I love Audrey. She is so elegant and classy, her sense of style is timeless. Audrey was born Audrey van Heemstra Ruston in Belgium in 1929....*she's not American? or British? I'm so ignorant* thats basically all i know about her hahahaahah~ the rest i supposed you could google her, no point of repeating those..

Anyway her style is always elegant and simple with just the right amount of sexiness. She'd opt for capri pants, ballet flats, her famous trademark the little black dress, full skirt, short string pearls or something less feminine but made it look sexy like button-down men's shirts, huge hats and sunglasses. She made it her style and trademark and it remain in fashion until now.

the best thing about her style is that anyone can have it, no matter what budget you have its do-able then all you need is class. Keep it slick and simple, you can't go wrong (well at least won't stray far)

the key to her look is:

know your body and work it to your advantage. Experiment and see what works best for you.
Dress comfortably. there is no point of being all high fashion but you are suffering from it. The the que from Audrey, when everyone else is wearing heels she opt for ballet shoes/flats.
Good Posture. Do not slouch at any circumstances. Audrey was a ballerina before she was an actress so she have that perfect posture.
Simple Make up. Keep it simple and light. less is actually more!
Be confident! You are just as beautiful when you are confident with yourself.

True Spa

Last week my sister and i went to True Spa for a relaxing aromatherapy massage. With that package we got a FOC foot spa. well we got to choose either a jacuzzi bath or the foot spa we chose the later.

The treatment was great, the used excellent massage techniques, we fell asleep through out the treatment. only that the product used was aromatically weak, which defeat the 'aromatherapy' purpose, you get what i mean?

They have great facility from swimming pool to manis and paddys, spas...i'm not sure if they had facial treatment.

True Spa is located at the 4th floor of Jaya 33. I did some searching (online) and i notice a lot of negative sentiment mostly due to difficulties on getting a spot / appointment but we find that it is not the case. we never....well at least for now had any problem on setting on our appointment dates so i guess its just a lousy luck then?

btw this is not a paid endorsement just a mere show and tell (hence the lack of info of the establishment)

mind the ugly leg =p...my feet,foot, legs was so happy with the spa treatment. i mean so doesn't...the relaxing massage and all ^_^

Product Review: b.liv Off With Those Heads

I may be selling i Nuovi's products but it doesn't mean that I do not have any other favorite. I do have other makeup favorite like...i do love MAC, Giorgio Armani, Bobbi Brown hmmm just to name a few but I don't like 'all' their range just few selected products that is actually suitable for me.

And today I thought of doing a product review on b.liv by Cellnique. I'm writing because I simply LOVE this product. While I surf around the net i get mix review on this product but for me I only have 1 opinion that is it is a great black head remover product...ok ok before you skeptics question me, just hear me out...

First of all when i use this product it didn't magically remove my blackheads, which when i first use this product i thought that its a disappointment but then... when i examine closely my pores (after an over night application) it seems that my pores are slightly enlarged and I noticed that my blackheads are almost on the tip of my pores so i gently pushes it and wallah...it came right off!!!

Its amazing, it came right off with out the 'extra' effort (we all know that black heads are stubborn and painful to rid off) and painless too so thats why I LOVE it!! After removing it cleanse it and apply toner and whatver skincare you have. Then you pores will be 'back to normal'...no worries your pores did not get any larger that it already is. ;)

Yes it does need a little work (no magic in puffing out the blackheads) but it is non the less effective blackhead remover. You can simply save a couple of hundreds of facial treatment with just this product and do you own facial at home....

My verdict in the nut shell:-

Would i buy again?: YES definitely.

Do i like it? : Isn't it obvious? I love it!

Does it work? : Hell yeah....though it does need some work but it still works

Whats the price? : its USD$49 Malaysian RM I'm not too sure but its not all cheap so that a bit of a downer

the bright side is that you only use just a tiny amount on the affected area... : -/

I think its available in selected Watson or Guardian ...

Pixie Cut is IN

hi, i know that its been a while and I'm sorry. I was busy with my son's birthday and in between being sick and tired...but anyway i was sitting and resting while watching TV and E! did some kind of coverage about fashion and hairstyles and they spotted the latest look/makeover. The Pixie cut.

To be honest I'm not a big fan of the Pixie cut but as i briefly scan thru some of my Mag and it seem to be true Pixie is IN....every well it seem that lately many celebs are sporting the cut. We know famous pixies that totally rocking the look Charlize T and Halle Barry (these to superstars can rock any look if you ask me) but then slowly the style is picking up and stars like Katie Holmes and bff Victoria Beckham is sporting the look (well Holmes did a slightly longer and more edgy pixie look) and they pull it off then I'm not sure the time line is but Alissa Milano did the pixie cut and she look slick and stunning. Then we see Natalie Portmen rocking the look well she kindda have to coz she did shave her locks but regardless she looked STUNNING and more out going if you ask me. Then we also have Salma Blair, Mena Suvari, Sharon Stone and even Jamie Lee Curtis...and i think theres a long list of celeb pixies that seem to be blocked in my mind.

But now the more recent Pixie is Ema Wotson. Yeah she chopped off her signature long wavy locks for a Pixie look...I was surprised to see her new look, but i think she look fabulous although I kindda prefer her long locks (call me bias but i love long locks esp if its wavy lol) She chopped of her locks right after finish filming the last Harry Potter.

I guess its true when ever i cut my hair shot that is how i feel too. I cut my hair alot...its rare of me to have LONG hair. Its mainly because i have fine hair and its too much of a hassle for me to deal with it especially when you are a hijab wearer so a short boyish hair or pixie is the way to go although i never went Pixie before coz i have chubby cheeks hahahahaha but anyway its a great look for thick or fine hair and if you have great facial bone structure it'll be even fantastic as it'll show character and people will notice you in an instant!

I love Kandee Johnson, she's a Celebrity Makeup artist and she makes the best makeup tutorial ever! i love her, although Michelle Phan and Panache81 does great tutorials too but i love kandee's most. Then i just discover Audfaced, she's fantastic too especially in special effects makeup, look them up in You tube. I'm sure you'll love them too.

I'm having the worst flu ever, i keep sneezing and tearing (watery eyes) its horrible! But lucky for me, i've done the spring inspired makeup last Friday night just before i had this horrible flu. So right now i'm blogging with a sore nasal and watery eyes, therefore i'm gonna be quick.

Since its Spring inspired makeup, i'm using colorful eyeshadow for this look. Its fun to make and fun to wear too.

For this look i use:-

FACE:
Inuovi Skin Tint foundation in 3Y
Undercover Concealer for dark circles
Loose Powder 4Y
Cheek Blush in Dolly
Blush D36 in Fairy

Eyes:
D27 Fairytale
D27 moss
Trucolor D30 in Rich Gold

Lips:
Megelips Velvet Shine in Barely French

*Additional Tip*
Outline upper lip cupid bow with highlights or pencil concealer in lighter tone. this like make the lips look more well defined and highlighted. For a more 3D look, before applying gloss dab a highlight eyeshadow to the middle of your lips (upper and lower, in the middle only) and blend a little.

When i applied the eye makeup i use an eye primer Inuovi Fix it on one side and non on the other. You can see the difference. The eye with Fix it application have a more vibrant eye color.

I'm sorry because of the poor lighting the photos. It has been a really moody and rainy day, I took these pictures in the morning when it was going to rain so i was loosing day light (natural light) very fast, that is much needed for a photo shoot. So i had to turn on the lights later, but non the less i think it turned out great despite the yellow-ish picture (my house has only yellow lights ...)

ok i did this 'diagram' on how to get the look and mark numbers on areas to apply the eyeshadow. Its not perfect, but i hope you get the picture.

Before you start to apply any eye makeup, i suggest you use eyebase/primer first. This way you'll get the true color of the eyeshadow and helps to prevent creasing. Apply eye base after foundation.

Area 1: is the area that you would want to apply highlights. Apply Crystalline in area 1, this area is on and above brow bone. Its the bony area area of the eyes. Apply this right up to the inner corner of the eyes.
Area 2: is the area that i want to start to layer, i use fairytale or any pastel pink hue will do. Pink is a beautiful combo with green, its unusual but its beautiful! besides i want to soften the look other wise your eyes will look too engaging ^_^. Blend Fairytale on the crease just below the brow bone.
Area 5: I only mark it near the inner corner but its actually the whole eyelid. apply the lightest green shade - Suede on the entire eye lid, blend it towards the outer corner eyelid (according to your eye shape) blend it upwards. Also apply it at the rims of your eyes, below your water line.
Area 4: Center of eyelids. Apply a similar eye color but more intense, in this care is Moss. Apply to the center of eyelids, blend outwards to the outer corner of the yes. Then layer it also below your eyes below waterline.
Area 3: Its the outer corner of the eye and its where you want to start creating depth. Use the darkes shade of green, I'm using Cat's eye. This color is brilliant in creating smokey eyes effect as it has dark almost black under tone to it but you can still see the green, its A Mazing! anyway, just dap a little of it, dust it off a little once you dab (this will minimize mistake) then apply on the outer corner of the eyes, from the diagram, area 3 is actually overlapping on area 2, 3, 6., its like C shape, apply starting on 3 then blend it to 6 then 2, with the excess of the application. This will create the smokey effect.
Use clean blending brush to blend everything out. Then use a flat liner brush to line your eyes with Cat's eye as close to the lash as possible and around the rim of the eyes. then blend a little, up wards /out wards.
Area 1.1: Lastly inner corner of the eyes near the tear ducts. Apply a dab of Crystaline. this will give you a more open & bright eye look.

and we are done! I hope that you understand my explanation and walk through. Any question pleas ask or just comment, we LOVE comments!

p/s: I'll try and do a better instruction with step by step picture next time.

Color Pop is seem to be the trend for this spring/summer makeup trend. Color pop is statement making colors that are bold and beautiful just like the butterflies in Spring time. Beautiful colorful shades and bold lips, glitters and electric eyeliner is what has been featured in Fashion Week and will surely live into the Spring/Summer 2011 season. Dior is sporting the colorful bold look...

For this Entry I've recreated a look sampled from Malaysian's Women Weekly January 2011 issue using iNuovi makeup line.

the above is from my private collection, all sold items are NEW & in GOOD condition. The picture is to show you roughly how the eyeshadow is.

Fantasy color is almost pastel, it a very pigmented light blue as for Plasma is basically blue with green under tone..somewhat like turquoise. Hype is like a cobalt blue or oreo blue. I personally love this shade, in the plate it looks intense but its not all that bad look at the swatches..it came out nice and very pigmented too! as for Fairytale it is a pastel pink with i think there's orange (more like peachy) under tone to it its lovely and sweet.

i did one with this shade (fairytale) i coupled it with techno (brown), as you can see in the picture i apply fairytale at the corner of my eyes near my tear duct for that open fresh eyed look. i love it...i love fairytale its so sweet and cute, you can just wear as it is and put eyeliner and mascara to finish and you'll look lovely just like that!

Here are some of my favorite greens and again these are from my private collection just for your viewing. If you like you can buy them (brand new, mind you) too or any colors for that matter just choose which colors you like.

Suede is the lightest color here. It can be use as highlight on your brow bone. Moss color is like moss...or olive tone but when apply it has that velvety look and when look closer it is like there's gold somewhere in there...and Cat's Eye is the darkest tone here it has black under tone with shimmery green glitters to it. its gorgeous...perfect for a smokey eye look, if you want more dimension you can simply layer it with moss and suede.

This is the best Dieting product that i have ever tried. I've only been using it for 2 weeks and i can already see changed, i was in disbelieve but nevertheless happy because i can fit in some of my old clothes better (because before this my clothes were tight around my shoulders and chest. Naturally i was happy and got me new fabrics and off i go to my tailor and she said "wah, you sudah kurus ka? nampak macam u sudah kurang 2 inci kat bahu...1.5 inci kat pinggang and punggung. you buat apa?" that's my tailor saing that i've lost 2 inch around my shoulders and 1.5inch around my waist and butt. I was smiling ear to ear! who wouldn't? right?

To be honest i've tried many slimming products but the results are disappointing regardless of the effort of dieting and exercise you'd somehow maintain the weight instead of loosing it. I was skeptical at first but my best friend sworn by it, she said that she lost 20kg for the last 3 months...i was like 20kg????????really???? TIPU!
then she said if you don't believe me its your lost. i'm not selling you this i was just recommending you to it since you told me that you are struggling with your weight and all. then i paused and wondered for days until i finally decide to invest RM450 for 3boxes of Jus Mate 5 that would last only for a month. You see i weight more than 80kg, so i need to drink 2 sachet a day, morning and night. So 1 box would only last me around 10days.

the product is drink-able, its orange in flavor, its not fibrous (tak kembang bila dibancuh air) but its on the sweet side for me so i tend to put in extra water to dilute the sweetness. When you drink it at first you'll experience:-

frequent visit to toilet to pee, you'll pee like nobody's business! This is good because its extracting your water retention at cellular level.
for me i became a bit windy =p not sure if this is one of the effects
you'll gradually loose your appetite to eat, in a good way. which means that you'll eat sufficiently and not excessively. i find myself eat lesser than i used to.
your bowel movement will be more smooth and stable ( i jenis yang sembelit slalu so this is good for me)

I will not weight myself just yet, because i want to use this product for at least a month then i'll weight myself and see progress. but mu current weight is more than 80kg waaaaaa~ i'm in the fattest state in my life its horrible!i'm only lucky that i am tall (5'8") i want my pre babies weight which was 65kg...=(

lets just see if this product REALLY works (although so far it seems to be working)...i hope to loose 20kg like my best friend....

broken eyeshadow is always a messy problem for me. once my eyeshadow palette is broken, i would usually set it aside until forever....might as well throw it away. you know its a situation that you want to throw but feels "argh..that cost me a lot.." then ended up keeping it to rote instead.

well those days are over! I have found a great way of saving it. Thanx to make up Guru Kandee J. its simple and easy too. I am basically remaking her tutorial except i'm translating in Malay and i also did a slight change from what kandee's tutorial (regarding the material used cotton cloth to plastic wrap) because i feel that its hard to find a good t-shirt cotton fabric laying around unless you cut it from your old t-shirt or something so my alternative to that is plastic wrap and it works just as well! - plus its easier to find
all you need is:

clear plastic or zip lock plastic
broken eyeshadow
alcohol <--- you can buy it from the pharmacy
pencil or tiny spoon
syringe or a dropper
plastic wrap <--kandee uses cotton cloth instead of plastic wrap.
20cent or any object around that size (coz its the closest size to the individual eyeshadow)

so here's an easy way to save your broken make up. Enjoy the video!

Nothing beats tired skin better than a good facial mask. It can act as a skin support system to keep zits at bay, plumping up skin with moisture and even brighten up your skin complexion! But with many many types of choices available in the market, how do you know which is actually suitable for you? Here's some simple explanation of types of masks and what suits your skin type best. Perhaps by the end of the day you could try one out tonight!

I find that shi seido moisture relaxing mask is Great for dry skin like myself. You'll definitely feel your skin more supple and moist after application.

CREAM MASKS
it is usually a moisturizing formula that are generally used to replenish parched skin. It is also excellent for soothing the skin after being out in the sun. The 'cream' or 'gel' base, provides dehydrated skin with a protective barrier so that natural moisture stays in.

Just apply a layer on skin, leave for about 10 minutes. while this type of mask is great on dry skin, its probably too rich for oily complexion and may cause break outs.

Dead Sea or Fuller's Earth mask is the best for oily complexion with large pores.

CLAY or MUD MASKS
Highly recommended for oily skin type as the clay/mud helps soak up excess sebum and dirt trapped within pores while they dry. what's more these masks helps tighten skin and stimulate blood circulation.

Splash lukewarm water over face then apply all around the face except around mouth and eyes for oily complexion. but if you have combination skin, apply only on your T-zone. rinsing face before applying mask with lukewarm water will help open the pores, allowing mask to clear up dirt. Rinse off mask after 10 minutes. If you have sensitive skin, it may cause discomfort.

PEEL-OFF MASKS
This type of mask helps to speed up skin renewal process as they lifts dead skin cells. You need to apply a thick enough layers to be able to peel it off in one piece and wait for it to completely dry before removing it. this may take around 15-30 minutes. you may feel a pinching sensation while removing the mask as it attaches itself to dead skin cells while it dries, but you should peel it off by rolling the mask downwards starting from forehead.

SHEET MASKS
this is probably the latest type of mask now widely available in the market. i remember (about 10 years ago) that this type of mask was only available for salon use. anyway this is usually a treatment mask that comes pre-soaked in skin essence that to be absorb by the skin. Just unfold the mask and apply accordingly. remove after 10-15 minutes, discard the mask but massage the excess essence to the skin. this type of mask widely available in ranges from whitening to acne use. but i'd limit the time for 10 minutes for acne treatment and probably maximized on hydration treatment.
