will require 100 units of interest at the end of the fifth year. The cumulative interest rate (100 divided by 300) is 33.3 percent. The interest rate for the fifth year alone (20 units received--20 units in interest) is 100 percent.

At the end of the fifth year, 100 units must be found to redeem the maturing security issued the first year (that “loaned” 100 units to the government) in addition to 100 units of interest that must be paid. Congress has an obligation to pay 200 units. This factor alone makes it obvious that more debt must be incurred to continue the scheme. The inescapable whirlpool of usury debt can only avoid obvious default by increasing the value of future securities. Increasing the value of issued securities merely postpones the inevitable result.

As the sixth year approaches, the Fed holds 500 units of securities that must be redeemed by the Treasury before year eleven. The Fed has already received 200 units as interest while Congress retains 300 units from those securities. Before year eleven, the securities will accumulate an additional 300 units of interest payable to the Fed. That accounts for the entire 1000 units of securities and interest that have been involved over the five years. (Each of the five 100 unit securities involved 100 units of interest.)

Do not let the subtly of the numbers escape you. As the example demonstrates, the Fed receives the total value of the security and the interest if it does not sell the security. Only 500 units were created by the securities but 1000 units (interest and principal) were somehow acquired by the Fed. The only way for Congress to get the funding is to issue a 200 unit security at the end of the fifth and subsequent years and ALL of the value will be instantly due to the Fed. The scheme is not only perpetual but it must increase in size to continue.

When the 200 unit security matures, the value will belong to the Fed. And then a larger security must be issued to pay for the 200 unit security and the accruing interest further down the road. This is the methodology of any Ponzi scheme. The increase in the required size of deficit spending must be large enough to make the interest payment a relatively acceptable percentage to minimize public hostility.

The example’s 100 unit roll-over value of year five reached $7.0 trillion in year 2009 with an additional $1.4 trillion securities issued for deficit spending. Ref. Post.

A high rate of interest has been selected for the example to minimize repetitive calculations. A ten percent interest rate will return 100 percent of the security value in ten years; a five percent interest rate will take twenty years. Lower rates of interest merely require more years to reach the same inherent bankruptcy. (Actually, bankruptcy occurs the first year irrespective of the interest rate, but then again, since the debt can never be paid off, the entire scheme is based upon fraud. A contract based upon fraud is void from its inception.)

But 5 year securities are a slow game. If we shifted our attention to 13 week bills, or even four-week bills, each obligation will quickly mature and must repeatedly be rolled over. Each new issue causes the creation of fiat money (inflation) and is profit for the Fed. If time lapse between bid and issue dates are ignored, the roll-over of four week 100 unit securities can be repeated thirteen times within a year. The gain of 1300 units of profit for the Fed only involves 100 units of national debt.

An economic scheme that utilizes later investors to pay the interest due earlier investors is identified as a Ponzi scheme. This is precisely the scheme that has been presented above.

A government publication has noted the fiscal policy insecurity: “(T)his growing gap between (Government’s) receipts and total spending …cannot be sustained indefinitely.” http://www.fms.treas.gov/frsummary/frsummary2010.pdf page 3 of 12. The statement was undoubtedly intended to support confiscation of more wealth from the citizens.

ALL FIAT MONEY BECOMES A PROFIT FOR THE FED HIDDEN BY THE FRBNY; THE OPERATION TRANSFERS ALL THE WEALTH OF THE NATION TO “FINANCIERS”

If a security is sold at auction, as approximately ninety percent of them are, the Fed receives the value of the security from the Primary Dealer and the ultimate purchaser is eventually reimbursed by the Treasury at maturity. Whether auctioned or not, the Fed receives the value of the security. The value of all T-securities held by the Fed until redemption is a clear profit for the Fed, as is the value of all securities sold to and held by Primary Dealers, funds, nations, states, or financial institutes.

Low interest rates will reduce gain for security investors but will provide cheap money for commercial banks to loan. Much of the interest from T-securities held by the Fed must be returned to the government as a result of 1970’s legislation, so the Fed has little motivation to raise rates to make more money--they receive the value of the security.

The handling of auction funds is the responsibility of the Fed. Ref. GAO FINANCIAL REPORT TO SECRETARY OF TREASURY, Nov 2010, page 17. http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/pd/feddebt/feddebt_ann2010.pdf. This writer concludes the sales are credited to an account of the Fed and not to an account of the Treasury. There is no inflation if it is otherwise.

The $8.4 trillion in income does not reveal itself in the ANNUAL REPORT TO CONGRESS; Ref. Tables 10 and 11, pages 454 to 462 REPORT for 2009. Id. (Auctions are not Open Market transactions. Securities that are not sold are assigned to SOMC.) This $8.4 trillion is concealed from Congress and the public.

The NY Fed handles accounting for the securities. Ref. ACCOUNTING FOR TREASURY SECURITIES AT THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF NEW YORK , GAO /AFMD-84-10, May 2, 1984, page 9 of 30, http://archive.gao.gov/d5t1/124060.pdf. The report does not identify the account that is being used to redeem the securities. This writer concludes the payments are debited to an account of the Treasury and not to an account of the Fed.

Confirmation of the Fed’s handling is found in their ANNUAL REPORT: BUDGET REVIEW 2010, “The Reserve Banks auction, issue, maintain and redeem securities…(and handle) paper U.S. savings bonds and book-entry marketable Treasury securities.” p 5.

“Aha!” exclaims a disciple of the Fed. “The above analyze proves the integrity of the Fed. The $8.4 trillion is obviously being used to pay the redeemed securities and the sale and redemptions are off-setting.” And thus would the Fed beguile the naïve. Indeed, the Treasury’s receiving the value from auctions for that purpose is widely proclaimed in media publications. Treasury financial statements claim “borrowing from the public” finances government operations. However, direct transfer of money from the public cannot, in any way, expand the monetary system or result in the creation of fiat money (i.e., inflation) any more than can the payment of taxes by a private entity. The label is deliberately misleading.

The confusion actually confirms the scenario developed herein. When $8.4 trillion in securities is transferred from the Treasury to the Fed, there is a credit on an account of the Treasury (but is considered a liability in a Fed account titled federal reserve notes) and an asset entry in an account of the Fed (titled T-securities). The $8.4 trillion book-entry for the Treasury is used to pay the $7 trillion redeemed securities with $1.4 trillion being available for deficit spending by Congress. The T-securities possessed as an asset by the Fed are sold at auction and the $8.4 trillion belongs to the Fed. Where the value from the auctions is entered into the books of the Fed, and to where the $8.4 trillion goes, is not available information. This is how the fiat money of inflation is created as detailed earlier. It is assumed the IRS knows nothing of this income or profit. Whether Title 12 section 531 or some other provision excludes such income from taxation is for Congress to determine.

Observe the deficit spending of $1.4 trillion requires Congressional approval. The $7 trillion roll-over securities somehow require no Congressional action but occurs automatically. With the national debt at approximately $15 trillion, the average maturity of Treasury securities would be about one year. The interest on the national debt is shown as an expense on the government’s balance sheet. The $7 trillion from the sale of the roll-over securities is not included in government accounting and is concluded to be a profit for the Fed.

INITIATING THE SCAM

Similar historic banking operations declared they loaned the value of the security to the king and therefore they should receive interest from the loan. The pretense is a sham. Congress and the Fed have agreed they are going to rip-off the public by devaluating the currency. Each party acquires purchasing power from the scheme. Congress gives a promise to pay (a security or collateral) which is given to the Fed and the Fed gives a promise to honor the government’s checks with fiat book-entry money (printing press money, i.e., FRN‘s, a legal tender.) A “legal tender” is a commodity that is required by law to be accepted for a contract stipulating another commodity (i.e., the original contract is in dollars; you must accept FRN). It is an acknowledgement of debt that can never be paid because there is no lawful money available. Title 12 section 411 clearly stipulates “(Federal Reserve notes) shall be redeemed in lawful money on demand at the Treasury Department of the United States… or at any Federal Reserve bank.” Good luck with that. You will only receive more debt of an under-capitalized federal corporation shell created by Wall Street bankers during a week-long retreat on Jekyll Island.

To get the scheme started and the con game financed by third parties, it must have the appearance that interest is their source of profit and a gain must be made from the brokerage difference. A prime concern for the Fed under these conditions would be the difference in the value credited to the Treasury account and the value received from the auction. If the value of securities purchased by the public is transmitted directly to the Treasury, there cannot be any inflation, but then there is no gain to the Fed from book-entry money. The percentage taken by the Fed for profit can even be variable but is hidden without an audit.

If the Fed projected a guise of a brokerage firm to sell government bonds to the public to a susceptible Congress, it would be a simple arrangement with minimal investment or risk. The currency in circulation in 1913 was non-interest bearing U.S. Notes. After the operation was set up and the New York Federal Bank was handling the accounting, it would be a simple shift of accounting procedures to have the T-securities accepted by the FR Bank as owner instead of as a broker. The difference allows the Bank to create fiat money (inflation or Federal Reserve Notes) as a profit for the Bank. Whether this falls within the parameters of embezzlement depends upon many conditions.

The 1913 congressional report of objects of the legislation by Senator Glass included the statement “(3) Furnishing an elastic currency…of bank notes…” Perhaps the enumerated powers of the Federal Reserve Banks at 12 USC section 341, paragraph Eighth, might be stretched to authorize the practice of debasing the money. However, the courts have repeatedly concluded the profits of the Fed belong to the United States. Ref. Scott v FRB of Kansas City, 405 F3d 532, 535; In Re Hoag Ranches, 846 F2d 1227. The fact that the income is not reported is suggestive of subterfuge.

To put $8.4 trillion in perspective, the 2010 operation of the U.S. government involved $3.4 trillion and that includes the $1.3 trillion deficit. The entire amount of taxes collected by the U.S. government was only $2.1 trillion. Title 12 section 247 imposes upon the BOG a responsibility: “The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System shall annually make a full report of its operations to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who shall cause the same to be printed for the information of the Congress.” The requirement is not limited to administrative costs. Why does this not include a report of the $8.4 trillion from the auctioning of T-securities that is handled by the FRBNY ??

Good luck on trying to follow this sequence in the accounting records. Even Enron, World Com, and Bernie were able to cook the books---and they were audited. The annual audit of the Fed follows accounting guidelines established by the Fed. Those guidelines do not permit the receipts and disbursements of T-security auctions being examined.

If asked “Who owns the T-securities that are sold at the auctions--the Fed or the U.S. government?” a Fed representative will respond “The securities are a liability of the government.” An astute observer will note the inquiry was avoided; it was not answered.

A newspaper article a couple of years ago informed us the annual increase in interest to be 15 percent while the budget only grew 7 percent. That reflects the exponential growth of interest. More recently the deficit has been increasing much faster to fund/conceal the rapid growth in interest requirement---and to rescue financial institutes from default. Professor Bob Blain, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville has graphed the exponential growth in debt from 1915 to be irregular only during the 1930’s.

In 1790 during Congress’ consideration of Alexander Hamilton’s proposal to pay the national debt with a usury based obligation placed upon the citizens, congressman James Jackson, after lengthy reflection on the devastation similar plans had imposed on European countries and cities, included the following observation to Congress:

“Let us take warning by the errors of Europe, and guard against the introduction of a system followed by calamities so universal…The funding of the debt will occasion enormous taxes for the payment of the interest…(such a system) must hereafter settle upon our posterity a burthen (sic) which they can neither bear nor relieve themselves from.” Ref. ANNALS OF CONGRESS, Vol. 1, 1790, pp. 1141-2.

In actual practice within the United States, a collection of taxes for part of the government spending is well known. Payment of part of the government expenses by taxation does not alter the government’s usury program; for analytical analysis they can stand alone. The ninety year pattern of increasingly larger deficit spending is the escalation as the climax of chaos beyond description approaches.

The end result of economic exploitation by usury is becoming transparent in Europe. As various nations become indebted to “financiers,” the demand to satisfy the debt includes the selling of national heirlooms and infrastructure to the creditors. Airports, roads, government buildings, and all resources are fair game. Ownership of land and resources by a financial oligarchy is but one example of feudalism—the government is mere window-dressing. The outstanding unfunded debt that is even now overhanging the citizens of the United States is more than enough to impose slavery if the people submit. If the people can be brainwashed to believe they must pay the debt, the income tax (if it exists) can be used to confiscate 100 percent of their income and the masses must subsist on government largess. Benjamin Ginsberg documents in FATAL EMBRACE numerous times when societies have revolted against such oppression. What the people of the U.S. will tolerate remains to be seen.

Several years ago, Biden told Chris Matthews of MSNBC's "Hardball" that for a president to attack another nation without the approval of Congress unless the U.S. was being attacked or about to be attacked is an impeachable offense. He used incredibly strong language during this interview to assert that a president must get congressional approval first before attacking another country. Biden could not have been any clearer. So is Biden now a tremendous hypocrite for supporting the Obama attack on Libya? Watch the video and decide for yourself....

Up to this point, most people had considered Donald Trump to be pro-choice. But could he actually be pro-life? During an interview with Laura Ingraham the other day, Donald Trump shocked the political world by making the following statement: “I am pro-life.”

So is he really pro-life?

Certainly most observers had considered abortion to be one of the political issues that would trip up Trump if he ever tried for the Republican presidential nomination.

But now it sounds like Trump is positioning himself to run as a pro-life candidate.

It seems clear that Trump is now pro-life or at least he is positioning himself as a pro-life candidate.

But this does seem to clash with past statements from Trump.

So has Trump changed?

If so, that is a good thing as long as it is authentic.

Is Michelle Bachmann going to run for president in 2012? At this point, it appears that the answer is yes! This has got true conservatives and Tea Party activists all over the United States extremely excited. The truth is that as Sarah Palin's poll numbers have badly faded, those in the Tea Party movement have been looking for a candidate that they can really get behind in 2012. Considering the fact that Michelle Bachmann is one of the top leaders of the Tea Party movement, this has got a lot of people really, really excited.

Right now, Bachmann is saying that everything is still "on the table" and that she will eventually be making a decision about whether or not to run for president in 2012.

Bachmann communications director Doug Sachtleben recently said the following about an upcoming Bachmann trip to Iowa....

"The Iowa trip is part of a bigger picture. There's a national story line here."

Wow! A national story?

Bachmann herself said the following about her trip to Iowa....

"If you speak in Iowa today, most people think you’re running for president."

If Sarah Palin runs for president in 2012, is there any way that she could possibly win? Looking at it today, the answer would have to be a resounding no. As unpopular as Barack Obama is right now, Palin has been losing badly to Obama in poll after poll after poll.

In a brand new Washington Post-ABC News poll, Palin trailed Barack Obama by 13 points. In fact, 59 percent of respondents said that they would not even consider voting for Sarah Palin in 2012.

Not only that, another recent poll found Palin losing to Obama by 22 percentage points.

So will Sarah Palin run for president in 2012? For now, she is playing coy. This week when she was asked if she was going to run in 2012, Palin responded by saying that she is giving it "prayerful consideration" and that a final decision will not be made for "some months".

All along it has been assumed that Sarah Palin would run in 2012, but as the poll numbers just keep getting more dismal, perhaps there is a distinct possibility that she may not hop into the race.

After all, you would think that right now her poll numbers should be at an all-time high. The Republicans were wildly successful in the 2010 mid-term elections and Barack Obama's popularity is at an all-time low.

Unfortunately for Palin, it just seems as though the more the American people get to know her the less they want her to be the next president. Her poll numbers just keep on dropping.

In fact, I personally have seen all over the Internet people declaring that they will never vote for Barack Obama again "unless he is running against Sarah Palin".

Right now Palin has a major perception problem.

So can she fix it in time?

You never know.

She does have millions of devoted followers, and she certainly does have the most "star quality" of any of the 2012 Republican contenders.

If she could somehow pull out the Republican nomination, Barack Obama's popularity may be so low by the fall of 2012 that just about any challenger could beat him.

Stranger things have happened.

But right now Sarah Palin is a horse that nobody should be betting on. If this was the middle of the campaign season you would be able to stick a fork in her already.

Fortunately for Palin, she still has time to turn things around. She should start by getting some much smarter and more competent people around her.

Winning an election takes a winning team, and right now Palin does not have that.

For now she has some people producing some slick videos for her, but it is going to take a whole lot more than this to win in 2012....

One of the most troubling signs is that sales of Palin's new book, "America By Heart", have been below expectations.

If Sarah Palin can't sell books to her hardcore followers now, then how in the world is she going to win the votes of independents and moderates in 2012?

The Palin camp needs to change course and they need to do it now.

American voters usually vote with their wallets, and the Republican candidates that provide real solutions on jobs and the economy in 2012 are the ones that are going to do the best.

Sarah Palin would be wise to study sites such as The American Dream and The Debt which reflect the kind of economic values that resound with hard working independent voters.

What Sarah Palin is doing right now is NOT working.

If she continues down the same road she will NOT be the next president.

2012 is the greatest opportunity that she will ever have, so if she wants to make a move now is the time.

But Palin must do something quickly because time is starting to run out.

Well if that is the case, then why does it make sense that we are being forced to give up so much of our freedom and liberty to fight terrorism? Instead of defying the terrorists, we are not even objecting as the authorities strip away not only our freedoms and our liberties, but our basic human dignity as well. The assault on our individual liberties should be one of the biggest political issues of our time, but very few of our politicians are even talking about it. America used to be "the home of the brave and the land of the free", but we are rapidly becoming the land of the jack-booted thugs. But we were honestly stunned when we saw the following video of Bill Clinton at a memorial service for Senator Robert Byrd. In the video posted below, Clinton explains that Byrd joined the KKK because "he was just trying to get elected".

Well, that just makes everything okay, now doesn't it?

Not.

The people of West Virginia should be ashamed for sending someone like Robert Byrd back to the U.S. Senate over and over and over. If you really dig in and do your research you will find out that he has knee deep in all sorts of bad stuff.

Byrd originally joined the KKK in 1942, and he became head of his local chapter before claiming to lose interest in the organization a year later.

However, in 1946 Byrd publicly said that the KKK was "needed today as never before".

But there is so much more to Robert Byrd's legacy. The truth is that he did not just make "one bad decision" when he was young. He spent his entire career in the U.S. Senate making really bad decisions which affected all of us. He was one of those horrible career politicians which we never had any hope of defeating because the foolish people of West Virginia seemed absolutely determined to keep sending him back to Washington.

So, no, the career of Senator Byrd should not be honored. He was wrong on almost any issue that you could possibly name and he tried to push America in the wrong direction for decades.

But people were willing to make excuses for him all of his career. Now, even in his death, Bill Clinton is making excuses for him....

The Economic Effects Of The Gulf Of Mexico Oil Spill

This article is written to analyze the potential economic fallout of the Gulf of Mexico oil rig explosion that occurred on April 20, 2010. I maintain that this incident could be the trigger of the American economic collapse. My expertise is in the insurance risk management and claims field. So, let’s look at what is going to happen as this disaster unfolds over time.

The oil drilling platform that burned and sank was drilling a well about 50 miles off the Louisiana coast. The derrick, the Deepwater Horizon, is owned by Transocean Ltd., and was leased to British Petroleum (BP). It was connected to the ocean floor by a “riser”…a 5,000 foot pipe that is now kinked like a garden hose. But the leaks are at the sea floor, not in the pipe. If BP, the lessee, cannot close the valve at the mile-deep wellhead, they may have to drill another well to relieve pressure. Some experts estimate that it could take two months to cap the well at the mile-deep ocean floor. And every day, somewhere between 1,000 and 5,000 BARRELS (200,000 to 1 million gallons) of crude oil float to the surface of the Gulf of Mexico.

The leading edge of the oil slick is about to make landfall at the Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi coasts. But there exists the possibility that the oil spill may be caught by the Gulf Stream…the powerful, warm, and swift Atlantic Ocean current that originates in the Gulf of Mexico, exits through the Strait of Florida, and follows the eastern coastlines of the United States and Newfoundland before crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

And, we are just about to enter the Hurricane season, which extends from June 1st to November 30th. Any hurricane that enters the Gulf of Mexico will disperse the surface oil to parts unknown. There is no predicting which coastlines could be coated with crude oil. Any Gulf hurricane will impede and stall cleanup efforts as well as vastly expanding the geographic footprint of the spill. Cleanup cost could multiply exponentially.

Could be an active hurricane season. Sea surface temperatures are already above 80 degrees Fahrenheit from West Africa to the Gulf of Mexico (see Global Sea Surface Temperatures). And warm water spawns hurricanes.

So, we may be witnessing the humble beginnings of a disaster that could potentially affect the American coastline from Texas to Newfoundland.

Insurance Claims Issues

First Party Claims

There will be a flood of first-party claims, which are claims for direct loss or damage to covered property. But most Commercial Property insurance policies exclude pollution-related losses unless the loss was caused by a “specified cause of loss,” usually named in the policy…and usually confined to occurring on the insured premises.

Tens of thousands of claims will be filed under the Business Income and Extra Expense sections of commercial insurance policies. Untold number of businesses will be adversely affected by the oil spill, such as resort owners, commercial fishermen and shrimpers, coastal rental property owners, seafood wholesalers, most tourist-related business at the seashore, and charter fishermen.

But once again, BI and EE coverage requires direct physical loss to covered property. So, many businesses will be shocked to discover that even though they have Business Interruption insurance, it does not mean that they have a legitimate BI claim.

Even those policyholders that do have acceptable and covered BI claims may be limited in their monetary recovery by the policy language. The period of restoration usually does not include any increased period of time due to the enforcement of any ordinance or law that may require a policyholder to mitigate the effects of, or clean up the pollutants.

So most policyholders will be out of luck by filing claims with their own insurance companies. More on this later.

This denial of coverage will spell the bankruptcy and end of tens of thousands of coastal businesses. The ripple effect from those businesses to their customers and suppliers, as well as the families employed by all parties, will be catastrophic.

Third-Party Claims

Another huge consideration is the certainty of third-party claims. First-party insurers that pay claims related to the oil spill will subrogate (seek recovery) against those parties responsible and liable for the damages. Then consider all of the business that will file third-party claims directly against the parties responsible and liable for the damages. The list will continue to mount over the coming decade or longer. Timing will be crucial in this matter, since many of the responsible parties may have already exhausted their liability coverage and their corporate assets. Lawyers may find that many responsible parties will close their doors, effectively barring recovery.

Post-Katrina Insurance Industry Reality

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, scores of insurance companies paid claims that they had originally denied. But sympathetic courts ordered them to pay claims that were arguably not covered. The same kinds of pressures will be brought to bear on ALL insurance companies in the aftermath of this oil spill disaster. In these kinds of widespread catastrophes, insurers will be required to pay claims that they may not owe simply because they CAN PAY. That takes some of the political pressure off of states and Washington.

Monstrous insurance loss payments can bankrupt insurance companies. But even worse are these politically-motivated claims for which the insurance company had not collected a premium. Do not be surprised to see many insurance companies fold in the wake of this ecological disaster if they are required to settle claims politically. And all insurance companies are backed up by reinsurance companies. The reinsurers will be hit with losses also, adding more ripples throughout the worldwide economy.

Lawsuits

In war, there is an old saying; “Kill them all…let God sort ‘em out.” That is kind of the philosophy of trial lawyers. In giant commercial enterprises such as BP, there will be dozens of entities that are involved…the parent company, subsidiary companies, contractors and suppliers. Trial lawyers customarily target the entities with the deepest pockets…plus everyone else. The lawsuits have already begun, and will name every business entity even remotely connected to the operation of the Deepwater Horizon oil platform. Every entity named in the lawsuits will be forced to defend itself.

And here’s where it gets even more complicated.

Many contracts between businesses and contractors contain a Hold Harmless clause that forces the contractor or vendor to absolve the business from liability, or at least to provide legal defense for the business. Common sense will tell you that subcontractors or vendors will have lower liability limits than the controlling entity, like BP. So lower liability limits will max out quickly.

The lawsuits will continue to be filed, and it will take years of legal wrangling to begin seeing damage awards meted out by all the various courts that will be involved.

Gigantic lawsuits and gigantic jury awards have the very real possibility of bankrupting the companies responsible for this oil spill.

Political Realities

Your Washington politicians have already passed legislation that protects their oil company buddies while exposing Americans to immense cleanup costs and business losses. A law passed in response to the 1989 Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska makes BP responsible for cleanup costs. But the law sets a $75 million limit on other kinds of non-cleanup damages. So, Federal law limits how much BP has to pay for damages such as lost wages and economic suffering in the Gulf Coast oil spill, despite President Barack Obama’s assurances that taxpayers will not be on the hook.

But the hue and cry from the Gulf Coast will be so great that Washington will feel entirely compelled to swoop in and start writing checks. The Hurricane Katrina/Rita debacle of 2005 is a scab on Washington’s skin that they don’t want torn off. And no Congressman is going to take a position against helping the poor Gulf fishermen and the rest of the populace that makes their living from Gulf and gulf-shore businesses. And despite Obama’s assurances, there is no way that he would refuse to sign a disaster relief law.

All of that means that the Federal Government will print more paper money and go deeper in debt. But printing paper money will hasten hyperinflation. And in order for Washington to go deeper in debt, foreign nations must by American debt securities. Eventually, foreign nations will cease cutting their own throats and say no to Washington.

Tens of thousands of Gulf Coast businesses will cease operations in the months to come. Banks that hold loans and mortgages on those businesses…as well as the loans and mortgages of the employees now thrown out of work…will suffer financial losses. Hundreds of thousands of coastal residences will be unemployed. Cars will be repossessed. Home foreclosures will escalate. Credit card companies will hold uncollectible accounts. Even the local Dairy Queen could suffer economic losses when the surrounding coastal community’s economy collapses.

And we haven’t even left the Gulf of Mexico yet. If the Gulf Stream moves the oil up the Eastern Seaboard, multiply all these predictions by an X factor.

Conclusion

As you see, the economic impact of the oil spill will reach around the world. Companies in the UK will be affected. Likely some insurers at Lloyd’s of London are involved. Reinsurance companies will take hits, which might affect companies in Germany, Switzerland, France and Bermuda. Domestic insurers will likely pay claims due to political pressure. Banks will suffer losses. Businesses will close. Unemployment will spike. Most importantly, it will place crushing pressure on Washington to fix the problem with money…and Washington withstands pressure like a Dixie cup under an elephant’s foot.

Therefore, I submit to you that the April 20th Gulf of Mexico oil disaster could very likely be the trigger of the collapse of the American economy.

Barack Obama Has Lost Almost Half Of His Jewish Support

Barack Obama is losing support rapidly among a key group of voters. A new poll by the McLaughlin Group shows that Obama has lost nearly half of his support among Jews living in the United States. In 2008, approximately 78% of Jewish voters supported Obama, but in the new poll, only 42% of Jewish voters said that they would vote for Obama again, and 46% indicated that they would vote for someone else. That is an extraordinary swing in less than two years.

The loss of support is especially pronounced among conservative Jews. For example, among Orthodox/Hassidic voters, 69% indicated that they would vote for someone else, while only 17% said they would be voting for Obama next time.

So why this dramatic loss of support?

Well, the truth is that there are a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest is the fact that Barack Obama intends to shove a Palestinian state down the throats of the Israeli people.

In fact, the McLaughlin Group poll definitely showed that to be the case. 52% of those responding to the poll said that they disapproved of the Obama Administration supporting a plan to recognize a Palestinian state within two years. 62% of the respondents said that if given a state, “the Palestinians would continue their campaign of terror to destroy Israel.”

Only 19% of those responding thought that the Palestinians would live peacefully with Israel if given a state.

But Barack Obama seems absolutely determined to give the Palestinians a state anyway - even if it does cost him some crucial votes in the next election.

The Verdict On This Administration So Far: Everything That Obama Touches Turns To Garbage

Barack Obama has been in the White House for over a year - so what does he and his administration have to show for it?

Well, as it turns out, not a whole heck of a lot. Obama and his administration have certainly "accomplished" a lot on their legislative agenda, but most of the measures they have gotten through have ended up being total disasters.

*One of the biggest initiatives so far was the massive Wall Street bailouts that Obama backed. Trillions were pumped into the U.S. economy and all we have to show for it is 2% growth. Oh, and a massively expanding national debt that our children and grandchildren will never, ever be able to pay off.

*So what about working Americans? Has Obama helped them like he said that he would do? No. In fact, the number of unemployed Americans per job opening has started to increase once again, hitting 5.5 in February. Unemployment is at the highest levels in recent memories, and millions of American workers are desperate for answers. Many of those who do manage to find employment have only been able to get part-time work. Gallup's underemployment measure hit 20.0% on March 15th. This was up from 19.7% two weeks earlier and 19.5% at the start of the year. Instead of helping American workers, things keep getting worse under Obama and there seems to be no end in sight to all the misery.

*The IMF is forecasting that unemployment will remain high for at least the next two years. This will mean that millions upon millions of American workers will still be extremely pissed off when the 2012 election season comes rolling around.

*Close to the beginning of his term, Obama announced a huge foreclosure assistance program that was supposed to help millions of Americans keep their homes instead of getting foreclosed on. Well, it turns out that only 168,708 U.S. homeowners have received long-term mortgage modifications under Barack Obama's plan as of the end of February. This represents less than 3 percent of the 6 million borrowers who are currently more than 60 days behind on their mortgages. But even those who have been "helped" are still failing. The number of American homeowners who defaulted on their mortgages even after receiving better terms through Obama's modification program nearly doubled in March.

*And things are expected to get even worse for the U.S. real estate market. RealtyTrac projects that there will be 4.5 million home foreclosures in the United States before the end of the year. If there are approximately 4 people per household, that is another 18 million people that will be forced out of their homes by the end of the year. So what in the world is Barack Obama going to do about that?

*Perhaps Barack Obama's biggest "achievement" was the health care bill that he was able to ram down the throats of the American people. In fact, over the past year health care has become one of the most hotly debated political issues of this generation. Poll after poll said that the American people did not like it, but Obama pushed it through anyway. So are we all going to get cheaper health insurance now? No. Even the Los Angeles Times, which is radically pro-Obama, is openly admitting that the new health care law will not prevent health care premiums from increasing dramatically. So while we all may not save money, it turns out that we will be coughing up a whole lot more, because the new health care bill is actually the biggest tax increase in U.S. history.

*So will Obama's much-balleyhooed health care law end up providing us all with more hospitals and better health care? Well, no. It turns out that the new health care law discriminates against physician-owned hospitals. According to the executive director of Physician Hospitals of America, more than 60 doctor-owned hospitals across the United States that were in the development stage will now be canceled. So why will these badly needed hospitals be canceled? Well, the new health care law singles out doctor-owned hospitals, making new doctor-owned projects ineligible to receive payments for Medicare and Medicaid patients. Without such payments the hospitals are not feasible. Now who in the world came up with that bright idea?

*Not only that, but the United States will shortly be facing a devastating shortage of doctors. The U.S. health care system was already projected to experience a shortage of about 150,000 doctors over the next decade or so, but thanks to the health care bill passed by Congress, that number is estimated to grow by several hundred thousand more. Talk about a mess!

*Obama's foreign policy has been a complete and total disaster as well. Not only is he recklessly dismantling America's nuclear arsenal, he is also playing games with Iran and his anti-Israel positions have brought the entire Middle East dangerously close to war.

So is there anything that Obama is doing right?

Not really.

The best thing that he could do for America would be to take a lot of vacations for the rest of his term and do as little as possible. That way there would be less damage to be undone when the next president takes over.

So just who is this jihadist group?

They are known as the "Muslims of America", which reportedly is the name that Jamaat ul-Fuqra uses in the United States. They are a militant Islamic organization based in Pakistan. In 2005, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security warned that Jamaat ul-Fuqra has "the capacity to attack" America. They are also believed to have been involved in the beheading of reporter Daniel Pearl.

Just watch the incredibly shocking video below. If "terrorists" were conducting training exercises like this in Iraq and Afghanistan would they not be wiped of the map?

So why is this type of thing allowed to go on inside the United States?

While the U.S. military chases its tail looking for Al-Qaeda, Jamaat ul-Fuqra is allowed to set up terror training camps inside the United States with impunity.
