It was backed by "&lt;em&gt;j.d.h.a.n.e.y.&lt;/em&gt;". The A side appeared on their third album, &lt;em&gt;Eligible Bachelors&lt;/em&gt;. The B side was named after a band member who just left the band (J.D. Haney) and was not included on the album until it was added as a bonus track on the CD re-release. The London post punk band rose from the ashes of a 1976 college band called The B Sides which included Stuart Goddard (Adam Ant). They released five albums before disbanding in 1985. The Massapequa, NY trio had already released two albums in the U.K. The U.S. release was a combination of the two U.K. albums with more tracks coming from their self-titled U.K. debut. It was a success as "&lt;em&gt;Rock This Town&lt;/em&gt;" reached the #9 spot on the U.S. singles chart and "&lt;em&gt;Stray Cat Strut&lt;/em&gt;" reached the #3 spot. The album, itself, reached the #2 spot on the U.S. albums chart. The single reached the #3 spot on the U.K. singles chart but failed to chart in the U.S. The Essex, England new wave band disbanded in 1983 after two albums. Vince Clarke, formerly of Depeche Mode, went on to form Erasure. Yazoo was known as Yaz in the U.S. because there was already a U.S. band named Yazoo. It was a mixture of studio and live poems set to music. The single, "&lt;em&gt;Gimmix&lt;/em&gt;" was on this album. The CD re-release expanded this to 32 tracks, including the inclusion of some Peel Sessions tracks and the &lt;em&gt;Innocents&lt;/em&gt; EP. John Cooper Clarke was a punk poet from Manchester, England, whose poems would often, but not always, be set to background music. He opened for such bands as Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols, Joy Division and The Fall. In 1990, they released a compilation called &lt;em&gt;45 Revolutions Per Minute&lt;/em&gt; and included both of these tracks. The Harlow, England punk/post punk band later shortened their name to The Neurotics. It was backed by "&lt;em&gt;We Were&lt;/em&gt;". The A side appeared on their debut album, &lt;em&gt;Waiting For A Miracle&lt;/em&gt;. The B side was a non-LP track but it was added as a bonus track when the album was re-released on CD. The band re-corded and re-released the A side as a 7 inch and a 12 inch in 1983 and it reached the #71 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Sheffield, England post-punk/new wave band changed their name to the C.S. Angels later on due to some pressure from Comsat, the satellite company. They disbanded in 1995 with nine albums to their credit. Their bass player was Kevin Bacon.
