Yup, we're the culprits. The Desert Cities trouble makers spreading the word about local venues, places to go and people to see! Dennis' idea to start this blog has produced a never-ending stream of free advertising opportunities for local businesses, friends and artists. We plan to make local events a news worthy story whenever we can.

Dennis Groveman also known by his friends as Groovy, Groovyman and Mr. Outrageous has been a staple in the Desert Cities area for a very long time. As a childhood actor he learned early on how to steal the show and get the party started. His main role is Social Director & Host at gatherings where we decide to land for an afternoon or evening of fun and adventure.

As Photographer & Writer, Anna Miller brings balance to Dennis' over-the-top personality. Our friends mean the world to us and having a place to share their expertise is more than fun, it's exhilarating.

Mikole Kaar Jazz Jam Every Tuesday at PS Tavern

PS Tavern is located in a small strip center on the corner of Vista Chino and Gene Autry roads in Palm Springs, California. It's a little hole in the wall tavern and reminds me of my favorite beer joints and taverns back home in the mid-west. But don't let the size of the PS Tavern stop you from stopping in! It's one of the Desert Cities best kept secrets!

The Mikole Kaar Jazz Jam is fantastic. The group is ever changing. Local talent and musicians pop in and out all evening providing the audience with a variety of instrumentals and songs. It's an amazing place to visit on Tuesdays.

Randy, PS Tavern Owner, offers a fun venue every night of the week. Tuesdays Jazz Jam is from 8-11 p.m. Be there or be square! Beat nicks and old hippies welcome! We'll see you there for sure!

Some of the best music in the Desert Cities area is made by a group led by John Stanley King. John's background and passion for music is a must see and hear venue. Whenever you hear or see the name John Stanley King be prepared for a treat! His heart felt music is reminiscent of days gone by. As he sings and strums his guitar memories flash in the minds of his audience. He has a way of bringing the past to today's reality.

Daytime Emmy Nominated actor, Ron Hale, was honored with the 340th Golden Palm Star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars. The star was unveiled during a star dedication ceremony on Saturday January 7, 2012 at 3:00p.m. at The Blue Coyote 445 North Palm Canyon Drive. Robert Alexander, President of the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, will preside over the event. The public and media are invited to attend.

Any ABC soap fan worth their bubbles recognizes the names "Roger Coleridge" and "Mike Corbin." These are two staples of ABC daytime history brought to vivid life by the talented and fascinating actor Ron Hale, who was named as one of the “Best 50 Soap Actors Ever” based on rankings by 15 different soap critics and journalists who have covered the genre over the past 35 years.

It’s been 45 years since Ron Hale unpacked his one suitcase in New York City and went to his first class at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Primarily a theater trained actor, daytime work helped support Ron’s theatre work. As a young actor starting out, Ron Hale was cast on “Search for Tomorrow” playing Walt Driscoll. That was followed by his role in the television series “Love is a Many Splendored Thing” where he played the role of Dr. Jim Abbott.

Some of Ron Hale’s other career highlights include playing the role of Sturgis in “All The President's Men” (1976) as well as his long time role on “Ryan's Hope” playing Roger Coleridge (1975-1989). Dennis "Groovyman" Groveman had an idea. He said, "Why don't we start writing about our experiences around town? We'll visit places, establish relationships with the owners and give them free advertising." The idea was a perfect fit for our group called The Posse's Party.
